For no apparent reason, Destiny City is plagued with another strange phenomenon, only this one can strike at any time. The icicles plummet from the sky with no warning, regardless of a clear or cloudy sky. The spikes range in size from a few inches up to two feet. Sometimes only one might fall, or sometimes a torrent of them, but they never fall far longer than a minute at a time. So far, injuries and damage have been reported across the city. How are you faring? Madge was on her way home from the nearest grocery store. Mom was in one of her cooking moods for the holidays but needed a few ingredients that had been missing from their stores. So of course, it had fallen to Madge to run to the grocery store. Even though it was freezing. And sprinkling. Ugh. She tried to hurry, but she didn't want to slip. Her boots were fashionable, but they weren't slip resistant. Something crashed to the ground behind her. Madge shrieked and whirled around to see what it could have possibly been. An icicle. A giant icicle. It had shattered on impact but there was a lot of ice there. "Um...okay then." She'd heard her friends talking about these things, but she thought they were just being crazy. But they weren't making things up. She looked up, but there wasn't anywhere for it to have come from. "What the hell.... This city is frickin' nuts."

Clayton was out picking up some food for his little apartment he didn't have much, but it was enough for him the hospital had helped him a lot to restart his life and now he was on his own. He spotted Madge who looked as if she was cursing this strange city not that he could blame her. He couldn't remember much about his past but recently he had remembered that he was Morpheus dark mirror senshi of surreality. Clearly, this city was his home because it was always surreal. The blades of ice falling from the sky were a tribute to that. Dodging the icy blades falling from the otherwise clear sky he made his way over to her. He cocked his eyebrow at her and held his hand out offering to carry her bags. He could find food for himself later if it meant making sure Madge got somewhere safe first. This weather wasn't safe for anyone. He wondered if she would understand him this time, or if she would yet again make him speak. She did that a lot last time they had met but he didn't mind too much. Still he hoped she didn't expect him to make a big speech.

Movement made her turn and she smiled a bit when she saw Clayton. Weird how he was showing up when crazy stuff was happening. Though, she was glad he hadn't randomly appeared in her bedroom the other night when that creepy caroling was going on. She shuddered lightly at the thought. She still couldn't hear Carol of the Bells without feeling creeped out. He was pretty good at dodging those icicles, but she shook her head when he held his hand out. "No, I'm good, thanks." It was nice of him to offer to carry her bags, but they weren't heavy. At least she hoped that was what he'd meant. If she was going to spend more time with him, she should learn to speak Facial since he was fluent. "This icicle stuff is weird, right? Like drugged fruitcake weird," she said with a snort, then yelped and jumped out of the path of another falling icicle. "Maybe we should go inside somewhere, yeah?"

Clayton nodded he wanted Madge out of danger, he shrugged when she refused to let him carry her bag. Clearly, she was an independent girl and he wasn't an over-inflated guy. It didn't hurt his ego to let her carry her own bag if she wanted to. Madge seemed to be able to do the talking for both of them and voiced an idea he agreed with so he moved to find a place to get out of the possibly deadly weather. He took her the only place he could think of his tiny apartment. There was a little kitchen, a bedroom, a couch. Little tv nothing big or special and no major personal items or pictures of friends or family since he didn't remember if he had any. He would keep a picture of Madge if he had a picture of her. He considered her someone he liked. He wasn't sure if cared about was the right word maybe it was. Who was to say. He looked out the window of his apartment in time to see a huge icicle. Falling from the sky. It fell on the windshield of a parked car. Yea someone was going to be unhappy when they saw that.

Clayton seemed to know a good place to go to get away from the falling ice spikes so Madge followed. He really wasn't much for speaking, but the more she was around him the more she found she understood him without him having to speak. She arched her brow a little when she realized he had taken her to his apartment. It wasn't big or fancy or anything, but she guessed no one really needed that much. "It's nice," she told him and offered a smile. As she wandered closer to the window, she noticed there weren't many pictures or anything. She was curious about it but didn't want to be rude and ask outright. They weren't that close. "Yikes," she said when she saw the latest icicle spear the car's windshield. "Bet insurance doesn't cover that." She hoped her parents were staying inside during this weird storm.

Clayton sighed it felt like Madge was just being nice he knew his life was pretty empty because he could really remember anything. "I was in an accident, and nope don't remember what happened and I don't remember pretty much anything else." He couldn't tell her about remembering being dark mirror senshi Morpheus. So that was out for sharing but it was pretty much the only thing he did remember at this point. He shook his head looking at the destroyed car. "Not unless there is a Destiny City policy." So many crazy things happened in the city.

She looked over at him when he sighed, head cocked to one side curiously. "That sucks, I'm sorry to hear that you don't remember anything." Madge watched him for a moment. Hadn't any friends or family found him after his accident? Maybe they could have helped him with his amnesia or something. Or maybe he didn't want their help. Either, way it wasn't really her business. Maybe if they continued to run into each other like this, they'd become friends and she could ask. "Ha," she laughed a little and smiled. "They really ought to have a special policy for the city," she agreed. She wondered if he knew just how weird this city was. If he was like her, or maybe he was on the other side. Who knew? Since her awakening she had wondered that about everyone she knew, everyone she met.
