It’s the end of the year and we are knee deep in Holiday mayhem—and that means it’s time for a little fun!
This year we've prepared some RPs and prompts that everyone will be able to participate in! More information can be found in the Ticket Opportunities list in the next post! Even if you're not interested in any of our super cool prizes, we hope a little roleplay might be enough to get everyone involved!
Roleplay opportunities will only be open from now until ~9pm EST on January 4th. The raffle will be rolled after a ticket list is compiled and winners will have 72 hours to contact the shop mule, The Space Cauldron, with their preference list. Anyone who does not respond within 72 hours will forfeit their slot.
The majority of these events will be designed specifically with civilians in mind, so players with no characters, and players who only have non-human characters (such as Guardian Cats or Youma), are allowed to play a disposable. Please see our information on disposables a few posts down!

Ticket Opportunities
Tickets can only be earned through Holiday Event Roleplays or Event Prompts, so you must be active in the shop if you are interested in participating in the raffle! Each roleplay will have specific instructions, so please make sure to read the rules when you are signing up! The shop will be hosting both events/ORPs as well as putting up prompts. Links to all the events will be kept in this post, and all prompts will be listed here as well! To claim a ticket, you will need to fill out the following code and post it in this thread! I AM CLAIMING A TICKET Link to thread: [link to the thread you are claiming for; if you are responding to a prompt, make sure you indicate which prompt you are responding to either in this form or the thread!] Events/ORPsWhile each shop run ORP will have its own rules, a few general things are important to keep in mind! While players can include as many of their official characters as they want, you can only earn one raffle ticket per link. This means, regardless of how many characters you play, you can only earn one raffle ticket. All events will be run for civilians only, so there will be no powering up! To earn a raffle ticket, you must write at least 500 words, though if you have multiple characters this can be spread out across them. Open Events:N/A Closed Events:N/A PromptsEach Prompt may only be counted towards a raffle ticket once per player. This means that if you respond to the same prompt with multiple characters, only the first one will count for a raffle ticket. We will make a small announcement any time a new prompt is put up, so check back here regularly to see if there's anything new you are interested in writing! All prompt responses must be posted in the Mini-Event subforum and can be written as a solo, a regular, or a battle (if applicable!). These should be labelled [Holiday-S], [Holiday-R], or [Holiday-B]. If you roleplay a disposable, these will not count towards any growth requirements for them, but if you are roleplaying with someone who has a disposable, it can still count for growth for your official character. More information on disposables can be found in the next post! To receive a raffle ticket for a prompt, you must write at least five hundred words and should include the prompt either in your first post or in the code you post in this thread to claim a ticket. The roleplay does not have to be finished in order to claim a ticket, but it will need to be finished before it can be used for growth requirements. While these events are written so that you only need a civilian to participate, you can play a powered character if it seems feasible! Current Prompts:Quote: This time of year, snow is common. What’s uncommon is the single, strange snowfall that glistened like tiny diamonds. Everything about the snow seemed normal—it’s cold, wet, and melts just like any other snow, it just also happens to look like tiny little gems are falling from the sky. Depending on who you’re with, it’s either incredibly strange, or incredibly romantic. Quote: Who knew fruit cake could be so good? A local bakery claims to have perfected their recipe and is giving away free samples. The good news? It’s delicious. The bad news? A few hours after ingestion, something strange kicks in. Suddenly, everything seems so colorful and bright. The music sounds so much better, everything tastes so much better—and then, it stops, and everything is an awful blend of everything. Lights are too bright, smells and tastes are overwhelming, music sounds like noise. You’re sick enough to throw up everything in your stomach—which is good, because within a few hours of that you finally start to feel normal again. Quote: The power’s out! On a cold day like today this is the absolute last thing you needed. But, despite how beautiful that ice on the wires is, it does not make for a friendly day filled with warmth and electronics! But, there should be trucks coming out soon to fix the issues, how do you cope with the slowly creeping chill? Are you the type to snuggle up with someone you care about and huddle down to keep warm? Or are you the type to get the heck out until it’s warm enough to once more inhabit your dwelling? Quote: At long last, your Holiday shopping is complete! Every last person is checked off the list, and you have time to spare. Maybe you deserve something a little extra special, too? Or is there someone you suddenly remembered? Are you just imagining that you’re done? What if you actually haven’t gotten everything