My kids went to see Coco this weekend and they liked it. Even though my daughter explained the movie to me all I can think of is "The Book Of Life" remake. To be honest it is not a remake even though there are quite a few similarities to it.

They are remaking Blazing Saddles... FOR CHILDREN!
....WITH A CAT! gonk crying
That isn't really related, I just don't know what either of those movies are. And all of my nephews are way too into Trolls, superheros, and hitting each other for me to find out.

Us old timers have too many memories about old movies and I believe they may be skewed because even though I agree with my father that acting was better in the older movies I definitely like the special effects of the newer movies. Speaking of which, Justice League came out about two weeks ago and I still haven't seen it yet. I am beginning to think I was wrong when I claimed that I like Marvel and DC about the same. It seems to me that I do have a preference for Marvel.

Those movies look so bad, the amount of plot they give up for computer animation is apparent.
