Name: Loren Alex Malinowski
Nickname: none
Age: 19
Birthday: May 04th, 1998
Sign: Taurus
Gemstone: Green jade
Blood Type: A+
Fav. Food: Bacon cheeseburger poutine because honestly the only thing that could improve a bacon cheeseburger and fries is smothering them in brown gravy
Hated Food: Stone fruit. Peaches and all that taste good, sure, but the mushy fruit isn’t worth the trouble of dealing with the pit, and syrup-y pre-cut versions are too sweet.
School: Sophomore at Destiny City University, studying anthropology
Hobbies: Otome games—the cheesier the better, starting with Pigeon Dating Sim when he was a pre-teen. He can be a bit picky about them, though, as he doesn’t like anything he interprets as being shoe-horned, and drama better have a good explanation.
Collects obscure ribbon—he doesn’t DO much with it, but he keeps a scrapbook with pieces of ribbon from all over the place, with all sorts of colours, styles, you name it. Christmas is the best, because of all the kitschy fake velvet ribbon covered in glitter.
Comics—He’s not picky, doesn’t care too much for style purists, and only loosely follows storylines, but he will go toe-to-toe with anyone on which Batkid is The Best™ (it’s Stephanie Brown or Cassandra Cain. It’s always Stephanie Brown or Cassandra Cain. He will fight you. He will fight your mom. He will fight your dog.).
Virtues:
+ Attentive -- Loren takes an active interest in other people around him, what they're doing, what they want, et cetera. Ostensibly, it's to make sure they're happy, healthy, and fed--he comes from a Polish family, okay, food is A Thing--but it has its fringe benefits, like making him less likely to forget deadlines or names. He notices patterns very quickly because of this, and is more likely to notice something being out of place or out of the ordinary to how it normally is. He might not say anything, but he will probably notice if you show up to class and seem a bit blue.
+ Generous -- Loren likes a thing, and he is very enthusiastic about this, and Loren also wants you to like the thing, even if that means lending you half of his New 52 collection. If you need lunch money, he's got you, bro, and talk to him before you buy a textbook; he probably has the last edition on .pdf and he will definitely give it to you if you only ask him. And yes, of course, he will send you that link to that walkthrough for that game so you can get the best ending.
+ Sentimental -- Loren places a great deal of importance on acts of kindness or generosity shown to him and on gifts given to him by people he cares about. He remembers favors and strives to repay them, and he takes very good care of things people have given or loaned to him. He spends a lot of time carefully thinking over gifts he gives others, and he puts more emphasis on symbolism and symbolic gestures than he'd readily admit. And, if he's told you he's planning on sticking by you, he means it. Promises like that are important to him.
Flaws:
- Inflexible -- Loren likes things a certain way and loathes any disruption to his routine. He does not care that that's how you want to do it. He's going to do it this way. Yes, your way is technically more efficient, but the world will not end and the project will not fail if he does it his way. Oh, plans need to change because of unavoidable circumstances? Okay, he's not mad at you, he gets it, but he's still going to go sulk and it's best to leave him alone. If you insist on rushing him, he will push back until either you leave him alone or it ends in an argument.
- Socially Mystified -- Loren has a bit of a problem with trying to put square pegs in round holes. He tries, he does, but Loren does not actually understand people all that well. He knows you're stressed out, he knows that giving you a sandwich has helped you cheer up in the past, but he doesn't necessarily know why this is. Maybe you were just hangry before, maybe the stress was because you were dealing with higher-than-average pressures, he has no idea. He has no idea how to ask, either. You may just find a sandwich presented next time you're stressed out, and he will expect the same result, because, well, it worked then.
- Blunt -- Loren means well, but he takes people's statements and questions at face value. If he is asked for his opinion or advice, the asker should be prepared for a thorough, honest answer. He understands the difference between bluntness and rudeness, but he does not always succeed in articulating himself accordingly. His typically neutral resting expression doesn't really help matters, either, and Loren spends probably half again as much time clearing up misunderstandings as he did answering the question in the first place.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Eyes: Jade/mint green, hooded
Hair: Sandy brown (PANTONE 16-1328 TPX Sandstone) ████ with copper (PANTONE 16-1325 TPX Copper) ████ tones; short and curly—does not tame well
Face: Oval face, very fair-skinned. No freckles or birthmarks. Small, straight nose. Narrow mouth with fuller upper lip
Clothes: He has a narrow, slender frame and dresses for it. He prefers pants that make his legs look longer than they are and shirts that make his shoulders and chest look broader than they are. Padded shoulders are only out of style if it’s obvious they’re padded. He favours brights on darks, like bright blue on dark green, or bright dandelion yellow on dark purple. Not too many accessories, but the ones he does wear tend to be statement pieces. Embroidery? Ha! No no, he was joking give that back.

