Wren flopped on Alex in theirv cell. Both of them has been kidnapped at seperate times by a particularly nasty group, and Wren was tired three weeks in. She wanted to sleep again, but then, the pair was treated like normal reploids... Leaving Wren to feebly report to JARVIS. There was a commotion upstairs -- had been - but Wren was just tired, yawning and burrowing in Alex tiredly. "mmmmmm. Can't they kill people quieter?" Redbud-Tree Abused imprisoned babies. Pls rescue and give followup care plxkthx.

Alex whimpered and tried to snuggle closer in to Wren, shaking and desperate to try and ignore his hurts. There wasn't much else he could do at the moment, with his vocal processor damaged and... well, many other things he simply didn't want to think about paining him. But he was at least thankful Wren was here - that he wasn't alone in this place... even as he felt horrible for being glad of that, because of course he wanted her safe and free. It was just.... He was hurt, and scared, and her being here made it slightly more bearable. Not that he'd ever say as much, even if he could. Upstairs, the noises continued, and Alex blinked as he recognized what sounded like weaponry... and shouting. Eyes widening, he tugged at Wren's arm, trying to get her to pay attention. That wasn't the normal sort of sounds from their kidnappers - maybe.... maybe their rescue was finally at hand?

Wren rolled her head to look to Alex, rubbing his hand and offering a tired smile. While he couldn't speak, she was too worn, and she squeezed his hand. Trying to speak was... too hard. Wren motioned, questioningly towards the noises abovem and blinked. Did that sound like Kitty or Zee? Because it was sabre noises, but that was all she heard, and the worn down bridge made sabre noises with her mouth, and giggled.

Alex shrugged tiredly, nuzzling in against his cousin and trying to smile. It didn't really work, with the condition they were both in, but it was a good try nonetheless. Maybe it was one of them, maybe it was both, maybe - maybe it was someone else entirely. Either way, though, he hoped it meant they would be getting out of here soon. He wanted to get out of here more than he had wanted anything before r would want anything after this. If they could get out of here, then everything would be okay. He knew it would be, Maybe it would take a while, but... it had to get better from here, didn't it? He couldn't really picture it not, not if they were really going to be rescued. Rescues ended with everything turning out okay in the end, didn't they?

Wren sagged further, burrowing into Alex for warmth as she felt her mind drifting, moving into the black of sleepo as a distant sound of metal puncturing their holding door echoed in the room. *** Sami barely left Alex for the following weeks, except to get broth, lemon juice, more broth, or his video games, sitting at her twin's side in medical as he entered ICU after she'd literally forced Colonel to help rescue the pair (Not hard -- while Alex wasn't easy, mentioning Wren had him QUITE agreeable), she'd stayed when he got a room with their cousin, and Sami even helped with his speech while his vocal processor began recovery, kissing her twin's cheek again. No, it wasn't Zee, but Zee was often visiting, fussing, and doting, and hey! Alex was allowed solids. So, today, Sami had crept out, returning at lunch with a pan as she sliced in it, placing a lemon bar in front of Alex gently. "Hey. Hey bro. I made you something, fresh and warm." Not hot though -- not yet. Wren watched Sami with Alex quietly, still dizzy. Her time recovering was a blur of automata and black, unable to recall what was what until her body felt less off. Not eating was unpleasant and her body, while able to withstand, didn't like it. So when she was weaned back to solids, Wren had taken to a reaction she felt fine -- eating as much as humanly possible until her nurses said no or her plate was clean; usually, the latter. At fork point. Today Wren was nibbling at some lettuce, weatching the twins interact quietly as she nibbled in deep thought, eyes going back out the window as ennui plagued her mindset. Bored. Bored so bored and lso tired of bed and she didn't want to interrupt the twins' bonding time, not really. Nibble.

