It had been several days since her run-in with the Senshi of Blinding. Reporting his presence to the others in the Court did little to ease Logos' frustrations. They told her to take care of it on her own, which she certainly agreed with. It was the lackluster response that unnerved her. Lesath and Leto both mentioned Logos' dedication to the cause was commendable, but her military background wasn't meshing well with the way the Court was run.

She would adapt, in time, but knowing the Blinder was out and about, perhaps harassing other Dark Mirrors... He needed to be dealt with, and quickly. Minchir making himself a nuisance to her did nothing but train her sight on him. In the few days following their tussle and her departure to turn in the energy she'd gathered, Logos had formulated a plan - find and stalk the Blinder. Find where he patrolled, find who he was attached to, find his weakness.

And exploit it.

Without being able to reliably track anyone (which annoyed Logos immensely), she had to do everything the Old Fashioned Way - a gridlike search of Destiny City, divided by quadrants, in the hopes that the Blinder would reappear. It wasn't as though his fuku easily camouflaged him - Minchir stood out like a sore thumb, which Logos would like to use to her advantage.

It took three days of diligent searching, but soon the Target was spotted in the downtown district of Destiny City, along the busiest shopping avenue. People still lined the streets looking for holiday deals for the Christmas season - the perfect distraction for the public at large. Keeping to the rooftops, Logos exercised her adrenaline by dropping to a sprint to cross the two buildings that separated them, intend on clocking the young boy with her metal bracers.

Minchir kept fairly regular patrol patterns in that he came out and went in at consistent times. Beyond that, it was almost a trained grab bag. Sometimes he'd have an Eternal Senshi in company. Sometimes he'd join up with another senshi on patrol in the area. Sometimes he'd just challenge the other senshi to a fight and they'd duke it out. This, however, was one of the first nights he'd tracked back into familiar territory on almost the same rail as he had previously.

He'd bid his patrol companion goodnight and then he'd taken up to the rooftops. Up, out of the way, where it was easier to look. Christmas season meant it was particularly cold and Minchir wasn't exactly a huge fan of shivering. Still, the Christmas season also meant his birthday was creeping up as well. A good ol' Holiday baby, bound to get his birthday cycled into the season of cheer and everybody else getting gifts as well. He'd live.

Logos had initially gone unnoticed because Minchir had allowed himself to get distracted by watching a couple out on the sidewalk, jerking out of his holiday induced reverie in time to whirl around only to catch a metal bracer in the face. He hissed in pain, reeling back and putting his arms up defensively as he allowed his brain to catch up. Well. She knew his trick, so now he had to make a decision with that in mind.

He made the decision to give himself a little distance. After all, he hadn't quite had all of faculties when she'd made him...wobbly....and he needed to watch for it.

Well, that was incredibly...

...satisfying.

Really, Minchir shouldn't have interfered. After all, Logos was taught that the Dark Mirror Court was smaller than other factions and should generally keep to itself to ensure its survival. Eliminating a nuisance was not the same as picking fights with an entire faction, and this is how Logos justified the systematic hunt for the one who blinded her earlier. She was simply... taking care of an aberration.

Seeing Minchir scramble to put distance between them would have made most people smile. Not Logos - she had a job to do. She could smile after his energy was donated to the strengthening of Mirrorspace, if he was not salvageable in any other fashion. Now, her target was trying to keep himself scarce. Logos knew his trick, and he knew hers. Regardless, she wanted to punch that chubby face again.

"Running won't stop me from finding you." she spat, hands balling into fists. "I will show you mercy if you surrender now." Logos did her best to match his pace, and found running in heels was annoying at best. She'd done what she could to train for such a thing, but she did want to write a strongly-worded letter to whoever decided to outfit her in fashion boots.

Oh, so she did talk. Though the comment about Mercy did earn a snort of amusement. Any comment he would have wanted to give in turn was purposely stifled. There was no point, no reason to justify her words with a response. Mercy? Ha. Mercy was never an option. Purification had never been an option back home, so here? He'd need to adapt to that at some point, but he'd operate accordingly until then.

Which basically meant he and Logos, unknowingly, were on the same page.

If she was going to chase and try to stay in his radius, he'd allow her to come to him, despite knowing in some ways she outclassed him. There was an obvious experience in at least hand-to-hand combat on her part and he was far too unused to operating as a single unit. He stilled in his attempts to keep the distance, but did keep his hands close together. Perhaps an obvious tell of what he was going to do, but he held out and waited.

Minchir would not make the first move in attacking with magic. But he was ready if he had to defend himself with it.

She noticed his slowing down and knew that if she got close enough, he might blind her again. Still, this game of cat and mouse had to end at some point, and she'd already landed one good hit. Logos had to finish the job now or he'd continue to be a nuisance to the Court. She had a job to do.

And a job to finish.

Logos would have to risk being blinded, rushing in to close the distance between the two of them. She opted to try and sweep Minchir's legs from beneath him, keeping one forearm near her face for an attempted protection against blindness. Maybe his magic would be reflected from her gauntlets? Unlikely, but being blind while on a rooftop was incredibly dangerous. She could fall and break her legs.

Could White Moon Senshi drain energy? Logos wasn't entirely sure, but made a mental note to ask one of her superiors. Eventually she would gain more power like the others in the Court. She had to prove herself first.

