It had seemed like a good night to get a coffee. Or rather a hot chocolate. And it seemed like a good night to go and sit in the park to drink it. Of course when you decided to just sit in one of the many parks of Destiny City, you always ran the risk of meeting with someone…or something that was magical…and considering her present…condition…it might have just been smarter to go home with her hot chocolate and curl up on the couch with the Hallmark Channel and her dog…and her daughter…though Chloe had been put to bed twenty minutes before Raven left the apartment.
She had told Jett that she would be back in just a few minutes…but it was such a nice night out that she had no real drive to…well. Drive.
There was a gentle breeze that felt nice when it hit her face, and Raven was glad that winter hadn’t fully set in quite yet…even though she was dressed for it, the clothing she was wearing actually kept out the chill.
The sound of something nearby made her pause, cup nearly at her lips and glance around, frowning slightly and standing. She would have to bluff her way out of a situation if it was someone from the Negaverse…perhaps though it was a senshi and the conversation would be easy…or maybe it was just a raccoon.
There were normal things out at night, not just magical ones.
Drawing in a breath Raven tried to force her heart to slow, not wanting the sudden feeling of panic to affect the baby growing in her stomach, when finally she saw just who had made the noise. It was a senshi. A Dark Mirror senshi…one that Raven had never seen before.
A smile formed on her face, and she all but forgot that she wasn’t powered. “Oh! Hey there! Are you new? I haven’t met you before…I love your fuku…it looks so warm!” She was a senshi who seemed as though she would be perfect for this time of year!
At least, perfect with the fact that part of the outfit looked as though it was made of a comfy sweater…she still had the awful exposed shoulders and arms like almost all of the girls in the group did…it didn’t make for an easy winter. “I’m Les…” She paused, glancing down at her clothes. Her civilian clothes. “Uh…I’m Raven…and you must think I’m a nutter.”

There had been no real reason for it. Not a single one. But Madge - no, she was Elodie! - found herself with this weird new alter ego thing that came with a ridiculously cute uniform (fuku?) and she just liked to wear it. She knew she probably shouldn't just wander around in it, that there were probably other things she should be doing but...
She really had no idea what she was supposed to be doing. Oops. Well, maybe if she wandered around some more she would run into someone who knew more than she did. If she was lucky, they could point her in the direction she needed to go.
It was supposed to be winter but so far it wasn't very cold. Her fuku kept her pretty warm, except for the bits of her arms that were bare. She was not looking forward to summer in this getup though. Regardless, it was a good night for a stroll through the park!
Unfortunately while she was making her way through the park she yawned and stretched and promptly tripped over a root that was raised out of the ground. Cursing under her breath, Elodie righted herself without falling flat on her butt - always a plus! Especially when one was wearing a skirt.
She turned to continue on her way when a voice stopped her. Elodie froze, eyeing the woman with a little confusion. New? Yes. Yes she was. But what if they were talking about two entirely different things? But she apparently knew what a fuku was so she must have some idea. "Yep. I'm new. And it is, thanks!" she said with a smile. It was nice to know she wasn't the only one who thought she made this fuku look good.
"Well, maybe just a little," she said and laughed a little. "I'm uh...Elodie." She almost gave her real name, oops! "But crazy can be fun. And you know what this thing is called," she plucked at the transparent cape thing and shrugged. "So you can't be crazy about that, anyway!"

Raven grinned. Well, at least she wasn’t being attacked by this senshi…talking was good. She liked talking. “I’m…I know the Dark Mirror Court well, I promise. I just…you know. Right now’s a difficult time for me since…I can’t really do much for the Court right now…” She paused, glancing around, hoping that the two of them were alone. “Why don’t you come and sit with me, Elodie, I’d like to hear about everything you’ve experienced so far!”
She glanced around once again and dropped her voice to a whisper. “I’m a part of the court…I just can’t power up right now because I’m going to be having another child, but…I’m Sailor Lesath in my uh…non pregnant days…and I’m very excited to meet you. If you have any questions or anything, I’m more than willing to answer them or to help you out, and perhaps you would maybe like to come over and talk to my fiancé as well, he’s Sailor Remarque and I know he just wants the court to succeed, so…yeah. Wow that was a lot of information at once, I hope I haven’t scared you away…I just get excited.”

