Bronze Illiandinth
Written by Masterharper
Colored by -_Wish of Tevarae_-

User Image

Origin of Name: Illiandinth's name comes from the Icelandic word for demon: illi andinn.

Inspiration: Illiandinth is inspired by the Demon. These tend to be supernatural and often malevolent beings prevalent in religion, occultism, literature, fiction, mythology and folklore. Some say they are harmful spiritual entities that take possession of mortals on the earthly plane, while others believe they can be conjured and controlled.

The Greek conception of a daimon appears in the works of Plato, where it describes the ivine inspiration of Socrates. The original greek word daimon doesn't actually carry the negative connotation we now describe to the term. The Greek terms don't have any connection to evil or malevolence, but instead, early the early Roman Empire turned the daimones into demons, and considered them the troupe of Satan.

In many cases, demons enter the body of a victim and were the source of many diseases. They'd seize the victim, and the only way to cure them of their ailments was to draw out the evil through incantations and talismanic performances. Some regard demons as fallen angels, or descendents from a union between an angel and human. Others regard demons as deities of other gods, or minions of evil entities. Some believe demons are followers of the Christian Satan, while in Islam they believe them to be descenents of Iblis and Afarit.

While some people fear demons, or attempt to exorcise them, others willfully attempt to summon them for knowledge, assistance, or power. The ceremonial magician usually consults a grimoire, which gives the names and abilities of demons as well as detailed instructions for conjuring and controlling them.

In almost all cases, demons are considered powerful and evil creatures. They have the ability to possess humans, cause disease, promote sin, chaos, and bring death and corruption to the world.

Personality: What magnificence, what grace, what a handsome bronze! Illiandinth was born to lead and seems to have been crafted from many a metallic stereotype. There is a sort of majesty in his being, as if he knows that greatness and responsibility has been bestowed upon his shoulders. He is a dragon who carries himself with a regal bearing, to better catch the eye. Oh, Illiandinth needn't make a show of himself, for he already is the best among them all. Like a king among his people, Illiandinth will move among the Weyr as if he already owns them all; and maybe, perhaps, he does. Honestly, though others might look upon him with suspicion, Illiandinth appears to be a good dragon. He could not be called arrogant, he gets along well with dragons from any background, he's clever, bright, and overall a good companion.

He can be quite persuasive and is naturally influential. He is good at convincing others to do things the right way -- also known as his way. If they need help, than Illiandinth will be there encouraging them, and making small suggestions or changes until they succeed in their dreams, and are additionally, unknowingly, molded into the shape Illiandinth desires to create. Honestly, he'd be offended if someone accused him of forcing his will upon others -- they make their own choices, thank you very much, and if they choose to follow him, than so be it. There's no harm in that, even if he suggested many of the changes. He doesn't need to charm or manipulate to get his way -- those in his company might just feel more inclined to listen. Honestly, much of what this clever bronze says and does will make sense. He is happy to have control and responsibility thrust upon him, and will ensure those in his company are happy, and content. You kill more flies with honey than vinegar, or so the saying goes, and Illiandinth believes it. He isn't the sort of bronze to start a fight.... but he might look wounded enough by another's slight to have his loyal following start a war for him.

Illiandinth is a smooth talker, and can get under others skin easily. As he grows he'll have no trouble making others swoon, and will likely have an adoring crowd of friends and lovers. He knows how to make friends with the right people, an will encourage his rider to start getting to know fellow Wingleaders, Weyrleaders, an Council members from a young age. His rider had best look forward to life in the limelight, because Illiandinth has no desire to be a simple Wingrider.

He wants, and craves, power. Part of the bronze is disappointed that he was not clutched in High Reaches, but he will make a name of himself and his rider at Western for now. First the Weyr, then the world.

Despite his regal and dependable nature, Illiandinth keeps his flaws close to the vest. His rider will find out early that this bronze is power-hungry. He isn't simply driven, no, but he lives to control. This bronze knows he is great -- he just needs the world to see it, too. He will quietly judge every interaction he has, either dismissing them as a waste of time, or marking them down as useful to his cause. He will form friendship with those he loathes because it serves his goals, just as he'll cruelly write off those who no longer are found worthy to him. The only one Illiandinth is truly loyal to is his rider, but the rest of the world needn't know that.

Furthermore, his rider will find that this bronze takes pleasure in the pain of others, particularly his enemies. It goes beyond schadenfreude -- Illiandinth is simply a little sadistic. Thread strikes his enemies down? Good. Was their death agonizing and painful? Even better. He is the sort of bronze who would give bad Between coordinates to those who become a thorn in his side, or otherwise stand in his way -- why should their loss be of a concern to him? If it gets them out of his way, all the better for a happy day. This is, of course, an admittance he only allows his rider to know -- and it is a secret he expects them to keep. He must do what he must do to reach the top, and expects his rider to understand. And if sometimes that means inflicting pain, than so be it. Illiandinth's care doesn't extend far beyon himself or his rider -- and that is how it will always be so.

Positive Traits: Majestic, Persistant, Influential
Negative Traits: Sadistic, Power-Hungry, Assertive

Adult Size: 44'
Physical Attributes: Illiandinth is a larger bronze, but not the largest, nor bulging with muscle. While he is a strong creature, there is more elegance and grace to his build than others. He is a beautiful flyer, and seems to be particularly metallic. The sun will easily capture his shine, even when he hasn't been recently oiled. Ever glamorous, his size and proportions are perfect for a bronze, and and he will always cut a striking figure.

If his claws are particularly sharp, and his fangs a bit longer than some, well, he is a predator. Nothing more.

Additional Notes: Illiandinth is close to many of his siblings, though it's all likely superficial at best. He has a mutual love-hate relationship with Akeroth, and any of his power-hungry siblings will find no quarter with him.

Furthermore, he will have a tendency to be overly-bonded with his rider. That is one relationship that Illiandinth needn't feign, and the only one he will allow himself to be entirely sincere.

Theme Song: Wings of a Butterfly by HIM

Why Me? Illiandinth only wanted the best, and Cesare IS the best -- there was no one else out there for him. The bronze appreciates Cesare's suave nature, along with his cunning mind. He knows the Courtesan understands the game that they will be forced to play if they wish to obtain he power they crave. And rest assured, they WILL obtain it. With both rider and dragon willing to do whatever it takes to rise to the top, their course is set -- only time will tell whether these two become great, or destroy themselves in the pursuit of power and influence.

Illiandinth will have no trouble making friends and influencing those around him -- but he will need Cesare's eloquence to ensure they remain, and that the dragon doesn't drive them off with a cruel word or write them off as useless too soon. Illiandinth will not hesitate to keep Cesare on the path to greatness -- he will not let his rider become overshadowed by his father, or let anyone make further attempts on his life. Cesare's diplomacy will be needed to temper his dragon's assertiveness and sadism. They are not beasts, after all, and it will be up to him to keep his dragon's darker nature in check.

These two are kindred spirits, and together, there is nothing they cannot achieve.

Bronze Vedmath
Written by Fated Fable
Colored by Mx Cherie

User Image

Origin of Name: Vedmath is taken from the Slavic Vědmák, the male form of the word for witch. Unlike the warlock, a Vědmák is a heroic figure tasked with protecting mankind. It is from the Vědmák that the Witcher originates. This male magic user stops evil witches in their tracks, and has the power to heal animals, shapeshift, and resist the charms of magical beings. However, like the warlock, they are sometimes linked with the Devil, and in that case they embody all the negative traits that a warlock is said to possess.

Inspiration: Warlock, from the old English wǣrloga, meaning truce-breaker. The word wǣr means pact or oath, whereas loga means liar. However, although the name implies oathbreaker, the warlock is thought to be simply a wizard who draws his power from evil sources. One possible etymology places the origin as the Old Norse varðlokkur, meaning caller of spirits, but this is not a widely accepted theory due to the scarcity of its usage in primary sources. Understandably, male magic users eschew the use of the word warlock, as the name implies that its adherents are in league with the Devil. Many male witches do not believe in the Devil, and those who do may have no desire to hold with his creed.

In the tabletop role-playing game Dungeons and Dragons, the warlock as a class take their power from pacts made with various planar beings. This is a bit of an ironic twist, considering that the word itself essentially means traitor, and establishing a pact with an entity would imply the opposite in a sense. This derivation is likely from the old notion of the origin of a warlock's power, rather than the etymology itself. Of the known pacts a warlock may establish, only the infernal, dark, and gloom pacts seem to be in keeping with archaic definitions. Nevertheless, whether in role-playing games or without, it is clear that the notion of the warlock is married to that of great power.

Personality: This Bronze came into the world with a vengeance, already cognizant of his purpose from day one. That purpose is to take down those who seek to control and subjugate those who look to them for guidance. In other words, he has a vendetta against Gold dragons who use their powers for ill means, although that is not the full breadth and scope of his focus. Here's looking at you, Illiandinth and Strigonth! In particular, he finds most objectionable the abuse of power when another has given their faith and trust.

While he is relentless in his pursuit of these types of evildoers, he is capable of thinking about the here and now. It's just that he has a long game of ridding the world of their filth. He considers it to be his personal responsibility to protect and defend the helpless. There is a certain arrogance in his assumption that those who don't stand up for themselves against the powerful are necessarily helpless, and further that they need his aid. However, he could never be accused of being humble. He is not ashamed of being what and who he is, how could he be? Yet he is not one to take advantage of his position.

