Itsuki couldn't stem the catlike instinct to chase bugs around the ground, and so he was skittering this way and that, tail fluffed and twitching, trying to touch a mouse with his paw in a game not unlike the game of tag human children play. He had no desire to eat the mouse because fish tasted much better! But still, it felt good to run and play and--

Oh!

Was that a senshi!? Itsuki had a job to do that didn't involve playing tag with mice, and so he poofed up and turned around to find a senshi he'd never seen before. Itsuki considered himself... well, less than impressive when compared to the Silver Lady. He worked hard! He had some senshi under his belt! The Mauvian tried settling his fur was Sadachibia approached. "Oi! Konbanwa, Senshi-san! There's no youma or Negaverse agents out here tonight. How are you? Are you hungry, Senshi-san? Watashi wa Itsuki desu~"

Itsuki couldn't forget his manners! It was important to be a good Guardian at all times, even with senshi he didn't yet know!

"Hai~! I'm Itsuki! And um... no, I was actually just playing tag with the mouse. I don't want to eat them. I can't imagine they'd taste very good, but probably better than canned cat food. I'd love some real food though! Do you happen to have any on you, Senshi-san? Hmm..." Itsuki raised a paw to his furry chin. "I've never seen you before, Senshi-san. It's nice to meet you!"

The Mauvian gave Sadachbia the telltale face-squish that let humans know a cat happened to like them. "What are you doing out so late, Senshi-san? Are you on patrol? Oh!" It was something about her starseed, something Itsuki had recognized with Themisto and Thisbe in the past.

There was something inside Sadachbia, brimming with energy. It was a beautiful sight and very distinctive. Itsuki seemed distracted by it, eyes focusing somewhere on Sadachbia's chest. "Hmm, Senshi-san... You're very powerful! I think... I think we can access more power now! If you want to, that is!"

"Hmmm Sada-chan," Itsuki raised a paw to his face, contemplating. He was desperate for food, but hated the idea of bribing a senshi in exchange for it. It was his duty, after all, to guide and empower the senshi of the city. His tiny tummy growled in response and Itsuki made quite an embarrassed face because of it. "Uwah, gomen nasai, Sada-chan. I will do the upgrade for you! Onegai, let me see your henshin pen~?"

Thankfully, Itsuki had some previous experience when it came to performing Senshi upgrades. The first was Themisto, completely by accident. Since then, he'd also upgrades Lacrimosa's senshi cellphone, assisted in Thisbe's upgrade, and had awakened several others. The tiny lilac point knew he had quite a long road ahead of him if he were to impress the Silver Lady, but each step put him one toe-bean closer to that goal.

And the ability to open cans whenever he wanted!

Once Sadachbia's henshin pen was ready and in-hand, Itsuki got to work. Much concentration was needed to transform the pen from its base state to that which would grant a senshi additional power. Lilac energy coalesced into a beam that fired from the star-shaped spot on Itsuki's head, landing squarely on the pen. Slowly, but surely, the pen started to physically change form while until the influence of the beam. Its ovular top, sporting Sadachbia's signature emblem, had contracted and produced five equal points - a star. The shape of the base itself changed slightly, flaring out at the bottom, and a small crownlike decoration formed just below the star to complete the transformation.

Itsuki shook his head to clear his vision, fur puffing up against the cold. "Kirakira, Sada-chan! All done! Now you shout, Sadachbia Star Power, Make Up! Try it, Sada-chan! Try it!"

Itsuki practically beamed at Sadachbia, not only for the upgrade, but for the language with which she gave thanks. "Kochirakoso arigatoo gozaimasu~" he chirped in return. If there was one thing Itsuki had learned in his time with his original Japanese family, it was to be humble. Instead of telling Sadachbia that she was welcome, Itsuki instead thanked her. (Not that she might know that, but still!)

"Good job, Sada-chan! Now you're stronger and faster than you were before! Super Sailor Sadachbia! Kirakira! You look great, Sada-chan! I'm so proud of you~ You worked hard, and your starseed was overflowing with power to show for it~ We Mauvians can see that, so I'm very honored you asked me for help. It's a pleasure to meet you, Sada-chan~"

As much as any cat could, Itsuki flattened himself on the ground in the best approximation of a bow he could muster. With one more powerful senshi patrolling the city, the citizens would be just a little bit safer tonight.

"Uwah, Sada-chan... I hate to ask, but... can you drop me off somewhere to get some food? I'm very hungry." Ears drooping, Itsuki tried not to whine but it was incredibly difficult with his tummy yelling at him. "Or better yet, could we get dinner? I'd like to keep talking to you, Sada-chan. If you don't mind~"

"Oh, Sada-chan, you've been working hard for a very long time! Don't worry, Themi-chan has been working a very long time too, before he became Super. You're not the only one! Sometimes it takes a long time for someone's starseed to be ready for more power, though... That probably doesn't make the wait any easier..." Itsuki hadn't really thought about it, since Mauvians were the ones to unlock that power. They themselves never had to worry too much about the ins and outs, rather the yes or no of the whole process. A starseed either did or did not appear to be ready for additional power.

Sadachbia's offerings of a variety of food made the Mauvian vibrate with excitement. "Anything sounds good, Sada-chan. If they have a drive-thru or tables, I can hide while we eat~ I'd like to know what you've been up to! I'm kind of new in the city, and I'd like to meet as many senshi as possible~" Dutifully the Mauvian followed along on the senshi's heels, the pair of them chatting about Sadachbia's adventures before they'd met, well into the night.
