People lucky enough to even fall asleep only get to rest for a few moments before they are violently jostled awake by the sensation of falling through a rainbow of colors. Some worse off may suffer from the sensation of drowning beneath strange, rainbow colored water. People are passing out from fatigue and some people are suffering from strange vertigo. There doesn’t seem to be an end in sight.
Ciel felt like she was drowning, being pulled down in the strange rainbow water. Her lungs were burning as she struggle to try to swim to the surface but to no avail. Right as her vision was fading she shot up awake in her bed breathing heavily. This dream and and others like it kept reoccurring, she was getting no sleep and her head was hurting.
Powering up she decided to go out to the city to try to clear her head. She eventually found a roof top to perch on. She looked up at the strange aurora's dancing colors.
There had to be a connection between her dreams and the aurora, but she had no proof. As she was pondering this she felt the approach of a senshi, one she knew fairly well.
"Hey Tsih can't sleep either?" She said to senshi as she approached.

The past few days had been horribly unpleasant. When they had been able to find zero clues in regards to the colors in the sky, Bluebell had gone home feeling somewhat defeated. Little did she know that after that things would only get worse. The first night she assumed the nightmares were associated with her on subconscious, disappointed in her ability to figure out what was happening to her city. But, as they kept happening and not just to her, she only grew more irritated.
Bluebell was not generally a very patient person and she absolutely loved her sleep at night. A chance to rest, wind down, and enjoy some fantastical dreams. All of it was ruined by the stupid aurora that hang over Destiny City. Everyone around her was rude and grumpy, which did nothing to improve her ever darkening mood.
That night, when the left the house and transformed, she vowed to find an answer. There had to be something out there causing this. What were they after? Maybe they just wanted to see everyone in the city go made and tear each other to pieces. If this went on for much longer, she feared that's exactly what would happen.
She wasn't out for long when she sensed a familiar aura nearby. So, Hyperborea was out as well tonight. Tsih barely had the energy to jump onto the roof and bags were under her eyes as she slumped down to dangle her feet over the edge.
"I used to love the rainbow. It's so pretty with all it's colors. But, well....that's been ruined." It only took drowning in a rainbow of water so many times to ruin such a lovely phenomenon. "If it keeps up much longer....I don't know what will happen." She had hoped on the first night, that since they hadn't found any clues, it was an odd natural occurrence. Maybe the heavy snow had somehow caused the colors to reflect in the sky. If only they could be so lucky.

Hyperborea let out a very tired laugh. "Now we can't give up on rainbows. It's not their fault they are being used for evil." Her laugh quickly dried up though.
"This is a real problem, I assume you've been having the dreams too. Its going around my maids could barely stay on their feet, I told them all to take some time off. But this is dangerous." She explained frustrated.
"We have to do something but I have no idea what. If we just knew the force behind this we could try to reason with or fight it if it came to that. But even with magic you can't fight the sky." She grumbled frustrated at her inability to solve this situation.

Personally, if Tsih never saw another rainbow again, she'd survive. She probably be the only person to not turn and look out the window when someone calls out 'omg, look! A rainbow!'. Of course, she wasn't sure how her current mood and lack of sleep as effecting her thoughts at the moment. Given some time, she'd probably put it all behind her.
"My parents have been at each other's throats all day. Which is not normal at all mind you." At first Bluebell had tried to be a bit of a medium between the two of them, but that didn't last for long. They accused her of taking sides and that had been the final straw. She had thrown her hands in the air and stomped out of the house.
"I'm not even sure I'm up for a fight at the moment." Which was completely unlike her in every possible way. At a moments notice Tsih was always ready to jump into action. But right now? It was like every muscle in her body ached, her eyes were heavy, and she wanted to sleep more than anything. "Do you think it's some sort of energy draining?" If it was, she hoped it would be satisfied before it drained them all dry.

"Ouch, that sucks." She wondered how many other people were in similar situations, this aurora was tearing people apart.
She shook her head at Tsih's question. "If it were actual energy draining I would be in much worse shape than you. The down side to my transcendence." She said indicating to the glowing lines etched into her skin. "is that it leaves me very susceptible to energy draining. I would probably be unconscious or worse right now if it were draining my energy."
"No I think it is simply not getting enough sleep, but given its magical origin I don't think sleeping pills for the city will help." She wished such a simple solution would work but unfortunately not.

Tsih could only imagine what the city was going through at the moment. She tried to get a coffee at a cafe earlier and nearly had her head chewed off by the cashier. He was lucky she didn't turn around and toss the coffee back in his face. Lucky for him, she had a bit of a reputation she wanted to hold up. She was sure the circumstances would forgive her, but she still didn't need that on her plate at the moment.
"Hm, I had no idea it worked like that." She had avoided any sort of energy draining so far, personally. So she didn't really know it's actual side effects. "Perhapes whatever it is, is feeding on all the negativity in the air. Or just wanted to ruin Christmas for everyone." It was hard to get excited for the approaching Holiday when you couldn't get a wink of sleep at night.
"I don't think a sleeping pill would even keep me sleep. With the dreams as well? Ugh, it's likely to kill someone." There was a reason you never actually died in your dreams. There were going to be some serious consequences if it didn't end soon. "Do you think if I throw a rock high enough it will shatter?" She was joking at this point, mostly because she didn't know what else to do. Maybe if they actually went patrolling they'd find something this time?

"Now thats an interesting though. Could something be feeding on negative emotions or perhaps it is feeding on the dreams itself." It was something to think on.
"Somehow I doubt it but." She shifted her grip on her staff and launched it as high as her enhanced strength would allow her, when nothing happened she called the weapon back to her hand.
"Nope can't shatter it." She said in a dry tired laugh.
"Do you think you are up for patrolling, even if we can't find the source we should at least make sure nothing bad happens because of it." She said to the senshi.

Tsih watched with awe as Hyperborea tossed her staff high into the air, but sighed when nothing actually came of it. A part of her had hope there was some sort of illusion that could be broken, but there was simply no way to investigate what was going on up there.
"It was worth a shot at least." She gave her friend a faint smile and then stood up when she mentioned going out on patrol. Even if they couldn't find out what was behind the aurora, there was no doubt it was stirring up trouble all around Destiny City. Tempers were flaring and it would probably be a good idea to keep their eyes out for people up to no good. It provided a fairly good distraction for those wishing to do some sort of evil.
"You know, I could punch a would-be-mugger or two in the face. It'd be a nice way to blow off some steam." With that, Tsih took a deep breathe and leaped from the building they had been perched on. Surely someone out there needed some help, even if it didn't have something to do with the Negaverse, she had promised to protect the citizens of Destiny City no matter what.
