Takamizawa took off his mask for a bit, letting himself breath in the fresh air. Well, it was cold fresh air, which meant that he would be putting his mask back on soon enough, but either way, it seemed to be very peaceful out tonight.

Currently he was sitting on the edge of a rooftop over a local jazz and coffee place, listening to the music as he kept his guard up for any agents that may have been nearby. December was finally starting to get cold, which mean it would be tougher for him to be going outside to patrol, especially at night. His family would be wondering what the sudden change of heart was to the cold weather, and he still hadn't yet thought of a good excuse.

But at least it did allow him some time out of the house. Even though the semester was over, thank goodness, his father still used every chance that they had together asking why he wasn't doing this or that or whatever else his father wanted, and so getting out of the house was a chance to escape from it. Not that he particularly liked the reason that he had to go out at night, but it was a reason nonetheless.

He hadn't run into too many agents so far. Well he had, but not as much as before. For a destructive force bent on destroying humanity or whatever, one would think it would be a little more... out there. He was sure they hid in the shadows a bit, but one would think if they were that powerful, that they would have taken over the world already. It was a nice little piece of hope that he could hold onto whenever he had doubts as to whether or not he was actually making any sort of difference.

Just then, he felt the tiniest p***k of an aura flare up, one that didn't belong to the White Moon. Time to get to work then. He thought as he stood up, stretched a bit, and jumped to the side of the building that didn't have any windows. He wasn't sure what the Negaverser was doing, but he would go and check it out anyway.

Laodica was searching for information again. She hadn't yet gotten to talk to anyone else on 'her' side, but given what she had already learned from the few people of Order that had been willing to help, she wasn't sure it was actually safe to talk to them anyway. Still, she needed more information, and wanted to meet more people anyway. If she could make more friends it would be wonderful!

So instead of doing the smart thing and moving away when she felt a prickle that she was beginning to recognize meant someone from 'order' was about, she found a place to wait for them. The corrupt had so much luck talking to people instead of fighting them that she was beginning to forget that she might have to fight.

Was everyone on the order side as nice as the people she had met so far? If so, why would anyone want to be on the side that turned you into spiders when you could just get along? Though... if it really was a war, there might be others on Order who wanted to fight, or else there wouldn't be a war. Would there?

Thoughts spinning around in circles, she almost forgot there was someone nearby. Almost.

She still needed to be ready to fight, even if it was the last thing she wanted - it might be the first thing the approaching person wanted!

Kami could tell he was getting closer to the aura. He just had to find them... it was a bit farther away, but near some of the buildings on this block. It was easy enough then, to find the alley where it was coming from, and he quickly stopped, walking in easily. Was it a good idea? No, probably not. If it was someone who had a long-ranged attack he would be hit very easily. But, it's not like he was a super or eternal senshi and could more easily pinpoint where the other was.

He sighed, making sure to have his back to one wall as he looked around the alley, trying to find out where the other senshi was. But... perhaps they thought that they were actually pretty clever and he couldn't sense them? "I know you're there! It's just a matter of time before I find you!" Okay, so he wasn't looking too hard, but they didn't have to know, right?

He tried to discern all of the objects in the alley, but since this was a side with no windows or doors, there were also no lights other than the moon's filtering in. Sometimes Kami wished he could trade in his eyesight for a cat's. Maybe he should find a guardian cat to bring along with him, so they could tell him what they saw.

Alleys, Laodica decided, were not somewhere she wanted to spend much time in. They were narrow and close, and this one in particular smelled kind of like old pizza and dirty socks. But there hadn't been anywhere better to hide, and since this senshi was searching for her, he... might actually want to fight. And since she didn't want to she had tried to hide as best she could.

But on second thought this probably hadn't been the best place to try and do that, so she took a breath and peeled away from the wall. Maybe... maybe he would listen? And if not. Well. If not, she did have her magic! Her magic would probably make him want to fight her less, at least long enough for her to get away.

Still, Laodica felt a lot like she was being... hunted. And that wasn't a feeling she enjoyed at all.

"...You want something, mister?"

Kami thought he saw something move, and so readied himself in case they decided to come out and attack him right away. However, it seemed instead he had found a corrupted senshi who... seemed a bit nervous. He wasn't sure if that nervousness was because she might be scared of him, or if she was excited. Either way, he kept his guard up.

