In the last few generations of games, players have been experiencing more and more realistic games. Eventually virtual reality games became all the rage. It was this trend which led Nintendo to create the Full Dive technology. This technology required a full terminal system located at many locations around the world. There the player's body is fully connected to a computer system. While their body is suspended, their minds are placed inside of the virtual world with the game that has been loaded into the system. In this case the people in the Full Dive technology were placed into the wonderful world of pokemon.
The system is so advanced and methodical that every sound, sight, scent, and sensation is recreated inside of the game. Each person would really feel as though they were placed inside of the world; a world where pokemon have suddenly come to live and seem as real as any creature in the non-virtual world. This is what they paid for and this is the immersion that people have dreamed of for generations. What they didn't expect was that once they've signed in...they wouldn't be able to sign out with no explanation as to why. They're trapped.
In the real world, the Full Dive terminals have locked the players inside so that they can not be turned off without terminating the player. People have tried and players have died as a result. Nintendo has been scrambling to answer the public's cry out outrage and fear but so far no one has been able to figure out what went wrong. The most that anyone has been able to do is use the equipment to set up monitoring and life support. So for better or for worst those who signed up and signed in are now locked in the world full of monsters and untold dangers.

This is a literate roleplay. That does not mean that I will expect monster sized posts out of everyone - though that may happen from time to time. I do ask that you give a minimum of ten complete sentences per post. That's about two or so paragraphs.

I will not be stringent on how often you need to post. In fact, I will be more than happy with one post a week. What I like to see more is loyalty. Stick with us and we'll stick by you...that's the mentality I like. Of course, you may get poked every once in a while for a post if you haven't but I understand that life isn't always at your leisure.
『ＦＯＵＲ』
Just let us know if something big happens so we can be as sensitive as one can be across the internet. I can't stress this enough but communication and loyalty are the keys to keeping a roleplay alive. Both are equally important. Which is why I've set up a discord server for this roleplay. It is important that it's used as this will be the place where notices and updates will be placed. You do not need to participate in the voice options if you are not comfortable with that.

For the posts themselves, I would ask that you have three basic things in them aside from your writing. I would like to see a picture of your character, their name, and a general location. Just try to make sure that these are easily seen. It really does help keep track of everything. And please keep your text size that you want everyone to read at or above size 11. I have trouble reading things that are too small. If you would like for me to make you a simple posting format once you've been accepted let me know and I'll get you something pretty quick.
『ＳＩＸ』
Now onto the characters themselves. Everyone will be allowed to have a singular character for now. If, in the future, this changes then I will let everyone know. For your character's backgrounds and personalities...there is one thing I would ask that you try to keep in mind. I understand that creating a rebel or a loner is nice. And I don't like trying to tell people how to make their characters. I just want to remind you that you don't want to purposefully isolate your character and thus yourself. This is a roleplay. Our goal is to write together. Characters that would not work with another person, seek people out, or be recruited tend to be the ones isolated. Just keep that thought in mind while you make your character.
『ＳＥＶＥＮ』
While characters can gain skills in the pokemon world that can help them in their journey, they can not gain any powers. This would include, but is not limited to, aura and psychic powers.
『ＥＩＧＨＴ』
Now onto the pokemon themselves. Every character will start off with a pokemon egg. You can pick the starting element. Then you will be given a few choices about what the pokemon will hatch into. This will be the way that you get your first pokemon and it will be done in the Recruiting thread during the character creation period. From that point on you will get to pick things like personality and gender where applicable.
『ＮＩＮＥ』
Characters can reasonably catch as many pokemon as they'd like. There will be no carrying restrictions. The only thing is that each pokeball, with a pokemon inside, will weigh a pound for general pokemon and up to five pounds for the heaviest pokemon. If a player does not want to carry the pokemon with them they can not just deposit it into a computer system. They must take it to a professor and drop it off. Once they do that, however, they can no longer retrieve the pokemon as it will be used for 'research' from that point on. The other option is to leave it at a breeding center or day care but this would cost the player in game currency. This option would allow them to reclaim the pokemon at any point, however. Regardless of the amount of pokemon a player possesses, players are regulated to only using six pokemon in a fight or it's an instant loss. Another thing to consider is that each pokemon in a player's possession must be regularly cared for and fed or the pokemon will 'die'. Basically all players are responsible for the pokemon that they capture.

