If anyone is throwing sidewinders, it's him.

Oh, Seziah is no fool. She is all too aware that the fish hybrid has more experience than her in combat, and she suspects he may know at least as much about strife. But letting him 'win' as often as he does... It is unacceptable. If he keeps winning, it means she isn't improving, and if she isn't improving, she is only wasting a kind man's time.

And somehow, Dravi can provide that. She kind of expects he can't provide very much for anyone else, though, and that is something of a very sad existence...

In fact, between the two of them, he'd say he was in a pretty good spot. he can still go wherever he wants and do... almost whatever he wants. Well, he doesn't have kids, and that seems like the thing that'd most hold a person back.

Wow, okay. Seziah has always taken the things people said at face value. She doesn't believe in lies and doesn't generally see the need for it, particularly not toward someone of so little importance, as she is. However, even Seziah can sense a bit of bitterness in Dravi's assertion. She doesn't know his past, but something is clearly missing in his life.

Thinking about it frustrates him. He's a good guy with good goals and the opportunities have been there-

Seziah doesn't consider herself cruel, nor is she expressly an opportunist, but there in that moment, while her combat instructor is frustrated and upset and offended at things beyond what was shared with them between words, she senses her chance. Perhaps it isn't right of her to kick a man when he's down, but Dravi has taken advantage of her slips before. It seems only fair, and true to their routine.

It should've been expected, that the woman with him would leap at the opportunity to work her quite-literal magic against him. Seziah isn't harsh or too rough, but the force of her magic is enough to floor him. Skadravi still simmers quietly at things that have nothing to do with her, but at the end of it all, he can't help but shoot her a weary-eyed smile and commend her on her efforts. She really is improving.
