Near midnight, the wind is strong enough to topple lighter bushes and knock branches from trees. No major damage has been done, but it is still a storm no one wants to be out in. Suddenly, the colors in the sky seem to explode. A distant echo, like thunder, rolls through the town. The aurora is gone, and so is its strange spell. The only thing that lingers are the small, colorful beads that fall from the sky like hail. They sparkle in all colors of the aurora and are never any larger than a marble. Most of them seem safe, but if you hold too many at one time you are met with the same sleepless affliction the town was suffering under the aurora.

Patrol was far different then she expected tonight. Lace had been tucked into the holster of Seraphanites weapon belt, while he held one of his swords. They had come out because the nights had been well...sleepless.
It had started with the Aurora appeared, bright and beautiful over the sky. Lace had asked about it, to the Captain and even he didn't know what was going on.
This was not a nega made attack, so their job was to find out if it was even an attack at all.
"Be careful!" Lace clung to the holster as wind blew around them, her ears flattening and she cling as close to the captain as she could. Her small body shivering from the cold. "I...I think I feel someone?" her body trembled but the aura felt familiar!

Sadalsuud couldn't help but shiver as the wind picked up, neither her outfit nor the sheer gauze of her overlay any protection against the chill as she crossed her arms and tucked her hands under her elbows in a - futile - attempt to try and keep them warm.
She probably shouldn't have slipped out, not tonight - not after almost falling asleep on the last two occasions that she had gone out - but the neatly wrapped present, that was her gift to Miss Kitten was still undelivered and Sadalsuud really wanted to try and get her present to the small, cute black kitten that had helped awaken her into the Dark Mirror Court–
And if it meant being out in the cold whilst tired then so be it.
With no way of contacting Miss Kitten, Sadalsuud had opted to try and head for the part of town where she had first met the small black kitten in the hopes that maybe just maybe it was somewhere that the kitten frequented, but she hadn't turned up anything as yet.
In fact she had been contemplating maybe giving up and heading home for the evening when she picked up on her first aura of the evening - a chaotic aura and a strong one at that - but not of a type she was familiar with.

First came the snowstorms, which were annoying but not the most odd occurrence the city ever had to offer. Hell, it was almost a nice change, ignoring the hazards to commutes to work and along patrols.
The aurora on the other hand.
Sure, it was pretty, and some folks were getting some great shots out of it. But the beauty of it mattered little when it became clear it made no sense naturally, which meant he'd teleported himself to Negaspace to begin checking the database for any information that might explain the situation. Nothing came up, not even any record of if a senshi might have a power source that could be to blame.
Great.
Seraphinite had been.... reluctant, to say the least, to have Lace out and about that night, as the wind roared and debris were slammed this way and that. One sword summoned and holstered, he'd grumbled about the armor he wore now preventing him from hiding Lace in his jacket like he had prior, though the second holster with his unsummoned--for the time being--sword was... suitable. Sort of. Next project was going to be to figure out a better system for keeping the guardian tucked away.
"You warm enough?" He kept a hand down at the side of the holster with his thumb looped over the edge inside where the kitten was, trying to make sure she didn't go tumbling out at any point. Especially considering most of his patrol routes consisted of rooftops and other high places not suitable for a dislodged kitten. But Lace wasn't the only one to notice the energy signature, and he scowled. He'd felt the oddities of a Dark Mirror Senshi energy before, and the result had ended with him getting the scar on his chest he now bore.
His brow furrowed and he grunted. "If this turns into a fight, you need to get out of here, Lace." Of course, he could teleport them away, as his expectations with most senshi leaned towards confict when encountered... But he wouldn't deny there was a part of him that wanted to take the problematic ones out when the chance arose.
Captain Seraphinite continued towards the source, gritting his teeth a bit against the growing winds when a black and green--really?--senshi came into view. His scowl deepened. Not one he'd encountered before, though that did little to ease the tension in the large man. "What's your business out here?"

"I'm okay Sera!" The kitten tried to assure her Agent by placing her paw on his finger that was looped through. Since his upgrade, there was no suitable place for her to be, but they made do. If it was a different kind of night, she would be running with him!
"Hopefully it doesn't!" She wasn't all that great with the mirror senshi, but she knew Mintaka and Sadalsuud and Remarque. All three of them had been very nice people, so she didn't feel like they were bad!
But she had heard some Dark mirrors didn't like Nega's either. That was sad!
Her eyes struggled to stay open as wind whipped around but she caught sight of black and green and clovers and instantly knew who it was.
"SADALSUUD!" The kitten struggled in the holster, "Sera...Sera that is my senshi! She is one of my senshi!" The kitten put her paws on his hands, "Please don't hurt her!!" If she wasn't careful though, she'd fall out of his little holster and get blown away.

