Physical Description: E'ros stands a solid 6'1". He has a trim build with wiry muscles. While he is in good shape, his frame could is a bit softer with age compared to some of the more well-sculpted younger men. That doesn't bother him any, nor he would note, his multitude of lovers. He has thick blue-black hair that is quite long and often kept in some sort of style, or dyed in some scandalous color. Large, green-blue eyes are placed under well thick black brows, and he's almost always clean shaven His skin is pale, though he's known to have more than a few tattoos and piercings for any who have gotten him undressed. E'ros certainly falls on the more androgynous spectrum, and as a Master Courtesan, uses that well to his advantage. He cleans up well, and is always most fashionably dressed.
Personality: E'ros is the sort of man who is self-assured and ever confident. He walks with a head held high, and isn't the sort to look visibly flustered or hurt -- even when his heart might well be breaking. He is the sort of man who to look at life through rose-colored goggles; try as the world might to bring him down, this man has a belief that everything will work out in the end. It is this sort of confidence that draws others to him, luckily enough for E'ros! His self-confidence allows him to speak to anyone without fear or concern, and it's safe to note that the blue rider could never be considered shy. Words come easily to him, though at least half of his words are likely some sort of flirtation or laced with innuendo and charm.
At his heart of hearts, E'ros is a lover of love, and will always be. As a youth he walked around with his head in the clouds, dreaming up romantic endings for himself, and his friends. Even as a Courtesan, he always thought of the million different happy endings, and ways to better satisfy his clients. If he could be their living dream, even for a moment, then that was more than fine with him. Age and experience hasn't embittered him -- if anything, the tragedy and setbacks many Pernese suffered only made that romantic burn grow hotter and brighter.
Ah, but E'ros is certainly not a man without his flaws. Though he is a good man, his confidence, and his many successes, has lead him down a road of vanity and conceit. He can't help but think highly of himself. The world should revolve around E'ros, and that's just fine by him. When he's not thinking of matches and how to brighten someone else's day, you can bet E'ros is taking in every comfort and convenience he can! Marks are as important to him as his looks, and living a lavish and comfortable lifestyle is high on his list of demands.
Primadonna tendencies aside, E'ros can have a sharp and scathing tongue. While he can seduce and make many a man and woman to swoon, he can just as easily castigate and tear into those around him. When push comes to shove, E'ros has no problem telling someone exactly what he thinks of them, and exactly where they can sod off! His impulsive nature doesn't help him in these states of riled up irritation -- he often acts first, or speaks first, and only then thinks about the situation. This has lost him some friends -- and some clients -- but E'ros isn't the sort to change. If he feels the need to call and spade a spade, then he will do so.

History: E'ros, once known as Emiros, was a child with unknown and questionable origins. He was one of many children who were given up to one of the multitude of creche's in Rivercrest Hold -- though it's clear from his appearance his parents were originally from the Northern Continent. His upbringing wasn't as bad as some had it; though he grew up a bit more wild and had to compete with the other children for food, attention, and care, he was better off than those out on the streets. The friends he made came and went at their leisure; some of the boys and girls would disappear and never return; others were fostered out or adopted. For Emirose, he dreamed of the day he'd find his family -- maybe the Lord Holder himself would come in and pick him out above the rest. A life of luxury would be most divine. Or maybe a Pirate, who needed to raise a competent First Mate, and who would give him their ship upon their death. A lonely scullery maid in want of a son to spoil? An old Uncle looking for a strapping young boy to tell stories to and to claim as a son? Emiros had his imagination go wild.... but alas, none of his dreams came to pass.
At Turn eight, he took to begging and thieving on the streets for marks for extra food. At Turn ten, stealing from the wrong woman turned out to be the best thing he'd ever done. The woman -- a Dame of one of Rivercrest's many brothels -- caught him by the wrist. Though she made sure to punish him -- the first rule about thieving is to ensure you don't get caught -- she did bring him back to her establishment to wash him, feed him a hearty meal, and to teach him a thing or two about pick-pocketing. Some of the local brothel women and men cooed over the child, and he was unofficially adopted and apprenticed by those who worked at Timor's Delight.
It was harmless enough work -- he'd clean bathing chambers, a small dining hall, and helped fold laundry or bring packages and gifts to the older Courtesans. Some of them were unofficially trained, and they worked the lower level rooms; but those who were Journeymen Courtesans often worked in the nicer, loftier floors. Emiros fell in love with the idea of being a Courtesan; while he knew darn well what many of them DID, he also enjoyed seeing the beautiful men and women on the arms of clients. Those at Timor's Delight often held parties, and men and women from all over Rivercrest and beyond often found themselves attending one of their dances and entertainments. Actors, actresses, people of wealth, even those who had to scrimp and save to buy an invitation.... Ah, Emiros found it all lovely.
At Turn fourteen, he was surprised by signing a contract with Timor's Delight. If he studied hard and promised to return to work at the brothel, they would send him to the Courtesan Hall to officially train. Emiros jumped at the opportunity.
The Courtesan Hall took him in, and there he began to study the art of becoming a true Courtesan.
He walked-the-tables at Turn 19, and as with the Hall's blessing, returned to Timor's Delight. There, Emiros worked as a Courtesan until his 24th Turn. Then, something surprising happened. He had been paid to escort a particularly prestigious Holder's daughter to a Hatching on the Northern Continent. He was meant to ensure no suitors came her way, and wasn't to lay a finger on her; that was just as well -- he didn't care what they did so long as he got his marks. Ah, but what he did not expect was for a gorgeous blue dragon to Hatch and call out to him from the Stands!
