It was Vaska's idea, going on a Viking with this particular group. It had a few newbies, more than Slava was used to. They had been the newbies for the longest time, so they stuck to those more experienced than they were.
The male had shoved his sister towards the group, only convincing her with the fact they they had been new at this once too. Of course, the two newbies were older than them, having been outside the pride for longer than either of them had been alive.
If anything, the two could probably teach them a thing or too. Slava huffed at her twin, clearly annoyed by him. She wouldn't be annoyed with him long, so he didn't mind. He gave her an amused look.
"Since this is your first Viking," Vaska started. "We can either capture a thrall or steal something of value." The twins had captured a thrall on their first viking, but he didn't mention it to the pair.
Stealing wasn't easier, after all. Jibril just came with them after they herded her back towards the lands. Stealing would be much more difficult if an item was guarded.
Slava spoke next. "We should steal something," She suggested. Vaska shot her a look, she backpedaled a little. "But it's up to you."

Slava bounced on her toes. She hadn't gotten to steal anything in ages. She tried out things on her mother sometimes, trying to steal furs and items but every time, Nawiri would just come back around and take it back.
But that was her mother, and she was by herself. This was different. There were going to be four of them for this part, the rest of the group went on ahead a bit of the way, leaving the four to their thing.
Vaska gave a small snort.
"Stealing isn't always easy. Sometimes things are left a bit unattended, but the good stuff is always on a merchant." He wondered if either of them had stolen anything before.
"There's a few trade routes not far from here. We can scope it out, see if there's anything?" He suggested. He glanced towards Slava before gesturing towards where the trade route was.
He used them, sometimes, when he left the pride on his own. He didn't always enjoy doing these vikings, not like Slava did, but meeting other travelers would always be an interest for him. Perhaps one day he'd retire into a storyteller...

Of course there would be someone travelling. It was a fairly common trade route. Caravans from Nil'nocere came through here, along with some dogs from a pack that Vaska couldn't quite remember the name of. There were prides and packs all over that cut through here.
It was close to water, which attracted prey so hunger wasn't an issue along the way to their next destination. There seemed to be always merchants somewhere along this path, despite the dangers of it being so close to the Myrsky jksnbgfd.
Bast'ion and Beflecken would have to find their own treatures along the route to gain their titles as Reavers, but that didn't mean Vaska and Slava couldn't join in. He rather hoped it wouldn't be a Caravan. While Nil'nocere Caravans tended to carry medical supplies and furs, they were intensely guarded when coming through this area.
Ahna was on her way to her next destination. She had traded some teeth from a deceased lion for beads and string. She carried a couple furs rolled tightly and packed against her side. She carried only a few things, sticking smaller items in pockets where she couldn't carry them on her own.
It had been a peaceful trip so far. She was warned, however, not to stray too far away. The sweet lioness was curious though, she'd never been attacked outside the pride before, so she wasn't worried.
Normally, she would have her mate come with her, though, an added precaution, but Ahna could take care of herself, thank you.

If Ahna was honest with herself, she wouldn't be in this situation if she'd just listened. She also probably wouldn't be in this situation if she was more focused on her surroundings than what she had traded and what she could bargain for next.
Her ears flicked forward, alert at the pal lion in front of her. She wondered if she accidentally crossed over pride lines, for a moment. "I'm just passing through," She said, hoping her voice didn't waver with her nerves. She didn't notice the other male behind her, nor the two other lions watching from nearby.
All her attention was focused on Bast'ion.
Vaska watched closely. The plan was a good one, if he had to admit it out loud. The lioness they had trapped seemed pretty well aware of Bast'ion, and no one else. Even if she did put up a fight, they'd win easily.
Slava leaned against her brother to watch the scene not too far below them. She wondered if they could take this pretty lioness for their own, like they had taken Jibril. She seemed to want to put up a fight, and poor Beflecken seemed so uneasy whenever they brought up Thralls.
She wondered if he had a thrall. Something had to make him uneasy. She rolled her shoulders, wanting to slink forward to aid the two, but a small noise from Vaska held her back for a moment longer.

Ahna was determined not to lose her goods. She worked hard on these things and she wasn't about to give them up without a fight. She could take him, if she had to. It wasn't as if she had never fought.
She was strong, she could lug all her items around across long distances, so she had muscle. Sometimes she sparred with some of the other pride members, when she was feeling up to it. She'd fought before. She'd bled before.
"If you want it, come and take it from me," She growled, holding her ground. Her ears flicked back and she held her snarl. She might look dainty and weak, but she wasn't all that helpless. She might, maybe could take him. At least she could say she tried.
Slava's ears flicked forward, and her muscles drew tight. She could see this situation becoming a fight easily, and suddenly it became interesting. She would be disappointed if Bast'ion didn't leave a little bit of fight for her. Vaska, on the other hand, wanted to see how far Bast'ion and Beflecken would take this.
They could join, anyway, but the two had to prove themselves to become reavers. Otherwise it wouldn't be worth anything. He watched Beflecken look at him, and frowned.
He nodded his head in a 'go on!' motion. This wasn't just Bast'ion's fight after all...

Ahna flinched when the second figure approached. She hadn't noticed him at all. She could definitely take one, but she was uncertain about two. She might be able to just...
Run.
She would have to abandon her things, if she ran, and if that's what they wanted then it'd be the easiest and quickest way to get away. She sucked in a breath, a small tremble running down her spine.
Trading was how she got most of her things, though. She would have to start from scratch. She'd be poor. She would lose her customer base, and she'd be left with nothing. She wished she'd at least brought someone with her. A bird or a dog, something that could help her in a situation like this.
"If you didn't want to fight, you shouldn't have approached me," She snarked. She was sure it would evoke a response. She wouldn't die here, though, but at least she could say she fought for what was rightfully hers.
"You're not getting anything without some blood involved, Vámr," she spat.
Slava snorted. She thought this would be easy for the two would-be reavers, but it looked like they were in for a fight. Vaska looked at his sister and took a step forward. Perhaps he should help after all...
