She read the message over and smirked. kuropeco TXT to BOSS :: alrigh, i'll meet u in the pit, nash. and it's only sexy if ur into that sort of thing ;D She wasted no time in getting to the training fields. After the visit to her room, she had needed a little outlet for the residual emotions that had kept their roots in her head.

He was also fond of the nickname she'd given him, maybe a bit smugly. Nash coiled the whip around his hand and gave Sonja a wide smirk, head tilted up as he let his gaze flicker to the two tonfas she held. He still hadn't managed to get the hang of handling his weapon, but he was sure as hell gonna try.
"All right, hot stuff, show me what you've got."
He swung the whip forward, snapping it out towards her legs.

It had been far too long since she had had anything close to a spar. It was refreshing. Even pain, in it's own way. It showed her just how alive and able she was to do what she had set out to do. It was nice to feel the burn and stretch of a good battle that didn't involve anyone he disliked or anyone he was frustrated with at the present. Nash managed to dodge Sonja's next swing, but he skittered to the side and snapped the whip back at her, trying to knock her off her feet.
"New plan," he said, "Whoever wins owes the other person a favor."

" Ooo, makin' this interesting now? "If there was one of the many things Sonja couldn't resist, it was a bet. Something to make this spar that much more fun and challenging. " You're on! "A sharp grunt followed her words after she ate the attack from the whip and fell to the ground. Sonja did her best in recovering with a quick tumble back. She often forgot how quick that damned whip could be! But he wasn't the only one with a decent amount of speed. With a quick planting of her blade in the earth, she used them to help gain a good leap forward, blades out at her sides to come up from the bottom. Quote: HP: 34/40 Damage: 0 Charges: 0/3

"Don't I always make s**t interesting?" Nash asked, in a mock wounded tone of voice. He gave Sonja a grin. "Come on, you've seen me through centipedes, a creepy island, truth night, and dare night, even if you missed speed dating - what don't I make interesting?"
He slid sideways, trying to avoid Sonja's next swing, those claws of hers passing barely an inch from his side. Nash twisted around, coiled the whip, and shot it out again towards her, metal clacking noisily against metal as the segments unrolled.
"Maybe I'm getting the hang of this thing."

" Truer words have never been said! " If there was anything in this world that Sonja knew of to be of Nash, it was with how he seemed to always put a spark into something and make it that much more fun! A swift swear left her lips after yet another one of her attacks failed to hit. She must be off her game more than she had thought. She had mean't to block the attack just ended up with creating a clearer path for the whip to nick her right in the calf. She winced before brandishing another smirk in Nash's direction. " Good to see one of us is. " She planted one foot down before hooking her blades, took a stance before bringing one of her blades over like a right hook. Quote: HP: 27/40 Damage: 2 Charges: 1/3

One of Sonja's hits finally connected. Nash staggered back with a gasp, the whip clicking and rattling as he slid on the slick grass, feet moving instinctively to keep himself from falling over. He swept his hair back away from his face and grinned over at her.
"Well, that's debatable. I keep ********' losing every spar I've asked for recently. This is some weird fluke."
He swung the whip outwards, trying for her torso this time.

" Oh? " It was hard to see with how he was fighting that he had lost any of his matches. That or she was just that rusty. Either way, she gave him a sly smirk at watching the other nearly stagger from her attack. " Boss, you're meanin' to tell me I'm gonna be yer first? " She covered the hiss from the hit to her torso with a sharp chuckle. She hadn't had much time to even time to block it but it gave her a good advantage. He gave a snort of laughter.
"Honey, my first was like, ten years ago," Nash said, then let out a squawk as Sonja came pelting towards him, her claws raking his arm. He stumbled, black painted fingers slipping on the whip handle as he struggled to keep himself from toppling ******** - oh, never mind - "
He dropped the whip entirely and lunged towards Sonja, feeling the burn in his muscles, the way it felt to move without the cumbersome weapon. Nash curled his fingers together and moved to throw a punch in the direction of her stomach.
"You're really makin' me work for it here, Masks McGee."

Well, that was one way to wipe a smug smirk from the masked hunter. Sonja had thought she had disarmed him in some way. But it looked more like he was just in favor of jumping her instead. " You bet yer a** I'm gonna! " She planted her blades down and thrust them into the earth to try and block the attack. Of course, she timing was off by just enough for a well aimed fist to make contact with her stomach. She staggered back from the hit but kept her footing. She braced herself with fists up. This was what she remembering being good at. A good ol' fist fight! " I ain't so easy to take down, Boss. " She stepped forward with a fist aiming right for his shoulder. He was much, much more successful with using his hands than that stupid whip. Nash's fist made contact with Sonja's stomach with a whoomph of air that was pleasing, at least until she slammed her own hand into his shoulder and sent him reeling backwards.
"No, you're not," he wheezed, grinning wildly. "That's exactly why I like you."
Nash swung again, aiming for her side this time.