Unlike a number of his Bronze brethren, the Warlock is not blind to his own flaws. Nor, indeed, is he so arrogant as to assume himself better than his chromatic siblings. That being said, he is aware of his own worth. His place is absolutely at the fore, or right in the midst of the fray. He knows exactly who within his own clutch have the best interest at heart, and who do not. And as far as he is concerned, those who do not, well, they need to be dealt with. Vedmath is the dragon for the job, because he can walk, talk, eat, and breathe like them, if he so chooses. He runs the risk of becoming too much like the scheming manipulators and darker parties within their ranks.

Vedmath possesses a combination of intuition and wisdom that sometimes gives him the appearance of phenomenal powers. His keen insight allows him to make observations that, at first blush, seem borderline prophetic. However, it is quite clear that he is merely acting on logic and instinct. Long practice at this game has prepared him for success. That does not mean, however, that Vedmath is infallible. He is just as capable of being fooled as the next dragon, and when he does fail to recognize something that by all rights should be obvious, it hits him all the harder. He enjoys being one step ahead of the game, and it pains him to be wrong. However, he is capable of admitting the fault.

At his core, Vedmath is affectionate and warm, utterly devoted to those he seeks to defend. Where his rider is concerned, he might as well be a puppy, for he will follow that person to the ends of the earth. His ambitions stem from a desperate desire to see the good in the world rewarded, and to preserve those who cannot defend themselves against the evil. He is almost unfailingly loyal, and would love nothing more than to be surrounded by a circle of friends who might tend to him just as he will to them. Behind that tough exterior lies a tender heart that yearns to be loved in return.

Positive Traits: Intuitive, Astute, Affectionate
Negative Traits: Vigilante, Lawless, Dependent

Adult Size: 46'
Physical Attributes: An especially large Bronze, Vedmath has soulful eyes, and broad wings. He is a handsome beast, and while it cannot be said that he's unaware of it, he takes greater pride in his considerable strength and the ability to use it to protect those he loves.

Additional Notes: Absolutely despises Illiandinth and everything his fellow Bronze stands for. Not overly fond of Strigonth. He will enjoy flying for its own sake, and may fall a little in love with every lady he chases. Or, in fact, a gentleman or two that he competes against. He does not trust Suwayeth, who hates him in spite of the fact that all he wants to do is to protect. He is friendly with Akeroth, Hessianth, and Helsinth, and quite fond of all within his clutch who need his strong arm.

Theme Song: Rountable Rival by Lindsey Stirling
Why Me? As far as matches go, this one was written in blood. Everything about Dezerac calls to Vedmath, from his mercenary background, to his knowledge and head for tactics, to his willingness to put himself on the line in a time of need. They are honorable warriors together, now and forever. This man is his man, and he loves him with all of his heart. He adores his charm, which he shares in equal measure. Adores his intellect, his spirit. His everything. There is not a list long enough to encompass all about Dezerac that makes him a perfect fit for Vedmath, but together they can rise. Dezerac may be unable to make true friends, but Vedmath is eternally capable of finding them new companions, however friendly they may be. Additionally, the ex-mercenary has much to offer the dragon when it comes to standing on his own two feet.

Bronze Helsinth
Written by Masterharper
Colored by demon_pachabel

User Image

Origin of Name: Helsinth is named after the original Professor Abraham Van Helsing in Bram Stoker's Dracula. He was not, perhaps, the most notorious of hunters, but the name Van Helsing has taken on a personality and life his own. In the book, the doctor utilized many different tools to aid in the defeat of vampires and the undead, as well as to protect himself and his companions. While he might not have had as much flash and charm as modern day hunters in current series, the name Van Helsing will always go down as the destroyer of all things supernatural.

Inspiration: This bronze is based on the supernatural Hunter. They are often a character in folklore and fiction who specialize in finding and destroying vampires and other supernatural creatures. A hunter is usually described as having extensive knowledge of vampires and other monstrous creatures, including their powers and weaknesses, and uses this knowledge to effectively combat them. In many works, hunters are simply humans with more than average knowledge about the occult, while in others they are themselves supernatural beings, having superhuman abilities.

Some popular Hunters are: Abraham Van Helsing in Dracula, Sam and Dean Winchester in Supernatural, The Belmont Clan in Castlevania, Buffy Summers from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Blade from Marvel's Blade Comic, and many more.

Personality: Helsinth might be a smaller sized bronze, but he has an incredibly large personality! The first thing that stands out about him is his protective nature -- he won't hesitate to be the first to stand up and fight against the evils of the world to keep his rider and his loved ones safe. He has a keen hatred for Threadfall, and will desire noting more than to strike it down. It is the greatest threat to Pern, and his rider, and the rest of his clutchmates, had best to take it seriously! Helsinth is the sort of dragon who will train, train, train, and try to ensure that they are best prepared in taking down the evil silver rain. But Thread isn't the only enemy out there. Helsinth doesn't abide a bully, and any dragon that starts picking on those smaller, or of the "wrong" color, will find this bronze at their throat if they're not careful. Helsinth will defend those who can't defend themselves, but there is little room for peace. He is a react first, ask questions later, especially if it is obvious someone needs help.

Helsinth's the sort to easily become obsessed with his duty as a fighting dragon. He will live, breathe, eat, and drink training; he will think of nothing but how to best succeed in destroying The Enemy. While he is all about following the tried and true methods, he's not afraid to try new techniques, either. His rider will need to keep him in line during drills and training because Helsinth won't hesitate to go rogue if he thinks he has a better way.

The ends will always justify the means for Helsinth, particularly when it comes to doing what he feels is right. This is where Helsinth finds himself crossing from "good guy" to "villain" if he's not careful. While there is no doubting that his heart is in the right place, the fact that he will do whatever he must to get the outcome he desires can prove disastrous. What happens when his idea to successfully flame a chunk of thread gets another dragon hurt? What happens when his pushing and threatening of a sibling to achieve some goal results in a loss of trust or friendship? Helsinth's rider had best keep his dragon in check so he doesn't turn into the very monsters he hates!

Helsinth is a strong dragon, and not just physically. He can take a hit, and he will always be able to support his friends and wingmates when they are in need. Trouble will brew when someone he loves is hurt, attacked, or wronged -- Helsinth will personally feel like it his duty to exact justice! He can be quite vindictive, and will hold it against whomever has done him wrong until vengeance has been served.

Positive Traits: Protective, Strong, Crafty
Negative Traits: Vindictive, Machiavellian, Obsessive

Adult Size: 36'
Physical Attributes: Helsinth isn't the largest of bronzes but he's built like a brick. He will always be well muscled, and his smaller size allows him a bit more agility on wing than some of his larger brethren. He has stamina in droves, and a solid flame rate. He works hard and plays hard and will be an asset to any Wing that takes him in.

Additional Notes: He's not as close to Akeroth as one might imagine, though they do often have a similar viewpoint. He absolutely loathes Strigonth and Illiandinth, and won't hesitate to bristle and start fights with them just because he can. He truly believes they never should have hatched in the first place. He is protective of any of his more vulnerable clutch siblings provided they are good.

Theme Song: Carry On My Wayward Son by Kansas

Why Me? Ladellan was the only Candidate perfect for Helsinth, and this little dragon knew it the moment the boy touched his egg! Together, the two of them can save the day, and bring good to all of Pern. Neither of them shall be tainted by the corruption of the world, and Helsinth will ensure that his rider is protected at all times.

Honestly, these two are two peas in a pod! The bronze will enjoy Ladellan's drive to better himself and will be there to push him to become the hero he knows he can be! Should Ladellan doubt himself, Helsinth will not hesitate to encourage him, and remind him of his greatness. On the flip side, Ladellan's reasonable nature will hopefully keep Helsinth from going too far off the deep end with his black-and-white world views. Helsinth doesn't always see the big picture, and can get hung up with his obsessions or distaste for unsavory individuals. Ladellan will be able to keep his dragon in line with a firm hand, and pull him back if he starts showing signs of the villain within.

There is no doubt that these two are destined for great things.

Brown Sarcoth
Written by Masterharper
Colored by demon_pachabel

User Image

Origin of Name: Sarcoth is named after the sarcophagus, which is what many mummy's traditionally depicted as buried in. It comes from the Greek phrase "lithos sarkophagos" which essentially means "flesh-eating stone". There are different types of sarcophagi over the ages from beautifully painted fresnos from Ancient Greece, elaborately carved limestone sarcophagi from Ancient Rome, and of course, the outer shell like sacophagi from Ancient Egyptian times. The sarcophagus fell out of style in more modern times, usually due to limited space.

Inspiration: Sarcoth is based on the horror monster Mummy. Mummies often are under some sort of curse, and are woken from their sarcophagus by someone defiling their tomb, or stealing their treasure. Mummies are often brought to life through curses and spells, such as stolen treasure; they are vulnerable against cold and fire; and tend to have powers such as summoning plagues of insects or sandstorms, immunity against attacks, and draining the life force of their victims.

Personality: Sarcoth is surprisingly intelligent brown. While he might not have the spunk and fire of some of his siblings, he has intelligence in droves. He loves to learn, be it from his siblings, or other dragons, and will likely be quite inquisitive as a hatchling. There is, perhaps, a bit of a pompous air about the dragon; he believes that he is the smartest and most clever dragon in the room, and in some cases he'd be right. Sarcoth's intelligence can make him look down his snout at others, and think himself better than them. If they can't match him wit for wit, then why should he bother wasting time on them? He feels he shouldn't have to spend time with the rabble.

This doesn't often allow the brown to make many friends, but he doesn't mind.
He's far too discerning to care, and most out there aren't worth his time. For the lucky few whom he does have an affinity for, they will find his company to be charming, clever, and engaging. Even to those he doesn't like, Sarcoth is well-spoken and eloquent. He can insult someone right to their face, but they'd never know it; either the words he uses are too large, or they're crafted well enough to sound like a compliment. Just because he is above someone doesn't mean he has to be obviously rude.

