"Seriously...? What the ********, was she thinking?!" Hushed, furious voices managed to make it's way under the door as December lied awake in his bed. His room was dark, as was the rest of the house, more than likely to pretend that everyone wasn't home, or everyone was atleast asleep.
There were rumors that had made it's way to his brother and sister that someone was coming for them. They had done too much, ruined too many of their allies' lives, betrayed too many people to allow to go free. No one told December anything when it came to that part of their lives. Shut up, stay out of the way, and don't ******** come out of that goddamn room. His siblings told him time and time again. Tonight shouldn't have been any different from those other times, yet this time, December was scared.
May didn't tell him what was going on in the least. She practically threw him into his bedroom, and locked the door. It was October, his older brother who whispered words of comfort to his scared little brother, who finally stood guard out side of it, silent and waiting for those who where coming. The entire house was in Uniform, a part of their lives they surprisingly kept quiet about, yet tonight they wore it proudly. From what he understood, they were Negaverse Uniforms. Some organization like the small family that made up their gang, but huge, world engulfing and with no hesitation to smite those who had ******** up. From the frantic whispers of his sister's gangmembers, someone had definitely ******** up. Not just a small ******** up, but huge enough the rumors came that they were the next target for Starseed Harvest.
December only listened to this from under the door. Each night he was locked in, and each night he listened. Normal gang stuff seemed to become less and less common, replaced by threats, plans to escape, to purify, and how to take as much as they could before they came. But info was received too late, and all that was left to do for the small gang was to hole up and wait for the hunters to come.
And come they did. The first scream echoed through the house, metal upon metal clashed and December only curled up tighter under his bed, pulling the blankets further over his head as if the thin sheets would do anything to protect them once the hunters came for him. He only prayed that whatever wrath they were bringing, it came quickly and painlessly.

The building had been dark when he had approached. He had expected as much, so he found it as no surprise. Nobody’s home! the dark building seemed to scream, but he was having none of it. It was one of the known boltholes, a place his prey had always slipped off to to hide when his hunts had started to drive real fear. He also knew he was not the only hunter in this particular territory, but the others would be dealt with in their own time. He had directed Stibnite and their two wards to remain out of detectable range. Should they run into any real opposition he would call them in as needed, but Stibnite’s weapon would not be advantageous in close combat - and he did not trust their two wards around the house and any of the spoils it might contain. He had tapped Violane for his backup on this mission, with the hope that seeing how he operated might engender some level of rapport. If nothing else, she would hopefully come to see him in the light of someone who was a doer and not just a preacher. “Check for any side exits, and eliminate any hostiles you encounter, civilian or officer - it makes no difference - if they attack, kill them.” He said to Violane as he summoned his spear as he made for the front door. “Lethal force is authorized, and any starseeds you harvest shall count toward your quota. Double if it’s one of the traitors’.” When he’s heard about the mission - he had requested it personally. Normally such tasks fell to the purview of Spec. Ops., but Leucite knew the territory well, and had been a member of Spec. Ops., until Hessonite had dismissed him for insubordination. But, as far as he knew any bad blood had been put aside with his apology to the General-Queen when he had requested her to provide him with her requirements for prospective Spec. Ops. members. He felt the auras inside the house and his anger rose. These ones had betrayed the Negaverse, who had granted them great power. They would not be forgiven. He kicked in the door, making no other sound as the door splintered around the deadbolt with the crunch of shattering wood as it flew open, coming partly off its hinges from the force as it slammed into the wall. His spear flashed in the dark, stabbing into flesh. He twisted the blade, dropping the civilian, who only managed a single scream before a second stab and twist through their throat silenced them. He spun his spear and turned to face his next foe, parrying aside their knife with the blade of his spear before he bellowed. “Surrender and your deaths will be swift!” “Kapoodles” Let me know if I missed something or need to edit.

Violane had been surprised when Leucite had pulled her for the mission. In fact, she had just assumed she'd either be left behind or left as back-up if anything else, but no. Instead he had chosen her to aid him in the actual mission and there was a multitude of mixed feelings about it. Was he trying to prove something to her? Win her over? Was this just some way to assess how her training was going along? A test of some sort? Whatever the case was she couldn't say no. If there was one damn thing she'd learned was that saying no to a direct order was not in her best interest.
So there she stood listening to his orders and she was...pleased to here her orders. Kill any hostiles hm? Well that was going to be interesting.
Eyes lighted upon his weapon and Violane felt a well of frustration bubble up. She didn't even bother summoning her own 'weapon' if that's what anyone could call it. Instead she'd have to rely on her hand to hand combat. Not always the best situation considering that their opponents may have weapons but, it was better than senshi magic.
As Leucite stepped up to the maind oor, Violane dodged around the building in search of any other exits. The sound of crashing as the door up front was broken into soon led to the sound of a door banging open up ahead. The lack of light helped the escapees but Violane didn't take long to catch their path. She didn't pause. The flash of a knife was all she needed.
That was her ticket to their starseeds.
The scuffle was short. A few yells for help were issued from the two men, but Violane shut them up quickly enough.
Eventually she was utilizing the door they had slipped out of to enter the building, two starseeds rattled around in her pocket as she sought out more victims to harvest from. The room she had stepped into was obviously a kitchen if not a well maintained one.
There was no one in sight, but the sound of fighting wasn't far off.

