Kekkei Genkai: Alchemy (錬金術 Renkinjutsu)
Alchemy (錬金術 Renkinjutsu) is the ancient, magical art that utilizes the natural energy within, manipulating and altering matter. Transmutation (錬成 Rensei) is the basic principal of the kekkai genkai and it is broken down into three simple stages. The first stage is comprehension, if you do not know the material you are working with thoroughly then you will never be certain of the outcome. Each object holds energy within and you must be aware of its structure and each of its interactions with other materials. The second stage is deconstruction. In this stage is where the user breaks down the physical material into its basic energy form. The third and final stage is reconstruction. This is where the now pliable energy is transformed into its new state. A thorough knowledge of chemistry is required to be able to use this kekkai genkai efficiently. This ability is governed by Equivalent Exchange (等価交換 Tōka Kōkan), to obtain something of equal value must be lost. Equivalent Exchange (等価交換 Tōka Kōkan) is also broken down into two separate laws, if these two aren't met then it is impossible for Alchemy (錬金術 Renkinjutsu) to be performed: The Law of Conservation of Mass and The Law of Natural Providence. There are consequences for not obeying these laws. If someone tries to cut corners on the technique or ability a rebound will occur. When an individual tries to create more than is allowed by the laws, the energy and forces get thrown out of balance. This often is a violent surge of wild energy that can cause serious harm or damage to a person and can even kill them. A Transmutation Circle (錬成陣, Renseijin) is necessary for beginners to perform any form of Alchemy (錬金術 Renkinjutsu). The circle can be drawn, etched, printed, etc. on any material and can even be tattooed on the body. Transmutation Circle (錬成陣, Renseijin) are also split into two parts, it contains ancient runes which correspond to the material being transmuted and it is used as a catalyst to unlock the energy within the matter. Once the circle is mastered, a person may use Alchemy (錬金術 Renkinjutsu) without having to draw out the Transmutation Circle (錬成陣, Renseijin) as it will appear automatically.

Description: This technique can be used to create small or large blasts depending how much chakra is poured into it. Once the user's hands rest on the desired target, it creates an energy imbalance within the subject and causes it to combust by breaking down the atoms and molecules at base level and smashing them together in a violent manner.

Description: The caster uses a Transmutation Circle (錬成陣, Renseijin) on the ground of an area and it reads the chakra of those inside of it. This allows the user to track, locate, and sense individuals around them as long as they are within the circle. If the target moves out of range the user will have to move and cast it again. It works well if there are enemies hidden from sight or following an individual from a distance. This technique can be used in a short proximity to identify a person up close to give an accurate reading of a target.

Description: The user casts a Transmutation Circle (錬成陣, Renseijin) around their target. The individual becomes trapped in a genjutsu like state. The floor will open up to reveal an eye which casts the target into a white room to face a door. This door has earned the nickname "The Door of Truth" because while under the effects of this technique you are not able to lie. The caster can cancel the technique at anytime or the target will have to know how to break genjutsu or have someone intervene in order to escape before the technique runs its coarse.

Description: The user can accelerate or decelerate an incoming attack while the targeted attack or person is within range. It is done by analyzing the element of the attack and alters the trajectory by speeding it up or slowing it down. It is highly effective against Wind, Water, and Lightning elements, not so effective against Earth or Fire elements. The user must make eye contact with the attack in order for this to work. It can only effect one thing at a time, not multiple.

Description: The user can channel their chakra into an item and mold it into a new shape. The object still remains the same weight and takes up the same amount of space just in a different alignment. For example, a 75 foot piece of rope weighs 1.5 pounds and can hold 100 pounds of force before it breaks, if molded into a ball it would still weigh 1.5 pounds as well as be able to take 100 pounds of force. The only thing that would change is that it would be in a circular pattern and not a straight pattern.

