At least she never left the Big Bear incvapable of being street legal. The monster truck was massive and tall and could crush most cars under it's tire, but off work he was street legal for easy local transit and truthfully it was good advertising. Permits had been acquired and stored in glove boxes, and that meant when Jessie parked her precious darling, she could do so and not be ticketed, the driver locking up and climbing down as she entered the park on foot. She was scheduled to do a demo for people the following day - mostly a mini derby in her monster to interest new crowds, and tonight she was walking across the park to the stadium to study spacing, where cars might be, and how to safely enter in her precious darling. Her sponsors weere paying very well to make a good show of it and earn some brand traffic, and Jessie walked slowly, entirely relaxed. There was little sound anyhow, and that suited her fine, except the lack of crickets.

Outside of the park that had housed a swamp monster around Halloween, Owen liked visiting them; they were usually pretty quiet, so he could sit and read while enjoying the sunlight and simply being outside. Even though he and his mom had moved into a better apartment recently, it was still nice to get outside to read now and then. Not that it was quiet for very long, by the loud motor that approached and then cut off. Normally Owen tried to ignore such things, but it was loud enough that he just had to look, and - was that a monster truck!? Oh - oh man, that was cool; maybe the lady who he saw climbing out of it would let him look at it a little closer if he asked....?

If Jessie was to be honest, it was a small area but nothing Big Bear couldn't get into, and she made a satisfied sound, nodding as she circled one more time. She could enter like she was told, and... And the air was so odd - smell was nothing, but the light grit of dust passing was sudden and Big Bear wasn't close... Jessie frowned, before she was distracted by the familiar face known as 'curious teenager', and she beamed, striding over and bowing. "Hey, kid! I take it you got called by my Bear, huh?" She beamed, and offered a handshake. "Jessie. Jessie Kisaragi, driver of the Big Bear. You?" A formal introduction was fun, and she wondered if maybe he was interested in the truck. After all -- why not teach a potential new driver? Nearby, the dust was gathering, before a stone core rose, dust whorling around it into a vaguely human shape that bobbed in place... Then turned.

Owen jumped, surprise at being caught gawking, and tugged a hand out of his pocket to return the handshake with an awkward grin. "Owen Courcel. It's uhm - nice to meet you?" Manners, manners, he had to - and was going to - remember manners. He was fourteen now, he wasn't a kid any more! He could restrain himself long enough to hold a proper conversation. "Big Bear? That's its name? I - " and now excitement and curiosity won out over sense, as he gave in to his urge to find out more about the monster truck. "Where'd you come up with the name? What's it like to drive something like that? What's - " He paused, the last question falling from his lips, unasked, as he turned, frowning. Was that... Oh no. Oh no. Not a youma. Not here. Not with a stranger right here with him.

"Good to meet you, kiddo." Jessie beamed, motioning. "Yup, this big boy is named Big Bear. Got it from a game, but he lives up to it." She chuckled, patting the truck lovingly. "As for driving, it's good. If we were at the Yard or my place I'd say you could give him a test run on private property, but yeah, not... Herte, sorry. Though, hey,--" And the first dusty stone bound off of the Bear with a pling... Earning a sharp look towards the source from the driver. "Oh, what the ******** is THAT?!" She snarled. Immediately, the woman moved, positioning herself in front of Owen protectively. "Get in Bear kiddo. Open the door, use handles, climb steps. Mind you grab handgrips./ This ******** overgrown dust bunny chipped MY BABY." Maybe she was a little overprotective. Maybe.

Right. Sure, he could do that. And maybe power up while he was in there... He almost fell trying to climb in, because it was so tall and he didn't manage to grab hold of the grips tightly enough to swing himself in at first. Once he did, he wiggled to the far side of the car and waited. Only once he was sure the black-haired woman's focus was on the youma that had formed did he risk sliding out the other side and powering up into Almary. ... At almost fifteen, he couldn't help but feel ridiculous in this uniform, but as silly-looking as it was, it as his best shot at being able to protect the nice lady he'd just met. And Jessie definitely did seem nice, if she was willing to try and put herself between him and a youma without even knowing what one was! Now, so long as she didn't realize Owen had disappeared, he could step in and help. Probably. He knew he wasn't... really strong enough to be a lot of help, but he had to try.

He was safe, good. Turning on the dust creature, Jessie shifted her feet, flashing a feral grin. In some ways she was glad her father and sisters were at home or... not with them, respectively, the woman's eyes flashing. The dust might bring bad memories -- and she had plenty of the man in dress blues coming to tell them her daddy was a prisoner, dealing with the government... SO much hurt when he came home hurt and angry and.. Well. It wasn't a terrorist but it would do. The driver reached, grabbing a metal object closeby resembling a hubcap, and moved, preparing to strike... Escept before moving, something felt off. Maybe it was the cold hitting her suddenly exposed midsection, or the loose... Was it fabric? Some Toga with pauldrons?(Ooooh, pauldrons!... Who knew, but something magic happened and NOW SDHE WAS GOING TO BEAT A b***h WITH HER NEW TOY. Except no, she was about to lunge, and, using the stunned moment, the youma slammed her hard with duyst and rock instead, the page yelping as she slammed into Big Bear, thankfully not damaging her truck.