One by one the rebels dropped like flies, their weak knives and shoddy speed no match for the actual power of the Negaverse. Those that managed to survive the initial attack made their way upstairs, heading towards the door that remained locked with December inside. He didn't know why they remained outside his door, whispering panicked words of distress and anxiousness, knowing that they would be the next to die. It was only when May silenced them with an angry tap of her blade on the ground did the fact that there were only four of them left really make sense in his mind. <******** you and your goddamn Queen! Ya'll all a bunch of cocksucking morons, slurping up the scraps from that idiot of a queen, squandering your power for some mission that's just going to fail in the end! What the hell is wrong with using what you got for profit?" Her voice rang out in the otherwise silent house hold. For once in his life, December wished his sister would just shut up and run. Yes, she was cruel and abusive, and yes she was the cause of so much pain and suffering but he didn't want her to die...
He just knew what would happen next, and... Well, he didn't want to go out cowering under his bed. Even before the blades clashed again, and bodies hit the floor, he got up, sitting on his bed hands crossed and waiting for his turn. Surely the door would be kicked down and a blade would hit his throat or chest or... Something. Atleast he could see his attacker's face when he was finally killed.
Torvil Feel free to kill them more and bust the door down!

Those Leucite had not killed outright, he left maimed and broken for Violane to harvest behind him as he made his way up the stairs. He could be beneficent to his charges - and Violane deserved to reap a reward for good service. If nothing else, it might make her realize that all he needed was for her to remain loyal to the Negaverse above all else. Unlike the rebels here, who had finally drawn their final line in the sand. It was a bloody line, distilled from the lives of their followers and hangers on. Vermin to Leucite - less than human - filth. " And, whoever wants to be first must be slave of all," He said in the darkness, as he ascended the stairs, his voice carrying in the empty house as he projected with his best parade voice. " For even the Son-of-Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." His steps were slow and deliberate, each step clicking loudly as the metal shod butt of his spear tapped against each stair as he climbed. When he reached the top of the stairs, he held his Rosary in one hand, the crystals wrapped tightly around his fist, the cross soaking in the darkness with it's purple crystal. He did not pick up the spear into an attack position, but instead, watched the four - his eyes focused on the one who had spoken. "You have betrayed your duty to the Negaverse," His voice was a Winter's chill, ice over a frozen pond. "You have squandered the gift your beneficent Queen has bestowed upon you. A power bestowed by the Living Saint. I would ask if you were willing to repent, to beg for forgiveness..." " For the Lord, our God, is gracious and compassionate. He will not turn his face from you if you return to him." His voice said - warming with some level of compassion. But when none seemed ready to move, he gave a gentle sigh. "Forgive them, Father, and may the Living Saint have mercy upon their souls, for they know not what they do..." The words had barely died on his lips before he vanished from sight. Only to appear directly in front of the one who had challenged him directly with her words. The one who had slandered the queen. His strikes were swift and sure, and she was on the ground - not dead, but broken and maimed, unable to move. Forced to watch as he continued to do the same to the others - though these he killed before her eyes, before he knelt down before her. Placing the cross of the Rosary against her forehead, he met her eyes and spoke slowly and calmly. "Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen." As he watched the guilt take hold of his disabled prey, he pulled away the Rosary and gave the maimed, dying woman a small, paternal smile. "Do you seek forgiveness now?" He asked, but he did not wait for an answer. Instead, he shoved his hand through her chest, gripping her Starseed tight in his fist, squeezing so that the pain made her scream and cry out, made her maimed and broken body thrash on the floor as her blood poured from the wounds his spear had left. "Those who spit in the face of the Living Saint are granted NO FORGIVENESS. None. Nor will I allow your filth to muddy this world, or the next." He spat, before continuing. "I consign you to Oblivion. No Heaven or Hell awaits you. Look upon me and despair." His fist clenched completely shut, the woman giving one last final death shudder as her Starseed shattered in his hand. It was only then that he rose, his hand slipping free of her body as he moved to the door they had been guarding. "Well then..." He said, to nobody in particular - though surely Violane had joined him by now, but he did not look to see if she had. "Let's see what they've been hiding..." His boot did the same level of damage to this door - more actually - as it actually fell completely off it's hinges as it slammed into the wall it was mounted on. Leucite stepped into the room, his spear over his shoulder as he stared and blinked. "What in the seven Hells..." Kapoodles Leucite - Rift Crystal Rosary A Rosary made of rift crystals. When he uses it to pray, it instills guilt on the person he holds it against.

