The Arena is commonly used for sport majors, since they have very few written assessment and need a practical facility at all times. While known to most students only as "The Arena", it's formal title is the Serena Williams Hall of Sport and the sporting students use this with pride. Big games are held by each team in the last two weeks of each term. Each sporting class has two "teams", each known as Alpha Sport and Beta Sport. They compete against one another as their end-of-term practical assessment. They are not given a fail if their team does not win, as they are graded on how they use the skills they have learnt throughout the term.
It is also the venue that Blending Into Society and Magic Studies are held, to allow all students enrolled to be present at the same time. It has a roof that can be moved in place to make it fully indoors, to prevent events being canceled due to weather.
The Arena is a 20,000 seater stadium. There are only 16,000 students enrolled and 2,000 teaching staff.

Kimberly walked the group to the Arena, being more familiar with the campus layout over the others. The doors were already open and teachers were letting students inside. Kimberly took the seats close to the stairs at the front, knowing they would likely be moved around the Arena a lot. The middle of the Arena was set up like a competition match you'd find in the Pokemon series, a battle ring. She sat down and looked to the others in excitement.
Kolya felt nervous before getting into the Arena, but seeing how it was set up made him question his confidence. He gulped, trying to stay as quiet as he could, and looked to Jace. It was hard to guess how he was feeling, but he was sure it wasn't as calm as the others. He took the minutes leading up to the time for class to begin breathing calmly to try and ease his anxiety.
Matthias followed the others into the Arena with confidence. His abilities were ones he has a good control over and he would likely end up helping others, although he had a feeling it wouldn't be in a purely supportive role. His clones couldn't feel pain and would be "poofed" when injured too much, so there was an idea that these clones would be target practice. Others with similar powers would likely have to put their kills to the test.

Chase walked into the Arena and took a seat near the front but away from the students coming in. He was already sure of himself and his abilities, not really needed much help, so this class was more of an extra study time for him. Or so he was hoping, he didn't want to use his powers to fight because they weren't good for that. He could see the history of an object through touch, but that was about it. He scanned the area and saw a relatively big group of students on one side, chatting away. Some seemed nervous, others confident, and some he couldn't be sure judging by body language.
"Five minutes left before every student crams in here," he mumbled to himself.

Stanley walked through the doors and sat in the same row as a big group of students, but not directly close to them. He quietly drank the rest of his Boost smoothie and wondered how the class would go. His power was pretty self-explanatory and didn't need a lot of work to make good. He could sense danger and act on it accordingly. It would be very useful in the medical field but it was otherwise useless. "Damn, I hope I'm not late!" Fayelyn cursed at herself as she rounded a corner after walking through one of the entrances into the Arena. The stands were already filling up and spaces for good seats were few. She sat herself down next to a brunette boy (Stanley) and smiled nervously. He shifted himself over a little so she could be more comfortable and she grinned a him in a sign of gratitude. She was nervous a little, more so about being asked to come up into the main area as her social anxiety would get in the way of that. Mosiah had followed Kimberly-Anne's group from the cafeteria, mostly because everyone was going to the same place. He had been sitting in a different spot, but after going to fill his water bottle, someone had moved his belongings next to the group from before. He sighed and took a seat between them and two others. He didn't to try and confront anyone about anything, so he merely sat in silence and didn't bother anyone.

Emmanuel walked into the room alongside his twin sister, Noelle, and they sat along the front of the room. Between himself and Noelle, his power was something far more useful in battle and combat. Her ability was good, technopathy had it's advantages, but it wasn't the same as invisibility. He was going to ask his sister what she was feeling, but she was listening to her music, using her skill to prevent youtube videos from playing ads. Clever girl. Noelle walked in with her brother, headphones in listening to her playlist of musicals in youtube. She knew that her power was almost useless in a fight setting, so she would be all but useless in this class. Maybe she's have to help others, or just sit and study, so she would wait until the start of the class to see what would happen.
Ebony skipped into the Arena and found Axel, sitting alongside the rest of "The Gang" as she'd decided to nickname them. She squished into a seat and giggled brightly. "I haven't seen you guys in forever! I hate not sharing many classes with you guys~!" she exclaimed brightly. She threw her arms around Kimberly, Kolya, and Jace at the same time, some eyebrows raised from the newcomers to the group. Before she could say anything, Axel introduced her for them as quietly as he could.

