One day, in the very early morning hours, a strange, bluish fog rolls in. It floats low to the ground and is incredibly dense and incredibly cold. Anyone who inhales even a single breath from this fog will be met with a sudden, harsh sensation of sadness. It’s the worst part of the holidays—the Holiday Blues. The fog slowly spreads through the town and is gone by mid afternoon, but the sensation of sadness, loneliness, and nostalgia may linger for longer than that. Scientists are explaining the bluish tint as just being a natural phenomenon, but in Destiny City, ‘natural’ isn’t really something anyone should expect. Today would have been a good day to stay inside.
Michiko woke up early and she looked out her window to a very strange sight, there was a blue fog rolling through her area she frowned she knew it would cause nothing but trouble. She sighed when she saw her first sign that she was right a jogger was outside in the blue fog and they breathed in the fog and promptly sad down on the sidewalk and started to cry. She thought that was weird but it wasn't till the dog walker came by and the whole group dogs and the walker sat down in a depressed heap did she start going around her house making sure none of the blue fog got into the house.
Michiko had enough sadness this season she didn't want anymore. She started taping doorways and windows to make sure the blue fog didn't get in. She didn't need any magical help to have the holiday blues she already had them all by herself and didn't want a magic addition. Once she was done she sighed and hid in the bathroom that didn't have any windows she shut the door and put a towel under the door to make sure she was safe from the blue fog.
She felt a little silly panicking over another magical effect on the city, you would think she would be used to it by now. Nope, this one was just not happening for her in the afternoon, she finally peeked out of the bathroom door and out to the sidewalk. Everything looked like it was back to normal. She sighed out finally over she was glad though she wondered what other strange magic would be floating around this winter season. There always seemed to be something.
She heard there was a fruitcake thing, that made people so happy till they crashed back down, and that gem snow had been so pretty. At least that was one thing this season that had not cause some weird effect on her. The Santa line thing didn't seem to have anything to do with magic just a mistake in identity. Shopping had seemed pretty normal she was glad for that unless her over shopping was a magic effect? Who could tell in Destiny City. It was just life, turn into a knight or a senshi or become a youma and try to figure out a way to live your life or get dusted by a knight or a senshi.
She sighed that was a sad thought and she waved it away at least it looked like the sun was out and that cleared the blue fog away. She shook her head she knew she had to live her life even if it was sometimes crazy and scary. Michi needed another hot cocoa it had been a weird stressful winter. Though it did have nice friends it there like Bluebell, Jason, Cynthia, and new friends she had met along the way. Not to mention the pendant that Derrick had luckily spotted for her so it wasn't lost. She wrapped a scarf around her mouth just in case and then headed out.