Leucite had made quick work of the room, Violane noted as she stepped into it. Some lay dead while others lay maimed or unconscious. It wasn't missed that Leucite had left those still alive for her to take care of. With no remorse or care, she moved from one to the other. A hand slipped into each chest to retrieve its precious starseed within. Some she toyed with, enjoying their screams of pain as they thrashed on the floor at her feet, others she found boring and opted for their quick harvest.
Voices could be heard upstairs the entire time. Footsteps were loud on the wooden floors above, and once she was sure she had gathered all the available starseeds, all carefully tucked away, she made he way up the stairs.
Taking careful, quiet steps she prepared herself to hop into a scuffle if needed, to take their opponents by surprise, but what she found was a display new to her. Leucite was preaching to the lowlifes that they had come to take care of. Prayers were spoken with such conviction that Violane gave her commanding officer a side-eyed look. This...what was all of this?
Like herself though, the General found his last victim to be worth the play. His hand deep into her chest he watched as she squirmed, thrashed and screamed as his fist clenched tighter and tighter around her soul until....nothing. She stopped all movement and Leucite withdrew his hand without the precious stone. He destroyed it. A Perfectly good starseed.
As if a switch had been flicked off Leucite turned away from his prey and the praying stopped. The Rosary in his hand, given a sidelong look from Violane, but her attention was quickly drawn to the door in question. Using his brute strength, her General made quick work of the door and like him, she stood staring at the contents.
"You have got to be kidding me. A kid?" She stepped into the room, brushing past Leucite as she stepped up to the boy. Purple eyes weighed him before she snorted. "Another starseed for the taking, then." She moved, ready to plunge her hand into his chest.

Leucite reached out and placed a hand onto Violane's shoulder, shaking his head. "If I recall, Violane, I said hostiles, does this child look like a hostile to you?" His fingers squeezed into her shoulder, and his tone brooked no argument. If she wanted to argue, she was more than welcome to try - but unless the kid tried to attack them, he wasn't about to let her kill what appeared to be an innocent locked up in a room - guarded - from what he could tell. Possibly a mule - or something worse - but either way, the kid had not attacked them yet - and unless they made a move to do so - he was not prepared to kill them. "What is your name?" He asked the child, who he noted resembled Violane in some ways - at least physically. He doubted there was any relation though, or Violane might have shown some sign of recognition... Unless she wanted them dead to keep something secret. But he doubted that.

Everything, from the screams, to the footsteps up the stairs, to his sister's final gasping breath could be heard through that door. The door that slowly had blood creeping under it as each of his sister's last minions fell dead to the ground...
And that prayer... The commanding voice that filled the house so clearly that it felt as if he was sitting, facing the man straight on his knees in the hallway with the others. December knew nothing about God and his Grace or any mercy, and any sort of feelings he had towards the thoughts now was fear. If God was the sort of being that left such bloodshed and murder behind him then... He knew that there was no way to get out of this chaos alive.
All of a sudden, he knew he was alone now. No siblings, no gang members, just him and the monster that stood behind that door. Even that crumbled from the Leader's might, and when the door slammed open, December finally allowed himself to let out a terrified sob, before his hands shot up and covered his own mouth. Their appearances only vaguely registered in his mind, uniforms that mimicked his brother and sisters, but right now that didn't matter.
The woman came up to him without hesitation, causing him to flinch before whoever the man was seemed to stop her... Maybe it was that small glimpse of kindness that allowed December to move his hands in favor of rubbing at his eyes then gripping on the front of his shirt. The bodies of his siblings laid lifeless on the ground inside the door, and when he spotted them again, he let out a choked sob.
"December..." He finally whispered, not daring to speak any louder than that in case the woman decided that she wouldn't listen tot he man. "I.. T-the drugs are under the f-floor boards... Are... Are they... Are my siblings... R-really...?"
Of course they were... Their bodies were right outside the door. Even he could see that.. And while he was terrified that this was happening, part of him, deep down, was greatly relieved by it all... This nightmare would soon be over...