Sarcoth is a dragon who thinks himself above being a beast of burden. He could be considered cultured and refined, and likes to have lengthy discussions about history, the arts, and other scholarly pursuits. He'll find wing-drills tedious, and while he will fight Thread, he will find the entire ordeal odious. He'd much rather be buried in the sand and have his rider read him archives, or discuss the latest happenings stirring up the world.

One thing Sarcoth can be is a bit old-fashioned. He does think of himself as better than greens and blues. He honestly thinks he is more intelligent, worth more inch by inch, and that they are nothing more than compliant drone soldiers and thread fodder. Sarcoth will respect golds and bronzes -- they are the proper leaders, and though he sometimes wishes he were bronze, he is content enough that he is in Western. This doesn't spare them from some of his judgments, particularly against unaffiliated metallics, or golds and bronzes who don't bother to vie for power, but he would fall in line as a brown is supposed to do. What he really does not care for is Western's dynamic -- the fact that there are greens and blues and whites giving him orders grates against his own desire for power.

Funny thing about Sarcoth is his hypocrisy. He will judge from afar, but he is too lazy and disinterested to do the actual work required to rise up the ranks. He likes the idea of respect and power an control, but will never do the work required to get there. It's far easier to judge from a distance.

Positive Traits: Intelligent, Cultured, Eloquent
Negative Traits: Colorist, Pompous, Hypocritical

Adult Size: 34'
Physical Attributes: Sarcoth is an average sized brown. He's perhaps on the smaller side of average, but that doesn't get him down! He has long wings, and a long tail, and can fly ever so elegantly once on the wing. He would never admit that his stamina might not be as great as some of the other browns -- his preference not to train and to be idle in his sandy wallow can lead him to being out of shape. He will likely complain to his rider about all the physical exercise he must go through, and if his rider doesn't stand firm, his brown will likely be a bit more round.

Additional Notes: Sarcoth will love to be bundled up in blankets as a hatchling. As he grows, he'll still enjoy burrowing under blankets -- even if it's just his tail -- and will always love to wallow and roll in sand.

He does seem to prefer the company of Aramath & Strigonth... maybe because he out ranks both his friends. As for flights, he'll be picky about who he chases... It'll take someone with both beauty and brains to keep him around longer than one night. He'll also likely pander to all the metallics in his clutch, and try to stay in their good graces.

Theme Song: Oh Lord, It's Hard to Be Humble - Mac Davis

Why Me? Sarcoth knew Gavryl was the one from the moment he touched his shell. While some might wonder why such an arrogant and seemingly power hungry brown would choose socially-awkward Gavryl, well, it only proves they don't know a lick about the brown.

Sarcoth appreciates Gavryl's independent and aloof was. He is not the most social of dragons, and appreciates that his rider tends to stick to himself. Should Gavryl be forced into a social situation, Sarcoth will have no problem encouraging his rider, and of course, helping to craft a more eloquent reply. Gavryl need not feel awkward or unsure -- he is Sarcoth's missing piece, and together, the will make a stunning pair.

Sarcoth appreciates Gavryl's fine taste. While he knows the man's please of such things comes from a place of logic, Sarcoth knows he will benefit from it. The brown's emotions and feelings on matters might be tempered by his rider's cool logic; and Sarcoth might tear down some of Gavryl's anxieties. If the man might not know how to be physical, then Sarcoth will teach him -- he will not hesitate to show his rider his love. There is nothing to fear -- Sarcoth loves Gavryl more than he loves himself, and that's saying something! He will be patient and soothing, and is the one person on Pern Sarcoth would never judge. Gavryl is flawless in his eyes, and he wants nothing more than to share the world with him.

Brown Hessianth
Written by Masterharper
Colored by Masterharper

User Image

Origin of Name: Hessianth's name is derived from the rumored origin of Washington Irving's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Hessians were the 18th century German auxiliaries contracted for military service by the British government. It was thought that the Headless Horseman was once a Hessian Soldier, killed during the Revolutionary War by an American canon. The canon blew his head off on the field, and his body was taken from the area, away from the shattered remains of his head, and buried in the Dutch community of Sleepy Hollow. Every Halloween, this malevolent spirit rises, and haunts the town in search of his missing head.

Inspiration: Hessianth is based on the concept of The Headless Horseman. Usually, these types of spirits are considered a type of faerie, called the dullahan. They are headless, demonic creatures that usually ride a horse, wield a whip from a human spine, and carry their head with the. This sort of motif has been traced back to the middle ages.

In some cases, the Headless Horseman have the power to inflict death on others. In some cases he kills them himself, hoping to wear their head; in others, once he stops riding, he will point to an individual and call out their name, killing them instantly. Some legends have him blow a horn to signal to local hunters not to ride the next day else risk an accident. In Indian Folklore, the Headless Horseman, called a Jhinjhar, is actually looked upon as a heroic figure. They are said to be born out of violent and wrongful deaths that occur while protecting innocents.

The Headless Horseman is thought to be deterred by those who wear gold, or if gold is placed in his path.

Personality: Hessianth is a dragon who is loud and proud, and you can bet he does't give a damn about what you think. He is a brown who has embraced Western's culture, and isn't the sort of dragon to find himself limited by the color of his hide. He will do what he wants, when he wants, and just let Strigonth try to order him around -- it ain't happening. This brown is a very independent creature, who does things his own way. This doesn't necessarily make him a rebel against the rules, provided the rules make sense and go along with his own beliefs -- it also means he's more than happy to work by himself, or take charge as needed.

This can get the brown in trouble when he's in one of his moods. Hessianth is a very strong-willed creature, and he will not be reasoned with when he truly feels strong about something. If he wants to defy his Wingleader's orders, Hessianth won't have any trouble telling them to suck an egg and do something else entirely; if he wants to chase a queen when his wing is strained, then by Faranth he's going to give it his all, and ensure that he wins, wing muscles be damned. If he doesn't like you, you'll know, and he won't fake being friends for his riders sake -- nope. Honestly, Hessianth's rider is the only one who might be able to reason with this brown, and even that might not always come easily.

Hessianth's rider will find that this brown has a healthy streak of dark and somewhat morbid humor. He looks at the world with a smile, it seems, and isn't particularly distressed over death, dying, or other taboo and serious subjects. Life is dreary enough -- the least they can do is laugh at it, right? He's a passionate creature, but one that enjoys a good laugh -- and if it's at someone's expense, so what? He's happy to pick on himself or his rider just as easily as equally as anyone else in the Weyr. While he understands not everyone appreciates his brand of humor, he'll share it willingly, even if he's the only one laughing.

To add fuel to the flame, Hessianth isn't apologetic in the least. If he does something wrong or hurts someone, he's not the sort to feel the need to whimper or roll over with regret. Even if he does regret a past action, he probably isn't going to let anyone but his rider know. He goes through his life not giving much of a damn about who he offends or upsets -- not because he doesn't care, but because he knows that you can't go through life without cutting off a few heads...or at least making a few enemies.

Thankfully, Hessianth is a good dragon, despite some of his jokes, and unapologetic passions. His actions tend toward the honorable side, especially when innocents are involved. That's right, for all who think this loud and dominant brown is a monster, they will find themselves mistaken. In fact, Hessianth is quite a good dragon-- he has a bit of a hero complex, and will stand up on the side of good every time. Saving Pern is something he actually loves to do. Fighting Thread, serving its people, risking his life for the betterment of those who cannot help themselves -- this is what Hessianth was born to do! He's a natural soldier, and won't hesitate to stick up for those who cannot help themselves. Given a chance to pay hero, Hessianth will do so, every time.

Positive Traits: Independent, Passionate, Heroic
Negative Traits: Unapologetic, Unreasonable, Dark Humored

Adult Size: 40'

Physical Attributes: Hessianth is a big brown. He is stocky, and while not particularly tall, he is very strong. He's surprisingly fast on the ground, though his neck might be a bit too short, and his tail a few inches too long. Thankfully, though, he makes up for that with big wings, and a solid stamina. He can keep up with the smaller bronzes easily.

Additional Notes: He tends to find humor in Fantoth's tricks, and is known to egg the blue on; he will also be protective of the more delicate siblings in his clutch. He tends to despise Tinanath and Illiandinth, and will happily sneer at Strigonth. This brown submits to no one, and any gold who forces their will upon him will find his ire.

Hessianth loooooooves head scratches. No matter his mood, this brown will turn into a puddle of goo if his rider scratches his eyeridges or headknobs. The peculiar thing is, he only likes it when his rider does it; with other humans, he will likely not allow them to get anywhere close to his head or face. He says his head is sensitive, and only his rider knows the best spots; mostly, this brown just has hangups and only trusts his rider that close to his face. He'll have no such hangups when it comes to other dragons, and will happily bump his head against his clutch sibs and others, but when it comes people and their pointy fingers, he prefers his riders touch to theirs.

Faranth forbid he ever get a face injury or need a dragonhealer to inspect his mouth.

Theme Song: Centuries by Fall Out Boy

Why Me? Hessianth sees great things in Lennik, and plans on turning them into a powerhouse pair. When Hessianth looks at his rider, he sees all his faults, his flaws, and all his mistakes -- but he accepts each and every one, and believes them to be nothing more than stepping stones towards strength. He'll be the rock Lennik needs when life starts to get him down, and he will remind him of his greatness every day. His rider need not ever feel poorly about himself again, because Hessianth picked the best of them. If Lennik loses his cool or his temper shows, this brown won't judge him -- in fact, he might simply laugh, and encourage him to shrug it off. Where his rider feels guilt, Hessianth is happy to assure him that life goes on -- really, he doesn't have to apologize for anything!