Axel mumbled introductions to those like Brycin and Matthias, who had not met her before. He stayed in his seat, looking out for someone like Esmeralda to come walking in. The row immediately behind his group was still clear and he hoped she'd sit there. Mostly so they could be close. He felt so taken with her, it felt odd but so right at the same time He hoped no one in the group was a mind reader right now.
Iseul was sitting by herself on the far side of the Arena, completely opposite of many of the other students. She was sitting with a variety of students who could not speak English. Translators were lined up to assist in any way that they could. She wondered how it would go if someone like her had to fight, being unable to communicate. Would it be a hindrance?
Leora sat nearby to Jace and his friends, wondering if he would turn around to catch her eye. She was happy to have met him and the others on Psychology as they were an interesting group of people. Jace's darkness didn't scare her, and she wondered if her warm light was something that scared him. She hoped it didn't. She flicked blonde strands from her eyes as teachers entered the arena and lined up near the battle section.
#848482 // #BC987E Hunter was not surprised when Ebony's actions seemed to take Brycin and Matthias off guard. He chuckled under his breath and watched the teachers come into the Arena. The bell was due to ring any minute now and most students were in their seats. He was interested to see how everything was going to go, who would need to work on themselves and who would be helping others. For someone like him, who had an understanding of his abilities, this class was mundane, but for those unsure of their abilities it would be of dire importance.
#9D6B84 // #9F00FF Nora sat near the group of students who she shared Psychology with, although she wasn't comfortable joining them just yet. She was sitting along the same row, but on the other side of the staircase, ready to leave if she needed to. The teachers had been told about her past and her social anxiety, but also that her powers were prone to getting out of control, so she hoped if she had to fight it would be one-on-one away from the eyes of the other students. She hoped.
#FF8243 // #FF3333 Alexandria walked into the Arena alongside the other teachers and looked around. She knew that there would be a main arena, where students who were confident with their abilities and had skills in a combative level would face off. Teachers with magic and healing skills, like herself, would be nearby along the side. Students who had more confidence in their skill, but nothing that was useful for fighting, would be pulled to the side ring of the Arena to demonstrate their skills to other teachers there. Those who had little confidence in themselves and needed help would be taken through a portal to an alternate dimension where teachers would help them one-on-one to prevent embarrassment and loss of control. She wondered who would go first in the main Arena fighting, where she would be placed.
#3EB489 // #006B3C Meera took a seat in the second row along the front, with most other spaces being taken already. She smiled at the few faces she saw that were familiar and waited for the others in her group to follow along after her. She assumed that someone in her group would know those students, but it didn't matter to her. She only knew a few of them who had been in choir, like Axel and Hunter, the others being strangers to her.
#A2A2D0 // #12048F Brycin was excited to see how the Magic Studies class would go. It looked like a very literal combination of theory, practical, and one-on-one studies. He had confidence in his skills, so he assumed he'd fall into the theory side of it, or the demonstration side. He looked to the others and tried his best to ease their nerves, explaining his way of thinking.

Theodore was sitting in the front section, a few rows behind to big groups. He was cleaning his glasses as students began sitting in the last remaining seats before the bell would ring. There were still plenty of students missing, which he knew would be those not wanting to bother. He had confidence in his skills, but knew that merely attending this class was worth 150 student points, which would be useful for buying anything on campus. He had his eye on some supplies in IKEA and wanted the extra points to not be broke after purchasing it all. She would rather be in her room, having a nap or even going to bed early, but she didn't care about this class. The instant this class was done, she'd be in bed early. She was glad that all the rooms had enough insulation between them that each room was essentially sound-proof, and she was also thankful all the dormitories were Air-conditioned as well. Kai was sitting alongside Esmeralda's group, having seen her earlier and sitting amongst them. While not everyone knew him, no one was going to complain against the tall, muscular, tanned Hawaiian youth. He was eager to start the class, wanting to show off his skills, knowing most would assume he'd have something like water manipulation or anything relating to his Hawaiian heritage. He doubted anyone would assume he'd be able to have skills relating to that of a ghost.
Alda had made it into the Arena just minutes before the bell rang, having been delayed looking at trinkets in IKEA while she was eating dinner. She already knew about her power, and she used it to her advantage, but she didn't want to use it during this kind of a class. Pheromone manipulation was something along the lines of suggestion, persuasion, and emotional manipulation, and she used it for sex, and she didn't want to do so in this setting. If she had to use her power, she would only use a tiny amount to draw someone close to her, nothing along the lines of which she normally did.

Aeron was sitting with Kimberly-Anne's group in the front-most row and he was excited to show his skills. In a fighting setting, he wondered who he would be faces against. Surely someone with a darkness to them, like himself? It was a thought, but he didn't know how that would turn out. For the best, he hoped.
Jace followed the group walking beside Kolya. His face expressionless as usual as he did his best to keep his emotions in check though he was a bit anxious since he wasnt sure what to expect. He tried to focus on other things as he looked around then he felt a warm aura and turned to look at Leora. He smiled a bit and waved at her. Then turned to look at Ebony when she bouncing towards them. "Hey Ebony" he said then looked to Kolya again.

