Broderick hadn't seen Miss Kitty in quite some time - not since around Halloween, as a matter of fact. It wasn't that he had been particularly busy, either. Their paths just hadn't crossed; their respective senshi busy with their own lives and themselves busy with... well, whatever they were busy with. Miss Kitty was probably actively doing her job awakening senshi and teaching them and ... things. Broderick, though? He had mostly been sleeping and stealing glimpses at the internet when his Myammy was away.

Now, though, he planned to meet up with her for a night out. There wasn't a lot a pair of cats could do out on the town, but he was sure he would think of something as he trotted up to his sweet lady's home, hoping she would know to meet him outside already. It was only once he arrived and hat sat down that he started to notice the snow falling. Normally, he wasn't much fond of snow: it was cold and nasty ad above-all wet, but this snow looked... really strange...

Was snow supposed to look like this?

"Miss Kitty, hi!" Broderick greeted her with a sniff and a twitch of his tail, then looked up at the snow (was it even really snow? It looked like little crystals rather than little... ice... crystals... well, whatever) and frowned. "No," he said, frowning thoughtfully. "Have you? It's pretty, at least." Almost romantic, in a way - like the sky was showering their little get together with a million points of light, or little miniature stars... "It just feels like snow, though... by which I mean it's really getting cold out! Would you mind if I visited at your place for a little while instead of us hitting the town? My plans didn't account for snow..."

"Are they being naughty?" Brody asked, nuzzling Kitty before moving toward the safe, warm inside. "The snow is pretty, but I'd rather watch it from inside. Where it's warm, and we can appreciate how pretty it is without getting cold and wet." Nobody could ever say Broderick didn't have priorities.

"Oh! Do you think we could have some hot cocoa, too?" He'd have to make sad eyes at a human to have some made, unfortunately, because it was too tricky to manage without thumbs but - but hot cocoa and a snowfall (even a weird snowfall) was probably super romantic and a great way to spend the evening with your girlfriend.

"I should... probably actually try to awaken someone else sometime," Brody said, blinking as he considered that idea. "I... haven't really bothered much. I know I should, but then I'd have to explain things, and I'm bad at that. And not everyone can adapt as well as Myammy can." He frowned thoughtfully, then jumped up to join Miss Kitty on the sill, looking out at the snow and curling his tail around them both.

"I don't want to be responsible for someone getting hurt." He hummed thoughtfully, then frowned. Dogs? Ew. "A puppy? I hope it knows to respect you!"

Pretty falling diamond snow... Broderick still wasn't sure what to make of the phenomenon, but it seemed pretty harmless, and once the snow hit the ground it looked like... well, snow. It was only while falling that it seemed particularly strange - strange, but nice. "Mm, I wouldn't be any better at it," he said, shaking his head and leaning against Miss Kitty with a soft purr. "I don't usually think things need explaining, at least not... as much as people seem to want. Why do humans get bogged down in so many unnecessary details anyway?"

Not that it mattered, he thought idly, looking out at the snowfall and sighing. "...Kitty? Do you think we're doing the right thing by all these kids? So many of them are ... are not much more than human kittens, and we keep asking them to fight things we can't help them with..."

"Why do they keep getting dragged into this when they're still in training?" Broderick asked, frowning. "It isn't right to ask a kitten to fight in something they're not at all prepared for..." Not that he knew how to help them, and now wasn't really the time to think of anything so sober.

He shook his head and sighed. "Let's not think about that right now, though - let's just enjoy the snowfall. I don't think we'll get anything as lovely as this any time soon!"

"I'd like that," Brody said softly, eyes locked on the falling diamond-snow for a little while longer, before he turned and bumped his nose against miss Kitty's gently. "I'm sorry I couldn't bring any presents, but I'd never turn down an opportunity to spend more time with you." He didn't think his Myammy - his senshi - would mind him spending this time away from her. Not when it meant spending time with someone else so very dear to him.
