Beflecken had been chewed out by his mate Ushma for not having enough ambition and for that he brought dishonor to her and his cubs. While he didn't feel father hood was a waste of his time he wanted to please Ushma. She had a hot temper and she was not about to let things go until she got her way. Beflecken knew this and thus, slightly afraid of his mate, was here to prove his worth as a father and a mate but mostly as a viking. It had always been his cubhood dream to become a viking and by gods he was going to achieve that now. Even if it was a little on the late side.

He was a ready bodied and able male and he was ready to prove him self as a full blooded viking and not just the ghost cub of the mists.

"So .. What is the plan here.. ?" Were they to charge in blindly and hope for the best or were they going to plan their attack. Beflecken didn't mind either way.

Bast'ion had only just become a fully fledged member of the storm born with his family. It wasn't long before the challenge of actually becoming a viking peaked his interest and the lion had attached to him self to the next pillage to prove his worth. Fatherhood had not dimmed the fire in his soul. On the contrary, he was more ready to do some pillaging and possibly cause violence than ever. That was if blood wasn't involved. Blood still made him queezy and a little on the useless side. The lion was desperately trying to train him self out of that mind set but the luck he was having was minimal.

The kirin lion took a stance beside the darker male and awaited instructions of what it was exactly they were going to do to prove them selves worthy of the title of Reaver. He stood silent and mostly wanted to get the job done so he could move on.

It was Vaska's idea, going on a Viking with this particular group. It had a few newbies, more than Slava was used to. They had been the newbies for the longest time, so they stuck to those more experienced than they were.

The male had shoved his sister towards the group, only convincing her with the fact they they had been new at this once too. Of course, the two newbies were older than them, having been outside the pride for longer than either of them had been alive.

If anything, the two could probably teach them a thing or too. Slava huffed at her twin, clearly annoyed by him. She wouldn't be annoyed with him long,
so he didn't mind. He gave her an amused look.

"Since this is your first Viking," Vaska started. "We can either capture a thrall or steal something of value." The twins had captured a thrall on their first viking, but he didn't mention it to the pair.

Stealing wasn't easier, after all. Jibril just came with them after they herded her back towards the lands. Stealing would be much more difficult if an item was guarded.

Slava spoke next. "We should steal something," She suggested. Vaska shot her a look, she backpedaled a little. "But it's up to you."

"Stealing something seems like a good way to go," Beflecken was quicker to speak up than Bast'ion who had his mouth partially opened ready to reply with the complete opposite. He managed to close his mouth and look like it was just a yawn saving face before anyone noticed.

Beflecken was now a father and he had a bit of a soft spot, at least at the moment, for others that wasn't fully there before. Taking some one as a thrall wasn't something he didn't want to do but it wasn't exactly something he could do with a clean heart. If Ushma could see in to his thoughts right now she'd be hitting him pretty hard over the head.

Mean while, Bast'ion who was also a newly fathered, was looking forward to maybe getting a thrall at some point. It was something that he'd not bring up as he assumed this parties mind was already made up.

"Well," Bast'ion began, "What are we stealin' then? Lets get this over with," He cocked his head from side to side ready for some action.

Slava bounced on her toes. She hadn't gotten to steal anything in ages. She tried out things on her mother sometimes, trying to steal furs and items but every time, Nawiri would just come back around and take it back.

But that was her mother, and she was by herself. This was different. There were going to be four of them for this part, the rest of the group went on ahead a bit of the way, leaving the four to their thing.

Vaska gave a small snort.

"Stealing isn't always easy. Sometimes things are left a bit unattended, but the good stuff is always on a merchant." He wondered if either of them had stolen anything before.

"There's a few trade routes not far from here. We can scope it out, see if there's anything?" He suggested. He glanced towards Slava before gesturing towards where the trade route was.

He used them, sometimes, when he left the pride on his own. He didn't always enjoy doing these vikings, not like Slava did, but meeting other travelers would always be an interest for him. Perhaps one day he'd retire into a storyteller...

This was Befleckens first time outside of the pride ever so the information he was hearing right now was a little over whelming but he managed to keep him self together. There was no way they'd get over powered with four storm born together in a close knit group. They were all born warriors and it was something Beflecken had been preparing for all his life so he stood ready and gave a curt nod.

Bast'ion also gave a nod but was a little more lackadaisical about it. He wasn't too worried as he'd meet many lions and was ready for pretty much anything.

"Alright let's take that route and find a merchant. There is bound to be some traveling," Bast'ion agreed. He was more than ready for this and it showed in his burning blue eyes. He was more than prepared for a good ol' thieving. Hopefully there wouldn't be any blood. Blood still had a bit of an effect on the kirin lion.