Esmeralda smiled and followed the group walking into the arena and taking a seat. She didnt know the potential of her abilities or what she could do. So she wasn't sure what she was going to do during this class. They sat behind Axel and his group a rather dark bunch but it didnt bother her. She smiled and waved to Axel when he noticed her. She saw Noah sit in her row and and waved back then looked to Kai and smiled waving at him too. She was glad to have met so many people on her first day and was excited to see where the year will take them.

Miranda Kier walked to the microphone in the middle of the Arena immediately after the bell rang. Looking through the stands, it looked like all the students were present and the class could begin. She could feel anxious waves from the students and knew it was her job, as the Class Administrator, to explain what was going on. "Hello everyone, my name is Miranda Keir. I will be the director for this class, the one in charge for it as a whole. Helping me are a majority of your teachers you will have seen across campus. This class has three stages. Stage 1 is for those students confident in their abilities who choose to use them in a battle setting, under supervision of teachers with abilities of healing, sorcery, psychic, and negation. Stage 2 is for those who are not as confident with their abilities and choose to do one-on-one battles out of sight. This stage will be supervised by myself, sending those students into pocket dimensions and facing off against astral opponents. Stage 3 is for those who are confident in their skills yet lack a combative ability, and they will be assigned to supervise battles and help students where needed. So, please, can you all come down and choose a section that suits your needs." she stated.
Oliver Torvald was standing along the Stage 1 area, ready to use his healing skills if needed. His other powers would not be used, because if a fight was going wrong, it would be Dennis that would step in with his Power Negation to prevent anything from progressing. He stood out because of his powering height, red half-shaved head, and tattoos. He didn't care, because he knew students were aware he was a gentle giant, but it didn't stop many who didn't know him from expecting he was the opponent. He stood with his arms folded behind his back, in a very calm stance.

Dennis Constantinople was ready to use his powers in Stage 1, or any Stage for that matter, as his Power Negation had an alarming reach of those it could affect. He didn't want to stop fights, but he knew that some students would get out of control if they weren't careful. Even Miranda might need his power, as her sorcery would be maxed out sending students into pocket dimensions and creating their opponents. He didn't know where he'd end up, but a teacher capable of teleporting was on standby if he needed to be moved quickly.

Kimberly listened to what Mrs Kier had to say, and looked at the others. "I can tell I'm going to Stage 1, what about you guys?" she asked out of curiosity. She hoped the others would join her there, but it wasn't as likely as she wanted it to be. Kolya and Jace would likely end up in Stage 2, but there were others in the group who could be in that Stage. Others were confident but lacked fighting abilities, so they'd likely be in Stage 3. She'd be a bit disappointed if she was on her own, but not too distressed.
Kolya looked to Kimberly after Miss Kier spoke. "I'm going with Stage 2 until I'm confident enough that my skills won't hurt people. I reckon I'll move to Stage 1 after a short while, but still. It's not something I'm confident showing off yet," he mentioned. He looked at Jace, expecting him to follow suit.
"I'll be joining you in Stage 1, Kimberly. My cloning skills, more than my Astral Projection, will be used for fighting, but I'm confident I can manage no matter what's thrown at me," Matthias answered. He pulled at his hoodie and watched students hesitate to move down towards the Arena. He waited to see who was going to make the first move, or he would go down to the waiting area first.
Naomi Laughterdale walked down the stairs, smile on her face, beaming with confidence. "Let's go people! Those for Stage 1, follow me!" she shouted. Some students let out cheers and some laughed, but she did break the ice and cause people to start to move. She flicked her hair behind her face and stood with arms on her hips in sassy defiance.

Ezekial Da Costa followed after Naomi, hands in his pockets but smiling nonetheless. "Wonder who I'll fight in Stage 1?" he asked to himself. He moved onto the Arena field and waited alongside Naomi and a few other students who had been willing to move on their own accord. Many students seemed very unsure, so he was curious to see how they would be sorted, by magic or not.
"It's Stage 1 for me~!" Ebony exclaimed, jumping in her chair. She began tugging at the others to pull them along, as more and more students began walking down the steps into their respective areas. She was very excited to be able to use her skills and her natural talents to win matches. She hoped she'd maintain a winning streak, but she wouldn't know until the fighting started.