"I'm trying to make sure you don't hurt anyone. I'm not going to attack unless you want a fight, but I also just can't go and ignore you and hope that you don't do anything tonight." After all, it wasn't really fair if only one person wanted to fight, but he would make an exception if he was defending someone else. "It's my duty." One that made him feel a bit more fulfilled in life, which he wasn't sure was a positive or a negative thing, but it at least got him out of the house more often, and that was always a positive in his book.

Laodica tilted her head, watching the order senshi and frowning slightly. If he didn't want to fight, but he couldn't ignore her... "Then what do you plan on doing?" She asked, feeling the slightest flash of irritation. She wasn't an aggressive person, but was the stranger just planning on standing here all night? It didn't sound like he was going to let her leave, which meant if she wanted to get out of here, to get away...

Bleh. She really didn't want it to come to that, but her options seemed pretty limited right now. "Standing around in an alley staring at a person isn't very nice!" Then again neither was actually fighting with someone, or threatening them, and - why did people keep thinking she was bad?!? Wrong side or right side, couldn't she still be a good person regardless of allegiance?

...It didn't really sound like it, the way people kept reacting. Maybe she should try to be scary, and everyone would realize she wasn't? Reverse psychology? She could do that! ... Probably.

"You can't keep me here forever! I have things to do! Um, evil things! Lots of them!"

"Well, as much as I don't want to fight. If you do try to do something I'll have to intervene and stop you in whatever way possible." Kami replied, taking a more relaxed pose against the wall, and crossing his arms and legs. "You can always just leave, You just can't do those, 'evil' things you were thinking of doing." She certainly didn't sound confident in herself, so clearly she had probably either been forcibly recruited into the Negaverse, had somehow been convinced to join, or joined eagerly without knowing what she was really going into. "And I'm not here to be nice. Nice and doing the right thing aren't always the same. So if I have to be 'mean', I will be."

He started to walk toward her. "And while I'm sure you have some magic of your own, mine hurts. It won't do permanent damage, but if I need to use it I will." He wouldn't say how much it hurt, but it did, and he would use it if he had to.

"You make it sound like I'm some kind of... skulky skulker creeper person," Laodica huffed, folding her arms over her chest and scowling."When you're the one who followed me like one of those." Alright, so insults weren't her forte, but she was beginning to get a little irritated. After all, even if she was supposed to be one of the bad guys (and maybe she even was, if by technicality more than choice or personality), she didn't have to be creepy!

As he advanced toward her, the pink-haired corrupt held her ground. She had to make contact to be able to use her own magic, after all, and using that was her best opportunity to get away. So... she had to let him get close, even if it frightened her. Drawing in a breath, Laodica bit her lip and shifted to something kind of approximating a ready stance - or at least what she thought might look like one, based on some of the movies and T.V. shows she had seen.

... And after this, she was going to have to be more careful abobut where she went and when.

"I like to think of it more as the detective tracking down the bad guy or gathering evidence. Though mostly I'm just trying to stop you." Definitely inexperienced. He thought to himself. Why these types joined the Negaverse willingly he would never know. Perhaps they felt like they should be taken more seriously or something.

He walked towards her a bit, but stopped a few feet away from her. He could see her a bit more clearly now, and she didn't exactly look intimidating. He had seen more intimidating corrupted senshi before. The stance she was in made him raise an eyebrow since it looked like she hadn't ever done it before. "Look, you don't look too experienced, go home before I have to use an attack on you." Though he still thought it was a bit ridiculous that they had to call them out. It just made it so the enemy would know what to do the second time around.

Go home? He was blocking her way out - at least insomuch as Laodica could see it. He was doing an awful lot of posturing, too... did he really want to fight? Or was he going to because he thought he had to? It was tough to guess, and even tougher to try to think up some kind of plan of action when she just didn't know what to do. It sure didn't seem like she was going to be able to get out of here without some kind of conflict, though - not when he seemed sure she was right in the middle of something nefarious.

Was she? She might have been, now that she thought about it. If she was supposed to be evil maybe she just was and didn't... know it? Hm.... A puzzling thought, and one better left for when she didn't have a potential (probable?) fight on her hands.

