Very sorry for the wait, everyone, but worry no more! Your winter event is here! All of the characters of RWBY: Simple Souls are preparing for a massive snowball fight, and yours can too! All you have to do is post below saying so! There will be ten contestants in each round, and you're free to join however many rounds you'd like. The more you join, the more chance to win! When you request to join, please state which character you'd like to use. Based on your character, a Crew Member will assign you a "feat" that will affect your rolls. Continue reading below for the basic rules and guidelines of the snowball fight as well as prizes and other giveaways we'll be having! Oh, what fun!
THE BASICS: Each rounds will have ten character contestants. Yes, you can join a round with multiple characters. You'll simply have to roll/post separately with them. When you post, roll a d10 with what you'd like your character to do. The Rengato or Weeamoo will quote you with the result. DO NOT POST AGAIN UNTIL YOU'VE BEEN GIVEN YOUR RESULT. We'll have a total of four "rule keepers" at this event. To request a spot as a rule keeper, please PM Weeamoo almost typed Living Eternally there. The characters/Members that volunteer for this position will be stalking around the forest and outside to make sure everyone is following the rules. At the beginning of each tournament, all four moderators will be outside at a tent where hot chocolate is being served and any wounds will be tended to. This is also where the prizes are held. Three of the moderators can be added to the tournament. While they cannot win, they can certainly disqualify contestants via snow. Hitting any of the rule keepers is instant disqualification. ROLLING: When you post, roll a 10-sided dice and quote the username of the person you want to interact with. This person will become your target. ONLY CHOOSE FROM THE PEOPLE PARTICIPATING IN THE TOURNAMENT. It's very easy to gang up on opponents this way, so make sure you choose wisely. Here is how rolling will work: ❖ 1 - VOLUNTEER ADDED. Ones are horrible numbers to roll. DON'T ROLL ONE TWICE. The first time you roll a one, one of our volunteers will be added to the tournament. Volunteers cannot win the tournament, but they can certainly kick you out of it. If you roll a one twice, it means certain death. If you roll a your first time, and all of the volunteers are out stalking, well, you've got terrible luck. ❖ 2-4 - Not so good. You're likely to be found or shot by your predator with these sorts of rolls. Forces or nature may also work against you. The lower/higher the roll in this category, the effects differ. ❖ 5 - Static. You're just kinda...stuck ❖ 6-9 - Good things. You're likely to find your prey or a good hiding spot to snipe from. Either way, luck's on your side. The lower/higher the roll in this category, the effects differ. ❖ INSTA-KILL. If you roll a ten, you're able to shoot your prey. Congratulations! You've knocked someone out of the competition! There are no defensive rolls, only offensive. Hope you've got good luck! ❖ Note: If the rolling between you and your prey are vastly different, you'll find at hit them in no time. Bad things while they're hunting=good things while you're hunting. FEATS: Due to each character having something special about them, they have access to a certain FEAT. Feats will be created and given by either Rengato or myself. It will essentially be a dumbed-down version of a part of your character to help effect your rolls/chances in the fight. These are us being nice, so don't get too hung up on them.
TOURNAMENT ONE Grand Prize: Choice of "Prize Box" Volunteers: Stella Nila, Lyon Garnet, Sage Tempest, and Velvet Scarlatina Active Volunteers: None
PRIZE BOXES Winners of each tournament will be able to choose one of these prize boxes. Each box will contain a gold total of 1bil or higher. This will continue until I run out of items.
Armory Box Prizes contained in this box will include weapons and armor
Hot Cocoa Box Prizes contained in this box will be warm-colored and have a general "soft and fuzzy" theme to them
Ice Cold Box Prizes contained in this box will be cool-colored and have a "cold and brittle" theme to them
MVP Award: White Fang At the end of the event, Rengato and Weeamoo will choose an MVP. This is the contestant that could either do the best roll-wise, stick to the rules and the rp the best, or is simply active the most in the thread. Our Winter Event's MVP will receive the item White Fang graciously donated by thirtyspacechickens-go. Good luck to all contestants!

SECRET SANTA
The RWBY characters are in charge of Secret Santa this year, and that means gifts for you from them! The first post on every five pages will receive a Secret Santa gift from a RWBY character! Of course, these will be totally anonymous as Secret Santa often is. For anyone who's never been a part of Secret Santa before, it basically just means anon gifting! Huzzah! Everyone, we still need one more character volunteer for the event! If anyone's up for it, please ask! I would suggest, however, that if you only have one character to not apply as you will not be able to participate in the snowball fight normally that way.

Stella Nila's Feat: Blackout If a character is to hit you, there is a 50% chance that they will miss. When prompted, roll a d10. If it's evens, you do not get hit. If odds, then you are hit. This feat is based on Stella Nila's semblance.
Is what I would like to say... HOWEVER, Stella's a volunteer and as such shouldn't be targeted for rolls anyway. It's no use to have a defensive feat as an offensive participant, SO: Stella Nila's Feat: Faunus Heritage Due to Stella's faunus heritage, she has both enhanced hearing and night vision. With this increase to perception, all rolls for finding your target have a +1 bonus. This is based on Stella Nila's race.

Sage Tempest's Feat: Weighted Ammo Even packed snowballs have a strange weight to them. Sage can use his semblance to make them a little more comfortable to throw. You get +1 to all throwing rolls. This feat is based on Sage Tempest's semblance.

Lukas Litr's Feat: Battle Fury You get a +2 on all attack rolls; however, those hunting Lukas will gain a +1 on their attack rolls for hitting him. This feat is based on Lukas Litr's semblance.
