Hobbies: Gardening: Remy loves everything that has to do with gardening and taking care of plants. Getting his hands, pants, and clothes dirty is absolutely no bother, and working with a new kind of plant always gets him excited. He's won himself a few awards for his towering sunflowers and outstanding herbs, but getting to sit back and watch nature take it's course is all that matters to him. Plus, what's better than fresh, homegrown vegetables for a salad in summer? Nothing, that's what.
Volunteering: Along with getting himself good a dirty from gardening, Remy's always looking for a way to help his community. It started with one tree planting event with his parents and blossomed into a passion for serving food to the hungry every weekend and cleaning beaches after storms as the years went on. Basically, if there's something that needs doing for the betterment of society, Remy wants everything to do with it.
Writing: Though he wouldn't call himself a master of verse, Remy enjoys writing in his spare time. He focuses primarily on poetry and prose that centers on his experiences of the world and nature, but he has been known to branch out into harder subjects like homelessness and poverty in DC. It's not something he'd consider pursuing for a full-time job, but he thoroughly enjoys it.
Virtues:Responsible: Years of volunteer work have given Remy a healthy understanding of the importance of responsibility. He firmly believes in making sure everything he has to do in a day gets done properly and with as much care as possible. Sure, there are days where he can leave some responsibilities until later in the day, but he'd much rather have all of his boxes checked and phone calls done than let things pile up.
Confident: Wherever Remy goes, he makes sure to hold his head up high and eyes on the prize. There's nothing he can't accomplish without a solid plan and a passionate work-ethic. Even when things seem to be getting out of hand, he knows that there's always a solution or a compromise to be found. All you need to do is breathe and look at the situation from another perspective. There's always another way and nothing is ever, truly, an unfixable catastrophe.
Compassionate: It's no secret to anyone that Remy has a big heart. He gives so much of his money, time, and love to others that some people wonder when he finds the time to take care of himself! In all seriousness, though, Remy loves to make someone else's life a little easier or bring comfort when it's needed. Even if you just need a reason to smile or a quick conversation, nothing ever "interrupts" his day. He's more than happy to help.
Flaws: Jealous: Remy doesn't like anyone who steals his thunder or takes the attention he thinks he deserves. Yeah, he helps people because he genuinely enjoys it, but if someone else gets credit when he doesn't feel it's due? Utter blasphemy. Did someone beat him in a contest? Excuse me, no, he worked far too hard not to get anything but first place. Anything less is just cause for him to be stewing and glaring at you from the corner of his eye.
Overbearing: Sometimes people really don't want to be helped and Remy thinks that those people are absolute idiots.
Of course you need his help, he sees you struggling with whatever you're doing over there, stop refusing and just
let him do it for you. He's gotten into a number of fights with particularly "stubborn" people and, honestly, he doesn't plan on stopping. Some people don't know what's best for them and that's exactly why he's there in the first place.
Spiteful: Being kind feels good, but the sweetest feeling comes from revenge. Aside from causing bodily harm or psychological distress, there's almost nothing Remy won't do to get back at someone. While he knows his hands are best made for charity, he wouldn't mind using them to sabotage your project or slash your tires. Hell, the next time you ask him for gardening advice, he'll gladly give you all the wrong instructions and laugh as you watch everything you've worked so hard to grow rot and turn to dust.
