Hikaru had decided it was time to go get some practice in with her new... weapon. Or claws, really. Close up battle was, apparently, what she was doomed to. She sighed softly, and summoned her partner, watching the long claws appear on her hands. It was almost like that Wolverine character, except they did not come out of her flesh at all, just out of the gloves that formed with them. She stared at them, and tried to figure out how to do this. She moved over to a dummy, and began to slash at it with the claws, and found it felt very weird. For a moment, she considered, then remembered how the Wolverine, in the movie, had often had his fingers in fists under his claws. Would that make it easier? She tried it, and found that yes, it WAS easier, if not 'easy'. She began to punch and slash at the dummy, and began to settle into what it felt like to fight with her claws. This was going to be interesting to learn.

Cassie knew she needed practice with Tendaji - she always needed practice with Tendaji. So, when she saw the new (at least, Cassie thought she was new) girl at the dummies, acting like a female Wolverine, or X-23, but with a dress, she had to approach. "I like your weapons!" Cassie chirped, Tendaji coiled loosely in her hands. "Wanna try them on a moving target?"

Hika whirled, claws up, because the other woman startled her, and stared for a long moment, eyes wide. Finally, she calmed down and took a few slow, deep breaths, then smiled at the other lady. "Ah! Thank you. That could be very helpful? I have never battled against anyone, honestly, and I am still trying to work out how to be the most effective with her." She glanced at the weapon the other woman was holding and blinked a little. "Is that a batman symbol on your weapon?" She asked, in a tone of mild disbelief. "Of all the forms for something to take, that is... very unusual." She paused, and added "I am Hikaru, or Hika, by the way." She gave her opponent a friendly smile.

"If only." Cassie chuckled, then brushed a hand through her huge curls as Tendaji started to mount a migraine assault. He was a Popobawa, dammit, not her stupid little man dressed in his stupid underwear! How dare she not correct this Hika. Stupid, useless Cassie child. "He was basically a bat demon, before turning into a weapon. Dunno why he looks like the Bat-symbol - I thought I was going to be wielding a Batarang, when I saw his tablet in the cove." You're rambling. Fight, do not speak."Cassie, Cassie Gordon." She gave the other woman a small smile in return. "So, shall we dance?"

"A pleasure to meet you, Cassie." She blinked and added "That is a pity, Batman is very cool. I am not the most up on the many super heroes of the various universes, but of the ones I am familiar with, Batman was one of my favorites. A bat demon sounds... odd, but it could be interesting, too." "And yes... Let's dance..." She considered the other woman, and then darted forwards, slashing at Cassie. It was, at best, a glancing scratch, the claws bouncing off the other woman's shield and doing next to no damage. Quote: HP: 40/40 Dmg: 1 Charge: 1/3

Tendaji oozed into existence, long rope coiled around her forearm. The two, despite constant arguing and verbal abuse, had worked a new system of combat out - close range. It was still a bit of a chore to execute, but Cassie was finding herself more comfortable with working in punches and close slashes, the bat shaped blade gripped tight in her armor gloved fist. The glancing blow Hika gave her was returned by Cassie, catching the other woman in the stomach with wire wrapped fist, and a smarmy grin. "First impressions not your forte, Hika?" HP: 39/40 DMG: 1 CHG: 1/3

The smarmy grin earned Cassie a lifted eyebrow, and an expression along the lines of 'really?' for a moment, then it vanished into an expression of discomfort. "I am still figuring this place out, to be honest, and the social rules that exist..." She said, tone a little unsure, but also serious. She stepped back and then darted at Cassie, claws slashing fast and hard at Cassie's side. "But I do try my best to make sure the impression is lasting, once someone gets to know me..."
