Gravina was so incredibly grateful for that strange little space-pocket he accidentally discovered a few weeks ago. Testing its limits proved slow and somewhat messy, with liquids in open containers being the biggest inconvenience, spilling out when Gravina opted to reach for something else to grab. From then on, it was closed-containers only.

When out on patrol with Manu, Gravina would stuff important things like a small first aid kit, sweater and snacks into the subspace. At that moment, the Knight of Cosmos sat on the edge of the roof of an older bank building in downtown Destiny City. Manu had wanted to stop for some window shopping and was nearby, though close enough in case of trouble. Gravina could feel him on the edges of his peripherals. While swinging his legs, he decided on an apple for a snack, and reached behind his left shoulder to pull it from subspace. So handy!

He munched away, watching the stars, wondering if a thermos would be a good idea. Hot cocoa? Coffee? Well, coffee for Manu, as caffeine gave Gravina a buzz that lasted far too long...

Gravina wasn't expecting anyone tonight, but then again, he and Manu had a tendency to accidentally run into someone new when out on patrol. Halfway through his apple, someone's voice alerted the Cosmos knight and he peered over the rooftop to gaze upon whoever it was.

Oh! She had lovely, bright hair and poofy pants. Gravina did seem to really enjoy her pants, for one reason or another. Or were they shorts? It was hard to tell from up here. And she had... a tiny dog? What were they called? Pomer... something. It wouldn't have come as a shock to patrol with a dog - Manu did so with Staccato, the chocolate Labrador, from time to time. A Pompom was an odd choice, but Gravina wasn't about the judge.

"Um... hello! Down there! How are you? Um... I like your dog! Are they friendly? May I pet them, please?" Gravina had a tendency to speak softly, so having to raise his voice to be heard felt awkward. The Knight almost wished to apologize to Megrez for being loud like that, but how would she hear him otherwise? Oh, and he needed to throw away the apple anyway. Littering was a crime, after all. He carefully scooted himself from the rooftop and landed just a few feet away from the senshi, placing the apple core in the trash can.

"There. We have to keep the city tidy, right?"

Gravina seemed both surprised and perplexed to find that the creature he thought was a small, poofy and cream-colored dog, was in fact some kind of alien creature. Puffy as it was called, seemed like the friendly sort, making all kinds of adorable noises. Gingerly, the Cosmos Knight reached down to pat what he thought was Puffy's head. "Oh, um... hello, Puffy. It's nice to meet you." came a soft reply. Gravina was honestly stuck between curiosity and concern. Would the senshi have to worry about Puffy being unattended? What if the Animal Control people picked him up?

That would be terrible!

"Um... My name is Gravina. It's nice to meet you and... and Puffy. He doesn't get in trouble, does he? I hope not. I'd be afraid that youma might want to munch on him, but if he's your partner, I'm sure he's okay." Megrez did possess wings, after all, which made her an Eternal Senshi. The highest rank, as far as Gravina knew. "Is he lightweight? Does he like to be carried? Do you think... I could pick him up?"

Maybe Staccato would like the little fluffy alien? Gravina couldn't imagine Puffy moving quite fast enough to keep up with a dog, but lacking any noticeable legs... the fact that Puffy could move at all was fascinating.

"Senshi of Eggs... oh!"

Gravina hesitantly lifted his hand to point to her forehead, where a strange, glowing symbol of an egg appeared on Megrez. Tilting his head, the knight seemed quite fascinated by it. "Did you... draw that? In a mirror?" Truth be told, Gravina hadn't seen anything like it before. The symbol seemed to glow from within. How strange!

For the moment though, Gravina was torn between Puffy and the strange glowing symbols on his senshi companion. Stooping over, the knight opened his arms to allow Puffy to wander close of his own accord, then stood back up with the puffy package in tow. Puffy was quite soft, and Gravina found himself petting the Puffski without giving it much thought. "He is light!" marveled the knight, holding Puffy like a precious, fragile thing. "Thank you for letting me hold you, Puffy."

Gravina seemed quite perplexed by Megrez's explanation, tilting his head at the senshi as she held out her arms. The strange, glowing markings extended all the way down her arms - feathers! All the same color as the blue egg on her forehead. "Special.... bond?" The Knight raised his blue eyes to the night sky above them, pondering. Special bond with your planet or your Wonder.

My Wonder?

"Well, it... looks very nice on you. It's blue, like your eyes. It looks nice. Puffy probably thinks so too, don't you, Puffy?" Looking down at the Puffski in his arms, the Knight smiled. The thought of bonding with something in space was... a little uncomfortable. A little off-putting, but... weren't they all meant to do something like that? Gravina would have to ask Manu about it. The Cosmos Knight, while a knight in rank, had never even entertained the idea of traveling into space. He wasn't aware that such a thing could even be done!

What a strange world he'd woken up into.

"Do you think Puffy gets hungry?" he asked, pulling one hand out from under the Puffski to pat him on the head. "There's a small store, not too far from here, if you're hungry too!"

"...visit my Wonder...?" Gravina tilted his head, clearly perplexed by all this. He hadn't heard of a Wonder very often, and certainly hadn't visited one. Unless... all the places he'd visited and enjoyed thoroughly counted as Wonders? Roddy's house was certainly pretty Wondrous, so maybe that counted too? "...and find something interesting to do? Hmm. How do I do that?"

Megrez was spot-on, as the Knight of Cosmos, despite his power, had no conceivable idea what he was supposed to be doing, other than repenting for his previous life. Everything else was icing on the cake. Gravina simply tried to help people, and meet new faces and learn new things. He was a lamb, taking his first steps in a new world.

Puffy's ability to speak startled the knight, and Gravina had to work quickly not to drop the poor Puffski. "O-oh! U-um... I'm sorry!" came the stammered apologies to Puffy in his arms. "I-I didn't realize you... you could speak! U-um... you're very puu too, Puffy." With a nervous smile, Gravina patted the Puffski on the head again. Will wonders truly never cease? It seemed as though the man reborn was learning something new every day.

The startle seemed to tire Gravina and he sighed slightly. "Well, I wouldn't want either one of you to be hungry, but I also don't want Puffy to get sick... I don't mind powering down in front of you. I don't think Manu would mind, either? He's very kind. He took me in when he didn't have to. I think... you and Puffy would like him." The Knight smiled softly to Megrez. She was a kind person and he liked her very much.

Gravina's shoulders relaxed when Puffy didn't seem to hold a grudge over nearly being dropped. The Knight truly felt bad about his mistake with Megrez's precious friend.

Looking around to find out whether anyone was watching, the knight found they were alone, for the most part (aside from Manu, who sat on the edge of his peripherals). Closing his eyes, the regalia of Cosmos melted away to be replaced with the soft fabric of a well-loved sweatshirt and pants. Regardless of his form, Gravina's hair was always poofy and ridiculous. With a nervous smile, the young man introduced himself. "It's nice to meet you, Luca. My name is Julian. Um... Manu is nearby. We should let him know we'd like to go to the store. He'd be happy to know... I made a few new friends tonight."