While Hessianth loves his rider exactly as he is, he can appreciate Lennik's desire for personal growth. He knows they both have a long way to go to become great heroes, and he'll encourage the man to reach for the stars. There is nothing they can't accomplish together. What the brown doesn't know is that his rider's need to better himself will likely rub off on him over time. Lennik could well get his dragon to be half-way reasonable, and maybe even apologize without prompting. On the flip-side, where his rider is emotionally reclusive, Hessianth won't have any problem sharing his passions. He feels strongly about everything, and while his rider might be able to temper his darker or more violent feelings, Hessianth might encourage Lennik to really feel.

Brown Aleyath
Written by Masterharper
Colored by demon_pachabel

User Image

Origin of Name: Aleyath's name comes from a type of will-o-wisp that is found over the marshes as observed by Bengalis: the aleya Local fishermen can get lost in the marshes if they attempt to follow the lights, and they are thought to be spirits of past fishermen who drown in the marshes. They are known to sometimes help locals, or in other cases, lead them to their deaths.

Inspiration: Aleyath is based on the Will-o'-the-Wisp. This is considered a sort of atmospheric ghost light witnessed by travelers at night, especially over bogs, swamps, and marshes. It can resemble a flickering lamp, and it will recede if approached, drawing travelers from safety. Many believe that the wisps are fairies or elemental entities bringing travelers to their doom; others believe they are spirits caught between heaven and hell, denied entrance in either, and forced to wander the earth.

The Will-o'-the-Wisp is where Jack o' Lanturns come from! The Irish legends tells of Stingy Jack, who sells his soul to the devil to pay for a pub tab. To get out of the payment when the Devil comes to collect, he tricks the Devil up a tree, and then carves a cross upon it so he cannot climb down. In exchange for removing the cross, the Devil forgives Jack's debt. Upon Jack's death he's not allowed into Heaven -- but Hell also rejects Jack, as revenge. All Jack is given is one coal from Hell to light his path as he wanders the twilight world, where lost souls are condemned. Jack puts the ember in a hollowed turnip, or in later versions, a pumpkin.

There are many different stories and legends concerning Will-o'-the-Wips all over the world. Some think they are lost souls, others believe them markers of buried or hidden treasure, or perhaps even the guardian of the treasure itself; some think they're a marker of impending death.

Personality: Aleyath is a brown that was born for adventure! This brown dragon tends to get bored of the mundane and dull, and would much rather be out there fighting some battle, exploring new places, or even simply stirring up trouble! He's the sort of dragon that gets easily bore when there's nothing to do, and will start stirring up fun simply because he can! His impetuous nature guarantees that slow moments don't stay that way for long -- he'd rather jump head first into the fray than stay stranded on the sidelines. He'll drag his rider along whether the like it or not, so his rider had best be firm if they can tell his decision is a bad one!

And yes, Aleyath is chalk full of bad decisions! The only thing this brown enjoys more than exploring an unbeaten path, is the collection of things! Treasures! If it's sparkly and shiny, or if it looks expensive, you can bet this brown is going to want to investigate. He loves shiny things, and will be a bit of a thief during his hatchling days. If his rider doesn't curb the behavior firmly, then they might well find themselves with a thief! Aleyath can't help it -- he wants to collect the prettiest things and keep them, all to himself. Well, maybe his rider can have some, but that's it! Selfish at heart, this brown tends to think only of himself and his rider. While he's not a mean or cruel dragon, he certainly wouldn't be the first one to stop and help someone in need -- but if his rider insisted, well, okay, fine, if they must. If he thinks he can get something out of it, or it somehow will help him, Aleyath will be more inclined to do the right thing; but if it puts him out and he gets nothing, well, he'll have no problem passing right on by. He looks out for him and his own, thank you -- it's nothing personal, really!

Ultimately, Aleyath is a very amenable dragon. When he isn't out seeking adventure or treasures, he's very go-with-the-flow. He'll roll with just about any interaction, and isn't a particularly temperamental sort. If one of his ideas turns out to get him hurt or in trouble, well, he'll roll with it; if plans change or he's sent to a different Wing, well, that's all well and good by him. His malleable nature is almost a flaw, and paired with his selfishness, he can give others the idea that he doesn't care for anyone but himself and his rider.

It just isn't true, even if it isn't always easy to see. Aleyath is the rogue with a heart of gold, and sometimes, that heart shines through. When the brown decides -- or is convinced -- to be selfless or generous, he can be quite the daring individual. It doesn't happen often, but this brown isn't the sort to truly leave someone in need. He might claim not to see the stranded wagon full of people in trouble, but he would inevitably turn around to rescue them at the last minute; he might not want to stop and look for burrowed Thread, but you can bet he'd be the first to snatch someone from a wrong stop, or imminent danger.

He doesn't always think about himself.... But after every good deed, he does expect some sort of reward.

Positive Traits: Adventurous, Amenable, Daring
Negative Traits: Greedy, Impetuous, Selfish

Adult Size: 35'
Physical Attributes: A quite average sized brown with lovely spots that almost seem to glow. Almost, but not quite. He carries himself with confidence, and walks in a strut.

Additional Notes: This dragon has an eye for things that glitters, and will likely have a fondness for metallics purely for that superficial reason alone. It's not that he looks down on other chromatics, he just loves the sparkle and shine of bronzes and golds. He will be a thief and should any of his fellow weyrlings (or their riders) have something particularly shiny of interest to him, he will not hesitate to find a way to take it. He himself doesn't necessarily want to be decked out in bling -- but he wouldn't mind a stash of it to call his own.

He'll chase anything pretty enough, but will be shallow, and fond of the shiny queens. Heck, even a handsome bronze would do. Maybe one of both. Both is good, after all.

He'll be close to Tinanath, as he can appreciate the blue's ambition, and will happily fawn over the metallics of the clutch. He will enjoy Kiemeth's sense of adventure, and will have nothing but compliments for Seirath.

Theme Song: I Got A Feeling - The Black Eyed Peas

Why Me? Aleyath wanted the cream of the crop, and Oerlen was top of that list. This brown has always had great taste, and there is no one out there for him but this good-hearted man. Perhaps it might seem a strange pair, but Aleyath knows that they will compliment one another well. This brown appreciate's the boy's cocky nature -- by Impressing to Aleyath, he knows he'll only help draw attention to them both.

Aleyath loves that Oerlen was once a guide, and will be keen to be able to fly with him to better explore the planet. While he is dutiful, he's the sort of brown to look forward to rest-days, and has little ambition of rising up the ranks. More responsibility means less time to go on adventures, and such a lifestyle really wouldn't do. Oerlen will be selfless where Aleyath is selfish -- he will need to be firm with his brown, but if he puts his foot down, it's possible his good nature will shape this brown into a daring champion of Pern. For now, though, Oerlen will find his brown will think only of the two of them, but with time, perhaps a happy-medium could be discovered.

Should anyone try to take advantage of his rider, Aleyath will see the signs clearly, and likely drive them off however he must. It takes one to know one, after all, and Aleyath has no intention of letting anyone get the upper hand.

Brown Konvakith
Written by Masterharper
Colored by Smolderingskies

User Image

Origin of Name: Konvakith is named after the Finnish word Kirkonväki, which is a type of hellhound called The Church Grim. While there are many types of Hell Hounds, the Church Grim is considered more of an attendant spirit that lurks and guards churches. In some cases it's considered the spirit of animals sacrifice to the church, or the spirit of the first man buried at the church to protect against Satan.

Inspiration: Konvakith is based after the Hellhound. There are many different types of Hellhound in mythology and legend, with the oldest perhaps being Cerberus, the three headed dog of Hades. Some Hellhounds are considered demonic creatures that terrorize or destroy; others are considered companion spirits, to help bring the dead from one realm to another; others yet are thought of as attendant spirits, such as the Church Grims mentioned above.

Personality: Konvakith is a very quiet dragon. This is a brown that doesn't often talk a lot, and tends to be overwhelmingly aloof and secretive. While his siblings might play, this brown will prefer to settle somewhere quieter, and be content to watch; or, if he is particularly bored, he will have no trouble playing by himself. If too many of his siblings try to join him, he might get overwhelmed, and retreat. He's the sort of dragon who prefers small groups of close friends instead of larger crowds.

Konvakith likes solitude and tends to get a bit aggravated by the constant hustle-and-bustle of the Weyr. He's the sort of dragon who prefers the quiet of night when all are asleep; in fact, some of his favorite tasks will be when he's asked to be a watchdragon. It's a job that's relatively quiet, and can be done alone.

Make no mistake, for being aloof, Konvakith is a very watchful protector. He may not easily be drawn out, but very little escapes his regard. If a dragon looks like it is going to cause trouble to one under his guard, he will not hesitate to snarl, and bristle, and drive them away; if his rider is upset, he will be the first to protect them; if his friends or clutch-sibs are in trouble, he will not hesitate to show his strength. In fact, there are more than a few who watch this dragon warily -- he will not hesitate to bite when push comes to shove. He might not kill a human, but there's nothing stopping him from hurting one if he feels they are truly a threat.

Those who do get this brown to talk will find him rather secretive. He doesn't share secrets, and doesn't share much else about himself. Only his rider is ever given the full picture. When he does open up, consider it an honor, for you are among the select few.

As an adult, his Wingleaders will find him an easy dragon to train and command. He will serve and fight Thread as dutiful as a dragon can. It is another way he can protect his loved ones, and so he will throw himself hard into weyrling training. He may not always like working in a group, but he understands that it is necessary to protect Pern.