finished? This time of year is always so stressful—how are you handling shopping at all? Quote: The line for Santa is miles long and doesn’t seem to be moving. At the front, it appears there isn’t enough help to keep everything running smoothly. Suddenly you are tapped on the shoulder and turn around to find a woman dressed as an elf looking at you with panic in her eyes. “There you are! Where have you been? Why aren’t you dressed? Hurry up! We need more hands up there!” It appears she has mistaken you for one of the missing elves. Do you go along with it? Set her straight? Quote: Your Christmas cookies turned out great for once! There was no burning or dropping of the batter and now you have dozens of cookies just waiting to be eaten or given out as gifts. However, as you leave the cookies to cool and go about your business, the smell of gingerbread seems to follow you, no matter if you made gingerbread cookies or not. A strange feeling as though someone is watching you takes over and from time to time you swear that you can hear a strange little voice saying the same thing over and over. “You can’t catch me”. The feeling passes after a few hours, but it might be best to avoid gingerbread for the rest of the holiday season…just in case. Quote: Caroling has been a tradition for years, so it’s really no surprise when you hear a soft chorus from outside. What is a surprise is the fact that it’s three in the morning, and the moment they start singing you feel a chill in the air. It’s a song you’ve heard a hundred times before, but something about this version makes you go cold. If you move to the window, you will find no carolers, but the song is loud enough that you know you should be able to see them. They sing one song, and then there is silence. An eerie chill lingers, and your dreams are haunted by strange voices. You’ll probably never be able to hear that song again without feeling a chill. Quote: Heavy snow had plagued Destiny City for a few days and it seemed to take ages for the clouds to clear. When they finally thinned, there was something more surprising than just the night sky: a glorious display of colorful light danced over Destiny City. A myriad of colors paint the sky, twisting colorfully. Auroras are uncommon in this area, but it’s something unique to see. Of course, ‘unique’ in Destiny City isn’t always a good thing… Quote: If you were suspicious about the aurora that started up a few days ago, it seems like you have good reason to be. Ever since they began, no one seems to be able to get a good night’s sleep. Fatigue is setting across the town, making people a little extra cranky. It’s a complete downer to the holiday cheer but no one seems to know what to do. There’s no sign that there’s anything supernatural about the aurora, but there’s certainly something odd about it. People lucky enough to even fall asleep only get to rest for a few moments before they are violently jostled awake by the sensation of falling through a rainbow of colors. Some worse off may suffer from the sensation of drowning beneath strange, rainbow colored water. People are passing out from fatigue and some people are suffering from strange vertigo. There doesn’t seem to be an end in sight. Quote: On the fourth night of the aurora, it changes from dancing lights to a strange, swirling maelstrom. A cold wind picks up, swirling wildly. Near midnight, the wind is strong enough to topple lighter bushes and knock branches from trees. No major damage has been done, but it is still a storm no one wants to be out in. Suddenly, the colors in the sky seem to explode. A distant echo, like thunder, rolls through the town. The aurora is gone, and so is its strange spell. The only thing that lingers are the small, colorful beads that fall from the sky like hail. They sparkle in all colors of the aurora and are never any larger than a marble. Most of them seem safe, but if you hold too many at one time you are met with the same sleepless affliction the town was suffering under the aurora. Quote: Ice and snow? Fine. Hail? Slightly less fine. Large, icicle-like shards of ice falling from the sky? Horrifying. For no apparent reason, Destiny City is plagued with another strange phenomenon, only this one can strike at any time. The icicles plummet from the sky with no warning, regardless of a clear or cloudy sky. The spikes range in size from a few inches up to two feet. Sometimes only one might fall, or sometimes a torrent of them, but they never fall far longer than a minute at a time. So far, injuries and damage have been reported across the city. How are you faring? Quote: The New Year is nearly upon you; all around town, people are buzzing with excitement. Sales are aplenty and among some of the better deals is a popular new brand of champagne. The drink’s been getting a lot of attention and very good reviews; it boasts a guarantee for a magical evening. It’s a promise that holds true—sort of. Anyone who imbibes the champagne will be extremely in tune to their more romantic feelings. They may feel more open, more daring, or more flirtatious towards the object of their affections. Or, maybe a glass of it is enough to make them realize they have feelings for someone…Either way, after ingesting the champagne, romance is all you can think about. The effects last for only a few hours, so you’d better use that time well. The bottles are out of stock quickly, so you are lucky to have gotten your hands on one. Lucky, unless you made a fool of yourself in your romantic haze… Quote: The holidays are