Curiosity had warred briefly with indecision as for a moment Sadasuud debated on whether she should try and intentionally track the aura down because she hadn't come across a chaotic aura quite like it before.
If it had been another night it was quite likely that curiosity would have won, but tonight she had found herself eventually deciding against it because her main purpose in being out was to try and find Miss Kitten and the aura was too strong to belong to the cute black kitten–
Well at least from what she could remember it was.
It seemed however that maybe the source of the other aura was closer than she'd thought or maybe they had been heading the same way because as she turned out from around a corner she found herself looking up startled as a voice suddenly spoke up and realised that the aura that she'd first picked up on was now virtually on top of her.
The man that stood a little up ahead of her was not only taller than her, which given her 4 foot 11 inches of height was no real surprise, but also taller than Kiuchi and possibly Mr Prince - which made him huge–
And he didn't look very friendly as he scowled down at her which made Sadalsuud feel a little nervous, the nervousness reflected in her smile as she said "I'm looking for..."
Her voice trailed off as a voice suddenly chose to pipe up from somewhere down by his side, her green eyes widening as Sadalsuud realised that she recognised that voice.
"Miss Kitten?" And her smiled widened, turning more friendly and warm as she caught sight of the familiar little black paws "Miss Kitten I was looking for you."
Although her smile quickly turned to a look of concern as the holster-thing that the small kitten was in appeared to wobble, because it didn't look very stable and the night was a windy one, the concern reflected in her voice as she called out to small kitten "Please be careful" because she didn't want her friend to end up tumbling out of the holster thing.

Finding a Dark Mirror Senshi was bad enough. Dark Mirror Senshi were worse than corrupts, worse than even the blasted Dark Mirrors. They were Chaos, but they weren't their Chaos. They weren't, one might say, the right Chaos. They were a largely attack on sight target for Seraphinite. He'd no regrets from that.
But to have Lace suddenly call out a name--very, very loudly--and then proceed to call the girl in black and green her senshi... To be fair, they were probably all lucky he didn't summon his second sword then and there and rid himself of the problems this suggested. His chest tightened, a low growl forming deep in him he could barely smother--something likely heard then by the kitten at his side trying to rein him in for what she could.
His brain rewound the words a bit though. One of. Meaning, not one she held a bond to. At least, not in her wording did he hear that, as he focused further on how she specifically said things.
It didn't ease up his scowl, not remotely. Lace was familiar with Dark Mirrors why? But he did keep his sword in its holster, and with a grumbling growl, turned a bit to pull Lace from the holster to hold onto her in his arms. If she wasn't going to stay down in it, then he wasn't going to risk her falling out in that wind. "We'll need to find a better place with shelter if you want to be down on the ground," he told her simply, not wanting to deal with an argument on that.
He didn't even try to look less intimidating as he began to approach the much, much smaller senshi, though he did force his scowl to ease up and take on a more neutral expression. She was looking for Lace, and likely, Lace would be upset if he didn't at least... converse. Plus she'd likely be further upset if he just carried her the hell out of there.
But he did keep going till he was a respectful distance away from Sadalsuud, positioning himself to take the brunt of the wind so the much smaller two might not be wiped around as much. "Not a good night to be out looking for anyone."

As Lace was lifted from the holster, she did her best to comfort her human agent, licking his fingertips so that he wasn't nervous or tense dealing with a senshi! She knew he didn't like them a lot, and that didn't bother her because Seraphanite was rightly deserved in not liking them. She also knew that by asking him not to attack, she was asking a lot and she was grateful when he didn't.
"Hi Sadalsuud!" The kitten shivered even though Sera was taking the brunt of the wind. It was thrashing them around pretty badly.
At least...it was until there was a sudden pop in the air and it shuddered, the wind automatically dying down. Above them, the aurora popped and hailed down colorful beads. They weren't big enough to do damage, and super pretty.
"I...I don't think I want to be on the ground!" The kitten stayed firmly put in the palms of her agent, and looked at the clover senshi.
"Seraphanite, this is one of my senshi friends! She is Sadalsuud! Of the clovers!!" She smiled up at the agent and wanted him to be proud of her. "I helped awaken her and her name!!" She would smile if she could. "How come...how come you were looking for me Sadalsuud??"

Sadalsuud was intimidated, something that showed in the nervous way in which she nibbled on her lower lip as the taller man approached.
Not that it was hard to be intimidated what with the other's outfit which was starting to look a lot like armour as he approached or the general air of unfriendliness that he was giving off–
But Miss Kitten was with him, which counted for a lot in Sadalsuud's book because whilst her path didn't cross that often with the kitten that had helped her become Sadalsuud in the first place, she truly did adore the small black cat.
It also counted for a lot that the other's aura, whilst not one that she was familiar with, did not feel like an Order aura.
She looked up at the taller man at his comment about the night not being a good night to be out looking for someone "True" she agreed "But I don't see Miss Kitten very often and so I wanted to try" her gaze shifted downwards, her words now for the small black cat in his arms as she continued "I brought a present for you Miss Kitten - for Christmas."
She started to reach down for the small bag that she had tied to her waist under her overlay "It's not..."
Her voice trailed off startled as something dropped from the sky, something small and colourful.
"What?" Her head tilted up in confusion, her green eyes widening as she realised that the sky appeared to be raining beads.
Small colourful, marble-sized beads.