Where had the - oh. Oh, okay, she wasn't a civilian caught in the crossfire after all; that was good! It meant he didn't have to worry so hard about hiding who he was if she got suspicious. Though... she didn't really seem to understand what was going on - was this the first time she'd powered? There hadn't been a cat or a pen, so she had to be that other kind of good guy he hadn't seen many of. Regardless of who or what she was, though, she needed help, and with a startled cry he scrambled free of the truck and moved to help her up, glaring at the youma as he did. "Are you okay, miss?" He was going to have to do something about the youma, but... could he? He was only a chibi senshi, and a basic level chibi at that...

Ow. OW OW OW OW <********> that hurt! Nastrond grimaced, but accepted the help from.... Was he a terrorist? Was SHE a terrorist? JESUS WHAT WAS GTOING ON. The page nodded, blinking in absolute confusion before the youma hurted a... Was that a micro-tornado? FUUUUUUCK and Nastrond grabbed Almary, bodily shielding him as the stones and dust hammered her body, the young woman grunting. "The ******** is that? Do you know how to kill it, because I dunno what to do here." She admitted. There was a decidedly off-kilter laugh from it, though, and the page threw her discus at it, grumblung when it bounced off the stone core effortlessly. "Mothger f-- what IS that?!" THE KID HERE SEEMED KNOWLEDGEABLE. Wherever he was from. Spec ops maybe?

"That's a youma," Almary said slowly, not sure either how much the lady was understanding nor what she would think of a senshi being here. He knew how much bad publicity his group had gotten, though it absolutely wasn't true - how could you claim otherwise without compromising ... well... everything? The truth was, you couldn't. So he could really only hope the woman he was helping wasn't too quick to judge. "I - I think I do? I've never done it before, and I'm still technically at the training level but... there is something. And after I can - explain what I know? If - if you want." (Training sounded better than 'chibi', at least. Especially since he was growing closer to fifteen every day!) Taking a breath, he stepped out from behind the page and scowled at the youma, then drew on his power for an attack. "Mud Splatter!" Mud Splatter Sailor Almary extends his arms and crosses them at his wrists, ‘aiming’ his hands, which are fisted, at a target. Keeping his arms crossed, he flips his palms open, which summons a spray of viscous, gloppy mud that hits a target up to four feet in front of him. The mud doesn’t hit with enough force to hurt the enemy, but if he aims it right it can hit eyes and otherwise obscure vision. The spray lasts for about five seconds at this level.
There's nothing particularly special about the mud - it's just sticky, and tends to glop together, which can obscure vision and make an enemy stagger momentarily.

"You...ma?" Jessie blinked -- and turned as the magic affected the youma, the creature hiss-screeching as the magiuc tore apart it's dust form, the core dissolving last. At last, the dust of it all dropped and whispered away on the breeze, Nastrond watching in awe before looking to Almary. "THAT WAS ********' AWESOME!"

Almary stared in surprise - he knew magic usually took care of youma but he didn't think his magic was strong enough to do more than irritate it. Maybe... maybe he didn't understand as much as he thought he did. Or maybe he was just getting stronger. Either way... he had some thinking to do. But for now, he moved over to to - what was he supposed to call her, he wondered - and offered her his hand, a shy but proud smile breaking over his face. "I.. yeah. Yeah I guess it was. Uhm. Are you going to be okay? Do you need to go to a doctor?" Important things first. Then he could try to explain what the heck all this really was.

"I... Think I'm okay." Nastrond blinked, then motioned. "Erm. Iuhm. I'm fine, mostly scuffed up. I've had worse anyhow. But I... What happened?" She paused. "s**t, someone's in my car! I gotta check on him!" And up she scoot to look, fussing.

"Wait! Wait, miss, no - " Almary yelped, catching her by the shoulders. "Stop, it's okay, it's..." He paused and took a breath, then dropped the transformation with a shy smile. "See? See, it's okay, I'm okay. And you uhm... Probably should try the same now that the fight's over. You don't wanna stand around in that all day -it's not safe." Now he just had to hope she wasn't going to hold onto that 'terrorist' stuff after she'd seen what happened...

" Uhm." For a moment, she was flabbergasted. He was magic? THEY USED KIDS? What. Who. And then... How to power down? She pondered, before slowly she managed it, blinking in a state of shell shock. "Okay. Uhm." s**t. "Can we.... How about we grab lunch and you explain this magic bullshit to me, okay? Because I'm very ******** confused."
