Christmas was coming up, all too fast, the time between Halloween and Christmas had slipped through his fingers it seemed. With school, exams, work and more time just ran right through his fingers and now Seung was stuck trying to order gifts online, since he’d managed to do some actual shopping already but it wasn’t enough.
Seated, bundled in a blanket, on the living room floor with the tv going Seung had his laptop open as he went over various Korean sites in an effort to order things for family members. He had a notebook open with family members names written down and next to them ideas. If he’d gotten them something it was written in green, so he knew the difference between ideas and actual purchased gifts, since he was planning to get more than one thing for each member of his family.
Even his parents were on the list, as much as he didn’t want to get them anything, though he wasn’t sure what to get them - they weren’t close any more. But that didn’t mean he could avoid getting them something, but what?
Also out in front of him was paperwork dealing with the adoption agency they were working with. There always seemed to be something with them that he was working on, whether it was reading or filling out things - it was always something. But they were close - so close.
Taking a moment to take a break, he could finish the shopping in a few moments, he went to pull up a tab and log into his twitter account. He really wanted to check it out and see what was going on online, there was always something it seemed. Glancing about the room, as he clicked the login button, Seung fought back a yawn. It was early morning and for some reason he’d found himself up and unable to get back to sleep, everyone else was thankfully still asleep.
What Seung wasn’t expecting was the tweets he saw online when he turned back to his laptop. Gaping, dark eyes going wide, he was quick to click on things and open up various tabs. Reading over information and plugging in his headset in order to listen to some news clips. It was startling and it didn’t take long before he was pulling the buds out of his ears with shaking fingers as he stood up slowly. His twitter still open with the tweets up.
It wasn’t an uncommon thing in Korea...far from it in fact, maybe it was even accepted as something which happened, but to see it happening to someone like that? Moving away from his laptop as if distancing himself would somehow result in him forgetting what he’d spent nearly half an hour reading and watching, listening to, but it wouldn’t. It had happened and wanted to text his cousins and wake them, but that would be rude, he refrained from doing so. He refrained from texting family back in Korea, like his little sister, he had no doubt she knew what had happened but had decided not to wake those of her family who lived here in Destiny City.
Fingers combed through his dark hair, the silver color having faded out since he’d had it colored months back. The dark locks sifted through his fingers before falling back into place, he’d already decided a while back that he would leave it black for a while. If it wasn’t for the lack of ear buds, and being away from his laptop, he might have missed the sounds which came through the living room windows from the outside. It was like people were...singing? But it really wasn’t possible, especially at this hour. No one would go out and sing at this time in the morning, especially given how cold it surely was. Yet he heard it...singing a song he didn’t know...and he wanted to go look but he wasn’t so trusting and he also just felt...drained - thank you twitter.

While Seung had been on the floor, Terry had been curled up under a blanket on the couch with Ace cuddled under it with him. He had been watching the tv, muted with subtitles so there wouldn’t be sound disturbing anyone, but at some point while his husband was ordering things, the brunette had dozed off and probably would have stayed asleep until morning or Seung woke him up to actually head to bed but little slivers of the other man’s emotions disrupted his dreams enough that he was pulled more towards wakefulness. The mix of emotions had him blearily opening one eye to check on Seung while he gave a yawn. “S’kay?” He slurred out then ran a hand through his hair to push the sleep messed strands back. It was only after he had asked that when he started to register the sounds of singing. One squinted look to the tv made it clear that it was still muted and no one was supposed to be singing in the scene, then he looked back to Seung.

Hearing the sleepy voice of his husband Seung turned and shook his head. “Sorry for waking you.” It was hard though to refrain from feeling things, to mute his feelings. He could hold back from showing feelings but how to turn them off internally? The two of them felt each others emotions so it made things like this possible, though thankfully not that common.
“Singing….” Though he was sure he had a feeling what had really woken his partner, and hoped he wouldn’t look at his laptop. Terry had, over time, picked up reading Korean fairly well - it wasn’t hard to learn really. So he focused on the issue presented to them right here and now - the singing.
“Don’t know the song but several voices…” And it was from outside. Socked feet slowly, maybe feeling a bit bolder with someone else awake, brought Seung to the front windows so he could peep outside. “No one outside…” But he still heard it and it had to be outside.