Senshi: Phaethon of Happiness Challenge: Happy to see me? Fuku Colour:Main Color: (aside from the white) Gold Secondary Color: Berry red Fuku: Reference pictures may be used in place of descriptions, but please be prepared to give extra detail if your artist requires it! Collar -- see image Bow -- see image Bodice -- see image Sleeves -- none Brooch -- see image Bottoms -- see image Tiara -- see image Choker -- none Shoes -- see image Gloves -- none Accessories -- see image Attacks: These are your senshi's abilities, which will be used in battle. These abilities correspond to your senshi's element. Think of it as a "summary" of what your senshi can do in one word. Sailor Scout Attack: Warm Fuzzies Phaethon rubs his hands together and then turns them outwards as if warming them by a fire before touching his palms against the target. His target feels a sense of fuzzy, warm happiness, like a blanket. It can help lift moods and encourage the target to adopt a "can-do" attitude, making it somewhat easier to ignore minor injuries. Uses: 3 Range: one target in the area Duration: 25 seconds Limits: He can't force someone to be happy or (obviously) override their personality/mind/etc.--the fuzziness is a strong suggestion, but still just a suggestion. Also, injuries are not healed in any way, just easier to power through if minor enough (sprains, wrenched muscles, twisted ankles, etc.). Super Sailor Scout Attack: Uplifted Spirits Like with Warm Fuzzies, Phaethon rubs his hands together. This time, when he turns his hands outward, he sweeps them palms-up towards the sky, and there's a faint, purely cosmetic glow around them for a brief moment. The target is buoyed like with Warm Fuzzies, but for a longer period of time. The boost in happiness boosts the ability of the target to heal to a minor degree; minor injuries might heal quickly, and more serious injuries might be somewhat less lethal, with the pain from them lessening a bit while the effect is active. Uses: 3 Range: 10ft Duration: 30 seconds Limits: Like with Warm Fuzzies, he can't force happiness on anyone/override their mind/etc.. If they resist the mood boost, then they resist the mood boost, but the pain relief, etc. is tied to the feeling of happiness. He can't grant them independently, under the logic of happiness and improved mood helping with healing, so just as he can't force someone to be happy, he can't push the healing through anyway if they resist it. Eternal Sailor Attack: That Happy Feeling Phaethon brushes his palms up his chest in a circular motion a couple of times before turning his hands palm-out. A rush of pleasantly warm air--like the first bit of warm air after you step in from being outside in the cold--envelops an area around him, boosting the ability to heal themselves of those in that area and restoring some stamina, as well as offering a rush of optimism and mental fortitude. Minor injuries can be healed, and bleeding can be slowed down to help prevent bleeding out from more serious injuries. Uses: 1 Range: any ally within a 15ft radius Duration: 45 seconds Limits: He must remain in more or less one place for the casting part, so that the area of effect is rooted in one location. Someone must be within the effective radius at the moment it's cast to receive the benefits; if he or they leave the area, he's/they're still affected for its duration, but anyone entering the area after the field is set up is not affected by it. He cannot heal broken bones, amputations, things of that nature--they can be assuaged somewhat as described, but not healed.

~*~ Info Apart from the Form ~*~
a.k.a Fun Facts
Loren comes from a small, but very close knit, Polish family with four current living generations--two surviving great-grandparents, three surviving grandparents, his parents, himself, and his sister. His sister is pregnant, however, so there may soon be five living generations.
He speaks exactly no Polish, to his great-grandparents' dismay. In fact, Loren can only speak English and the little bit of French he learned in high school. He is bad at French. He knows some Polish idioms, however, and there are phrases he has been told he is not allowed to repeat in polite company. He does not know what they mean, and no one will tell him. They told him they would tell him when he was older and so far that has been lies.
Loren is gender-fluid and mainly uses "he" out of convenience because that's what people automatically assume he is unless they see his drivers' license first. If you use "she", "they", etc., you will not break his heart, but he will probably slow blink at you if you use "it" because what is he, a table? His family has all been on board with this. He has been told his grandfather high-fived his father when he came out because now there were more men in the family. The older generations are a little wiggly on the concept that he's gender-fluid, not a trans man, but otherwise back him wholly. One of his great-grandmothers bought him his first binder. It was a woman's exercise binder, but it was the thought that counted.
He has a weakness for really tacky menswear accessories, like ties/pocket squares/etc.. He doesn't collect it like he collects ribbon, but he has a couple choice items.
