The request had been a simple one that had gone across the 'newly' issued tablet; a call for available agents to meet with one General Labyrinthite within a spacious meeting room for a round combat training. The details itself were unclear outside of the time, place, and the fact that there would be combat.
The good general himself had arrived thirty minutes prior to the stated meeting time so that he could set up a folding chair against one of the barren walls for Zircon should she need it and a small cat bed beside it should Silk come to watch as he had been invited to. As for the rest of the room, it remained empty but seemingly spacious, stone stretching along in a length that would take Labyrinthite several handfuls of strides to cross.
Moving into the center he stood, whiskey eyes watching the singular entrance for everyone to trickle in.
He looked to be relatively at ease, but the keen eyed would take note of the way his hands clenched and unclenched at his sides.
((Sorry about the delay in setting this up! As a reminder this is a group combat battle with the agents vs General Labyrinthite, if there are any specific requests about damage taken or damage inflicted please let me know!))

Pyro arrived in a timely manner for once.
Not because he was excited or anything, he was more curious about this new training and against a general?
The only generals that Pyro knew were Natron and Stuffy old Zircon.
She was hardly a FUN general too.
"Yo!" The half youma raised a hand and then crossed his arms. Hauyne would probably be here soon, wouldn't they?
Lt. Paracelsian had gotten the memo, and he felt compelled to attend this session for a variety of reasons. For one, it was at a General's request, and it would not be auspicious for him if he turned a request from a superior down. Furthermore, he really needed combat training. He couldn't get through everywhere just by asking nicely, as he had seen a few times by now. Further furthermore, the details had been cryptic enough to pique his interest based on curiosity alone. He wanted to learn more about this Labyrinthite, see what he was made of. (Tough stuff, for sure, but what kind?)
The Lieutenant made his way into the room; he first got an eyeful of Pyrophanite, which was not something he was expecting. Half-youma were really something. Something unsettling, at least. Still, he wasn't about to show anything less than perfect decorum while a General was around. He politely doffed his cap and addressed the others. "Captain, General. Lieutenant Paracelsian, reporting." Maybe that was a little too formal, but it never hurt to be careful.

Training was good. Any sort of training was a benefit when it came to not getting The Dead: magic parameters, speed and dexterity out hopping rooves to overpasses, energy draining and alleyways 101. Live combat training, with live other officers, was something of a treat. Showing a bust on any transfers for any sort of regularlity under a CO, the offer going out for anything with a General who was ready and willing was a golden goose too good to really consider passing up.
Maybe a good impression could be made? Maybe another bad impression. Confidence is key. Confidence is key. Confidence. “The penitent man shall pass”??? What is that from?
Movie distractions helped from the general discomfiture of the wildly empty room. At least there were others there already, but without obvious barriers there wasn’t go to be a lot of tactical dodging compared to straight fisticuffs. Officers’ weapons didn’t need reloading, unlike senshi magic. And the powers-that-be'd was standing all creeper-movie style as was the wont of the upper echelons. Why be a norm, one could reasonably suppose. A nod of acknowledgement was dispensed, but straight up talking when they were in the Badass McBadass pose was Never a Good Idea, Avoid Fraternization.
Approaching the other Captain’s side, Haüyne started the greeting from entry and continued it on a drawn out breath until punching him lightly in greeting, in the shoulder, “Buuuuuuuuuuussssssssssssssssssssss-”
“We tagging in and out in this affair, or just burnin’ it? Or still too early for the rules of engagement?” The Lieutenant in situ seemed the polite and formal sort. Haüyne winked over at them and mouthed, “ Yo.”

Zircon was mostly here to observe, and she did so in silence from the wall opposite the entrance, keeping steady watch of the combatants as they filed in. If necessary, she would mediate, but her role today was more of a passive one, utilized only if the assembled team found themselves in any real danger.
That being said, when she observed Pyrophanite, she scowled.

