Harmotome rifled through the snow in the park, cursing under her breath as she tried looking for the star seed she had dropped. She had to hand it to those punks...that sneak surprise attack at the end with some others hiding in ambush...she hadn't thought them capable of it. It just went to show that you couldn't always judge trash. Just most of the time.

Anyways, she had the last guy's star seed in her hand, but then when the reinforcements showed up, they had knocked it away from her.

It wasn't a really glamorous scene for the lieutenant. Hopefully no higher ups would roll on through. Just a bunch of bodies lying in the small snowy field, and Harmotome, there crawling through the snow trying to find a star seed.

This was really hard to find in the snow. She was going to be pissed if she had to leave here without it! Harmotome growled again as another swipe turned up nothing but snow, but suddenly, a power signature sprung up incredibly close to her incredibly quickly. What the---

Next thing the lieutenant knew, she was skipping across the small snow field like a rock, and right into a nearby tree. She landed in a crumpled heap at the bottom, and just to add insult to injury, the snow in the tree also fell and clumped on her. With another growl she burst out of the small snow pile, and narrowed her gaze on the signature that had struck her.

Recognition also struck her, and she grinned. "Ah! It is little toy solider! Though, I suppose you are..." She hummed thoughtfully. "Medium toy solider now!" She leapt out of the snow pile and landed in the field, where she immediately started to charge for him, hands outstretched.

"You ready to join the right side, yet?"

"Vhat the---" Her body slammed against the dumpster, after he only tapped her with a piece of paper. This was bull s**t. It felt like there were thick bands holding her in place that she couldn't see or do anything about, and her hands were effectively pinned.

"Your magic vill only last so long, toy soilder!" She snarled. "And you vill be s**t in the---s**t---" She couldn't remember the proper expression, damn English language had so many idioms and expressions she couldn't keep track of. "I vill get you vhen your magic runs out." Still, she tried to uselessly push herself off of the dumpster.

Harmotome grunted when he punched her in the gut. "No." She wheezed. "You can only do this until your magic runs out, you p***y." Since he had to get close to punch her, and her legs felt unhindered, she lashed out to kick him. Unfortunately for the squire, it'd take more than that to shush her.

"The clock is ticking, and vhen it is up I am coming for you."

Crunch.

Aside from suddenly reeling from that direct hit, she felt something hot start to gush down her face and onto her chest. Mother ********. Her nose was bleeding. It hurt like a b***h, but she didn't think it was broken. Who as to say another strike might not achieve that though. She could feel the magic start to weaken as well, and quickly she thought about her options. Stay...try to fight him, but she was severely at a disadvantage now. Maybe if she hadn't been strung up and had a few pot shots taken at her, she might have had a better chance.

As much as the thought of running away left an acidic taste in her mouth, she didn't really have a choice. She'd just have to come back for him when she attained the next rank.

The pain and cold snapped her to enough clarity though her head was still swimming, and when she dropped onto the ground, Harmotome immediately shot up into the air and back over the dumpster. "I vill get you next time!" She snarled, landing, and then taking off as fast as she could. She found her way to a more populated area, slipped into the crowd and released her glamour. She pulled up her hood to cover her face and then made it back to the safety of home, seething about the squire the entire way.