Siblings... The word made his heart sink in his chest. For all of the fire and brimstone that had been in him just moments before, it was of little use now. The aggression, the raw, burning rage melted away, and Leucite stepped forward, his coat swirling around him as he reached out and gently patted the boy on the head. "Dead?" He finished for December, turning his gaze to look out the doorway, at the blood that they had walked through and tracked into the room. He supposed there was no helping it. They very well couldn't let the boy go. He knew too much. The things he did for the Negaverse. "Yes," He said, his voice firm, but with a hint of paternal warmth. "But you don't have to join them." "I will give you a choice," He said moving out of Violane's way, letting December get a full view what fate awaited him if he chose poorly. "You can join us, and serve us loyally, fixing your sibling's failures - cleaning up their mistakes... Or, if you simply MUST join them in death, I will allow Violane here to pull out your Starseed and be done with it." He made a show of looking at his wrist, at a watch that was not there in this form, and clicked his tongue. "But I need you to decide quickly, we have a schedule to keep, and I'd like to get to get out of here before dawn." Kolina Violane makes a great stick!

Violane rolled her eyes at Leucite as he restrained her but she didn't press on any further. Instead she huffed and crossed her arms as her General stepped forward and around her to take control of the situation.
the brat in front of her looked eerily as if he was a cousin or maybe evens ibling to herself, but Violane was well aware that there was no one named 'December' in the family. And if all of those other were his siblings....Yep. Nope. Just no way he can be anywhere near related to me. Just an odd occurance. It gave Violane more reason to want to just nab that starseed hidden within his chest though. It was mildly annoying that this kid looked even remotely like her.
And just like that, she saw that Leucite's heartstrings were being tugged. "Oh you have got to be kidding me." She remarked coldly. "What use could he possibly be to us? I mean....just look at him." She gestured to him with an out stretched arm. "He's ready to fall apart with us just standing here. Let me just take his starseed and call it done."

Who could blame December for flinching at the hand that suddenly reached out to touch his head. The same hand that had killed his brother, his sister, now seemed to try to comfort him... None of it made sense, and as the woman approached him, he couldn't help but pull away, hand coming up to instinctively guard his chest from her assault. It didn't come, however, not when the man stopped him and made him an offer...
Immediately he wanted to say no. He saw what being part of the Negaverse did to his siblings, how they ended up betraying them and now how they lied lifeless on the ground... He didn't want a part of it...
And yet there was something that drew him in. While yes, the Negaverse seemed terrifying from where he sat now, threatened with death, his siblings weren't much better... Maybe they were even worse, as they had done things to him, had him do things no sibling should ever force another to do... And quite frankly, he had been so exhausted of being trapped in this house, day in, day out... Maybe the Negaverse could be his new family, people who weren't so cruel and... Maybe he could really belong there...
He knew he wasn't good at many things, he was sure he could at least be better than his siblings, loyalty wise. And if they wanted him, or at least if the man here wanted him, he'd try to do his best.
"I don't want to join them... I-I'll go with you but what happens now...? My home is..." He looked passed the man, back out into the darkness of the home. If his doorway was bloodied, he was sure the rest of the house couldn't be any better.
"And what about school...? My..." December hesitated mentioning his things. His sister had reinforced time and time again that nothing he had was actually his. Not his games, not his writings or drawings or anything. Not even his body was his own at this point so... It made no sense to try to bring it up now. She was dead, and that meant everything that was hers was now this Man's. He was the one who killed her, right? That's how it worked.
"Where do I go now...?"

"Suffer the children to come unto me," Leucite said, looking to Violane as he spoke. "It is the Negaverse's duty to protect the innocent, and if they're willing to do that in place of their traitorous siblings - I'll FIND something for them to do." Even if it was sorting paperwork until the end of days. He would find a place for this child. Oh, he was sure he'd get an earful from Stibnite as well, but he wasn't about to waste potential. Besides, there was plenty of space in the Training Corps barracks to house the kid and allow them to go to classes, or get their GED if they wanted. "Violane, I want you to search the house for anything flammable," Leucite continued. "Oil, gas, alcohol, if it burns, grab it, and bring it back here. It's a tad chilly and I feel a bonfire coming on." With that, the turned his attention to December with a warm paternal smile. "I'm really sorry, but this is going to hurt," He said, before reaching into the boy's chest and gripping his starseed firmly. "It's going to hurt a lot. But, the pain will temper you - make you stronger." Then he let loose the gates on the chaos flowing through him, and began to flood it into the boy's starseed, working to corrupt him and bring him into the Negaverse. Kolina Okay, so maybe we DID start the fire. Kapoodles Aaaaaaaaaaaand welcome to the club!