Silk all but jumped on the opportunity when it was presented to him. Not only did he think it was great because his General put it together, but because it gave him something he was sorely lacking. Exposure. This was a great way to see others of the Negaverse outside of his team, and more importantly, to see how they treated each other. That conversation with Regan about agents treating their senshi things like s**t really bothered him. So when a senshi finally made an appearance, Silk's attention was riveted on---
On---
"Zircon." The kitten hissed up to the general he was currently seated next to, sitting on his haunches. "What is that senshi thing?" Because he couldn't tell if it was a boy or a girl, and it was important he knew. So important. He noticed her scowl when she observed one of the participants, and his golden gazed followed her's to land on the Captain the senshi thing seemed to be pals with.
"Also, why are we staring?"
But since Zircon was scowling, Silk joined in, and glared at the half-youma Captain.
To say Lime was leery of the summons was an understatement. He didn't think he was so bad he needed extra training, but, he also knew that he was hardly the ideal agent. No, he was more the agent that just stayed out of the way, on the fringes. The summons was a bit of a shock but not... entirely unexpected. Higher ups would tests scrubs like himself, it made sense after all.
There was at his arrival, a minagerie of curios present. A corrupt senshi. Two generals. A half youma. A corrupt cat. Another of his own rank- "Wow." That was all he said, entering the room and making his way to the outskirt fringes of those gathered, a low whistle escaping him. "So uh- Lt. Lime, reporting for duty uh-" He looked between the two most powerful forces in the room, the generals. "Sirs."

One by one they trickled in and there was the barest hint of an upward curl of his mouth as he waited, feet apart with his shoulders square and hands behind his back. As each person entered the room, they'd receive the weight of his gaze for a few seconds before it would shift to someone else.
Pyrophanite was given a longer regard, the general taking the time to assess the scales that crawled up the younger agent's face. Briefly, he wondered what type of youma share occupancy with the captain, if it was something akin to what Cinnabar held or something else entirely. Knowing the variety of youma that crawled through the troves of the rift, and knowing that he hadn't seen but a fraction of what the place housed, Labyrinthite knew that it could have been anything.
Still, he wondered.
Paracelsian was given a passing glance and a nod in response to the greeting. Instead, his gaze settled upon the brunette corrupt and his eyes narrowed. His lips curled upward into the beginning of a snarl that he barely managed to reign in, the barest hint of it audible when he suddenly inhaled sharply through his nose and straightened his spine.
Not now, he thought as he resolved to show only his best face. He was in control, not the rattling beast behind it's bars with it's darker, crueler tendencies demanding to be set free.
Thus, he welcomed the distraction of the way Zircon and his mauvian moved in solidarity to shoot a glare in the direction of the half-youma.
Interesting.
He would have to follow up on the whys later, this was not the time and someone else had entered the space. A nod was given to Lime and he gave them all a moment to settle before he spoke.
"Welcome, as you know, I am General Labyrinthite. My tenure with the Negaverse has been a long one, but I have not had as many opportunities to familiarize myself with everything within our organization. That being said," he paused, gaze drifting over each of the gathered one by one before he settled on whomever was in the 'middle' of them, "I would like to thank you for coming."
Shifting, he began to walk around, circling the gathered as if it would help him assess what they brought to the table. He kept from stepping too close to the senshi, despite the way instinct tried to coax him to. "To answer your question, this is a free-for-all of sorts. I am your single target and I will go against all of you in tandem. General Zircon is here to provide assistance and observe, for research." His grin slipped into something darker, easily noticed if anyone was watching.
Ah ha!!! There was his partner in crime. As the corrupt came up to him and Laby explained what the goings on were, he nodded. "Nah, all for one here. I don't know about the others smugs around here though so...."
For some reason he felt a powerful in his glare....and then it was amplified in a smaller glare. Did he hear Zircon was around?
"Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey. General Zircon...." He found her immediately because of the missing leg in his heat vision. He gave her a five fingered wave, then blew her a kiss.
"So who wants to go at him first?" If Pyro did his magic, the only thing he'd do is screw everyone in here.