Of course there would be someone travelling. It was a fairly common trade route. Caravans from Nil'nocere came through here, along with some dogs from a pack that Vaska couldn't quite remember the name of. There were prides and packs all over that cut through here.

It was close to water, which attracted prey so hunger wasn't an issue along the way to their next destination. There seemed to be always merchants somewhere along this path, despite the dangers of it being so close to the Myrsky jksnbgfd.

Bast'ion and Beflecken would have to find their own treatures along the route to gain their titles as Reavers, but that didn't mean Vaska and Slava couldn't join in. He rather hoped it wouldn't be a Caravan. While Nil'nocere Caravans tended to carry medical supplies and furs, they were intensely guarded when coming through this area.

Ahna was on her way to her next destination. She had traded some teeth from a deceased lion for beads and string. She carried a couple furs rolled tightly and packed against her side. She carried only a few things, sticking smaller items in pockets where she couldn't carry them on her own.

It had been a peaceful trip so far. She was warned, however, not to stray too far away. The sweet lioness was curious though, she'd never been attacked outside the pride before, so she wasn't worried.

Normally, she would have her mate come with her, though, an added precaution, but Ahna could take care of herself, thank you.

It was Bast'ion who was up and ready on the route. Beflecken was as well but it would be unfair to say he was as excited about this viking as Bast'ion. The kirin lions ears were perked up and he was scanning the route for any sign of movement.

For a long while there didn't seem to be anything as far as the two males could see. Beflecken looked back to their hosts Vaska and Slava to see what it was they were doing until his head whipped right back around as Bast'ion was making a small sound to alert the rest.

Up ahead was an approaching lion that seemed to be traveling with some goods. Beflecken squinted his eyes to get a better look. She seemed to have quite a few trinkets and seemed to be all alone.

"The perfect mark," Bast'ion whispered. Beflecken nodded in agreement but could feel a small twinge in his stomach. He wasn't exactly excited to steal from a lone lioness. The two stayed low waiting for the lioness to get a little closer.

"Go behind Fleck," Bast'ion ordered. Beflecken found him self listening despite being annoyed having orders barked at him. Bast'ion emerged from his hiding place and took a step square in front of the female merchants path.

"Well well well," He cocked his head to the side and looked down his nose at the lone female. "What have we here?"

Beflecken emerged from behind but was silent. He stood strong and kept a stoic look about him. It would be clear that neither of these males were here to buy anything.

If Ahna was honest with herself, she wouldn't be in this situation if she'd just listened. She also probably wouldn't be in this situation if she was more focused on her surroundings than what she had traded and what she could bargain for next.

Her ears flicked forward, alert at the pal lion in front of her. She wondered if she accidentally crossed over pride lines, for a moment. "I'm just passing through," She said, hoping her voice didn't waver with her nerves. She didn't notice the other male behind her, nor the two other lions watching from nearby.

All her attention was focused on Bast'ion.

Vaska watched closely. The plan was a good one, if he had to admit it out loud. The lioness they had trapped seemed pretty well aware of Bast'ion, and no one else. Even if she did put up a fight, they'd win easily.

Slava leaned against her brother to watch the scene not too far below them. She wondered if they could take this pretty lioness for their own, like they had taken Jibril. She seemed to want to put up a fight, and poor Beflecken seemed so uneasy whenever they brought up Thralls.

She wondered if he had a thrall. Something had to make him uneasy. She rolled her shoulders, wanting to slink forward to aid the two, but a small noise from Vaska held her back for a moment longer.

Beflecken stayed put where he was and watched Bast'ion and the other female looking for any sign that maybe he should close in. There were none so he stayed still.

Bast'ion looked the female up and down in a no sexual way. "Seems ta me you're pretty heavy on the goods lil' lady~" He made a whistling sound with his maw, "Seems like you might need some help given I'm sure we'd not want a lil' lady such as your self gettin' hurt. Now come on now. Put them goods down nice an easy like," He took a few menacing steps forward allowing his less savvy traits shine all the way through. This was a complete departure from what he'd trained almost his entire life for. This was spitting in his god fathers face and Bast'ion couldn't give one ******** about that right now.

His claws extended to saw he meant business.

"Now we gonna do this nice like or we gonna have to get physical?" He cocked his head from side to side allowing his bones to be heard cracking very loudly.

Beflecken held his ground. There was still no sign for him to advance so he looked over his shoulder for Vaska and Slava wondering if they might have an idea.