Positive Traits: Protective, Watchful, Dutiful
Negative Traits: Secretive, Solitary, Quiet

Adult Size: 38'
Physical Attributes: Konvakith is on the larger side of average. He tends to be a bit leggy -- he has long legs and arms, which make him a bit tall for a dragon; otherwise, he's got a sleek frame, wit a long neck, and a long tail. He's more lithe and limber than stocky, but strong enough to be able to take a solid hit.

Additional Notes: Konvakith will always have a penchant for being scratched behind his headknobs. He approves of Rouenth and Micheth, as they are both quiet protectors. He will always look out for Loreleth, and gets along just fine with Akeroth and Therianth!

Theme Song: King and Lionheart by Of Monsters and Men

Why Me? A dragon that knows so very much about waiting could only be perfect for Roknhin, who can best understand its quiet nature. Although strength draws Konvakith, there is nothing that he wants more than to have someone to protect and love. His reservoir of affection is deep, his determination to guard Roknhin strong. This pair is one of contrasting abilities, and they have the potential to even one another out. Let Roknhin lean against Konvakith, let him trust in the ever faithful Hellhound. In return for that trust, Roknhin will surely afford the baby the opportunity to feel appreciated and wanted, and accepted as only he can.

Blue Strigonth
Written by Masterharper
Colored by Masterharper

User Image

Origin of Name: Strigonth's name comes from the Romanian equialent to a vampire, the strigoi. In one of the first documented cases of alleged vampirism, back in 1689, the term used for the creature was strigon... which later evolved into strigoi. The strigoi is the myth and inspiration behind Bram Stoker's Dracula.

Inspiration: This dragon is based on the Vampire. In European mythology, vampires were undead creatures that often visited their loved ones, and caused mayhem, mischief, and death. Early versions of the vampire were ruddy, covered in shrouds, and generally monstrous beasts. Vampires, or at least vampiric like creatures, show up in a multitude of cultures mythologies. Perhaps the earliest known vampiric stories and legends come from southeast Europe back in the 18th Century.

Strigonth is based more on the modern vampire. Modern vampires tend to possess common traits such as drinking of blood, being most active at night and sleeping during the day, casting no shadow or reflection, and having the ability to turn humans into vampires willingly. They tend to be deterred by exposure to garlic and mirrors, require an invitation to enter ones abode, and are vulnerable to sunlight.

To destroy a vampire, there are many different possibilities ranging from decapitation, staking them in the heart, exposing them to sunlight for a substantial length of time, or incinerating their bodies.

Personality: Strigonth is the sort of blue that instantly draws the eye. He is the dragon who oozes confidence, and one can't help but be drawn to him. This isn't because of his looks -- though he knows he's quite the stunning catch -- but because of his personality. Every step he takes is the right one; every move he makes commands the eye. Even as a Hatchling, this blue will know how to impress a crowd -- the ladies want to know him, and the males want to be him.

Thankfully, Strigonth will be happy to oblige. There's more than enough of him to go around, thank you. Yes, this dragon is he is self-assured and confident. He knows his strengths as well as his weaknesses, and has too much charm to become arrogant. Just because he knows he's a fine dragon doesn't mean he has to flaunt it in others faces -- how rude! No, Strigonth is too polite and seemingly considerate of others to have such imperfections of character. No, much to the irritation of his enemies, Strigonth truly is a gentleman. He doesn't have to flaunt himself like some of his siblings; he doesn't have to shove power and grab for command like Illiandinth or Hessianth. No, Strigonth is too considerate to be so rude.

Call him old fashioned, because he is. He will always treat ladies delicately, no matter their color. They are meant to be cared for, and their place is to be treasured, and perhaps used...but only by him. If a lady is in need, Strigonth will happily sweep in and offer comfort, and might cry insult at those who did her wrong. He is happy to be her hero, even if it's all a ruse. Men will be treated more cordially, but those he finds garish, rude, or insulting ill likely be spurned. He has no time for brutes and monsters... Even as he himself is such a monster.

Yes, do not be fooled by Strigonth's charms, as many will be. This blue has no problem playing victim or hero to get what he wants; and that includes being the very monster he knows himself to be! He knows how to manipulate others so they might do what he asks or needs, and give him the lifestyle he and his rider deserve. When his manipulation doesn't work, or someone stands their ground and refuses to give in, Strigonth is known to take a more forceful and commanding air. He will get what he wants, and he knows well how to tap into the hissing beast and get physical. If charm won't do it, then threats will. And rest assured, Strigonth knows how to threaten without making a scene. You will do what he wants, one way or another.

He is no queen, but weaker willed chromatics might be swayed to do his bidding.

Positive Traits: Charming, Self-Assured, Popular
Negative Traits: Manipulative, Old-Fashioned, Commanding

Adult Size: 26'
Physical Attributes: Strigonth is more graceful than bulky. He's lithe and as swift on the ground as he is on wing. He isn't as weak or frail as some might assume, and enjoys flying at night the best. Strigonth is interested in both males and females, so long as they know he's the one in charge.

Additional Notes: Strigonth is envious of golds due to their power of command. He is both jealous of them, and desirous to control their power. He will do what he can to keep good ties with the queens of the Weyr in hopes they will become his pawns. Strigonth also seems to enjoy the company of Aramath and Sarcoth particularly well.

Furthermore, this blue will love to blood his kills before he eats. He enjoys draining the beasts dry before tearing into their flesh and chowing them down.

Theme Song: The World is Not Enough by Garbage

Why Me? Loving Dolmar will probably kill the Vampire, but if it's destined to die, it'll take its one true match above any old haphazard pairing. The truth is that Strigonth knows Dolmar inside and out, and not only does he accept him for the scheming social climber that he is, he's right there with him every step of the way. This is not a Blue with low self-esteem. He is the best dragon on Pern, and he is not afraid to prove exactly that. He's well aware of the opportunities afforded to him as a Western Blue, and ready to take every advantage. If his Dolmar is canny, he'll see the advantage too, and prove what a standout pair that they truly are. If there is one area where the Blue shines, it is in his ability to hold sway and influence others, and that will undoubtedly come in handy as they make every effort to climb right to the top.

Blue Jannath
Written by Masterharper and Fated Fable
Colored by -_Wish of Tevarae_-

User Image

Origin of Name: Jinn is an Arabic collective noun deriving from the Semitic root jnn (Arabic: jann), whose primary meaning is "to hide". Some authors interpret the word to mean, literally, "beings that are concealed from the senses".

Inspiration: Jannath is based on the Djinn. These are beings of flame or air who are capable of assuming human or animal form and are said to dwell in all conceivable inanimate objects—stones, trees, ruins—underneath the earth, in the air, and in fire. They possess the bodily needs of human beings and can even be killed, but they are free from all physical restraints. They are also thought to be able to possess humans, transform into a variety of animals (except wolves, whom are their foe), can fly, and travel endlessly. Djinn can come in a variety of personalities and natures, but seem to enjoy leading men astray and tricking them or destroying them. They are also quite willing to have amorous affairs with humans!

Ghūl (treacherous spirits of changing shape), ʿifrīt (diabolic, evil spirits), and siʿlā (treacherous spirits of invariable form) constitute classes of djinn. Djinn delight in punishing humans for any harm done them, intentionally or unintentionally, and are said to be responsible for many diseases and all kinds of accidents; however, those human beings knowing the proper magical procedure can exploit the jinn to their advantage.

In modern legend, a Djinn might be freed by a human, and offer it wishes. But beware -- the third wish should always be used to sen the djinn back to its lamp or previous ensnarement, otherwise risk setting the creature loose on the world.

Personality: Well hello, gorgeous. Are you looking at Jannath? If not, you should be, so why not cast your eyes here? From the very start, Jannath knows his own worth. He is, after all, the very finest creature in existence, although a few of his siblings can lay claim to second place. He is a charming, deceitful creature, and he knows how to get his way. If there is anyone that can stand up to the clever Djinn, he has yet to find them. Even those who claim to despise him may be secretly enthralled.

Do not be fooled, however, into thinking that because he is outwardly amiable that he is kind. Kindness is beneath a creature for whom there are no rules. No one and nothing can contain this dragon. Except maybe his rider, for whom he will show a marked adoration. There is very little he would not do to please the apple of his eye, and he will move worlds for their pleasure. Trapped by his rider in a cage of love, he finds his prison all too comfortable to escape. After all, he does demand worship of his own, and no doubt the one he has chosen will readily comply.

Be careful what you wish for, as you just might get it. Jannath has ways of getting what he wants, and that extends to what his rider wants. If they wish to be the most powerful dragonrider in the world, well, that's just what they'll be. If they wish to have lovers, if they wish to have wealth, he will find a way. In return, he expects that he will be given the respect he deserves, and that his bond with his rider will never be used against him. He has a tendency to hold grudges, which is dangerous because he is underhanded enough to set his haters up for a fall.

When he reaches adulthood, he will have an eye for dragons of various colors, and he has no compunction against potentially stringing along a series of admirers, whom he will keep well within his web. If there ever were that one true dragon, he would be astounded, for it is not in his nature to love anyone but his rider, in general. Fate has a way of taking us all by surprise, however, so it is certainly possible that he would at least partially change his ways if the other were worthy of his devotion. Be aware, however, that this is unlikely, and would require a remarkable individual indeed.

Positive Traits: Sly, Sociable, Indomitable
Negative Traits: Amorous, Deceitful, Imperious

Adult Size: 32'
Physical Attributes: A quite large Blue, he is fiercely beautiful, and knows it. His arrogance is apparent in every line of him, and perhaps well deserved. He is a strong creature, possessed of a lean, muscular physique.