close to ending and it’s time to start packing away your decorations. In a stroke of bad luck, you drop an ornament (or other small bauble) and it shatters. Inside was a strange, glistening dust that you accidentally inhale. You are immediately met with a strong hallucination of a previous holiday memory. It only lasts for a few moments, but it feels like you are back in the memory, reliving it. It seems so real but when it ends, you are back in the present with no trace of the dust left in sight. Which holiday memory did you relive, and how do you react to being torn from it? (You can only relive a memory from a holiday in December and it must be from this lifetime. Characters who have lost civilian memories, such as in a side swap, will have a much vaguer memory. Locations and faces will be blurred and unrecognizable, and the memory will not reveal anything about their previous life. These characters may be left feeling a little hollow after the memory. Quote: One day, in the very early morning hours, a strange, bluish fog rolls in. It floats low to the ground and is incredibly dense and incredibly cold. Anyone who inhales even a single breath from this fog will be met with a sudden, harsh sensation of sadness. It’s the worst part of the holidays—the Holiday Blues. The fog slowly spreads through the town and is gone by mid afternoon, but the sensation of sadness, loneliness, and nostalgia may linger for longer than that. Scientists are explaining the bluish tint as just being a natural phenomenon, but in Destiny City, ‘natural’ isn’t really something anyone should expect. Today would have been a good day to stay inside. Quote: With each passing year, you accumulate more stuff. Your new holiday gifts have been put out, but now is the perfect time to make some extra space and purge your old belongings. Donation centers are bustling but there’s never a bad time to give to the needy. Going through your belongings, you may find any number of things. Something you thought was lost? Or just a bad case of nostalgia? Now is a good time to reflect on what is important to you—and maybe actually find some things you can part with.

Disposables
If you don't have a character in the shop yet, that's okay! Players may use a quest character or a character they create on the spot to participate in event only roleplays and prompts. You can only roleplay your character in the Mini-Event subforum. When setting up a new thread, you must put an asterisk next to your character's name to indicate that they are not officially won. For example, you might write a solo based off of a prompt and it would be titled [Event Solo] Title [Name*]. If you are participating in an ORP, the rules may be different so please read each thread accordingly!
If you are a new member of the shop and do not have a character in the shop and want to respond to a prompt by writing either a solo or roleplay, please fill out the following form and put it in a spoiler in your first post! Even if you have filled it out for other events or threads, you must include this in every new thread you are involved in. Character’s name: Age: Appearance: Personality Traits: (list 2-4 virtues and an equal number of flaws; these can be one word descriptions of each trait and do not need explanation)

Remember, your character must be unawakened and human, and should be a fairly believable character. If you have questions about what might be acceptable, please contact a member of our moderator staff for answers! You can also PM the shop mule The Space Cauldron and we'll get back to you as soon as possible!
If you already have a character in the shop, you should not play a disposable unless all your characters are either unplayable or cannot participate. For example, if you have a character who is currently in the hospital and could not believably be involved in anything, you could play a temporary disposable. If you only have a full-youma and cannot justify them putting on a civilian glamour to participate or the prompts do not in any way relate to them, or if you have a Mauvian who does not have a civilian glamour, you can play a disposable instead--however, you must PM the shop mule to give us a brief explanation as well as provide the character form in your PM. We just want to make sure everything checks out, so this will be a quick approval and is just to make things easier on us!
Playing a disposable in this event does not mean they will die! You can quest for these characters at a later point in time, if you so choose! Remember, if the character has not been officially won and arted, none of your RPs will count towards their growth, but you are still eligible for prizes or RP related rewards! Playing a disposable during this event does not guarantee that you will receive your character, but it's a good opportunity to get your feet wet!

Winning Procedures
After the tickets have been compiled into a list, rolling will begin on sometime January 4th! This will be done publicly, in this thread, and winners will have 72 hours to send a preference list to the shop mule, The Space Cauldron. If a winner does not contact the mule by that time, the they will forfeit their slot and another winner will be rolled! Despite how many tickets you win during this event, you can only be rolled once! If you are rolled, you may give your slot to a friend only if they are not already on the winners list.
If you have questions about claiming tickets or other Raffle procedures, please PM the shop mule and we will get back to you as soon as possible!
