Quote: Caroling has been a tradition for years, so it’s really no surprise when you hear a soft chorus from outside. What is a surprise is the fact that it’s three in the morning, and the moment they start singing you feel a chill in the air. It’s a song you’ve heard a hundred times before, but something about this version makes you go cold. If you move to the window, you will find no carolers, but the song is loud enough that you know you should be able to see them. They sing one song, and then there is silence. An eerie chill lingers, and your dreams are haunted by strange voices. You’ll probably never be able to hear that song again without feeling a chill. Michiko was meeting up with Jason to go caroling, she headed out to meet up with him and then back to her area so they could go caroling together, then back to her house for hot chocolate and perhaps baking or something. She had set up one of the guest rooms in the house so Jason could spend the night with her without it being weird. She intended to sing hiding behind Jason since she was too shy to sing where others could easily see her. She was dressed warmly and looking forward to spending some time with a friend. Toby and Jason had both been to Michi's house before, she missed Toby and hoped he was well. Which brought to mind her need to go shopping for Christmas presents.

Jason called back to his brother before he went out the door, heading out to meet with Michiko. Another Christmas and yet he and his brother had decided to stay here instead of going back to their parents. Their parents of course, had insisted they come, and they had tried, but it seemed that as soon as they wanted, all of the planes were having delays and the rest of the country experiencing snow storms. Eventually they all decided it would be best if the two brothers just decided to stay in town, and Jason would be staying with Tom. So, when Michiko had invited him to go caroling, Jason accepted, even if he wasn't much of a singer. Luckily he had a nice, warm hooded coat on and gloves with some good boots, so in case they were out for too long, he wouldn't be that cold. Hopefully. Honestly he wished that he could transform into Alphubel, but that would just attract unwanted attention, and could possibly get any of their fellow carolers hurt. He rounded the corner, and saw a familiar, bundled-up figure approaching, and he waved towards her. "Hey Michiko!" He said enthusiastically, hoping he wouldn't scare her and cause her to fall over.

Michiko jumped and then smiled at Jason she was so glad to see him, she wasn't too bad at singing but she really wanted to do this because she didn't want to spend any more time alone on this holiday it was depressing. It made her a little mad that her parents kept picking work over her. The money she had access too didn't help since what she wanted was her family, not money. She brushed that aside and went to Jason. "Ready to go do some singing?" She asked in a light tone. She looked around at the other carolers on the sidewalk she hoped nothing strange would happen on their trip.

Good, didn't startle her. He thought as he got closer to her. He still wasn't sure if he wanted to do this, but it couldn't be too bad if he was with a friend, right? Maybe they could laugh about it later if they were truly terrible. He nodded at her question. "Yep! Or at least as ready as I'll ever be. Hopefully we won't get sore throats after this!" That would be bad, he hated those, and it meant that it might lead to an unwanted cold, which he could then spread. Not good. At least it wasn't too cold or icy outside, so hopefully none of them would trip at least if the sidewalks were cleared enough. At least she had offered for him to stay the night! He wasn't sure how late they would be, but he had told his brother that he might not be back and would be staying at a friends place.

Michiko smiled at Jason and nodded she hoped the same she didn't want a sore throat either. She went along with Jason singing at each of the different houses and getting treats till it started to get late. She yawned after they finished their last song and turned to Jason and said "Umm ready to head back to my house Jason? I can make us some hot cocoa and you can stay in one of the guest rooms if you don't want to head home just yet." She offered hopefully since she didn't want to be alone that night. If for some reason her parents never came home she was going to get a roommate because this living by herself was depressing. She was tired of the perfectly quiet house with it's lonely lovely walls and no family to share it with. She was the kind of girl who wanted her family there. She wasn't going to throw a wild party just because her parents weren't home.

Jason could barely walk anymore. They had been out for hours and he was tired! And needed some good chamomile tea or something for his poor throat! It wasn't too sore, but sore enough to where he didn't think he could do one more song. Luckily, it seemed like the last one had been it, and Michiko suggested that they go back to her house. He nodded a bit too enthusiastically. "Yes" Oh great, he was starting to sound hoarse now. He tried to fix it a bit. "I mean, yes. I would love to and thanks so much for letting me stay." Sure, he could have gone back to his brother's apartment, but that was just so far away now that he probably would have collapsed in the hallway. He tested out all of his limbs and digits, just to make sure he could feel everything, before heading back with her to her house. From what he could tell, her parents were rarely, if ever there. He only knew half of what that felt like. With his mother being a famous singer, she was rarely at their parents house anymore, but their dad managed to make it every night, mostly because he was quite employee-oriented at his company and refused to force people to work overtime.

Michiko smiled she didn't mind that Jason was excited to get out of the cold they had been out singing for a long time and it would be good to go back to her house have some tea or hot cocoa and cookies. Then go to bed. So she took Jason back to her house the guest room only a door away from her bedroom was already clean with fresh sheets and blankets. She smiled and offered her guest some drink and snacks before they turned in for the night.

Jason felt so much better once they had gone back to her house. He accepted her offer of tea and cookies, and they chatted for a bit, before they both went to bed, with Jason practically collapsing onto the bed, barely getting out of his boots and other winter clothing before falling asleep. Some time later, he started to wake up, although pretty groggily. He could swear he was hearing... something. He looked at his clock on his phone, and realized that it was 3AM. He groaned, trying to go back to sleep, and buried his head in the pillow. But, the weird sound wasn't going away. And it sounded like... someone singing? And badly at that. He let out a huff, before getting up from the bed, trying to tell where it was coming from. It didn't sound like it was coming from inside or from Michiko's room, which made it even weirder. Was there someone out on the street singing? He went into the living room where they had been talking earlier that night, to see if Michiko was up and if she could hear it also.

Michiko got out of bed when she heard the strange music and someone moving around in the hallway. She frowned and got up rubbing her eyes as she went. "Jason?" she said in a sleepy tone "What's going on?" She moved to the window in the hallway and looked down into the street below in her neighborhood. It was so early in the morning who would be singing at this hour?? She looked but didn't see anyone. She shivered a creepy feeling coming over her. "Umm." She said softly. Frightened and glad she wasn't alone.

"It's just me in here Michiko!" He said, trying not to startle her. At least she was awake, which meant that she heard it too. He watched her as she looked at the window and into the street below. "You see anyone Michiko?" He asked, going to the window with her, but from what he could tell, there was no one there. He felt a chill go down his spine, and he wasn't sure if it was because he suddenly felt cold, or because of the creepy singing. "I... think we better just go back to bed. It was probably nothing." Or at least he hoped so. He hated to think that they would suddenly be attacked by some creature in here, but with youma it was a real possibility, but still a small one. Though, in the back of his head, he still had doubts. But, sleep was wanting to take over again, and he patted Michiko on the shoulder, trying to reassure her, before he went back to the bed and almost immediately fell asleep once again, though he could swear in the morning that he heard the voices in his dream. No more caroling for him! Midnightglow18 If you want to post one more time to end it, I think we'll be good! Thanks for the rp!

She let out a sigh "Oh good." She said softly "I hope you are right." She couldn't help but wonder if it was a youma out there, but as long as they were only singing in a creepy fashion it was of no harm. "Ok, thank you for staying over Jason." She said softly before going back to bed. (Looks good to me thanks Bro ^_^ )