Description: This technique is a myth among the Elric Clan as it is dark and forbidden act to want to use Alchemy (錬金術 Renkinjutsu) on the human body. The caster must determine what components the human body is made up of and then attempt to summon the soul of the departed to the synthetic vessel by casting a Transmutation Circle (錬成陣, Renseijin). There is no equivalent to a human soul so this technique has been deemed a failure since there are no records proving a case successful. This technique has a varied chance of success, one could summoning back the wrong soul, or even summon the soul into your own body. There is a chance for rebounds as well if the synthetic body was ill-prepared. The summoner must know the person they are attempting to resurrect in the physical sense, not read about them. A dice roll will determine if this technique is a success.
If successful and a soul is brought back then some changes will be noticed. A jinchuriki will lose their bijuu since this a new body, you will also lose any kekkai genkai. Old skills and elements will be transferred over with no summoning contracts to worry about. If the new soul is summoned into the caster's body then a severe case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde will occur where both inhabitants want control over one body. In this case where the soul inhabits the body, no jutsu or kekkai are transferred, just muscle memory skills like taijutsu. If the wrong soul is summoned by the caster than it will create one awkward situation.

<Human Transmutation: Soul Binding>

Description: Soul Binding is a lesser known phenomenon in the Elric Clan. This technique attempts to bind a human soul into an inanimate object that contains iron. Instead of a Transmutation Circle (錬成陣, Renseijin), this skill is performed with runes written in blood from the victim. They say that the iron from the blood binds with the iron found in varying metals, trapping the soul in a temporary form. But since the new vessel is not the original body the soul came from, eventually the soul will depart the metal after a period of time. If for any reason the blood rune is damaged via piercing or smudging then the soul will be set free. The caster of the technique must know the individual they are attempting to soul bind. The soul that is brought back with be stuck using only martial arts and weapon techniques since the metal body has no chakra or kekkai genkai.

Description: This technique is another forbidden skill among clan members. It is the unmoral act of synthesizing two separate species together using a sub-form of Bio-Alchemy. You can even mix humans with animals using this rumored technique. Though the success rate is only about a fifty percent chance or you will just kill whatever it is you were trying to conjoin. This technique is strictly to conjoin animals with other animals or animals to humans.

Description: This stone is the most forbidden practice among the Elrics because their whole ideology revolves around Equivalent Exchange (等価交換 Tōka Kōkan). The Philosopher's Stone (賢者の石, Kenja no Ishi) is created by trapping the souls of the dead inside a massive Transmutation Circle (錬成陣, Renseijin), condensing them down, amplifying one's use of Alchemy (錬金術 Renkinjutsu) without any rebounds or regards to the rules of nature. As long as the stone holds its power it grants the user with a huge supply of energy. To craft one, always red in color, it requires souls of recently killed shinobi. The stone is weakened with each and every technique performed by draining the souls. (The number of techniques is dependent on a dice roll from 1-100 during the attempt to create the stone.) When all the souls are consumed then the stone ceases to exists. When this occurs an unpreventable rebound takes place significantly damaging whomever has used its power. A large Transmutation Circle (錬成陣, Renseijin) must be drawn around the corpses immediately preserving the souls within the stone.

Physical Characteristics: All members of the clan are related to each other and have some variances in appearance. Elrics always have blonde or black hair with gold or blue eyes.

History: The Elric clan bases its ranking like a military hierarchy. The people are all very helpful to their own kind but have steered clear of Unity and the Five Great Nations for fear of being dragged into wars. It is a small clan community of about 200 people. The members of this society live quiet lives and are usually in tune with nature. Rouges and bandits are a threat to their society since the clan is separate from the walls of Unity. Because of this, some members of the clan want to go through the harsh training to put their kekkai genkai to use in the military. All those who join the military are known as a State Alchemist (国家錬金術師, Kokka Renkinjutsushi). Individuals who choose to accept the training must give up their peaceful lives and go under stricter guidance. Alchemy (錬金術 Renkinjutsu) can be dangerous the ranked officials have to be sure that the people are protected from the power as well. No Alchemy is to be performed outside of battle without a license. Though there are some who strive to gain more without losing anything, drawn to the power of the unknown. It is a dangerous thing to try and meddle with the forbidden techniques. Those who try to use the forbidden skills or refuse to get a license are exiled from the clan and are left to fend for themselves. If the offense was high enough the person may even be branded with a mark upon exile, further telling of the crime they committed.
