Quote:
On the fourth night of the aurora, it changes from dancing lights to a strange, swirling maelstrom. A cold wind picks up, swirling wildly. Near midnight, the wind is strong enough to topple lighter bushes and knock branches from trees. No major damage has been done, but it is still a storm no one wants to be out in. Suddenly, the colors in the sky seem to explode. A distant echo, like thunder, rolls through the town. The aurora is gone, and so is its strange spell. The only thing that lingers are the small, colorful beads that fall from the sky like hail. They sparkle in all colors of the aurora and are never any larger than a marble. Most of them seem safe, but if you hold too many at one time you are met with the same sleepless affliction the town was suffering under the aurora.

Today marked the fourth day of strange, dancing lights in the sky. Her house was eerily quiet the last that day. Her family was too exhausted to even fight, but they all spent the day away from each other regardless. Was this ever going to end? She knew countless Senshi and Knights were out and about, trying to look for some sort of solution. But, nothing had changed since that first night. They were all still completely clueless.

She considered staying home that night, would anything really change if she went out right now? If she did confront some sort of enemy, what condition was she in to fight? Sitting at home and doing nothing wasn't an option. Once evening set it a storm came with it. If this wasn't the beginning of some sort of attack, she didn't know what else it could be.

Despite having no idea where the attack might take place, she went outside in it anyway. She might not be all that strong, but she was sure she could be helpful in a fight if it came to that.

Tsih found a building to perch on, something with a sturdy edge that could help her keep her balance against the winds that whipped around them. She scanned the city around her, looking for any sign of conflict taking place nearby. Something had to be happening somewhere, not just in the sky.

Hyperborea could only wonder about the state of the city right now. She imagined alot of people were being affected by the unexplained aurora. She had even had to retreat to her wonder to recover her energy, and get some much needed sleep. When she had returned it seemed the Aurora had changed. No longer was it seemly innocent dancing lights in the sky it had become a swirling maelstrom.

Hyperborea sensed a familiar aura in the chaos. She spotted Tsih perched on a rooftop. She hopped up to the roof. The girl didn't look too good, like she was on her last leg.

Walking over to the senshi she put her hand gently on the over's shoulder channeling some of her pure energy into the girl, it was no substitute for sleep but it would help. "Things seem to be really picking up. Something has to happen at this point." She said looking up at the maelstrom.

Tsih let out a sigh of relief when Hyperborea joined her on the rooftop. She continued to be amazed by the other's abilities, and quite thankful for them at that. While she was still far from one hundred percent, she felt significantly better as energy was exchanged between them. The thought of going off world hadn't even occurred to her, though she had no idea if her world was even safe enough for a longer trip.

"Thank you." She took in a deep breath and stood up straight, rather than leaning like she had been before. She turned her attention to the storm in the sky, nodding along as Hype spoke. "I can't sense anything abnormal though. As far as I can tell it's just a bad storm..." She bit at one of her nails, a nervous habit she had somehow picked up over the last few days. Lack of sleep tended to affect everyone differently.

"I just don't know what or where at this point." And that was what sucked about it. Just as Tsih was about to suggest they patrol around, they sky above them seemed to explode. A sound like thunder seemed to ripple through the air. It was so loud she found herself covering her ears. She didn't take her eyes off the sky though, because even though the lights were gone it began to hail.

Tsih gestured for Hyperborea to follow he as she jumped down to take cover under the fire escape on the side of the building. She didn't exactly like the idea of getting pelted by hail, especially the weirdly colored hail that was falling from the sky now. "That was...unexpected." Not that she had known what to expect to begin with.

"Of course" Hyperborea said with a friendly smile. The transcended knight was not stingy with her energy.

"I just don't understand. Its too bizarre to be natural but if its magical we should be feeling something anything." Although she supposed there were other anomalies like Caedus who used magic clearly but didn't seem to have an aura. But still even then she had at least some answers, he was an alien. These weird happenings seemed to appear out of no where.

The the sky exploded. Hyperborea could safely say even with the weird whether that was perhaps the last thing she expected. Multicolored hail began to rain from the sky. The knight of the Cosmos followed the senshi as she jumped down from the roof. Hyperborea might be strong but she wasn't the girl of steel and the hail really hurt.

"You can say that again." She looked down at some of the hail. It was colorful beads that sparkled in all colors of the aurora, no bigger than a marble. She grabbed a handful of them.

"So any guesses what these are?" She jokingly asked the other girl.

It seemed like they would really never know what had caused the light and what had caused them to suddenly vanish like that. Tsih hoped it was a good thing that it was just leaving the way it was. Though, that could mean that whatever or whoever was causing it had gotten when they wanted from it. The big thing was, hopefully this meant they could all catch up on their sleep now.

When Hyperborea held up some pieces for her to examine, she picked up one out of the bunch. It was just as colorful as the light had been in the sky, but she still had no idea what they could be. "Do you think they'll melt?" It was great that they weren't up in the sky anymore, but what if they caused the same issue just in a different way? The thought of it ending up in her drinking water wasn't a very pleasant one. It wasn't like they could get rid of every piece all on their own though either.

Her fatigue was still wearing on her a bit, but she felt like, for the first time in a while, she could actually get some decent rest. "Probably not a good idea to touch them though. As...pretty as they are. They've got to be dangerous if it came from this storm."

Hyperborea looked the colorful thing over. If it wasn't for its strange and possibly malicious origins it would have been really pretty. "Possibly although it doesn't feel like ice. It's hard to tell with objects of magical origin."

Hyperborea nodded at the other girl. "Perhaps but I want to study these. I'm not as good with magical science as a mercury knight but maybe I can learn something about these phenomena that keep happening every year." She wished Babylon or Mimisbrunnr or Mistral were here, they would probably be better at figuring this out.

She gathered up a bunch. "I'm gonna take these to Hyperborea just in case you're right and it does still have a lingering effect on those around it"

Since they didn't seem to have an immediate effect on Hype, Tsih delicately picked up one of the color beads. They were falling more slowly from the sky now, hopefully it would let up soon. It certainly wasn't any ordinary hail, it wasn't cold and was very smooth. Like each piece had fractured perfectly and fallen from the sky. It was puzzling, but there wasn't any way for her to discover what they were. She was just some High School student.

"Well, if you do find anything out, let me know." Could it possibly be something natural? Other then the fact people weren't sleeping, she couldn't find any direct cause to point a finger at chaos. She knew Hype study them if course, but would anyone else? Some scientist out there probably. That or everyone was about to pass out now and forget all about it.

"Well, you do that. I think I'm ready to head home and catch up on some sleep. Some desperately needed sleep." They hail had mostly stopped by now. The colorful lights in the sky were no more, but the beads on the ground reflected what they had once been. Maybe she would buy some bottled water for the house though. He knew what sort of effects these things would have now that they were on the ground. "Don't spend too much time away. I'm sure you could afford to get some sleep as well."

"That sounds like a good idea." Hyperborea said with a chuckle. "You go get some rest I'll let know if there are any new developments." She said patting the senshi on the shoulder.

"And don't worry I know my limits." It was necessarily a lie the young knight of cosmos did know her limits she just often choose to ignore them.

After waving goodbye to Tsih, Hyperborea decided to head for home so that she could get a jar to put these strange marbles in. She summoned Cerynitis to her side and climbed on the deer's back urging forward towards home.
