Weapon(s): Uriel and Phanuel: Twin hand axes with silver blades and lavender-colored handles. The handles have guards on them that allow for protection and versatility as Mauve is quite to use these two sling around his weapons. They all have triggers that allow for short-range automatic fire to be shot from the tops of the weapons. When greater distance is required, these two combine to create Oriphiel.
Oriphiel: A submachine gun created by attaching the lengths of the handles of Uriel and Phanuel. Doing so causes the weapons to transform into a weapon akin to an MP40, an automatic submachine gun with decent range and power.

Semblance: Emanated Empathy: Mauve is able to project his emotions onto friend or foe as long as an aura is present, locked or not. Essentially, it's his aura infecting someone else's. This semblance is very useful in everyday life and has capabilities for combat against other humans and faunus, but it doesn't work at all on Grimm. Keep in mind that this doesn't allow Mauve to sense the emotions of others, either, but he's gotten rather good at reading people. He'll happily use his semblance if a situation calls for it...or to mess with someone if he feels. It can affect any human or faunus within a five yard radius.

Personality:
❖ Mauve is a very outgoing person with a bright personality. He's happy to meet new people and make new friends as long as given the chance. The boy personally hates seeing others suffer, so he does his best to make sure people are feeling alright. This, however, doesn't stop him from playing pranks now and again. If someone assumes he's a girl, he may not deny it right away. If a friend left their scroll on the table next to him, he'll probably stuff it in his pocket for a couple minutes before revealing he had it the whole time. None of his antics will ever lead to major consequences, and they're all in good fun, so no harm no foul. Of course, if his perception of a person leads him to believe they may not be able to take a joke or two, he'll begrudgingly leave them be. There's a difference between goofing around and picking on someone. He'll also only RARELY do this to adults or anyone he can tell or knows are stronger than him, only when "appropriate". Despite his lighthearted antics, Mauve is often seen as a good friend and emotionally stable.
His manner while fighting grimm is very similar. He'll toy around with them if he can for the sake of having a good time and enjoying himself. With grimm being attracted to negative emotions, it's important that one keep a cool head when out in the wilderness or while fighting these creatures. Any sign of weakness will allow them the idea of a chance to strike. That's why Mauve always keeps himself in high spirits. Emotions are infectious, so it's best that good ones be spread instead of bad.
All of this does not mean that Mauve isn't capable of being serious. He's always serious. His capability of being able to read a room can allow his bubbly personality to remedy a tense situation; however, if it's highly uncalled for or nothing can be done, he's very much aware of those times. So if Mauve isn't smiling, it's business time.
History:
❖ For the most part, Mauve's life has been rather lax. He grew up with his mother, father, and three siblings on the outskirts of Vale. As the oldest, Mauve has the responsibility as serving as a role model to his younger brother and sisters. Taking up this mantle since he was first called "big brother", he's done his best to care for his younger siblings as well as help his parents around the house. This manner of thinking has also transferred over to how he treats and take cares of his friends and others, very frequently being pegged as the "mom" of a group. That description much more suited his appearance than his "big brother" role. After getting sick and tired of being called "baby face", "sissy boy", and the like, Mauve decided to embrace his soft features as well as help his sisters stay on-the-cusp of Vale fashion. That's when he began wearing clothing affiliated with women's fashion and even learning how to use makeup properly. Why stop at being the ultimate big brother when you could be the best big sister, too? This could serve for it's own amount of fun, and something that started as a little joke became another part of the boy.
He discovered his semblance when they came into close contact with a massive pack of grimm. The Ackles kids were told to go out and grab firewood seeing as it was getting into the cold season. Mauve happily agreed, swinging a hand over his shoulder and hustling his siblings out the door. He blames himself for what could have happened. As they got further from town and more into the woods, he'd been teasing the kids a little about ghost stories. The tales creeped Emi, the youngest, out much more than Mauve had expected, serving as a beacon to nearby grimm. Even the smallest snap of a twig had the poor thing jumping out of her skin. It was kind of obvious, though, when they began stalking them. The monsters hadn't quite caught onto where they were, so he took the hands of his sisters and whispered that they had to hide. At this point, all of the kids were in a panic. Mauve desperately tried to calm them down, pulling them close as a beowolf neared the toppled tree they leaned against. Worried this would be their last moments together, the young man looked directly into their eyes and smiled, telling them that everything would be okay. Little did any of them know that the calm that washed over the group was suggested by Mauve's semblance. The beowolves quickly lost their interest without the emanating emotions or visual, and all four children escaped without a scratch. Every once in a while, though, Mauve will wonder what would've happened if he hadn't kept his cool. Those thoughts allow him to keep himself under control when fighting grimm today, those "what ifs..."
Wanting to be able to protect not only Emi, Martin, and Orchid but anyone he could in such a way, Mauve's goals lied with becoming a huntsman. This way, he'd be able to keep his whole village safe, so he began training on his own and with a few village guards with the hand axes he would take out to gather wood. It was during this time that he'd meet a passing huntsman who would suggest Beacon, the closest school, and a good blacksmith.