"S'okay, can't 'elp it sometimes." He yawned again about half way through as he answered. He knew very well that when they had the necklaces on it was very hard to not feel things strongly, though both were rather reluctant to take them off for just any reason. He sat up a bit, careful not to disturb the sleeping Ace, to look at Seung better as the other mane moved over towards the window to look out. "Singing? At this hour?" He asked, waking up a bit more out of curiosity and disbelief. Just who in their right mind would go singing on a cold night when it was, a quick check to a clock nearby got his answer, three in the morning?
"No one is outside?" Terry repeated blinking in surprise over at his husband. He carefully pulled himself out of the blankets and left Ace buried in them, as it was obvious the cat didn't want to move or wake, and padded over to stand by the shorter man. Even though the house was warmed by the heater, when he looked out the window to see that Seung was right and their were no people, he felt a shiver go down his spine. "Maybe someone left a speaker on?" He offered, though he sort of doubted it.

"Outside speaker...didn't hear one when we went to bed.." He whispered, not wanting to speak too loudly. He could still hear the singing, clear as ever, and it was chilling. No one was outside and no source for the noise in sight. "Who would put speaker on this late...?" He whispered as he leaned into his husbands side. Slowly he moved some more and was wrapping Terry's arms about himself as he pressed his back to the others chest.
"Maybe head upstairs to bed..." Further away from this...to a safer place - their room. It wasn't so close to the front door and the noise. He didn't like who creepy this felt, and it was really creepy. Remembering what he'd seen online, what he'd read, he turned his dark eyes back to his laptop. He could feel a moisture gathering in his eyes for a moment but fought it off, this was more important right now. He could read more later...and look into it and mourn as he knew he would.
Biting down on his bottom lip, nodding to himself, he had to focus more on this issue. "Going back to sleep would be good." He wanted to sleep more right now..to hide from his twitter feed and the singing going on outside.

"I didn't hear one either, could be set on a timer that is messed up though?" Terry said, glancing around the neighborhood, or rather what he could see of it from this window. Still no singers showed up and he was rather doubting the eerie singing was actually coming from a speaker. Not with it being so crystal clear and close like there were singers just outside the window. Not when at this volume there would be other people waking up and checking on who was being rude at this time of the night.
Terry cuddled Seung close and pressed a kiss to his shoulder, giving one more look outside. "I think that is a good idea." He was about to say more when he caught the sadness flaring up from Seung again and he tightened his hold on his husband. "Come on, we can talk more upstairs if er need to, or just go to bed." He started to gently pull Seung back over to the couch so they could turn off the electronics and head up, all the while trying to project soothing emotions through the bond.

"Haven't heard it till now...no other day or night." If someone had it on a timer then why just tonight? Or why just set it up? It didn't make to just purchase such a thing and suddenly set it up, even if it was acting up and off on it's timing, it was a sudden and odd thing and you'd think someone getting such a thing would ask or let their neighbors know about such a thing.
"Mmm, bed would be good..." They could talk more once they got some more sleep. For now he did flip his laptops screen in Terry's direction so he could catch the headline and get an idea on why Seung was feeling as he was, he knew he was projecting. There was no way to hide such a strong emotion as what he felt about the headline on his twitter feed. It was easy for them to miss small emotions from each other but the bigger things, what they felt more strongly, those things they couldn't block and he wasn't keen on cutting off the bond he and Terry had, even if sometimes it might share things you didn't want the other to feel or know you were feeling.
"I'll get Ace." Moving to pick up the cat, blankets and all, He let them lay atop his now closed laptop. "Come on. Bet Yeong is up in our room." Likely on their bed sleeping peacefully. He'd given up trying to get Yeong off their bed he was just glad the dog seemed to know when he shouldn't be on their bed and when he needed to sleep elsewhere - smart dog.
