Slavery is the term used for the act of enslaving another person against their will, forcing them to work for their "master" and treat them like property of their "master" instead of a normal person.

Within the One Piece world Slavery is common place Celestial Dragons are the primary consumers of slaves, which in turn trickles down to the rest of the world.

It is now "fashionable" to own slaves, becoming a status symbol the more slaves one owns the richer they appear to everyone else around them.

There is not a single race exempt from slavery. What constitutes one becoming a slave is usually being on the wrong side of the world governments favor.

Slaves are usually bought at illegal auction houses, as the World Government denies it's participation in the slave trade. Auction houses are scattered through out the world in discreet locations.

Slaves allow access for RPC's to customize their NPC followers, The cost of slaves varies via the race and abilities of your choice of NPC.