He took another step back as she stepped in, but he kept from emitting his light. He couldn't afford to use his attack and be unable to see. As she knocked him back, he shifted his weight to try and kick her blocking arm into her face, landing with a heavy thump onto his arms before scrambling backwards on all four to get back up to his feet.

On his knees, he frowned, trying to keep his eyes on Logos while also trying to be attentive to the scenery around him. If he fell backwards again he was going to go off the side of the roof and that would probably break his legs. He couldn't send her over either without a lot of maneuvering. Which meant he either had to find a way to make her flee or find an advantage with which to choke the life out of her.

He kept low, guarding his body and face with one hand as he reached out to try and grab one of her legs. If he had to be down, so did she.

You already know what it does, so. >_>

Logos' plan seemed to be working, or so she thought. The Dark Mirror Senshi was attempting to back Minchir into a corner, unable to escape the vertigo-inducing magics she was preparing to launch. He was a smart thing and an excellent challenge, which was something Logos appreciated (though she'd never admit it to a White Moon Senshi). Her heels clicked against the rootop as they continued their dance of cat and mouse, circling each other, bobbing and weaving between blows.

When the opportunity arose, Logos latched onto it like the predator she believed herself to be. "Logos Spinning Helix!" Minchir stood at the edge of the rooftop, seemingly unable to escape from her magical attack. A fall from this height would be incredibly dangerous, if not outright fatal.

From her feet emanated the telltale ribbon of magical energies, spiraling outward, closer and closer to Minchir. Her expression did not change from the stony seriousness she was known for.

Minchir paid careful attention to the ribbons of energy that radiated outwards from the mystery-but-still-previously-met senshi, then glanced back behind him, considering his options. He could either become woozy under this attack or -

Or he simply took a step backwards, seemingly plummeting to evade the attack. While upwards momentum was made easier upon powering up, the opposite was not necessarily true. Falls could be and WERE fatal, which was why as he took the dive, he was careful to find a sill to wrap his fingers around, slamming into a window (fortunately it would go on to see better days in one piece) and breathing a sigh of relief that it was empty.

Nobody in there would be interrupting their fight, at least.

Still, he continued to sound quietly as he waited for her attack to, hopefully, come to an end. Maybe in a similar time span? Who knew, maybe she'd approach the edge of the roof and he'd be able to make a move that way....

Logos' magic radiated from her over the course of a few seconds, her eyes kept locked on Minchir's form as he fell backwards over the roof to avoid being hit. Proud of herself, she smirked. The only option was to fall, either way. A double-edged sword. Over the whirling sounds of her magic, Logos didn't hear Minchir slamming into a window and thought he had been soundly defeated.

As soon as the magic dissipated, the Dark Mirror Senshi took to the edge of the roof to inspect her handiwork. Would Mirrorspace be able to make use of a body? As much as she might like to, Logos knew using Minchir's body to send a message would draw unnecessary attention to the Court. They had to continue to operate under the radar, taking out anyone who got in their way quietly.

He'd scrambled up to rest his feet on the sil, quietly praying to whatever deity (Zeus? Poseidon? Jesus? Hel? Thor? SOMEONE?) that it would support his meager weight. After all, it was high enough up on a building it was likely only there to keep rain from dripping right into the window and not to hold a 150lb boy made of fluff and maybe some muscle (and a lot of magic).

Looking up, he was briefly grateful that his fingers weren't on the edge of the roof for his stranger to step on. Because looking up and seeing her peering over, Minchir was certain that it would have been the case. Mostly because he too would have done it. He could feel for those who were softer around their hearts than he was, but seeing her looking down? There was only one course of action.

He reached out and grabbed Logos, jerking her forward and off of the roof.

If you don't die from the fall, I'll make sure you are when I get down there to check. he thought bitterly and with less remorse than something 'sterile' perhaps should have.

She didn't scream, or cry, or yell. It was simply a disgruntled, shocked gasp that tore from Logos' throat as her world turned ninety degrees, starting at the ankle. Minchir was brilliant in his getaway and retaliation, Destiny City lurching and careening as Logos was summarily pulled from her rooftop perch. Gravity would do the rest, pulling her to a concrete and steel death, for certain. Her nails could not grasp Minchir's form as she tumbled out and over him, and no ledges or windowsills were within immediate reach.

Panic set in silence as Logos had precious few moments to save herself from a lethal fall. Minchir was good. Minchir was brilliant.

But she could not die tonight.

Attempting to sail closer to the windows, Logos calculated she had four stories to work with, and slammed against a window's ledge near the bottom of the third, grasping desperately at the sill, tearing a few fingernails off in desperation. It wouldn't matter, in the long run, as long as she was alive. The window easily shattered with the momentum, breaking into thousands of pieces as the Dark Mirror Senshi tucked and rolled into a clothing store on the outer edge of the building's block. The act of slamming into the building would produce bruised ribs on her left side and her hands were both shaking and bleeding, but she was alive. She'd remember him, whether he liked it or not. This was a win for him, and Logos could not stand defeat. She was better than this.

But for now, the blessedly quiet clothing store would provide a cream-colored, soft cardigan to wrap around her hands, and every changing room had a full-length mirror. No doubt an alarm was going off somewhere she couldn't hear, but Dark Mirrors had other was of disappearing. The police who would arrive shortly after would find a broken window and drops of blood, but no one in sight. Logos would be tucked away in Mirrrorspace to heal and plot revenge.
