Have you ever had that feeling that life was moving a little too quickly? Have you been caught unready several times by the changes the world gives you? If only you had enough time and a warning, you would be fine with it? These thoughts plagued Teresa's mind as she waited at the bus stop.
It seemed only yesterday that she was in highschool. She could still remember those days of talking at the lockers in the hallways before class started. She remembered the constant gossip and peer pressure that put many students into laughable shenanigans. Most importantly, she remembered the friends she had. Though now it's been a long time since those days have passed. She hasn't seen those friends for too long. She's in college now, a place where many of her peers diverged from her. Unlike them, Teresa isn't going to a government-funded establishment in order to spend the rest of her life skill-less and underpaid. No, she is going to a private college. She was going to make the best future she could for herself, even if it meant saying goodbye to those she once attached herself to.
So here she was, standing at the sidewalk in her school uniform. It was a black vest with a skirt and long, white stockings. Her world looked so monochrome in these, as if clothing could determine your perception of reality. Or perhaps it was just the immense grayness of city life. She always thought the place could use a little more colour. If given the power, she would take a brush, a palette, and literally paint the town.
Finally, the bus had arrived. She was greeted by a balding old man with a moustache. As he asked for bus fare, she took a moment to study his clothing. A blue bus driver's shirt, and a pair of denim jeans of a slightly lighter shade. Blue was a good colour, but clothes like those made it look completely dull, an unappetizing pigment to wear.
She had taken her seat after having paid the driver some cash from her purse. It was a private bus that one had to subscribe to, and call in advance to schedule trips on. Because of it, there usually weren't that many people on it. Most people preferred state-funded buses, but her family weren't those kind of people.
Teresa opened up a magazine, something fun to read while waiting for her arrival. Though she had read this issue several times over, it was still a fun time-waster that never ceased to entertain her. This quarterly subscription of funny cartoons was a way of escapism, a way of temporarily leaving her pale world for the colourful world of slapstick and gags. One of her favorite comics had to be about the one where a group of young women work together to stop crime. They always had new outfits in every issue, so the cartoonists didn't have to draw the same thing every time. And she had to admit, they were rather beautiful. She'd want to wear clothes like theirs.
When finally the bus had stopped, she put the magazine back into her backpack. It was time for her to depart. She left the bus, while making sure to give the driver a casual goodbye.
This was her place of education: St. Sharon's Private Academy. She knew many positive stories from this prestigious place, and she always felt inspired to achieve more when she saw that name above the front double doors on the building. Today was going to be a great day, she assured herself. But until then, she had time to spare. Her class didn't start until a little while, so she was going to wait for her boyfriend to arrive.

"Great! Then we should be there no problem!" She began walking away towards the front door, waving with her exit. "See ya tonight!" Personally, Teresa was ecstatic about the event. It was the perfect place to go with Ashley. Though in the back of her mind, there was one small worry. She just shook it out to assure herself that all was going to go perfectly tonight.
***
By the time she had reached her destination, Lockstep Hill, the daylight sky had diminished into orange. Teresa had come after the classes in such a hurry that she had yet to change out of her school uniform. Of course, many partygoers didn't mind, as quite a few had come without changing as well. Whatever she wore, she'd fit right in.
The place was a small forest atop a large, grassy hill. Several abandoned mobile homes had been parked against the trees for what seemed to be decades. As long as Teresa's heard of this place, the trailers had always been included. According to the stories, college students from all over the region come here to party on select dates. When they take place is usually spread word-of-mouth among the gossipers. In this secluded area, parents and school faculty are completely unaware of their doings, which makes a great place to conceal bad actions. The phrase is usually, "What happens in the trees stays in the trees."
Of course, the place didn't seem the most moral. With freedom from authority, several scantily clad young women were going around to kiss as many boys as they could. Some students were getting drunk, which is fine for most, but a few were definitely under the legal American drinking age. Some had been trying illegal substances that would do a lot more than get them expelled from school. And to say the least, she heard a lot of pleasured moaning coming from inside those trailers.
Teresa may have known about this place, but she never thought she'd be here. Now that she was here, she was regretting it. Surely, she shouldn't make a terrible choice here, lest it haunt her the rest of her life. What more? Her own boyfriend would be dragged into it as well. How would that affect their otherwise perfect relationship? Surely, she should just tell him this is all a mistake as soon as he arrives. It would be terrible to partake in such degeneracy.
Her heart raced, not only with fear, but with... excitement. She had never lost control before. She had to admit, she was a bit curious of what sin tasted like. Why did it lure the hearts of so many youths? She just had to know. Of course, she may regret learning it, but she may also regret never knowing. What would be wrong with giving it a little try? She'd just try to make sure not to go overboard, right? The slope can't be that slippery, just to go down a little.
Now she was unsure. She wanted it, yet she did not. How was she to decide? Surely, she needed a second opinion. Perhaps she should wait for Ashley to come. With his arrival, maybe that will decide the "yes" or "no" for her.

Do what the others are doing.
Ashley had a point. This wasn't a formal party. Of all places, this was the notorious Lockstep Hill. She looked at the dance techniques the other females were doing in the area. If their mothers saw them now, they would be crying to know their daughters knew such ways. These are the dances to be done at this area.
Her breath froze from within her lungs for a brief second. She almost couldn't believe this was happening. Then, she just cut loose...
All through that afternoon, Teresa and Ashley had completely given up their control. They partook in pleasures they were once only warned against. At first, it felt rather wrong, but nobody was judging them here. Nobody was here to tell them what they were doing was risky or immoral. It was liberating. For this one event, they were the beasts, seeking ultimate pleasure above all else.
The party went on through nightfall. A bonfire in the center illuminated them, turning the scene reddish, while the rest was black. Teresa was laying down inside the trailer, her undressed body only concealed by a flimsy sheet while she was sprawled on the floor. Ashley, in a similar state, lay beside her. As she gazed out the window to eye the fire, she smiled to herself. This was the most fun she had in a long time. At last, she found a place full of colour, even if it was only red.
***
A blinding ray of white struck her eyes the following morning. Disturbed from her sleep, she rose from the floor to dress herself. Her head was throbbing from a mixture of sleep deprivation and a hangover. It was almost too hard to believe that what happened last night wasn't a mere dream.
She emerged from the trailer once fully clothed. The vast majority of students were gone, with the few remaining still asleep. Her nose was disgusted when she realized what liquid some of the males used to put out the fire.
Then, came the regret. She shuddered. Her eyes widened as her pupils shrank. It only occurred to her truly that what she did was wrong. It was shameful of her to have attended such a debaucherous party. Though she could not take back what was already done. She simply hoped that such a night was insignificant to her life, and wouldn't negatively impact her in the future.
