Jamie hummed as he laid on his stomach hand feeding his crystal torti. Classes were coming and going and while he had maybe made a friend or two, he was still nervous and shy when dealing with people. Specially large crowds of people! But taking care of his famailiar’s was fun. His Aetherjelly was really easy to care for and was small for one! He learned they could get huge.

His torti was small too but she was young and growing still, just like him. Eventually she would get really big! She had a pile of dark sand to burrow in and was currently eating a treat of strawberries.

Jamie liked animals and learning more about them. They had personalities and were usually just so fascinating! She always seemed to be listening to him like she understood everything. Maybe that was something he could do when he grew up. Travel about and take film and picture of animals and learn what he could about them. How they lived and what they ate and where they liked to sleep.

He could do that, take care of familiar and other animals and just so much research and spending time in nature. He did like nature a lot. Specially in the cooling depths of cave where sound echo. Perhaps that could be what he did when he grew up. Work with animals. Maybe with rare ones like his torti. But first she had to grow! Big and strong and he probably should put her back in her sandbox.

Jamie scooped up the torti and sent her down into the sand to keep warm. “What do you think? Do you think I would be a zoo keeper maybe? Or maybe a researcher?” He questioned and gently pet the shell.
