This forum is for all things related to combat. You can even hold actual fights in this topic, but preferably those are held in the topic of origination. Without further ado, we will explain the basics of combat. If you wish to see some advanced rules and details please refer to the Ćombąt ℞ules There are 3 ways of setting up a fight in this guild, and this link goes into extreme detail on each.
The first way is through our traditional system of levels based on your post count. When someone throws a punch, or attempts to strike someone in such a way to cause damage to their person this is considered the first post of any fight. The person being attacked, if they choose to accept the fight, can create a topic in this forum. This topic is for the purpose of discussing the fight that is to be had any the fight system that will be used. The first thing the defender ought to post is their character's post count upon being attacked. They are not allowed to post dump (add a bunch of posts to that character). They must keep the post count that they had listed on their post layout/apparatus when they were attacked.
The attacker will then post their post count upon attacking the other person (yes, this includes the post that the attack was made).
Unlike a grimm fight, you don't automatically win if you have higher posts than the other person. The big levels are the things that matter. If you are 26 or more posts above your opponent, you automatically win. However, we understand that for PvP a lot of people do not want predetermined combat, which is why we have a few other options.
The second way is by having a conversation with the person controlling the character and deciding what system and rules will be in place. We call this the negotiation method. This means, that the higher level person can choose to let the lower level person win if they so desire. But all things agreed upon must be unanimous. Discuss what you want to happen and agree to it within the combat topic so that it can be publicly seen. We highly encourage that you quote the terms and conditions agreed upon to prevent the other person from tampering with it.
If a fight is predetermined, you must still role play the fight out. These fights can be as long or as short as you decide. Just try and make it realistic. You will be shocked at how fun a predetermined fight can be once you get used to the system. I would argue they are generally more fun than non-predetermined fights due to advance planning and knowledge of what is to come.
The third and final way to fight is to have it come down to a public vote. We call this the duelist system, and its only allowed for 1v1 fights. After the fight has ended, the guild, and public if we decided to open it to them, get to read your combat posts and cast votes. This is the style most people want as it comes down to style and strategy. The highest vote after two weeks, or some other agreed upon time-frame, wins.
Again, each of these combat methods are spelled out in extreme detail the link above. Please check it out! If you find contradictions, the combat rules section will win out so take this portion as a brief summary only.
