Blood Type: O+
Fav. Food: Chilaquiles - especially with egg!

Hobbies:Anime - Sometimes, you just have to appreciate a form of entertainment for what it is Whether that is pseudo-historical adventures that defy the laws of physics, or science-fiction adventures that defy the laws of physics, or magical adventures that also defy the laws of physics. In short, Thomas finds a refuge and an escape in anime; it gives him a respite from Hillworth and from his family, and the stresses associated with both. He doesn't go to conventions, doesn't cosplay, and isn't obsessed with it... but he does enjoy the occasional Gundam marathon and may have watched every episode of Bleach, including the fillers. (Not that he'll admit to that.)
Video Games - Similar to anime, Thomas finds video games to be a comfortable break from reality. He's particularly fond of fantasy games and science fiction games - games that let him be a hero, to serve a greater purpose and to feel important for once in his life. Given he works part-time and puts most of his funds from that toward this particular hobby, he's got a pretty sizable collection of games. Mostly these are PS3 and PS4 games, both systems which he keeps in good repair. He does a fair amount of online gameplay, and keeps in contact with other players as much as he can.
Chemistry - For someone prone to escapism, there's still something about this particular science that utterly fascinates Thomas. He enjoys the reactions; seeing what can happen and how things combine and combust and how just a slight change in a formula can make an entirely different result. He's not quite interested enough in it to have a poster of the periodic table on his wall... but it is the design on his mousepad. It goes without saying that chemistry classes have been some of his favorite science classes and, as a result, the classes he receives some of his highest grades in.
Drawing - What money Thomas earns that doesn't go into video games (and his crunchyroll subscription) goes into art supplies. He's prone to doodling in class and often keeps a sketchpad somewhere on his person. He's genuinely interested in pursuing art as a future career, but does know it's a hard field to break into - and so he spends a lot of weekends sketching, often with a well-loved anime on as background noise. He's a little shy about this particular hobby, but has drawn things as presents for friends and family members, though he gets anxious if anyone tries to watch him work. His preferred medium? Pencils and Copic Markers.
Virtues: Clever - Thomas is, quite honestly, smart. He's a quick-thinker and a quick-learner. Often he'll only need presented with a piece of information once or twice in order to remember it and put it to use in the future, and he can break apart and follow complicated subjects and theories without struggling overmuch. He can piece together mental puzzle pieces and arrive at the full picture rapidly, allowing him to come up with plans and solutions just a little bit faster. This helps him in situations where grasping what's going on and formulating a rapid response are essential.
Gentle - Some things and some people need a delicate touch in both the physical and emotional sense. Thomas is skilled at providing both. He's naturally rather softspoken and quiet, and it takes a lot to get him to raise his voice. This aspect of his nature makes it easier for him to relate to animals and young children, up to and including some of the youngest boys at his school; those that are having trouble adjusting will often find a listening ear in Thomas, as there's always someone in need of quiet, gentle company to make the hard days just a little bit easier to bear. On the physical end of things, Thomas is gentle in that he can handle fragile objects with the precision and caution needed to keep them intact, and is remarkably good at preserving otherwise easily-damaged equipment.
Inquisitive - Thomas is a curious sort by nature, and he's eager to learn. He's the sort who will find a teacher after class and try to find out more about any topic that's caught his attention, and isn't afraid to ask if he doesn't know or understand something. He likes to see all the pieces of a puzzle before putting together the picture, and isn't afraid to seek out information in order to make sure he has all of those pieces. Thomas isn't one to let a situation stand and write it off as not worth bothering - he wants to understand, and that means he'll investigate, and poke, and he'll keep trying until he's learned everything he can learn, or gotten the result he's after. It isn't stubbornness or even truly persistence; he just wants to know.
Flaws: Resentful - Thomas has something of an envious personality. As the second of four children, he was lost in the shuffle from a very young age. As the baby for quite a long time until their little sister was born, Thomas' younger brother Daniel bore the brunt of this aspect of his personality. He resents being passed over and ignored, and if he resents a person he will be petty and snipe at them, insulting and mean. Once he's decided he's being treated unfairly, whoever he thinks is getting the lion's share of good treatment will find themselves the target of teasing, mean-spirited pranks, and a generally sour reception. After all, they're getting something he deserved more, so why shouldn't he engage in a little payback?
Sullen - If Thomas is in a bad mood, you'll know it immediately. He's prone to sulking and brooding when unhappy, and if prodded to do something while in a funk will be grumpy and full of put-upon sighs and half-whines. In short, he's sulky, and tends to pout like a child that's been denied his favorite toy. Eventually he does usually come out of it on his own, but until that point he'll avoid engaging with anyone and tries to hole up in his room where he can glower at anyone trying to drag him out of his funk. The more someone tries to cheer him up when he's in these moods, the more surly and unresponsive he'll get, absolutely refusing to even try to perk up until he's good and ready to do so.
Deceitful - Having grown up in a strict Catholic household, Thomas learned quickly that if he wanted to get away with something (and not have his mother drag him by the ear to Confession), he would have to be very good at hiding it. It's not that he approves of being outright manipulative and dishonest, but he does have a tendency to omit truths and hide things that he think might toe the line of what's permissible. In short, he's sneaky, and while Thomas doesn't particularly enjoy lying to peoples' faces, if he wants something enough and there's no other way to get it? He will. To him, the ends justify the means, and if the means requires that he lie, sneak, or otherwise trick people, he doesn't mind doing so. This goes double in the case of someone he's displeased with, as he has even less compunctions about fooling someone when he doesn't like them.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Eyes: A very dark blue.. Round, and often looks like he's analyzing whateve he's looking at.
Hair: Slightly wavy, milk chocolate brown in color. He generally wears it long - just past his shoulder blades - and keeps most of it tied back in a ponytail, though some of it hangs over his shoulders in front. He has long bangs that sweep to one side (usually his left, since that's the direction he pushes them out of his face in most of the time.)
Face: A tad bit long to be considered heart-shaped, with average ears. His skin tone is a dark olive, and he has a few deeper freckles on his nose. G9 is a good example of base skintone, while I9 on the same chart would be good for the freckles.
Clothes: When he's not in uniform, Thomas tends to wear pullover hoodies and keeps a number of colored pencils and markers shoved in the front pocket, along wit jeans and sneakers. He's not overly fashionable, choosing to express himself through art rather than through how he dresses.
