Closet and drawers were emptied out in a frenzy of tidying up as Clarity went through her things. As she held up a sweater, she marveled at how tiny she’d been when she’d first been enrolled in the Academy. No wonder Zella had been known to occasionally laugh a little and shake her head whenever they’d gone shopping for clothes. Hooves clacking ever so slightly on the floor as the young baphomet carried the sweater over to the pile she’d marked as going towards one of the local charity drives, Clarity sighed softly. As an old piece of clothing had so pointedly made it clear, she was growing up. And she still had no idea what she wanted to study as she advanced in her classes. She wasn’t particularly good at anything specifically. As for hobbies, she simply enjoyed quietly writing in her journals and playing with her pets. She certainly wasn’t outgoing.
Come to think on it, only Zella and her pets ever really heard her talk. She tended towards silent absorption in class. So, what could a willingly mute girl do in life? Where could her preference for quiet actually be put towards some good? There was always the library, but… Clarity’s nose wrinkled slightly in distaste. Not that she disliked the library, but she didn’t want to work in one for the rest of her life. With another sigh, Clarity sorted through the clothes she’d piled upon the floor and simply thought hard. She knew she liked writing. And what was more, she was fairly good at it. For now, she would focus on that. After all, she was still young. She could always change her mind later if she needed to.
