The message was simple, sent directly to his lovely new tablet. Carnelian thought the crystals were an interesting way to communicate over distances without using a cellphone system, but tablets had more glamour to them. The corrupted senshi was out on patrol, collecting energy as necessary for his weekly quota when the message came in. He certainly didn't mind the break, and took the time to find a warm lounging spot near a 24-hour coffee house's main entrance. A nook above the door, hidden by trees and the elaborate overhang, Carnelian pulled his tablet from subspace to see who was hailing him.
Someone named Stellarite, which was a lovely name now that Carnelian thought about it, was requesting his presence in Negaspace. She sought to get to know the corrupted senshi among their ranks, she explained, which was intriguing in and of itself. Most of the time, Negaverse agents wanted nothing to do with corrupted senshi, calling them traitors at worst, or creepy at best. Most simply avoided senshi. Finding an officer that took an interest in senshi was incredibly unusual.
It was warmer down there, anyway. Carnelian certainly didn't mind a summons to somewhere warmer, and if someone were to reprimand him for leaving patrol early, well... they could talk to Stellarite.
Teleportation was quick and easy, the corrupted senshi arriving in the main area of Negaspace to dust himself off and warm up. Brushing his hair aside, the redhead now had to find the one named Stellarite.

Stellerite was growing bored which was never a good thing and with the difficulties she was having completing the task as set to her by Miss Alkaid, she needed a distraction. The journal was carried with her, always, with a pen tucked inside so that she could make notes on persons of interest whenever she came upon tidbits of information.
So far her resources proved to be minimal and she wasn't getting half of what she had hoped from anyone.
It was agitating for the woman who liked to think that she was good at her job. That meant that she needed to blow off a little bit of steam and anything writing related was ignored because it just reminded her of the journal that was almost embarrassingly bare.
And it'd been a while since she'd had any practical work. Her preference was to not engage in combat if able, but it was a price of her job and she strove to be able to at least handle herself in circumstances where talking her way out of something didn't apply.
Which was exactly why she had reached out to those she thought willing for a bit of training. It didn't take her very long to locate the redheaded corrupt and she approached him with a practiced smile.
"Excuse me, are you Carnelian?"

Nuxaz Sorry about the wait! We're back in town. n_n Having given up all too early trying to find the one named Stellarite, Carnelian was busy lounging on one of the rocky outcroppings. One leg over the knee of the other, the redhead was somewhat surprised when a lovely blonde approached. A Captain, just like the description. She was cute and knew how to dress, which impressed him immediately. "Yes, it is~ You must be Stellarite? I have to say, I love your outfit. It's not often an agent asks for a senshi specifically. To what do I owe the pleasure~?" Stepping down from his perch, heels clicking, Carnelian gave Stellarite a bow, his coat flowing behind him. The redhead wasn't about to complain about the disdain most agents held for the senshi in their midst - if Stellarite was one of those, complaining about his position in the organization would not endear him to the blonde. Carnelian had to remember that.

The captain couldn't decide if she was bothered by his lounging or not. Ultimately, she opted to ignore it choosing to focus on the things he was saying and the compliments he was paying.
"I am." Her smile was polite and her general appearance was demure. "Ah, I tend to deal with senshi in particular." It was something that had come with the territory of being the only handpicked subordinate of the infamous Ascendant-General.
Though, with her attempts at coaxing Kari into darkness failing (thanks, Epi) she stood alongside more agents and the magically-inclined. A pity, but something she would simply have to rectify.
"I want to thank you for meeting me. My list of contacts is smaller than I would like," she sighed, picking at the hem of her glove. "Sometimes I'm left uncertain about whom I should contact."

I tend to deal with senshi in particular. The statement raised his eyebrows, but in a positive way. Not many agents seemed to like the presence of senshi in their ranks, and even fewer associated with them purposefully. The fact that Stellarite sought him out personally was a point of pride to the redhead. Without an officeror a team to call his own (though Tantalite was quite endearing), Carnelian was a bit of a free agent. "It's my pleasure, truly. Is there something I can assist with? Or do you like the stroke the egos of all the senshi you meet with? Not that I mind." The redhead playfully winked at the Captain, trying to asses just how unofficial he could be before the blonde's tolerance was used up. "If you're looking for a hairstylist, you've found one. You wouldn't believe some of the messes new senshi get themselves into when they transform for the first time. Thank goodness the General-Sovereigns allowed me to transport some of our old salon chairs and sinks down here. Otherwise, the senshi ranks would be even more of a mess."