Beloved Emiros... Come down from there! You need no longer walk this world alone or with such shallow loves. Come to your Amoranth, and let us never be parted.
The love that Amoranth gave him was the sort of love that he had always yearned for, but never found. He hadn't known how badly he needed his beautiful blue until that moment; how lonely he had truly been despite having a healthy social- and very active love-life. In fact, Amoranth is E'ros greatest love and most precious possession. There is nothing he'd deny his blue, nothing he wouldn't find a way to get for him.
This put an end to his contract with Timor's Delight. Weyrlng Training was a bit of a blur for the man. He had never, ever, experienced a bond like Amoranths, and unlike some of the Candidates, had no time to prepare for the changes Impression would bring. The love, adoration, and support was something he'd always desired, always yearned for, and now he had it every moment. The beautiful blue was the missing piece he'd always wanted, the family he'd dreamed about, was better than any sort of romance he'd ever had, and his most precious, and dearest friend. The blue truly was his lifemate, and any insecurity or uncertainty E'ros felt was washed away by love. He made friends with his fellow weyrlings, and even spent a few Turns in Benden Weyr -- but the man soon returned to his Courtesan roots.
Returning to the Western Continent, he put himself up for open assignment through the Courtesan Hall. For much of his life, the Courtesan continued his craft. Having a dragon proved to both help and hinder his career; on the one hand, certain Holds and brothels couldn't provide for a fully grown blue dragon! On the other hand, he could go with ease to visit clients anywhere on Pern -- not just in a particular area. Where some opportunities and areas were closed to him, others opened up; some brothels enjoyed the idea of having a blue dragon to draw in visitors and guests to the brothel, or at least close enough so some of the Courtesans could charm them.
For much of his life E'ros dedicated himself to his Hall, his craft, and his dragon. He worked at many brothels over the Turns and all over Pern -- some for Turns at a time, others as temporary jobs. He became quite popular as a lover, but also as a matchmaker. Yes, as he aged, and wtth Amoranth's penchant for meddling, E'ros also began to offer relationship advice, and even blind dates, for some of his clients. He is the sort of man who believes everyone has a great love affair meant for them -- no client is too ugly, too poor, too unfortunate, too awkward -- for him to set up. He doesn't believe in loneliness. For those who are waiting for their OTP, E'ros will happily give them a piece of his heart for safe-keeping; and, assuming they're interested, will travel all over Pern to find them their perfect match. In more recent Turns, Amoranth has mimicked his rider, and is happy to try to find pairs for the lonely hearted dragons out there.
E'ros has loved many, and has broken just as many hearts. He has let all of his loves know that he is not a man to be tamed, and though some have tried, none have been successful.
Four Turns ago, he walked-the-tables to become a Master Courtesan, recognized for his art of matchmaking and excellent experience in the art of seduction and entertaining. He's taken many young Courtesans under his figurative wing, and has taught at both the Hall and other brothels. Since Thread returned, though Amoranth has felt it his duty to fight, E'ros . . . has not yet been convinced. He's never trained for Threadfall, and selfishly, doesn't want to risk his beloved's life -- or his own.
But there is a churning of guilt within the man. Others have sacrificed for Pern... have given their lives, their limbs, their everything for the cause. Would one blue really make a difference? Mph. For now, E'ros steers clears of Thread when he can. He visits both the Weyrs and has clients and lovers in each... and yet... if he were to request a transfer -- which one would he choose? And would he feel stifled?
The future is now uncertain for the Courtesan, but for now, he carries on. He has good work to do, after all.
Other: He has opened and still owns a few high-class brothels out there. One is in Rivercrest Hold, another is in Bitra.
He likely has many children out there. In fact, it's also a service he's offered. Any children that are brought to his attention are cared for as best he can though he has no trouble putting them in the creche due to his lifestyle. He will visit those that he can, provided the mother and child are interested.

Physical Description: Amoranth is a large blue, but very svelte and sleek. He considers him quite a handsome character, and has long headknobs, and delicate front feet. His tail is long, perhaps a little longer than a dragon's should be, but he thinks it gives him a more graceful air. He'd also be right.
Personality: Amoranth is a lover. Like his rider, he sees the world through rose-colored glasses, and encourages the best in everyone. A bad situation is never so bad they can't get out of it; and romance is always in the air when Amoranth is around. He loves to meddle into the affairs of those around him. What's the latest gossip, love? Who's heart needs mending and tending by him? And who needs to find their beloved someone? This blue absolutely loves love -- if he finds someone with a mate, he will happily ask all the proper questions, and want to know the story. To complicate matters, like his rider, Amoranth tends to give pieces of his heart to all those in need. Who wants to be snuggled with Amoranth? He's happy to love any and all that come his way; he is also flexible in how he might be needed. Do they need a shoulder and ear and comfort? Simple snuggles? Maybe a rebound from a broken heart? Or just some pure, unadulterated--- yes, well, that is Amoranth.
Like his rider, he has many mates, though they know he comes and goes, like a sailor on the sea. Still, he tries to check in when he can, and treats them with all the love he can give them when he does come to town.
Lately, he's felt a call to return to the Weyr, to fight with his kin... but he has not pushed E'ros. Not yet. He hopes, in time though, he will be able to help defend his loves against the Enemy. For now, he can only wish them all well.