Additional Notes: He does not get along with Therianth or Konvakith. There's just something about them that he doesn't care for, and looks upon them both as enemies. He tends to dislike canines in general, and will always love fire. As a Hatchling he'll want to cozy up to the hearthfires, and as an adult, you can be sure he'll love to flame.

He's naturally fond of Gallath, and seems to enjoy Hessianth and Fantoth's tricks.

Theme Song: Criminal, by Fiona Apple
Why Me? Dharzol. Dear, sweet, precious Dharzol, Jannath has known that you were the one for him since he first heard the Angel lash out against you. What a poor, lost soul you were! But never fear, Jannath is here to comfort and console you. Jannath is one amorous beast himself, or will become so as he comes of age, and he knows all about loving outside of society's rules! They have so much in common. From their tendency to stretch the truth to their flirtatious natures, they are two peas in a pod. But Dharzol need not feel as though he has to change himself. Jannath is so very pleased with him just as he is.

It's also possible that as his rider learns life lessons, so too will the Blue, and he certainly needs an example if those changes are to happen. Really, though, he's more than content to be himself, and to drag his rider down into the depths of deceitfulness. Darling, you have secrets, and so does he. Why not keep them together? Dharzol has waited long enough, so why waste a single precious moment trying to be something he's not?

Blue Micheth
Written by Masterharper
Colored by Mx Cherie

User Image

Origin of Name: Micheth is named after another name given to the Yeti -- the Tibetan name Michê. This name translates into "man bear".

Inspiration: The Yeti has long been a revered figure in Himalayan mythology that predates Buddhism. The various peoples inhabiting Tibet and Nepal do not see the Yeti as a proto-human type of creature but instead a man-like animal that seems to exist with supernatural powers. The Yeti is sometimes called the Abominable Snowman.

Yeti's are incredibly aloof and difficult to track. They are thought to be large in size, strong, and covered in fur. The fur is not actually white -- many consider Yeti's to have brown or red fur, similar to the North American monster, Big Foot. Some believe them to be nocturnal and solitary, while others believe them to live in hidden groups.

In some legends, the Yeti is thought to be able to fly in the air, kidnap young women to rear their young, throw stones, and maraud local livestock. It's also thought to have the ability to appear and disappear at will, instead of being found through tracking.

Personality: Micheth is one of the quiet dragons of this clutch. Unlike some of his siblings, he is not overly protective or some sort of guard -- no, instead, Micheth is simply quiet because he tends not to have much to say. Even from an early age, this dragon will be all sorts of serious -- there is much going on in the world, and this blue is a bit overly serious. While some of his clutchsiblings might pull pranks and practical jokes, Micheth finds little humor in such games. They should be focused on their studies, and their skills, not goof off! Thread is falling, and they have much to do to protect Pern. He isn't always a stick in the mud -- with his rider's encouragement, he will find games he enjoys, and certain dragons will be able to draw out a more relaxed side of the blue. He will never be the life of the party, but he's okay with that!

Micheth is a thoughtful dragon and a deep thinker. This adds to his quiet stoicism -- while some might expect an answer or retort right away, Micheth will carefully consider his words before answering. Some of his more impatient clutchsibs might not appreciate it, but his answers are always well thought out, and never rushed. On top of being a deep thinker, Micheth can be thoughtful and considerate -- he will think of others needs, particularly that of his riders, and try to ensure she is never lacking in want.

Though his clutchsibs might grow impatient with him, Micheth does not have much of a temper. He is incredibly patient, and does not give in to anger and rage like some of his hot-headed siblings. He knows how to wait, and will do so as long as is necessary. Patience is a virtue, and this blue has been blessed with it in droves. While others might fly off the handle, this blue is tried and true; there is no reason to rush, they will get what they need in due time.

Micheth isn't always the easiest of reads. He tends not to put his feelings on display, and won't often delve into how things affect him. His stoicism comes from a need to be watchful, but also cautious -- he won't put his heart on display for just anyone, thank you. And he won't let his rider be taken advantage of, either. He will be cautious bout change, and tends to disapprove of rushing into anything. This blue is not a risk taker, and would much rather rely on the tried-and-true. You won't find him sticking his neck out for anyone!

Despite all this, Micheth is a good blue, and he will be supportive of his friends, and most of all, his rider. Their hopes, their dreams, their desires -- Micheth will be there to ensure they get it all. They will be unwavering in their loyalty, always ready to give a word of encouragement, love, or understanding.

Positive Traits: Supportive, Patient, Thoughtful
Negative Traits: Stoic, Cautious, Serious

Adult Size: 31'
Physical Attributes: Micheth is on the larger side for a blue. He will always have exceptionally large hands and feet, and while he will grow into them a bit more by age, they will always be just a bit too big for the rest of him. While this can make him clumsy on the ground -- especially as a weyrling -- it is useful when he's hunting. His wings are large, and though he is not as agile as some of his smaller kin, he makes up with it with decent stamina.

If he's a bit on the plump side, that can't be helped. It's a mix of muscle and fat -- if his rider lets him gorge, he'll tend more towards plumpness; if he's more active, than he'll tend towards the leaner side.

Micheth enjoys Nzambith's company, and tends to disapprove highly of Hessianth and Fantoth's games. He is also close to Taivshath, as he does not mind her quiet and distant nature.

Additional Notes: Micheth absolutely adores the snow. He is quite jealous of those in High Reaches who get proper winters, and will love to take trips to the snow covered peaks when he's an adult. There are some places in the Western Continent that occasionally get snow, and you can bet Micheth will be there! He prefers cold weather to the summertime heat.

Additionally, he'll love to feast on caprines more than herdbeasts and wherries. While he'll eat anything, caprines are definitely his favorite! He may not find this out until later, as most of the meat suppled to the Weyr is often herdbeast.

Theme Song: Lean on Me - Bill Whithers

Why Me? Micheth is not like some of his louder or more aggressive siblings, and Jaila is the one he was searching for all along. Where she is fire, he is ice, and he will be her steadfast and fearless champion. Should she stumble, he will be there to pick her up; should she fear company, he will wrap around her and keep her safe; while she yearns to be sociable, he'll sit on the sidelines with her until she's comfortable and ready to get out there. Jaila has nothing to fear with Micheth because, chances are, he's already thought about all the dangers or surprises, and has prepared for it -- he's too cautious to let her go running off ahead, and has already made contingency plans should anything go awry.

This pair is a safe pair, full of understanding and support. They both have their own fears, and will be able to lean on one another when life gets overwhelming. Micheth appreciates that Jaila knows when to retreat from a bad situation, and will shield her from any repercussions; likewise, Jaila's hidden spunk and desire to be close to others might force Micheth off the sidelines and into the fray. Wherever Jaila goes, Micheth will always quietly follow.

Origin of Name: In 1801, the german author Clemens Brentano wrote the ballad Zu Bacharach am Rheine, featuring the fair Lore Lay, whose death enchanted the stone after which she is named. Betrayed by her lover, and accused of practicing witchcraft to the doom of men, she was sentenced to life in a nunnery. The beautiful young woman was accompanied by three knights. On her journey to the nunnery, she beheld the Lorelei, a steep stone upon the Rhine, and asked her jailers whether she might climb it. When she stood atop the Lorelei, she mistakenly believed that she saw her lover upon the river Rhine, and, leaping to be with him, she fell to her death. Although the story is not ancient in origin, it has made its way into local folklore, and she is believed to lure men to their deaths even now.

Inspiration: Banshee, from Irish bean sí, and old Irish ban síde, simply means "fairy woman." It is believed that the presence of a banshee is a sign that a family member has died. She sings a traditional funeral song, filling the role of keening woman, a common theme across a number of cultures. This task was often handled by a professional wailer, or bean chaointe, who would ceremonially send the departed off with a song. It is thought by some that each family has a banshee, who will sing only at the death of those who are truly of Irish decent. If more than one banshee appeared, it was a sign that the person who had died was sanctified, or a great man or woman in life.

Although often described as a fairy, some believed that a banshee was the spirit of a woman who had died in childbirth, or who was murdered in life. If one was about to undertake a journey or a task that will most likely kill them, a banshee would sometimes scream to warn of that impending death. Her screams were thought by some to be so shrill as to even shatter glass, this trait attributed by the Gaelic Kingdom of Leinster. The Scottish bean nighe, or washer woman, is also a herald of death, and washes the armor of someone who is about to die. The Welsh hag of the mists also shrieks to proclaim approaching death.

Personality: Loreleth is not ready to fight Thread. Not because he's a coward, but because he is leery of watching his fellows perish. He is keenly aware of his own mortality, and even more worried about that of others. Although he is very familiar with death, he does not love it. His feelings run deep, and the thought of losing even one of his beloved siblings is unbearable to him. Yet he is intelligent enough to recognize that there is no escaping their doom. One day or another, they will all fall prey to their ancient enemy. And it is this that he cannot withstand.

When someone dies, he will be the first to mourn them. And make no mistake, he does not consider any of them strangers. They are all beloved, dear family and friends, and when they pass away, he will have lost one more vital part of his world. As such, he is a tragic little figure, doomed to watch as those he loves pass beyond between. Although he will try his best to save them, there will always be those he cannot save. It wounds him deeply that he is unable to prevent their deaths, and he keens the loudest of all. His eyes are almost perpetually grey.

Life is one series of heartbreaks. Nothing can console him, and it would almost be easier if he could just let go, but he cannot. The harder he tries to hold onto them, the faster they seem to vanish from beneath his claws. It's all hopeless. Nothing can save them. And no one knows how much it hurts him that he can't prevent even the most insignificant of wounds. He keeps mostly to himself so that the pain doesn't bother anyone else. But let anyone think that he doesn't care, and he will destroy himself to prove otherwise.