You'll never see him wear a skirt unless it's for something a little more elaborate, like sneaking into a beauty competition, stuff like that. All for the sake of more fun. Personality:
❖ Patient and kind, Velvet is usually very accepting and happy to help those in need. She's become a little more outgoing in her years, especially with her job as a professor of combat studies at Beacon Academy. When it comes to students, she does her best to appear as an approachable authority figure, using her co-workers and previous professors as a means of example to follow. It's not uncommon for her to become a favorite, however, given her mild temper and fewer homework assignments than most. The latter is more of a consequence of the class she teaches rather than her own doing, however. Professor Scarlatina is happy to help her students who ask for any extra assistance and keep an eye on those who may be struggling. As far as her fellow staff members go, she's quite open to them although finds it difficult to see some of her old professors as peers rather than uppers.
When it comes to her friends, she's very supportive, both socially/emotionally and in combat. Velvet's glad to lend a helping hand if anyone asks or needs it. In that respect, she's seen as very reliable on many fronts and is considered a valued friend and ally. If she sees a comrade suffering, she feels deep concern for them and will do what she can to help. Pray you don't earn her ire, for anger is an extremely rare emotion for her as she's willing to put up with so much. This is mostly saved for extreme situations, of course.
On the whole, Velvet Scarlatina is a very caring person despite her timid nature, though she's been working on that for some time now. One person in particular helped her come out of her shell, but it isn't suggested anyone bringing him up unless they're prepared for a anxiety-induced rant.
History:
❖ Post Fall of Beacon: After the fall of Beacon, Velvet had gone back home for a time to catch up with her family. The atmosphere was tense. While the welcome home was a warm one, it felt as though there were something no one wanted to say, no one wanted to address. Everyone back home had obviously been quite concerned for her safety when they'd heard about the events at the school. No one talked about it. No one dared. Her family didn't want to hurt her, and she didn't want them to worry anymore than they already had. During this time, she kept in contact with her team via mail and helped some local huntsmen clear some more frisky grimm every now and again. Something was missing, though. It felt wrong that she was simply relaxing at home when so many were struggling back in the city, back at Beacon. Velvet lived this way for a few years before bringing up her concerns with Coco, still seeing her as a leader or role model of sorts despite no longer being at Beacon Academy. After receiving her reply, the rabbit faunus made her decision to return to the City of Vale and help the faculty, huntsmen, and huntresses clear and rebuild it.
It was here that she'd become closer to the professors of the school and decided her future. Being a huntress was all about aiding others, and what better way to do so by paving the way for the huntsmen and huntresses of the future? During the remodeling of the city and school, Ozpin returned along with the classmates she fought alongside during the fall. He was much younger and looked, honestly, like a different person. While it was jarring, her friends confirmed that this was indeed the same headmaster she'd met on her first day of school. This reappearance restored a great deal of hope in many, speeding up the restoration process significantly. It felt that way in everyone's hearts when the reality of the situation was that it took several years. As the dust began to settle, people moved back to the city and activity in the area slowly picked up again. She took this opportunity to request an application as a professor to Beacon Academy from Ozpin. While there were a few formalities that needed to be fulfilled, but he graciously agreed, and Velvet began working toward her new goal.
It was during this time that she began coming by more familiar faces. Team CVFY even had a sort of reunion. There was a sort of normality forming again. The Fall of Beacon was a tragedy, one where many were lost or injured, and the months following were no better. Some faces still held the remnants of despair experienced on that day. One in particular had surprised her, though: Lyon Garnet. Velvet had initially been surprised to see him back in town at all let alone with the pain he carried. He seemed thoroughly...broken. Remembering enjoying classes and school life with him, it broke her heart to see the man this way. It had been quite a while since that time, so she was genuinely surprised that he even remembered her. She took whatever opportunity she could to try to help him, show that she cared, that someone cared. Lyon slowly began to come around, and Velvet slowly realized that her feelings ran a little deeper than just concern for her comrade. A few years ago, however, he dropped off the face of Remnant, gone on a mission and never came back. It was around that time Velvet had started her first semester of teaching and wouldn't have been able to search for him if she wanted to.
Professor Scarlatina is a student favorite whether that's her goal of not. She currently teaches combat studies and oversees sparring between students, offering tips and pointers to those who need them. While on campus, Velvet is usually trailed by her cat, Latte. She'd found the stray as a kitten and took him in as Oz was nice enough to let him on campus. On weekends, it's common for her to hang out with Coco or Weiss Schnee, go shopping, or take up a quicker mission. Basically, she's just taking things a day at a time, wondering exactly what happened to Lyon.
