Lace was still recovering from the nightmare that had been the fruit cake, and she had sworn off all fruit cakes for the rest of her life after that day. She had never expected sweets to just.....ruin her like that but it had and made her just.....
Bleh.
As such though, after resting for a couple of nights, the kitten was back out in the snow, this time bundled up tight with gifts from Sera and Carn. Her small kitten suit kept her warm and dry in the snow and she was pouncing in it happily, heading off to the park to do some investigating and stuff.
Hopefully it would be a good day!

It was never going to be a good day when Silk was involved, and he was involved. Lace's twin brother came flying off the nearby park wall and tackled his sister into a nearby snow mound, pushed aside to clear the path for people to walk. "What the---" Silk stared down at his sister with narrowed eyes. " What is that stupid thing you're wearing?" He pawed at it. "IT'S EVEN MORE STUPID THAN HOW YOU USUALLY LOOK!"

Lace was just innocently walking around and now all the sudden she was being pushed into snow mounds, out of the sight of human eyes.
She clambered out of the cold and then looked up at her brother.
"S..silk!" She exclaimed and then huddled closer together. "What!??!" She blinked and looked at her outfit. "It's....It's to keep me warm!" She stared at him.
"S...stop!" She pushed him away with her paw, smoothing the sweater like thing down!

Silk stared at his sister. "CATS DON'T WEAR SWEATERS!" He exclaimed, his voice carrying loud enough to knock off some snow on a tree branch above. He huffed as he then glared. "You're a giant wuss, Lace! Awww, your little paddies getting cold? TOUGHEN UP!" He smacked her with a paw. "This is why s**t stains like Theodore pick on you!"

"S...Some of them do!!" She batted Silk away. "That's so....so rude!" She started to feel the annoyance bubbling up and the frustration. "I...I like it! It..It was a gift!" She hissed, "Do..Don't you get any gifts from your stupid wolf pack?"
She smacked him back, and her back arched.
"We...We made up! So..So we can be friends now!" At least thats what the christmas party for all the cats had been right? A make up.
Theodore had invited her specially and that had to mean something!

" Well they're all stupid." Though she batted him away, he came right back like a wart, and scoffed. "Of course I do! Way cooler things than stupid sweaters!" Like awesome food. All the time. But even more awesome food when it was the holidays. Lace smacked him, and in turn he smacked her again. When she arched, he only fed off of it and arched as well, his fur starting to poof out. "You're so stupid! Theodore is a giant tool! Can't you see he's just pretending to be nice to you!? He doesn't really like you!"

"You're...YOU'RE" Lace stuttered out because Silk was being EXTRA mean to her and that was stupid and she was tired of him just...just hating on her.
Her outfit was cute! Sera picked it out for her!! Carnelian gave her things too!! It wasn't her fault that Silk was stupid and didn't like wearing sweaters.
"We...We made up!" She hissed at him and her eyes narrowed from their normally big, she circled around and she hissed again. "It...Its not my fault you live together!"
The more angrier she got, the more her forehead star started to glow, pulsing a little bit as a warning.

His back arched more, his fur poofed out further, and as Lace circled, he did as well, a low yowl issuing from him as they moved. "It doesn't matter that you made up! Aren't you even thinking about his intentions!? The world isn't some ******** Disney movie, Lace! Not everything is sparkles and glitter and happiness just because someone made up. What's made up is that bull s**t peace offer---" He didn't notice the glowing of her star, too tunnel visioned on her and just how ignorant she was being.

"I...It could be if you were just open to it!" Lace yelled back at her stupid brother because he was just being such a...a....a.....
"Why...Why are you being an a*****e!?!" She learned that word from Jericho, though it was never directed to her and only to other people! "It was Theodore's way...way of saying sorry!" Her start hit a maximum amount of glow and with all her anger and rage coming out, the start exploded in a beam of light.
A beam of light that hit her brother square on.
Lace and then ran over to her brother.
"S..S...Silk!?!?!"

"It was Theodore's way of---" Silk didn't get to finish that statement. He got beamed. His entire vision flashed white, and it wasn't from the snow. This was also the first time he'd been on the receiving end of such an attack. He had used his own once or twice and guh. The kitten's limbs went numb from being stunned, and he was flopped over in the snow. He was stuck like that for quite a few long moments, and as the feeling started to come back into his body, he twitched sporadically. When Silk could finally get his mouth moving and focus, he stared at his sister, horrified. " Wh-wh-what is wrong with you!?"

"I...I don't know what that was!" Lace cried, licking at her brother's ears and nudging him to help him move. She had no idea what she had done! She had never beamed someone before and...and...
"Are...Are you okay Silk?" Lace brushed snow off him and kept fussing over him. Worried that she had seriously injured her brother.

Silk tried to weakly pull away, not wanting to receive the concerned attention from his sister after she beamed him. A paw came up to try and push her away, and the curled around his head, pulling his ear down so that he could try to get away from the attention. "I-it's a beam cats can you to defend themselves you stu---" He couldn't even finish the sentence, still too much in shock and wheezing. "... Do I look okay!?" The mixture came out between a hiss and a wheeze. " You can go now."

" Like you really care!" Silk wheezed, dramatically butt hurt. "You still ditched me to the wild to go live with Sarah, so don't start caring now!" He put a paw on her forehead to try and keep her at that distance away from him, and he grumbled for a moment before snapping his reply. "No, stupid! Only when you feel cornered and in emergency situations! It's not something you can do whenever you feel like being a jerk!"

Obviously she did, otherwise she would've left, just like he leaves her all the time. "I did...did not ditch you!" She narrowed her eyes, booping him on the nose. "Pl..plus you have your new home!"
She blinked and then nodded, "I won't use..use it on you again."
She paused. "Maybe next time...you won't be mean to me." She licked her paw and then brushed his head and started to walk away.
