This isn't right.

It was colder than she thought it would be. A lot colder. Soleil shivered where she stood in the sand, goosebumps racing up and down her bare arms and legs, as a cool wind whipped her hair around her face. It looked completely different than the first time she'd been there, almost a polar opposite. All blues and blacks and long shadows, instead of the searing heat the Sahara was known for.

She shivered as the wind cut right through the thin t-shirt she'd worn to bed that night, sinking down into a huddling crouch. Trying to keep whatever warmth she could for herself even as the chill of the desert leeched it away.

"B-bjorn." She could barely speak past the chattering of her teeth. "Why a-are we her--re?" How had they gotten there? The Death lead again? No. no...