"You have me in an alley," she said, raising an eyebrow. And people thought she was the silly one! "I can't go home without going past you." Not that she wanted to go home, anyway. "So - can we just get this over with?" Really, there was no point in drawing it out. If they had to fight, they might as well just do it.

... ugh this was all so dumb. Dumber than - than sticking upside-down umbrellas in your yard to keep the rain away! (A smart person knew that you had to put them in right-side up, after all.) Maybe if she just... marched up and slapped him? It had worked in the last fight she'd gotten stuck in...

So she tried to do just that, palm up and at the ready. Maybe if she swatted hard enough he'd just let her go!

I feel like I should apologize for Laodica being... Laodica.

I would have moved out of the way if you had just asked. He thought, after he had listened to her complaining about how 'trapped' she was. It's not as though he couldn't move or wouldn't let her past.

However, it seemed that she felt as though there was only one answer to all of this, and that was to fight. However, what he didn't expect was the hand to shoot up and try to slap him. But, using his skills from his self-defense classes, he grabbed her arm, and twisted himself around her, and pushed her in the direction that she wanted to go. Or at least tried to, who knew if one could really do it in such a dirty alleyway such as this one. But if she wanted to get past him and wanted a fight, well if she really wanted the fight, he would fight her.

This... was both what Laodica expected and also entirely not what she expected at the same time. The last mostly-fight she had gotten into had been with someone as reluctant (and ill-trained) as she was. This person... was not. She squeaked in surprise as she was twisted forward, stumbling as she was pushed, and frustrated tears escaped her as she wiggled away. She didn't understand this... this stupid war. She was supposed to be bad and evil and want to fight, or... or something like that? Wasn't she?

But it was all just... awful. Awful and she hated it, and she didn't know what she was supposed to do any more. Couldn't someone just make this all go away?

"Stop," she managed to say, though it was more sob than words. "Please. I'm sorry."

Kami was a bit taken aback at how easily the senshi seemed to dissolve into crying, and he wondered why the heck they would recruit someone who didn't seem to be any good at this anyway or even wanted to be evil. He thought for a moment that she might be faking, but... in his years of being a properly-honed narcissist, he knew he could tell when someone was faking or not and this girl was not faking it.

"Uh... Look, I won't follow you if you just go on your way. I just don't want to see you draining anyone. I'll stay here and when you're far enough away, I'll go away." Honestly, he wasn't sure what he was supposed to do at this point, but even if she was actually upset, he couldn't just leave her. She might get her wits about her again and then go back to what she was doing. All he wanted her to do was go away and power down and that would be then end of all of this.

We can end it in a couple more posts if you want!

Having just about had enough of this mess by now, Laodica was quick to nod and pull away from the order senshi. She'd tried the whole 'being evil' thing out and it just didn't work - or maybe she was just that bad at it? Either way, she wasn't good at fighting and didn't really think she wanted to be. So... so maybe it was okay that this guy was just going to let her go? Maybe he wasn't as mean as he'd seemed?

Or maybe he just didn't care, which was sad because how could you not care how somebody else felt? That didn't make sense to her, and yet she knew there were people like that out there. Well, regardless, he was letting her go, which was a good thing. All she wanted right now was to go back to her room and hide under the blankets for a while, so he got what he wanted tonight. And... and she had things to think about, anyway.

"Okay," she said, and stumbled back toward the alley's entrance. "I'll do that." She hadn't wanted to be trapped in the first place, but... well, Laodica knew she wasn't very good at communicating, anyway. She didn't quite run away from the alley, but she did move quickly, trying to put distance between herself and the person she'd just fought, only powering down when she felt it was okay to risk it.

Maybe, if she was lucky, she would never run into that senshi again.

Sachio nodded when she agreed to go. "I won't stop you." He said, and watched her go out of the alley and in the opposite direction that she had been headed in. He sighed for what felt like the millionth time and scratched his head. Honestly, what was someone like that doing in the Negaverse? She would have to be a lot tougher if she wanted to survive in there! At least according to the attitudes of all of the other agents he had met so far.

He found a spot to power down in, and decided that going home and taking a nap after such an experience was the best idea.