Positive Traits: Empathetic, caring, self-sacrificing
Negative Traits: Emotional, sensitive, remote

Adult Size: 23'
Physical Attributes: Starting out life more than a little round, this little Blue is dark of hide, and large of eyes. His soulful gaze will pierce your heart. With the aid of a rider, he may be able to overcome his tendency to shy away from Thread, which may help a bit with his physical activity, but he'll always be prone to plumpness.

Additional Notes: Desperately needs friendship and affection. May keep somewhat to himself to avoid the sheer tragedy of life. Life is pain. He has a beautiful, if piercing, voice. He's also a little feminine. He is close to Therianth, Aramath, and secretly admires Tinanath. PS: This dragon is definitely gay.

Theme Song: Can't Smile Without You by Barry Manilow
Why Me? If there was ever someone born who could understand the pain Loreleth feels, it is Jalarus. The man has mourned his lover for Turns, has loved so deeply, and lost so completely. The agony of being the one left behind is not lost on this man. He knows. But more than that, he has survived that terrible pain, and has developed mechanisms for coping with such hurt. For the Blue, that sort of strength is enticing, and make no mistake, he needs all the help he can get. But Jalarus needs something from Loreleth too, and that is his sweet love, and total trust. There will never be a dragon more devoted than Loreleth, not when he needs Jalarus more than he needs to breathe. Where Jalarus has emotionally withdrawn, Loreleth will force him to confront his feelings as he aids the little paincake in getting through the tough times.

Blue Fantoth
Written by Masterharper

Origin of Name: Since the poltergeist's name comes from the German word meaning "noisy spirit" or "noisy ghost", Fantoth's name is based on many translations of the word "ghost". Fantasma in Italian, Catalan, Spanish, and Portuguese; Fantomă in Romania; Fantôme in French; Fantazmë in Albanian.

Inspiration: Fantoth is based on a type of ghost called the Poltergeist. The term poltergeist means noisy-spirit, or noisy-ghost, and it's not far off the mark! These types of ghost have the ability to make loud noises, make objects move, and other physical disturbances. They're known to bite, hit, trip, and pinch individuals, as well as cause levitation of furniture, and knocks on closed doors.

They're traditionally trouble-making spirits that prefer to haunt specific people rather than locations. They've been reported all over the world, including the United States, Japan, India, Australia, and most of Europe. They earliest account goes as far back to the 1st century.

Personality: Fantoth is, and will always be, a little bit of trouble. Ever since his hatching, this boisterous blue has been dubbed a trickster, and for good reason! He loves to play, and better yet, he loves to play tricks! His trickery isn't harmful -- usually -- but he sometimes is a bit short-sighted concerning their long-term effects. As far as Fantoth is concerned, a little trickery is needed in such a serious day and age -- and if his tricks can get someone to laugh (even if it's just himself) than his mission is accomplished!

His tricks tend to be more on the playful and humorous side -- jumping out from behind a corner to surprise someone; roaring in the middle of the night just to startle everyone awake; pouncing some unexpected victim. He prefers tricks that cause others to spook or take them by surprise, but that doesn't mean he won't cause chaos in other ways; maybe causing the local herdbeasts to panic and stampede, just for the fun of it, or to trick one of his clutchsibs to eat something they shouldn't. While his games are never purposefully malicious, his rider will need to try to be firm so he doesn't do something devastating by accident.

Unfortunately, Fantoth is a bit impulsive. If something sounds good to him, you can bet he'll probably follow up on it. He isn't particularly good at restraining himself; if he wants to do something, hes going to do it, no matter what. Paired with his lack of foresight, his rider is going to find himself on all sorts of unplanned adventures.

On top of being playful, Fantoth is a talkative soul. He'll often talk to himself if there's no one else around to chatter to! His rider, unfortunately, will get the brunt of his conversation; thankfully, Fantoth isn't the sort to mind if he gets a response back or not. He talks just to hear the sound of his own voice, and will chatter to anyone within Western if given a chance. Sometimes his chatterings are loud, other times quiet; sometimes they're insightful, other times simply jibberish. When he is respecting his rider's need for quiet or peace, you can rest assured the rest of the Weyr is hearing all about it.

Ah, but Fantoth can be quiet. In fact, this dragon is light on his feet, and can be quiet as the grave when he needs to be. He is the sort who might well surprise other riders and other dragons; one moment you're alone, the next you turn around and find Fantoth right there. Fantoth, for his part, enjoys his quietness; it means his surprises are often extra spooky! This will make him a superb hunter as he matures, and a frustrating competitor during flights.

Positive Traits: Chatterbox, Playful, Stealthy.
Negative Traits: Trickster, Impulsive, Short-Sighted.

Adult Size: 25'
Physical Attributes: Fantoth is a smaller blue, but by no means the smallest. He is light, and that works great for him; his small size lets him more easily sneak where his larger brothers cannot, and keeps him flexible and agile. He has a long and leggy appearance; he'll be a taller dragon, and serpent-like in appearance.

Additional Notes: This trickster is a fan of Tinananth and Hessianth, and will happily stir up trouble with Taivshath. Another fun fact is that he'll also have a desire to try to hide in the most peculiar place -- yes, he can fit in that needlethorn bush; yes, he can fit into his rider's weyr; yes, he can sit in that box. If it fits, he sits, is his motto, even when it's painfully clear that nothing about this dragon fits. Furthermore, he will attempt to sneak everywhere, including places where there is no need to sneak, and no where to hide.

Theme Song: Raise Your Glass by P!nk

Why Me? Norathoman is going to have his hands full with Fantoth, and that's just how this blue likes it! If the Healer wasn't busy enough with lessons and his studies, he'll now have an over-eager blue happily underfoot -- and his won't change even as he grows! Fantoth is going to be fascinated by all the healing knowledge Norathoman brings. He isn't squeamish in the slightest, and will only too-happily stick his nose into whatever North is up to! What's this do? Why does that bleed? Is that color normal? Does this hurt?

Norathoman will have an endless conversation with Fantoth, and never need feel out of place again. Unfortunately, for all of the Healer's seriousness, he will need to keep Fantoth out of trouble -- this blue will only too happily drag North into all sorts of "fun", especially if he feels his rider is getting too focused. Any attention is good attention, and this blue is here to add some spice into his buttoned-up rider's life! If North gets too absorbed or pulled into a panic, Fantoth will make sure he pulls him out and ensures he has some fun; North might be a healer, but life isn't worth living if you're not enjoying yourself, and this blue wants to make sure both his rider and he have the time of their lives.

Should North feel unsure, or inexperienced, his blue will be there to encourage and nudge him to tr new things. He has no greater fan than Fantoth, and he believes North can save the world. North, for his part, will be able to temper his dragon's tricks and keep him in line. With luck, he'll be able to get Fantoth to focus his energy on their drills and duties, instead of just silliness and pranks. If he can manage that, there's no doubt that they'll make a perfect team.

Blue Tinanath

Origin of Name: The name lich is derived from the Old English term lic, which means corpse. In the Maori language, the word corpse is pronounced tinana. Thus, this little dragon's name is that of the dead.

Inspiration: The Lich is a type of undead creature, most often found in fantasy books and settings. In many cases, it's a result of a transformation from a powerful mage or king hoping to discover eternal life. Through the use of spells or rituals, they might bind their intellect and soul to a phylactery, and achieve immortality.

Liches might look similar to zombies and other undead creatures, but they almost always keep their previous intelligence and independent thought. They can be cadaverous in form, or might be completely skeletal.

Liches are known to hold power oer hordes of lesser undead creatures, ofte using them as servants, slaves, and soldiers.

The term lich can be found going back to the Old English term corpse, but its most modern representation of the undead can be found in 1967's Dungeons & Dragons guidebook.

Personality: Tinanath is here, and he is ready to live! This blue has energy to spare, and isn't going to let anyone hold him back, or keep him from achieving his dreams. Energetic, an always moving, this blue dragon is going to lead a very active lifestyle, and drag his rider along with him when he can! Watching sunrises? Check. Watching sunsets? Double check. Playing in the rain? Climbing a mountain? Running around the Weyrbowl? Check, check, and check! Tinanath almost always has a plan for what to do next, and it usually involves some sort of physical activity. Why? Because Tinanath was born to live. Sedentary lifestyles are not for this blue -- every moment is precious, and this dragon isn't going a moment for granted.

Wingdrills will be something Tinanath loves. He is a very disciplined dragon, even as a baby, and will devote much of his time ensuring that his rider and he master their duties. He doesn't complain at early-mornings, and he refuses to let his rider shirk his duties; no, hardwork doesn't scare Tinanath, especially if he knows that he will benefit from it in the end. No temptation will get this blue to waver once he's determined to achieve a goal. Impossible goals will require careful handling -- and a lot of willpower -- from his rider. Tinanath is a never-say-never sort of blue. This blue has goals an dreams of rising straight to the top, and he'll make sure his rider and he make something of their lives!

Decisive in his actions, when Tinanath decides to do something, he's going to do it. While some of his cluchsibs might be wishy-washy, this blue looks down on indecisiveness. There is always a choice, a clear answer, and though the blue might need to think about it, he will always make a decision and follow it to the end. Usually, those ends get him exactly what he wants, and more. Anyone who can't make up their mind is a fool who doesn't know their own desires or their own mind; and if it's his rider who can't decide, then Tinanath will make the decision for them.

While this blue will make an asset to his future Wing, he does have a tendency to think of himself or his rider first. Most of his actions tend to yield results that directly benefit him, and if not him, than his rider. This could be a short-term yield, or something he's crafted and designed for long-term gain. Honestly, there's always an angle with Tinanath, no matter how sincere or pleasant he seems. At the end of the day, he wants power, and he'll do whatever he must to get it.