Alex wasn't really feeling up to lemon bars, today - which might have sounded strange, except he just wasn't up to much in general. Sure, he was allowed solids now, and he'd probably nibble at the bar later on, but right now... right now he was more worried about Wren, and he glanced at her before frowning at Sami. "Hi," he said, voice coming out hoarse and quiet but at least there, which was something he was never going to take for granted again. "Nothing for Wren?" She seemed to be in a worse mood than he was, if only because she was bored. And. Really. She was nibbling lettuce. Who nibbled at lettuce when it had literally no flavor? Boredom was a mood-killer, that was for sure. And he couldn't even do as much with his video games because he kept getting in trouble for overdoing it, or for hacking into the hospital's wifi when he was supposed to no be taxing himself, and - and ugh. At least he had his games at all. Wren seemed kind of stuck, though, and he wanted to help her. Somehow. But... how? And it was his fault she was stuck in here with him in the first place, or at least that's what he thought.

"Wren's been picky." Samiu roled her eyes largely. "So I left my accomplice in rescue her favorites from Hubert's. But I was hoping now you're less fubared help me spring him before his boss works him half to death for sneaking off with a non-commanding Hunter for an unapproved rescue." Sami motioned, pulling her laptop out and offering Alex an open connective port to her systems. "I know you're not up to soloing Cyberspace for E-Mail but surely General will let him go if S-Class Hunrter X happenbed to personally trquest the presence of the hero that saved him and his assistant on their 'botched mission." At THAT, Sami hesitated, then snickered mischievously. "That or we're blunt and threaten to make Wren's recovery Repliforce's pr4oblem. I'm pretty sure General likes Wren enough he'll shut up." Sami sat, holding her sibling close, her arm shielding him from any risk of threat as she finger coimbed his hair. She actually preferred the lattwer -- Colonel HAD been of more than plenty of help, and Sami had plans to thank him herself later with cookies for himself and his sister -- to begin with anyhow. But Alex was worrying about their cousin and Sami could tell. He was fond of the bridge -- that much was abundantly clear by how often they hung out or spent time playing games, or tried to work together as Wren's tenure with Repliforce yielded better skill. They worked together well, and Sami actually liked seeing her twin close to others -- she wanted and needed his happiness to feel okay. So when she glanced at Wren looking around at them and waving idly, Sami made a face. "She's still out of it isn't she." Wren, for her part, nibbled the rest of her leaf, and chirped softly, beginning on nibbling a strawberry with tiny birdlike noises much like Shadow used when nibbling. What were those two up to? Was it fun? Could she help? "Skrr?"

"That's... a good idea," Alex said, frowning over at Wren before he connected to Sami's systems to see what he could do. They were both still recovering, and a visit from Colonel would certainly perk Wren up. Or at least snap her out of the weird mood she'd been in lately. Really. Lettuce. "The latter's... probably a better idea," he added thoughtfully, rubbing at his throat as he did so. "No need to... make any debt problems worse." When Wren looked over, he frowned at her, then pinched a corner of his lemon bar off and tossed it at her head. "You're being a bird again," he muttered dryly, then sighed. "And you... do know that's lettuce you were eating, right? Nothing worth eating." The strawberry is... better, but still. Ew.

"Oh please, I'm the one who owes on this not you." Sami rolled her eyes. "At least Zee and Kitty understood perfectly well why I pulled an independant movement so THEY signed off AFTER before I got disciplined. I just... Managed to hijack the services of the Repliforce second in command but in fairness Wren can be argued as theirs so if anyone's in a messy debt situation it's me." As Sami allowed him full use of her hacking systems, she in turn moved internally to scan her twin over, crooning love and protectiveness as she picked over his systems, and corrected small irregularities as she did, doting on her sibling warmly. He was all-important to HER, sharing the title of X or not, and Sami wasn't letting thr younger of the X duo suffer if she could share her strength to aid his recovery. Wren blinked, making a slow skrr before pouncing the lemon square pievce rapidly, devouring it before returning to her berry and any sort of grace, blue eyes wide at Alex inquisitively. Yes, she was FEELING birdlike, was that a problem? Shadoo didn't mind if she acted birdy when she lost time so THERE, and she summed up her response qwith a firm stare. "SKRRRAW." And back to her food. LETTUCE WAS STILL FOOD OM NOM NOM NOM.
