Takamizawa knew that he had to get to know some of his other fellow senshi, and what better way to do it than a little sparring? Okay maybe talking, but those usually got boring, because they usually weren't talking about how amazing he was.

They were just jealous.

But nonetheless, Kami had put out the call that he needed a partner for a spar and he wanted to practice his self defense skills. So this would mostly be a defensive fight rather than an offensive one, since he knew he needed to spar against people who weren't in his classes. If he could predict what the enemy did, then how would he get any better?

Currently he was waiting for... who was it again? Deuces? D*****? Poly? Well whoever it was, Kami was waiting for him in one of the empty paved, and salted lots around the city. Why they didn't just tear up the pavement and put some grass on it was beyond him since it wasn't being used, but it made for a good sparring area, especially since it was a bit out of the way and they would be less likely to be spotted here.

Kami was a bit surprised when the other senshi finally came into view. He had to admit though that the outfit did suit the other, though it looked like it would be really warm during the summer. He nodded, smiling, though the emotion couldn't be seen through his mask. "Yes. You can call me Kami though. It is a pretty long name." And he preferred the shorter name anyway. It showed that he was at least as important as people thought he was. He held his hand out to the other. "Polydeuces, it's nice to meet you, though do you have a nickname you like to go by?" Deuces's name was long too, and Kami would much prefer a shorter version if one was available.

"I'm hoping this spar will be a learning experience for both of us." Or at least he was wanting to practice his skills a bit against someone else who wasn't trying to kill him. It was really hard to practice fighting when you were just trying to defend yourself from having your starseed stolen.

Kami thought about it for a moment. There really wasn't a way to shorten the other's name that sounded good. Kami's obviously could be shortened to something that suited someone like him, but Polydeuces? "All right, I'll just call you Poly then." Short and easy at least. Though they weren't here to discuss naming conventions, after all, they didn't get to choose their powered names after all.

He watched Poly as the other senshi did some stretching. Kami had done some while he was waiting. "We can do it that way. Most of my battles so far have been street scuffles, though with the feeling of having to win or save your skin since most of the agents I've come across have wanted to kill me." Of course, most of the agents he had gone against also seemed to be the ones who didn't quite have their heads on right. He hoped that more of his fellow White Moon senshi would be a bit more there.

"They usually don't last very long though, mostly I've either run into them accidentally or it's been while trying to keep them from draining someone." The latter happened less often than he thought it would, but one still needed to be prepared. He smiled at the other's observation. "True, we don't need to go all out for a spar between us. Just some experience will be good enough. I did my stretches while waiting though, so we'll start whenever you're ready."

Kami tried to hide a smile, but failed. "Well, I mean maybe you just want to give me a different nickname? One you wouldn't use in real life but doesn't sound silly when powered?" Kami like the fact that his name could be shortened so easily, but he could also have done 'Taka' which he had decided just wouldn't do, which is why he introduced himself as Kami so early usually.

"Yeah, sometimes I just try not to think about it." But he still had a duty to fulfill, and if he couldn't get out of the funk of feeling like he was failing, then how was he ever going to be better? A good ally to his fellow senshi? A savior of the world?!

It was a while later, and Kami could feel sweat coming off of him. They had been sparring for a while now, and although Poly was a bit clumsy at first, the other senshi seemed to get the hang of it, and at the end they were doing pretty well when it came to hitting, blocking, defense, and everything else. Kami panted a bit. "Well, uh, Po? I think that's good enough. You were really good! I'm pretty worn out now." He certainly was! Perhaps it was because they had been powered up, but he felt tired than his usual spars at his self-defense classes! "You want to call it a night?"
