As always, all NSTG Rules apply. Plagiarism (and I will check) is grounds for getting banned and reported.
Submit your entries to me via this survey before Tuesday, Dec. 26th. The information and instructions you need are all there.
Please don't post in this thread to say you've submitted; the whole point of the survey submission process is fair judging via anonymity!

I think poetry is the de rigueur for this year's NTSG creative writing contests XDD
I am noooo good at poetry.
I did give it a go, and I suppose, well, poetry's supposed to make you feel stuff and I felt stuff so pass/fail, I guess it passes.
However, even if it's poetry, doesn't make it good. It's amazing how some people are so good at stuff that's so alien to me XDD

That's ok! I believe that we all have poets inside of us, and I applaud you for trying! emotion_bigheart

Ebania That's ok! I believe that we all have poets inside of us, and I applaud you for trying! emotion_bigheart Thanks ^^ I dunno if there's a poet inside me, the struggling novelist is very vicious and probably cannibalised any other creativity, except embroiderer, because she has needles and knows how to use them XD

These three were the only entries I received!
If your poem is posted here, go ahead and send me a PM with the answer to the question you answered in the survey where you submitted: "What is the first name of the best teacher or professor you've ever had?"
Grand Prize ⋯ Won 4,000p
I’m sorry Christmas shattered, the way that it was I’m sorry for your face when you really saw it I’m sorry you hadn’t noticed how bad it was until the pieces scattered around your feet Or how long it was declining.
I’m sorry I remember how it used to be I’m sorry that you remember, too I’m sorry about the reminders on all the screens about how everyone else has it better We both know the screens are lying.
I’m sorry I always preferred it how it is now I’m sorry I saw it coming I’m sorry you’ve accepted it; you were so unhappy before, but when you said ‘I love what we have’ You were smiling.
I’m sorry that I’m not sorry that our holidays are just us I’m happy you feel the same Holidays should be about peace, love, and fun, and with you, they always are Without even trying
Two Runners-Up ⋯ Won 2,000p each
if people were vases I knew I couldn’t compare to the hourglass figures you gave flowers to. I’ve been dropped broken again and again and for years I wondered if the scar I wore was the reason I couldn’t find someone to grow flowers inside of me.
but the seeds were there all along all I needed was someone to see what I could be not what I once was -
so I let my flowers bloom filled my emptiness with gold and if I break again I will know how to put myself back together
It is your flaws that make you interesting. It is your mistakes that teach you the most. It is your trials that bring you wisdom. It is your challenges that build your inner strength. It is your broken heart that gives you the power to heal another broken heart.
Of all the embellishments you wear, clothes, make-up, jewelry, tattoos, It is your open gaze and sincere smile that make you beautiful.
Even if they shine through tears.

I suspected as much! I'm guessing that the name of your favorite teacher starts with a B?
