Classes had finally started again for all of the students, and that meant actually getting up when one's alarm started instead of sleeping in anymore! After the Winter Solstice Celebration, Lailah had mostly relaxed, playing with her new familiars, learning how to take care of them properly, and reading as much as she wanted to.
However, soon enough, school started once again, and she had to learn how to get back into her 'routine', or at least as much of a routine as a freshling like her had. Luckily they didn't move classrooms too much, but she still had a hard time concentrating in class, along with everywhere else too.
It was now the end of the school day, and classes were over, when Lailah had headed back to her dorm room. She was walking with her head in the clouds, not paying attention to where she was going, and was about to walk into a column!

 Magi had just finished her last class for the day she was walking along trying to decide what she wanted to do with her afternoon when she saw someone about to walk into a collum. She blinked and then called out "Hey watch out." She hoped she would get their attention in time to keep them from getting hurt. Otherwise, she figured she would just go over and help them with whatever boo-boos they received. She hurried over in their direction to see what their state of ouch or not ouch was. Her tail flipping about in a nervous gesture.

Just one more step and Lailah would have gone 'smack'! Right into the column! However, she heard a yell somewhere, which snapped her out of her head for a bit, and with her food still out, looked over in the direction that the yell had come from, only to see another freshling dashing over to Lailah. Lailah turned away from the column, still not appreciating the danger she had been in, wonder why the other freshling was coming towards her. Maybe it was to make friends? Lailah smiled at the other and said when they got close enough, "Hello, I'm Lailah."How this fallen had survived so far in this world was anyone's guess.

Magi looked at the other freshling she was glad she had managed to keep them from running into the collum and getting hurt that wouldn't be good at all. "I'm Magi, I'm glad you didn't get hurt." she said in a gentle tone. She wasn't really sure what to say next. "Umm, so what were you doing?" She asked in a curious tone. She wasn't sure what she wanted to do that afternoon, but perhaps someone to play with would be nice. Her sibling was busy that afternoon and she wasn't sure what her cousins were doing lately. Magi needed some friends of her own.

Lailah moved her head to one side, wondering what the other freshling was talking about. "Hurt? Was something about to happen to me?" Lailah could see perfectly fine, and yet it was like she couldn't see at all. She smiled at the other. "I was just walking back to my dorm. Though I was also thinking about the pretty sky I saw yesterday and the afternoon colors it turned into..." She only wished there had been some way to capture how beautiful it looked. A camera wouldn't quite do it justice. It was more like it needed to be shown in a painting... She paused for a bit, memories flitting in her head, before she focused on the other Freshling again. "I'm Lailah. What's your name?"

Magi blinked the freshling clearly had no idea what had almost happened and she wasn't sure if she should say anything or not. Magi was lost in thought about the freshling being lost in thought about the sky and capturing the sky. "Oh, I'm Magi." She said in a quiet tone. Magi wasn't a very forward or brash hybrid. She liked to read and she well she didn't really know what she wanted to do. She hadn't really seen what was out there to decide what she liked and what she didn't like. Magi wasn't even sure what her favorite food was yet.

Lailah smiled at Magi. "Magi. It's nice to meet you Magi. I'm glad I finally know the name of another freshling here." Lailah didn't know quite a few around here and so it was always nice when she finally got to know someone a bit better, especially if she had just seen them in passing. Lailah turned to look at the hallway a bit, and saw that it was mostly empty, and that there was a pillar nearby. I wonder when that got there. She said, taking a moment to look at it before turning back to the other freshling. "Were you headed in this direction also? We can walk together until we need to part ways if you wish." Lailah continued to keep her dreamy tone the whole time, which could be off-putting to others who didn't quite know her. But she couldn't help it, it was like she saw the world through pink-colored lenses.

Magi tilted her head to the side "You don't have any friends either?? I have my sibling and cousins but they have their own lives so I'm kinda alone too." She said in a gentle tone. Magi nodded "Yea I think I was heading to the freshling dorms." She rubbed the back of her head. She had forgotten what she was doing when she was frightened Lailah would get hurt running into the pillar. So she totally forgot what she had been planning to do. Not that it was very important anyway. Magi held out her hand to Lailah so they could walk together if Lailah wanted to. Perhaps it was a silly gesture but Magi wanted to make friends and also make sure Lailah didn't run into anything else. Which would be easier holding their hand.

"I have friends… or at least acquaintances. I'm not sure. Most of the time I end up by myself but knowing another freshling name is always a good thing. I don't want to keep calling someone 'you' all the time." She replied, laughing softly. "But I would love to be your friend if you would like." It never hurt to have more friends! If Lailah remembered about them that was. If they came within her sight again she would remember, but usually her head was firmly in the clouds. "All right then. We can learn where each other's rooms are and that way we can find each other much more easily." If Lailah wasn't being wistful, she was being a bit too logical. She then turned in the direction that lead to the dorms, and waited for Magi to walk with her. Midnightglow18 All right, last post from me. Thanks so much for the rp!

Magi wasn't sure what to say when her new friendish said they already had friends she wondered for a moment if they would need her as a friend at all her insecurity showing through. She listened as they talked and they walked together back to the dorms and soon would part ways since they lived in different parts of the dorm. Magi nodded and then took a piece of paper out of her backpack and wrote down her dorm number in the Arkham dorm for Lailah would know where she lived. "Umm, maybe we could have a sleepover sometime?" She offered and then hurried off afraid Lailah would say no.