Tinanath can be so focused on himself or his rider that he might not consider the feelings or his treatment of others. Even when it's pointed out, Tinanath just doesn't care. Should he? Well, he might, if he thinks it puts him at a disadvantage to one of his goals. This means the blue can be inconsiderate, and a bit callous. He doesn't sugar-coat his words, and he expects everyone he interacts with to has a thick a hide as he does. He doesn't have time for crybaby hatchlings -- life is too short, and there's too much to do to stop and weep over a few broken hearts.

Positive Traits: Active, Decisive, Disciplined
Negative Traits: Callous, Self-Serving, Inconsiderate

Adult Size: 28'
Physical Attributes: Tinanath is average for a blue, and doesn't seem to mind. He is well proportioned, if perhaps a bit more filled out than some of them. He's not fat, just heavier muscled -- and he prefers it that way! It shows he has good blood, good genes, and isn't going to fall to pieces should he take a hit. He is one healthy blue, and he rather enjoys flaunting that fact. Healer visits will be rare for this blue -- he doesn't often get sick or seem to suffer infections or indigestion like some of his siblings. But when he does get hurt, or struck by Thread, Tinanath becomes a bit dramatic. Every little scratch means he's dying, and he'll hate every moment of it until he's back to good health.

Additional Notes: Tinanath will likely find an enemy in Strigonth. He is both jealous and desirous of the others natural ability to control and command his fellow clutchsibs, and craves that sort of power. When not bickering with Strigonth, this blue will absolutely love being in the limelight, with his peons -- I mean his clutchsibs -- surrounding him. If there's a way to get attention, then you can be Tinanath will do what he can to get it! He is friends with Nzambith and Gallath, though he might order them around when he can.

As he grows, he will always be down for flights. Everything about the chase is good, and it always reminds him of his vitality and life. Unfortunately, he's not going to pass up an opportunity to chase, so no green should get too comfortable with him in her wallow; he'll likely take off as soon as another green rises!

Theme Song: Immortals by Fall Out Boy

Why Me? Tinanath was immediately drawn to Phayton's active lifestyle -- and his dedication to the Weyr. He sees potential in the man, and if he ever plans on making something of himself, then he's going to need the dark haired man's potential. Tinanath knows just how clever his rider is, and if they both work as hard as he knows they will, he honestly doesn't see any reason why they can't make a name for themselves. Tinanath will help keep Phayton focused, instead of getting distracted by those well beneath them. Obviously, if the boy wants to make friends with useful pawns, well, maybe he'll be more obliging. Rest assured, even with his rider, there's nothing Tinanath won't do to better their situation.

When the aren't training, you can bet this blue will be right by his rider living every day to the fullest. He will party as hard as he works, and will make sure he impresses the right people. Life is meant to be lived, after all, for he knows well that tomorrow isn't guaranteed. Phayton won't need to have insecurities with Tinanath at his side - this blue doesn't have time for it, and besides, he chose him! He will push aside any doubt or uncertainty the other has, because together, they can now truly shine.

Blue Rouenth
Written by Masterharper
Colored by demon_pachabel

User Image

Origin of Name: Rouenth gets his name froma French legend of St. Romanus who was made Bishop of Rouen. The story says he delivered the country around Rouen from a monster called Gargouille or Goji. La Gargouille is said to have been the typical dragon with batlike wings, a long neck, and the ability to breathe fire from its mouth. It was said that he subdued the creature with a crucifix, or he captured the creature with the help of the only volunteer, a condemned man. In both stories, the monster is led back to Rouen and burned, but its head and neck would not burn due to being tempered by its own fire breath. The head was then mounted on the walls of the newly built church to scare off evil spirits, and used for protection.

Inspiration: Rouenth is based on the general monster, the Gargoyle.
These creatures are stone statues and grotesques built into the architecture of certain buildings. Often, they are capable of coming to life, whether through magic or possession by spirits or demons. Gargoyles are commonly depicted as appearing devilish or draconic, possessing horns and wings, claws, and sharpfangs. Even though they are made of stone, winged gargoyles are still capable of flight.

Gargoyle creatures are often utterly territorial, guarding the structures they were a part of and unable to leave those places. They may or may not be intelligent, and are sometimes only brought to life by sorcerers as protectors. In some cases they only come alive at night, and turn back to stone during the day; while other depictions have them waking up at will.

They're known to be able to fly, have great endurance, and often can take more damage (or even be impenetrable) against enemies. They also might have the ability to petrify another creature that they bite, and slowly turn them to stone.

Gargoyles are vulnerable against sunlight, and being unable to leave their home structures.

Personality: Rouenth is the sort of blue that has your back, and is always looking out for you. He is the sort of dragon that was born old, and is just a bit more mature than the rest. While his clutchmates play, this blue will keep guard over them, watching for any sign of trouble or danger. If anyone gets too close, he will likely rumble a warning; if any of his clutchsibs seem to find themselves in trouble, he will not hesitate to fix the situation however he can! If diplomacy and words don't work, than he will threaten and dominate as needed. This blue doesn't ever seem to tire. A natural watch-dragon, this blue is protective of those he loves, and anyone not in that circle will find a suspicious and wary dragon.

Rouenth is very physically strong. He is large, muscular, and will excel at feats of strength. He is not at all delicate, and knows how to take a hit. Carrying multiple passengers, or having him transport goods an wares will be simple for this blue. While some of his blue colored kin tire easily, Rouenth does not. Unfortunately, especially when he's little, this blue might not know his own strength and could wind up accidentally hurting others in his rough-housing or games. He will need to be extra gentle with delicate things. This blue is is also a mentally strong dragon -- he has excellent will-power when needed be, and isn't the sort to be manipulated or command. While he will follow a queen's command, if it's not one he agrees with, he will likely do so grudgingly.

Ultimately, Rouenth is here to become a capable and dependible blue. As he grows he will easily fall into place in the Wings. He isn't particularly ambitious, though with the right rider he could be. All he wants to do is to protect his Weyr, and his loved ones, to the best of his ability. He is a dark knight, here to serve. Any mission given him will be completed, any task asked of him will be followed and understood. He's not the sort of dragon that needs things explained in detail, and respects the authority and rank of those above him.

Unfortunately, this blue can be incredibly territorial. While there are a few in this clutch with such feelings, Rouenth is particularly aggressive. Those who come near to beings or things perceived as his will automatically be an assumed threat; growling, snarling, baring his fangs -- until they are put on a checklist of individuals that are to be accepted and trusted, he will not be a very nice blue. He would rather scare off strangers than keep them around, and if they cause a problem, he will not hesitate to drive off in whatever means necessary. No, he does not like strangers -- but he can warm up to them, especially if his rider vouches for them, or warns him ahead of time. Wherver Rouenth is stationed, he will adjust to the area being his. Western Weyr is his home, and he will guard it fiercely -- but if he transferred to High Reaches, or was stationed at a Hold, that would fall under his protection instead. Individuals are also wrapped up and tagged as either his, or not his, and those are not his had well better stay away from those that are his. Or else

This doesn't often win Rouenth friends, but it does make him a safe-haven for those who are in need of a guardian.

This territorial nature can also manifest in Rouenth being clingy. This blue will not want his rider out of his sight. This might prove to be one of their bigger hurdles, as the blue won't ever outgrow this desire and demand. The same will happen to any future mate. He is clingy, he is a bit possessive, and he doesn't do well distanced from his rider. So long as his rider is within his sight, or better yet, close to him, only then will the blue fully relax. Why he doesn't begrudge his rider duties or tasks, he doesn't always understand why they have to happen outside of his line of sight.

Lastly, Rouenth has slightly sensitive vision. He's not photophobic like watchwehrs, but he isn't always keen about the bright sunlight. Sunning on the ledge is not his favorite past-time -- he prefers to soak up the sunlight early in the morning, or late in the afternoon when it isn't high overhead and inescapable. Harsh, bright lights irritate the blue, and he seems to prefer being awake during the evenings and some of the night. Rouenth does better with glows than with candles, and will often prefer to sit in the shade than to hang out in direct sunlight. His rider will need to make sure he does get enough sunlight, though, else he might get bit ill.

Positive Traits: Strong, Vigilant, Capable
Negative Traits: Territorial, Slightly Photophobic, Clingy

Adult Size: 32'
Physical Attributes: Rouenth is a very large blue, but also quite elegant in his own way. He has a surprisingly long and graceful neck, with large wings, and large hands and feet that he never quite grew into. He has notably sharp claws that he preens over as one of his vanities.

Additional Notes: Rouenth loves to drink water. This dragon was Hatched thirsty, and seems to have a keen fondness for flying and playing n the rain. Beaches are always a hit, yes, but he does rather prefer chasing rainstorms -- perhaps a little nod towards his dam.

Additionally, Rouenth loves to be assigned watch-duty. To have an area to protect, and guard -- that is his favorite thing to do. It allows his vigilant nature to be ever satisfied, and the night watch will always be his his favorite shift.

He tends to keep an eye Loreleth, appreciates Konkavith, and enjoys playing with Seirath.

Theme Song: I'm Still Standing by Elton John
Why Me? Rennati, Rouenth is ready to be your castle. He is ready to be your fortress, where you can hide away, where you can never against worry about whether you've made the right choice. One thing they share in common is their need to be near someone, to be loved and wanted. Have no doubt that there will never be a moment where Rennati is truly alone, not with Rouenth in her life, and in her head. She'll have someone to talk over ideas with, someone to lean on, someone to trust. And he is so trustworthy. He needs her verve and affection. They are both inclined to working hard, and when a tough job needs doing, there is no doubt that they'll see it through as the partners that they truly are.