Capturing a pokemon will follow the general idea that you must battle it first.However, in this version you must make it faint before you can capture it. Details on how to determine if you win a battle can be found in the game mechanics.
『ＥＬＥＶＥＮ』
To keep things fair any legendary pokemon are off limits. They can not be caught by any player.
All new trainers will receive their first pokemon egg from a professor. Each Player should submit what element they would like when they submit the reservation (found in the creation section). This should be posted in the recruitment thread and you should quote me there. From that point on, I will give you a list of three randomly generated pokemon within that element. You will then get to choose what pokemon the egg hatches into from those three. Please then repost your reserve, quoting me again, with your pokemon edited into the right section. From that point on you can pick the gender (where applicable), the personality, the size, and all other things of that nature for the pokemon you've chosen. The egg could either hatch as soon as your character gets it from the Professor or the Breeder, or you could play it out so that the player has to take care of the egg first. That is up to you.
『Ｌｅｖｅｌｉｎｇ Ｕｐ』
This will be a fairly simple system. When your pokemon defeats a pokemon that is weaker than it, it gains 1 point. If the pokemon is within 20% of it's own level either weaker or stronger, then it gains 2 points. If the pokemon is more than 20% stronger than it, then the pokemon gains 3 points. If it is a pokemon that another player is training, an additional bonus point is awarded for each tier (weaker, same, and stronger). So the maximum points that a pokemon can gain is 4 points per fight.
Each level a pokemon is will require x3 points to get to the next level. Example, a pokemon at level 1 would only need 3 points to get to the next level. A pokemon at level 10 would need 30 points. At level 30 it would need 90 points. So on and so forth.
『Ｆｉｇｈｔｉｎｇ』
Almost all fights will be rolled for in discord using the Roll Channel.
For wild encounter pokemon the system will be fairly simple. If the pokemon is weaker than your pokemon by 20% or more, you can instantly win the fight. If it is within 20% of your pokemon you roll a dice between 1 and 5. If it lands on 1,2, or 3 you win the fight. If a pokemon is up to 50% stronger than your pokemon, you roll the dice 1 to 10. If it lands a 1, 2, 3, or 4 your pokemon wins.
If your pokemon loses you can use your next pokemon (if applicable) and try again for each pokemon you have to use. Up to 6 pokemon can be used at any given time.
For Player to Player fights it's a little different. Each player will roll the dice between 1 and 20. Higher number after modification wins. If the pokemon are within 20% of each other's levels, no level modifier is added. If one pokemon is more than 20% stronger, they get a +1 for every 10% stronger they are. If there is a type advantage (as long as they have attacks of that type), the pokemon with the advantage gains +2 on the roll...if the pokemon is otherwise immune to the pokemon's main typing they gain +4.
Gym battles will be treated like Player to Players. The only difference is that I, or any other mod, will roll for the gym leader.
How an actual fight looks or plays out can be discussed between players once the outcome has been decided by rolls.
『Ｔｒａｉｎｉｎｇ』
Actually writing out having your character's pokemon being trained will gain that pokemon experience. They will gain 1 point for every post that it's shown and detailed out. Please remember to note this down in the training channel in discord or it can't be counted. Please do not abuse this and spam posts. Posts should still be working towards interacting with other players and all of that.
『Ｎｅｗ Ｍｏｖｅｓ』
Pokemon can not just learn new moves when they level up. A player has to actually take the time to try and teach them new moves through training them. If a move logically follows like tackle to body slam, the player just has to train them up to that. How that happens is up to everyone's own discretion but it must be noted down in the training section that they are working towards that. For HMs or TMs they will be more like manuals and videos that instruct the trainer for how to teach the pokemon that move. Nothing will be instant but how long each move takes will be up to the individual.
『Ｍｏｖｅ ｌｉｍｉｔｓ』
Pokemon can only use 4 different moves in a competition like player to player or player to gym leader. If they use more than 4 different moves by the trainer's command it's an automatic loss. However, a pokemon can learn as many moves as possible. This can be used against wild pokemon or in self defense. Just remember - not everything is like riding a bike. If they don't use it every once in a while it's reasonable to assume they could either forget it or at least get rusty at the technique. Please use your better judgement and creative imagination with this.
『Ｂｒｅｅｄｉｎｇ』
If this is something you want to get into, then keep in mind that the pokemon in this game do have personalities and wills of their own (in a way).They will not just autobreed; unless your pokemon learns to be a breeder then compatible pokemon must be left in a daycare for a month of in game time. You then roll a dice between 1 and 10 to see the female pokemon will be pregnant at the end of that month. If you roll 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 the female isn't pregnant. If you roll a 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10 she is pregnant. It will then take another month in game for her to lay the egg. Each egg (other than your first/starter pokemon) will take 1 month in game time to hatch. You can decide the gender and pretty much everything for the baby pokemon except for if it's shiny or not. For that you will have to roll between 1 and 10 to see. If you roll 1 - 8 it is not shiny, if you roll a 9 or 10 it is shiny. If one parent is shiny, then if you roll a 7, 8, 9, or 10 then they can be shiny is well. If both parents are shiny then if you roll a 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10 then they will be shiny.
『Ｅｃｏｎｏｍｙ』
Just like in the real world...things cost money. Your character will need to eat and cloth themselves, as well as other basic necessities. This will also include feeding their pokemon. Pokemon trainers do receive a small stipend from the government every month; 2,000 Pokedollars (PD for short) per month in the game. Players can gain extra Pokedollars through small quests that NPCs can give out or through doing jobs around the towns. They can gain money through competitions if they place as well. These will be event based.
Item prices are what they are in the games but there are some additions. Players can create goods with their pokemon to sell in an open market to other players. You could sell to NPCs if everyone agrees that it's a sell-able good on discord (example being miltank milk or mareep wool, things like that). Actual prices of non-shop goods are left up to the player so long as they are being reasonable.
Basically this is more up to everyone's creative sides. Just keep everything reasonable and we'll all be happy.

Profile Format
First post - Should have a picture of your character and their age.
Second post should have a bit about their personality and what skills they may be good at. You could have things like hopes and dreams, goals and fears. It's up to you.
Third post should be for their standard gear or items that they carry around. You do not need to include things like pokeballs or pokemon items like that.
Forth Post should be dedicated to their in game accomplishments. Things like gym badges, ribbons, or the like goes here.
Fifth Post should be what pokemon they have. Each pokemon should have at least a little section with their personality type, their level, and what moves they have. Keep in mind that this section will probably be edited a lot.
Sixth Post should be for relationships with other players. This will probably be something that you edit a lot as well.
Basking amid vibrant nature, this simple town is not shaded with any one hue. This is the starting down for all our Players. Others may start in other towns around the region, but this will be the area where you will receive your first pokemon partner.