Axel rolled his eyes. "Lord, give me strength." he muttered to himself as Ebony practically dragged him along. Iseul was relatively confident in her abilities, but she didn't want to struggle in a match where English was the primary language. She settled for Stage 2, wanting the one-on-one challenge until she felt confident enough for Stage 1.
Leora smiled back at Jace before Mrs Kier spoke over the microphone. She knew that she would end up in Stage 3, because even though her powers could be used in a fighting setting, she was not one for violence. Her chosen career path was all about helping others through verbal and nonverbal methods, but violence was not something she would ever condone.
#FF8243 // #FF3333 Alexandria was in charge of the Stage 1 ring, bring a healer and using her psychic skill of telepathy to judge the intent of those fighting, to know if she should give Dennis a warning sign. She would be looking out or those who were trouble-makers, and would not hesitate to stop a match if things were beginning to get out of hand. |||||||| |||||||| ||||||||
#848482 // #BC987E Hunter was a little unsure of whether or not he should be in Stage 1 or not. True, his telekinetic powers could be used in a variety of ways (as in cutting through objects or a single burst that worked like a gun) but it wasn't otherwise a good enough skill for combat. He decided to settle for Stage 3, helping others, as he could use his Ink Manipulation to give others a visual representation of what they should be doing.
#9D6B84 // #9F00FF The instant she heard about Stage 2 being out of sight and on-on-one with a magic opponent, she was all for it. She grabbed her things and made her way towards Mrs Kier, where Stage 2 was to be held. She was expecting fewer people there, but there was a considerable amount of students in that area. Would Mrs Kier be able to take everyone into these pocket dimensions, or would she have help? She didn't care as long as she didn't have to hurt anyone or have anyone watch.
#3EB489 // #006B3C Meera calmly excused herself from the group and made her way to Stage 3, as she knew her skills of Empathy and Astral Projection were less for fighting and more for assisting others. She wondered which students she would be assigned to, as the teachers had mentioned that those in Stage 3 would act as supervisors. With so many students and not many teachers, those in this Stage were vitally important to Magic Studies being successful; or so Meera thought.
#A2A2D0 // #12048F Brycin watched the others in the group disappear almost instantly into other Stages, so he moved to Stage 3, as he felt his skills otherwise were not useful in battle. His sorcery was his only fighting ability, and even that was limited. Technopathy and Mediumship were not powers that could be used in a fight and he knew it. He'd rather hone his skills learning to help others than to fight. He didn't want to fight anyway.

She hoped someone else would join her in her area, but knew the others were likely far more confident with their skills than she was.

Autumn gleamed with excitement as she leapt up from her chair. "Stage 1! I'm so excited, let's go!" she said, tugging on the boys to move and follow along.
Her sorcery abilities would be very useful in the fighting area, and she was completely fine showing off. She didn't know every spell, but she had a decent understanding of the Latin language, also having made her own spells in Spanish which packed a strong punch. She had a feeling few of the others would be in Stage 1, but she hoped at least someone would be with her. Even if she didn't want to fight them.

Alistair contemplated which Stage to be in. He knew many would want him in Stage 1, he was still uneasy with the unpredictability of his powers and would feel better in Stage 2 until he was ready for it.
"I think I'll go to Stage 2 for now," he mentioned.
His explosive manipulation was the one that was the most destructive, his mind going back to Judo class where it nearly killed everyone in the room from a sucker punch. His regenerative abilities kept him safe, but no one else would be if he lost control. He knew he had to come to terms with understanding the explosive nature before he could master it. Having control was all he wanted.
Alda would have normally considered Stage 1, knowing her ability could be used for fighting, but she didn't want to rely on it as she had before. Her mastery of it was for other reasons, so she walked herself to Stage 3, intent on helping others. She could use her Pheromone Manipulation to put people at ease if they were concerned. She wouldn't settle for being told to use her powers to fight, when she herself abused them on others to get what she wanted in the past.

Kimora knew that her Mental Projection ability would be more use to others than to herself, as in a fight it was only useful as basic hallucinations in the long run. She knew that her ability would be better to explain plans to those she would mentor, as she was completely capable of her skill and had little concerns with it. She walked to Stage 2 behind Alda.

Aeron wondered what Jace would choose, after hearing Kolya state he would be going into Stage 2 first. "I feel comfortable going into Stage 1," he admitted as he gathered his things. He knew he would likely scare others, but he was fine with that. His ability was something that was a distraction and offensive in the same moment. He knew it would not be best suited for helping. His Breath of Life power, perhaps, but that was for healing. Kiss of Death was one he vowed to never use, or at least never to the extent of taking a life.
