Tonight was no different as he made the ever frightening trek back home from the night shift. How he wished to have the courage to call home, to ask to be picked up and driven back to that warm sanctuary that was his bed without fear of being attacked, but it was late, far too late to call anyone. And it wasn't as if he had many people to call in the first place. Instead, he found peace in powering up, becoming Page Susquehanna of Jupiter and knowing that at least in this form he had some way to defend himself.
All in all, the walk was peaceful, and he forced himself to focus on the wonderful things that the past year rather than dwell on the distressing thoughts that tried to come up every now and then. For the most part, he was sucessful, almost smiling to himself while he enjoy the night and pushed back the fog with each step he took.
He felt it first, the aura of two individuals who were some what far from him. One was stronger than the other, stronger than him, that he could tell, so maybe he should just ignore it. No... No, he knew he couldn't just ignore it. What if someone needed him, even as powerless as he truly was? What could an oar do against the might of the weapons some of the Negaverse had? That thought didn't leave him as he ran towards them, only stopping when he came into sight of them.
Whatever battle had taken place was over, and all that remained was a purple clad Squire with his arms about a Negaverser's neck.
His body moved before his mind could register it, slamming himself as hard as he could into the side of the other knight, hoping that it was just enough to let the Negaverser drop to the ground and... And oh Gods, he wasn't breathing, was he...? Susquehanna knew just how that worked, and the time it took for him to reach the Squire and his target, far more than enough time had passed for the man that now laid lifeless on the ground to die.
Fourteen seconds to pass out, Three minutes to die. What little breath the page had left caught in his throat as he trembled, scrambling over to the Negaverser, hands shaking as his mind tried so hard to wrap around what just happened.
"You... H-he... Why...?" Susquehanna's words were little more than a whisper as tears already started to form. He had caused this, hadn't he? His hesitation, his reluctance had led to this... What more could he even say? What could he even do except to turn his miserable gaze over to the Squire not too far away, eyes pleading for answers. "W-why...?"