Stellerite knew that her position was a unique one, she was the sole recruit of Ascendant-General Alkaid and the two of them worked rather close, even if the inhuman woman left the blonde to her own devices frequently. Epidote had been corrupted at her request, not because Alkaid had need for him and everyone she'd brought in after had been done alone, to be under her instead of the general she served.
Alkaid had a fondness for corrupts and it transferred over to Stella.
"I'm looking for a bit of assistance brushing up on my combat skills. It's not my forte, but I can only work with the same group of people before I risk falling into predictable patterns." Besides, she needs more practice against senshi that weren't hers if she were to equip them for duty the way she was expected to.
"Ah, I pick my compliments carefully Carnelian." Each interaction was tailored towards the recipient. "Though, I'm certain you could assist me with my hair sometime. I am in need of a good stylist." Her lips twisted up with a light smile.

Nuxaz Sorry in return! I've been sick. @_@ Hand to his chest, Carnelian seemed overly pleased by the blonde Captain. She was formal, had lovely manners and a place in her heart to treat corrupted senshi as people, rather than simple subordinates. Stellarite's request for combat training was met with raised eyebrows, as Carnelian himself was more of a lover than a fighter. "I'll do what I can, Captain, but I'm afraid there are far more violent redheads in the Negaverse than myself. General Obsidian and I may look similar, but he's got a taste for blood on the battlefield that I simply don't have." Clicking his tongue, the corrupted senshi seemed to think to himself for a moment in consideration before shrugging. "As long as my face doesn't become mangled, I'm sure I could learn a thing or three from you, Captain. Besides, the highers-up have been... insisting that I increase my skills in battle as well. No matter how much I tell them that I'd rather flirt with the enemy than fight, they don't listen..." With a chuckle to himself, Carnelian brushed his coat of dust. "You catch more flies with honey than vinegar, right? Just tell me what you'd like me to do, Captain."

Stellerite had heard, through grapevines, of the supposed General Obsidian before but her own exposure to him had been zero. As such, she had no comparison to make, appearance wise. "I've yet to meet the general, so I'll have to take your word for it."
Gloves were adjusted as he talked, then accepted her offer. It resulted in a polite smile as she dusted her pants. "I would prefer to work with a senshi, I cannot assist my own if I'm not more familiar with how magic works."
As she was more of a spy than a soldier, her battle exposure was minimal at best. Those things were better left in her brother's hands, if either of them had anything to say for it.
"It never hurts to have a little experience in your back pocket, for those occasions where sweet talking doesn't work." She held her hands out and the katars were summoned into them, gloved fingers wrapping around the handles.
"No targeting the face but perhaps, we can treat each others as hostiles for the spar?"

Nuxaz How do you feel about doing a couple blows back and forth and then wrapping it? Up to you, especially since both our peeps are 3rd stage now. XD "As long as you don't target my face, then I'd be up for practicing. I'm more of a lover, not a fighter, but I suppose having the experience would prevent me from being on the receiving end of White Moon aggression... Besides, maybe the higher-ups would leave me be about all this." Stellarite was attractive. She had charm. No doubt she knew exactly what she was doing. "A spar is fine, Captain." With a deep sigh, Carnelian knew he had to at least look like he was putting forth some effort. One never knew who or who wasn't keeping an eye on them. The redhead started with a trot and gradually sped up to a healthy run straight at Stellarite, only to disappear at the last moment and teleport behind her. Those katars looked sharp, and Carnelian would rather have one for himself. The corrupt attempted to sweep Stella's legs from beneath her to snatch up one of her weapons.

Stellerite understood where Carnelian was coming from as she herself was more of a 'lover' than a fighter. If she could talk her way out of it, it was her preference but not everyone she recruited or lured into the darkness with her was not capable of what she was.
That meant that she needed to be experienced enough in the art of defending herself.
So while it wasn't something she enjoyed, she was practical enough to know that she couldn't always rely on someone else to be the blonde. Spies were, after all, people who needed to be well versed in a multitude of things to ensure they were doing their jobs correctly.
"I appreciate your willingness and cooperation, Carnelian." She meant it sincerely. It was nice to have someone she could work with who was respectful.
They'd spar and then perhaps she'd get to know him a little better, because it never hurt to have more allies.