‘For research’ was a mantra, and mostly it meant ‘we’re not about to tell you s**t, but you’re gonna bleed for it.’ Why the research, such as it was, required teams of subordinate officers, was anyone’s guess. Maybe the R&D had developed some fancy pants new boot-inserts, or powdered-cocaine starseed dust, that the General had taken and was going to get trials of efficacy on. Or it could be statistics about teamwork, or failure, between officers who weren’t regularly working together. The cat, a small one, was a strange addition made weirder by honing in on ….it looked like Bus? The cats had so little to do with the Agents as far as what the training manual said about purpose, powers and expectations. There was only one corrupted senshi present, namely Machine, so was it observing something or trying out something on all the agents? With the help of….agents? General Zircon and General Labyrinthite. Need-to-Know-Basis research and ball-busting brawl-times.
Bus was makin sweet on The Zircon in a ridiculous way. The words were meant for Bus, if he’d pick up on them and a knife-thrower’s intention of keeping distance from a hopefully, eventually, stationary General. Could be stationary from someone’s abilities, weapon, or murdering some poor ******** face. Really, Machine was just hoping not to be target chosen number one and start a Yakety Sax chase around the place. Meanwhile the Labyrinthite was circling them in a way that was like a sheepdog herding, and instinct and small training screamed that if a General wanted you to form up tight, all nut-to-butt, it should be done. That was exactly the sort of way to get killed in a fight when some people had the A-o-E Devil’s Halitosis goin’ on. Haüyne gave a slow, rolling, grooving-to-unheard-music nod, “Right on. I’ll bullseye from the outside. “
The corrupted set to a rapid fire of back handsprings to get out of the group, trying to get out of the General’s arc, and as much out of Bus’ way as possible.
Lime had a decent set of self preservation skills. They included the normal ones, like being able to feed, bathe and clothe one's self, but the repertoire also included the skill of being able to run very fast.
Which is exactly what he did, in the direction opposite of the general he was supposed to fight.

This group seemed to understand things easily, with the half-youma easily excitable from his observation and...he had some sort of interested in his second-in-command. Labyrinthite would have to press that matter further, at a later date.
After perhaps.
It was curious thing, after all.
No questions came, outside of captain's questioning and the senshi, the very one that he kept eyeing, did multiple backsprings to put space between them.
His grin sharpened, hunger flashing in the depths of his whiskey eyes.
Luckily for the corrupt, someone else had garnered his attention by trying to run away and he moved, grabbing at the back of the lieutenant's (Lime) uniform. "Where do you think you're going?" He snarled, before his arm moved, as if he was going to throw Lime into someone else.
((OOC: In the interest of being able to move these along we will no longer be sticking with any sort of posting order. ‘Free-for-all’ The extraordinary characterization of their current situation tumbled over and over again with the world until everything was rightside up again. Excepting that lieutenant who didn’t seem to stand a chance of getting away. Body softer than a stone wall, but are any of us fastnuff to catch’em-’
Free-for-all was No-holds-barred. That cat could be a ballistic as much as a person could, right? Training said they had lasers. Anything was game in survival mode. Lt. Look-alive needed to dirty pool an elbow back or something. Machine started into a dashing arc for the other general and the mauvian. If I can grab it….maybe if you shake ‘em? Like those diver sticks to get them to glow? How do you fire the laser….

Lime's sense of self preservation was probably the only thing he had going for him on most days. That was, until he chose to get noticed and worse, caught by the crazy general who very likely would feed him to a youma if it was allowed, (and even if it wasn't). "Uh-" Lime was trying to think of an excuse, any excuse really, to get him out of this. "I'd rather not say." Not an excuse but the truth of 'because you ******** terify me' didn't quite cut it. Not with a guy like this.
Wiggling in an attempt to free himself lime was stupid enough to ask "Can you let me go already?"