Ahna was determined not to lose her goods. She worked hard on these things and she wasn't about to give them up without a fight. She could take him, if she had to. It wasn't as if she had never fought.

She was strong, she could lug all her items around across long distances, so she had muscle. Sometimes she sparred with some of the other pride members, when she was feeling up to it. She'd fought before. She'd bled before.

"If you want it, come and take it from me," She growled, holding her ground. Her ears flicked back and she held her snarl. She might look dainty and weak, but she wasn't all that helpless. She might, maybe could take him. At least she could say she tried.

Slava's ears flicked forward, and her muscles drew tight. She could see this situation becoming a fight easily, and suddenly it became interesting. She would be disappointed if Bast'ion didn't leave a little bit of fight for her. Vaska, on the other hand, wanted to see how far Bast'ion and Beflecken would take this.

They could join, anyway, but the two had to prove themselves to become reavers. Otherwise it wouldn't be worth anything. He watched Beflecken look at him, and frowned.

He nodded his head in a 'go on!' motion. This wasn't just Bast'ion's fight after all...

"Mighty tough words for a lioness out here all on her own ~" Bast'ion's claws flexed some more. "I wouldn't be traveling with such goods n all alone."

Beflecken took that as his queue to come around and become known. The dark lion didn't feel good about taking goods from a female it felt wrong and this one seemed so small compared to stormborn females. Maybe that was sexist of him and if it was it was probable that his mate Ushma would hit him over the head for those thoughts.

Despite these conflicting thoughts the dark male did his job looking menacing and big. Maybe not overly large for a storm born but he was a standard sized male in general. Beflecken stayed silent and kept his claws out.

"Now seeing as there is one of you and two of us and I'm not gonna lie to you miss. I ain't lookin for a fair fight so you best put your ideas of a fight behind ya unless you want to lose much more than trinkets. That can still rightfully be arranged but it'd be a shame." This felt natural to Bast'ion. The more tough talk he did the more he fell in to his role of a high way robber.

"Come on now, put those goods down unless you really want a life full of regret." The kirin lion's blue eyes looked to the ground where he wanted those goods.

Beflecken took a few steps forward to show that the two were serious. If need be he'd attack this female for the sake of his families honor but he really didn't want it to escalate to that.

"It's probably better you do as he says." Befleckens voice was calm with out any character added to it. There was a sincerity of a father mixed in there like he really didn't want to have to fight this female but not because he was afraid as much as he really did care for her well being.

Ahna flinched when the second figure approached. She hadn't noticed him at all. She could definitely take one, but she was uncertain about two. She might be able to just...

Run.

She would have to abandon her things, if she ran, and if that's what they wanted then it'd be the easiest and quickest way to get away. She sucked in a breath, a small tremble running down her spine.

Trading was how she got most of her things, though. She would have to start from scratch. She'd be poor. She would lose her customer base, and she'd be left with nothing. She wished she'd at least brought someone with her. A bird or a dog, something that could help her in a situation like this.

"If you didn't want to fight, you shouldn't have approached me," She snarked. She was sure it would evoke a response. She wouldn't die here, though, but at least she could say she fought for what was rightfully hers.

"You're not getting anything without some blood involved, Vámr," she spat.

Slava snorted. She thought this would be easy for the two would-be reavers, but it looked like they were in for a fight. Vaska looked at his sister and took a step forward. Perhaps he should help after all...

"Oh," Bast'ion growled, "So that's how it's gonna be huh? Fine. Have it your way." Despite showing his claws earlier he sheathed them. It was a small detail that even Beflecken standing right next to him did not notice. He was quick to lift his paw and strike the female square in the jaw with out so much as a flinch.

Something snapped in Beflecken as well where he was right behind Bast'ion and took his turn to strike with his claws out landing a very hard hit on the females shoulder. There was something wet feeling between his paws and when he snapped to he saw red. Blood.

Beflecken hadn't meant to draw any blood only meant to scare her but his inner fire seemed to burn hot enough for a moment to cloud his judgement. His viking heart could not be contained when there was serious business apparently no matter how domestic he'd become. Ushma would be proud but Beflecken couldn't help but imagine he'd just stroke one of his own daughters. There was no room to grow soft though so he jammed those thoughts in the back of his mind.

"Come on now give us the goods or get worse," Bast'ion was dropping his high way robber character entirely and doing his best not to look at the shoulder Beflecken had struck at. He could feel a slight jitter of shakiness slightly starting to creep in. He would not look there. He had no patience now that this had gotten really real.