Elodie glanced down at the baby bump Raven was sporting. That made sense, she guessed. "Oh. Well, that's good to know, I suppose." For the future, anyway. She was in no rush to have kids. She wanted to finish high school and go to college.
"Uh, sure, sounds good." She really hadn't experienced much, so she wasn't sure what she could tell her. Elodie blew out a breath and relaxed a little. "Awesome because I have SO many questions," she said and laughed a little. A small smile curved her lips when Raven mentioned her fiance. "So he's a senshi, too? That must be so much easier than if he wasn't." Orangeish Sherbert Hey sorry it's taken me so long, I've just been struggling with my new job and today was my day off <3 Also sorry it's a crappy tag x3;;

Raven nodded eagerly, standing up and holding out a hand to the senshi. “If you want to power down, we can head to my place and have a nice long talk…or if you’re not comfortable with that, Jett and I can meet you somewhere more public, I can see how it might be awkward to just head to some stranger’s house, with no pretext when I can’t even prove that what I’m saying is the truth.”
She tucked a lock of hair behind her ear and shivered slightly as a cold breeze blew. “I’m excited to meet you, though. Just so you’re aware. It’s so nice to know that there are others out there who need some guidance…what do you like to eat? If you do decide to come over, I’ll make you a really nice dinner, or we could meet somewhere and we’ll buy you a nice meal…” Drawing in a breath, Raven gave a very apologetic grin. “Sorry, I’m going off into full mom mode. Tell me what you’d like, Elodie, and I’ll make sure to make it happen.”

Elodie blinked at the offered hand and chewed her lip thoughtfully. Her parents had, of course, told her not to trust strangers but clearly her parents had no idea that weird people with powers were running around Destiny City. It wasn't like she could ask them about this stuff. And Raven seemed nice enough, offering to help her learn more about the court and even offering to feed her. She was totally a mom, but something about that made her relax.
She laughed a little and shook her head. "No, no, you're fine. I just don't have a lot of experience with other court members, y'know?" she said. But she felt like she could trust Raven and, by extension, her fiancé. So she powered down.
"I'm Madge, by the way," she said. "My favorite food is broccoli, actually." She grinned; most people were surprised that she liked the tree-shaped vegetable as much as she did.

Raven’s eyes utterly sparkled when the senshi powered down and she nodded. “Madge. It’s an absolute pleasure to meet you…Broccoli, hm? I have a pretty good recipe for broccoli cheese soup that I’ve been waiting to try…my daughter’s getting to the stage where she’s starting to refuse foods, but so far I’ve been pretty good to get her to eat…but…”
She broke off, thoughtful as she started planning a menu for when Madge would come over. Raven blinked after a moment and then drew out her phone. “What’s your number? We can plan a good time to do this! I want to talk to Jett first—that’s Remarque’s name, Jett…but I want to tell him all about you, he’ll be so excited.”
Opening up a new text message, the blonde looked eagerly at Madge, ready to make all of this official. She did wonder though, who had brought this girl into the court? Hadn’t they told her about Remarque…? She could understand not mentioning Lesath…what with months and months of not being active due to Chloe, and her job…she could understand being forgotten…but Remarque was always there. Doing the work for the both of them.

"She sounds precocious," Madge said with a little laugh as she pulled her phone out to exchange numbers. "Have you tried getting her to pretend she's a dinosaur and the broccoli is trees she can destroy for food?" It was how her mother had gotten her to eat her vegetables. Madge had been obsessed with dinosaurs when she was little.
She smiled, starting to get as excited as Raven seemed to be about getting together. She agreed; it really would be nice to have friends in the court that she could count on. "Really?" she asked. She just couldn't imagine someone who sounded like a big deal in the court to be excited to meet her. Madge was just a kid and brand new to all this.

“I haven’t, no…but I’ll be sure to try that!” Raven grinned, shaking her head. The last thing Chloe needed was to pretend to be a dinosaur…but it seemed like a great way to get her to eat vegetables…and she figured that Rhona would get a big kick out of it too.
“Oh yeah, Jett’s always excited to meet new court members…it’s one of his many missions in life.” She grinned and finally pulled herself up off of the bench she had been sitting on. “I should be getting home though, and you should too, Madge. It’s getting cold and I’m ready for bed, I think. And here I thought I’d have myself a nice night doing whatever but…” She yawned, her free hand going up to rub at an eye. “I’ve become an old woman, it’s terrible. But, I’ll text you soon and we’ll get together. We’ll get you nice and settled in the group, I promise. Some of the others might be butts…but when it all comes down to it, we’re a family, and we’re so happy to have you.”
Winking conspiratorially, Raven gave a little wave, then stretched and turned in the direction of her apartment.
…Why hadn’t she driven here? Why had she thought it would be a nice night to walk everywhere? Sometimes pregnancy made her stupid.

Madge smiled, happy that she could at least give her an idea to try. There wasn't anything wrong with vegetables; she didn't under her generation's dislike of them. "Awesome," she said and beamed. "I can't wait!"
It had been a while since she'd been this excited about something. She had friends, of course, but they weren't close enough to be considered family. Not to mention the fact that she couldn't tell them about this other side of her. Now she was going to meet a whole court of people just like her. Definitely exciting.
She waved when Raven did and wished her a safe trip home before turning to head home herself.
