Quote: On the fourth night of the aurora, it changes from dancing lights to a strange, swirling maelstrom. A cold wind picks up, swirling wildly. Near midnight, the wind is strong enough to topple lighter bushes and knock branches from trees. No major damage has been done, but it is still a storm no one wants to be out in. Suddenly, the colors in the sky seem to explode. A distant echo, like thunder, rolls through the town. The aurora is gone, and so is its strange spell. The only thing that lingers are the small, colorful beads that fall from the sky like hail. They sparkle in all colors of the aurora and are never any larger than a marble. Most of them seem safe, but if you hold too many at one time you are met with the same sleepless affliction the town was suffering under the aurora.

It would have been hard to miss the reports going around about people suffering from strange bouts of vertigo or passing out from fatigue–
And it was suspicious enough to merit investigation - especially because when people started to suddenly suffer from fatigue it often ended up being as a result of some sort of Negaverse operation.
Even he hadn't been immune to the strange bout of sleeplessness, Liryn's dreams - for the very brief periods where he had managed to fall asleep - that of falling through rainbows only to then find himself jerking awake - and so in the name of finding out what was going on so that people could go back to having a good night sleep Liryn found himself out and about, his purplish eyes on the lookout for anything that could be said to be out of the ordinary.
And even with his winter coat it felt cold out–
Although mayhaps that had something to do with the way that the wind had decided to pick up, almost as if to match a sky that had changed from the dancing colours of the previous nights to something that was more akin to a maelstrom.Midnightglow18 And final start done - as with the others lmk if anything needs tweaking and I will get onto it as soon as I can :3

Since she had felt the effects of the aurora herself she had been so tired with no sleep in sight and it had made her very cranky more cranky than she normally would have been otherwise. She went out to cover the city in her sailor scout form since she couldn't sleep anyway. She sighed and transformed into sailor Dejanari. She looked at the storm that was happening and didn't really care she was too tired to care that the winds were so strong knocking over small bushes and throwing around tree branches. She went up to a rooftop her normal place for patroling the city.

Liryn had been trotting across the mouth of an alley when he had first felt the aura - the aura the warm and welcoming aura of an Order aura - an Order basic senshi aura to be precise.
It felt close - not immediate close, but close enough for him to decide to try and track it down because company was always - and especially on a night like tonight with the cold wind continuing to strengthen–
Which was how he had found himself heading towards one of the parks that dotted the city as the wind continued to grow from strength to strength - until at last it was strong enough to knock some of the branches away from the trees, sending them clattering downwards as bushes appeared to move crazily to and fro - almost as if keeping time to the crazily swirling colours in the sky.

Dejanari wished she could find the answer to the aurora she wanted to turn it off so she could get some sleep, she hadn't had a good nights rest in days and it was really getting on her nerves and she didn't like the feeling at all. The storm seemed to be getting worse and she hoped it wouldn't hurt the city too much. She felt a small aura but wasn't sure what it was perhaps a guardian cat? She had met a few and they had all been pretty nice so she didn't mind the idea of advice from one now.

Liryn was finding it hard to keep track of the aura that he had picked up on - although that may have had something to do with the way that the weather was also making him have to also play 'dodge the branch'–
Not that there was an exact science to tracking auras at the best of times - and tonight certainly wasn't that - but Liryn wasn't going to let the weather stop him from at least trying.
Even so it was still more chance than actual design when the source of the aura finally came into view - or at least Liryn was hoping that the strawberry-haired senshi who had come into view was the same one that he had been trying to find.
He raised a paw in an attempt to try and cheerfully wave at her "Hi."
Although it was hard to tell if she had even heard him over the sound of the wind.

Dejanari turned to the sound and she smiled, it was as she thought it was a guardian cat. She nodded a greeting as she watched the wild wind storm that was hitting the city. "Hello." She said loud enough to be heard which wasn't easy considering the noise currently. Suddenly the storm burst into what appeared to be aurora marbles. Dejanari didn't want to touch them, she wasn't sure she would want anything to do with rainbows for a while. Since they had kept her from sleeping for almost three days. "Any idea what caused this strange weather?" She softly asked the guardian cat when the storm finally passed. Youma didn't control the weather, did they?

Liryn's feline smile widened as the senshi turned and looked over at him and he couldn't quite hear what she was saying as the wind picked that moment to howl particularly loudly - but she had spotted him and the distance between them was easily fixed–
Well perhaps not that easily given that the branches were still being knocked around by the wind and a strange rumble of thunder, but Liryn thought himself quite up for the task of playing dodge the branch given that he had been doing a pretty okay job of it so far.
It took until he had reached her however for him to realised that it wasn't just branches dropping down, as the rumbling sound of thunder started to recede, and that coloured marbles were started to fall down - and it wasn't just any marbles - but marbles that sparkled in the colours of the aurora that had coloured the skies–
An aurora that was now.. Gone?
He batted at a nearby aurora-coloured marble in puzzled interest as more of them continued to rain down from the sky, before looking up at the strawberry-haired senshi "I don't" he admitted "I haven't seen anything like this before."

Dejanari sighed "Me either, I'm pretty new to being a senshi, Sumi helped me learn a little earlier this fall." She hoped she didn't sound foolish admitting that she was still new to this world of magic. She didn't have an arrogant bone in her body. If she needed help and wanted to learn something she would ask for help. She hoped she could find a guardian cat or another senshi who was willing to train her. She wanted to feel confident and strong in her powers. She didn't want to always be the shy sweet raspberry she wanted to be the sharp thorn for once. It would take time though since she had to learn and grow to get to be stronger. "I am Sailor Dejanari." She said in a soft tone. "And you are?" She gently asked the guardian cat. She had met a few so far and they had all been pretty nice. Sumi had been a little bossy but it seemed to be for good reason since Michiko didn't know that the gargoyle was a dangerous Youma.

The name 'Sumi' wasn't one that Liryn recognised, although he made a note of it for just in case - because it was always nice to meet new people and if he ever came across this said Sumi in future then at least he'd be able to put a face to the name–
Well maybe.. Hopefully.
He had started absently batting at another of the aurora coloured marbles in interest, but stopped as the pink-haired senshi introduced herself, "It's nice to meet you Dejanari," he said cheerfully with a cat grin as purplish eyes glanced up at her "I'm Liryn."

Dejanari smiled at the guardian cat "It is nice to meet you as well." She looked down again at the marbles wondering what effect they would have on the city. The aurora itself had certainly had a bad effect on a great deal of the city.

Liryn was a cat that liked meeting new faces and also chatting to said new faces - especially if said chatting came with scritches thrown in.
But even with his winter coat he was feeling the cold and Dejanari didn't have the benefit of fluffy fur.
"Say Dejanari would you be up to finding somewhere slightly warmer?" He asked cheerfully as he tried to vanish the marble that he had been studying into his sub space pocket - because it seemed safe enough and he wanted to try and have a proper look over it later.
"We could chat - and if you had any questions then I'd be up for answering them - or at least trying to."
And maybe he could work in trying to take a look at her senshi phone to see if she had the old version or the new, sleeker touch phone model. "What do you say?"
Liryn left the choice open to her, although he was very much hoping that Dejanari would say yes.

Dejanari smiled at Liryn "I would like that very much thank you." She would gladly show Liryn that she had an older version of her senshi phone. She hadn't thought to ask one of the guardian cats she had met to upgrade her phone for her. She would also need the help of a guardian cat when it came time for her to grow stronger in her powers. For now she still felt like she needed a little more time. (Fin)
