One of the first things Toby did upon starting at his new school was to get himself as involved as possible with music and performance. He had a viola, and wasn’t bad at it, and could muddle through other similar string instruments…and theoretically sing and dance as well, although he generally didn’t jump for those. Still, that all meant that it was relatively easy to get involved, and make some friends along the way.
It was with one of these new friends, a slightly older boy named Tom, that he found himself with one day after school, set up in a nice semi-secluded spot near campus, the two of them going back and forth with different musical riffs, and generally having a good time. The spot was the edge of a park, essentially, a few trees around, wall of some building or another to one side, some benches, a view of a road not far off with cars going by occasionally. Toby's companion was taller than he, standing at 5'8", and while it was clear that Toby was the more athletic of the two, Tom was still pretty good looking and fit, with short brown hair and grey eyes.
Tom was trying to get Toby to play some folk music, “fiddling,” although it was a bit awkward on a viola, and he was new at it, so he wasn’t doing that great.
Still, it was good fun, and they were at it for a couple hours. Was even starting to get dark—which brought to mind his encounter with one of those “youma” things not so long ago. But this was a busy, populous area, not a sleepy side road, so surely they’d be safe…right? Even now, people occasionally stopped by to investigate the source of the music. Some stayed for a few minutes, then moved on. The boys were clearly not putting on a performance, although did manage to not sound terrible as they played around with their respective sounds.

I figured I'd play Tom in the scene until such time that he is...well, not playable, but you may do whatever you wish with him~

Darkness had begun to slip over the city and with that, the creatures of the night had begun to emerge. One such demon was the young agent Piypite. This evening she was alone, her partner in crime tending to matters of his own, though Piy had a feeling none of them were very...legal. Not that it mattered.
Music had pulled her attention towards two males sitting down with some string instrument she was not familiar with.
No matter, it wasn't the music that had her eyes. It was the two rather attractive males that made Piy stop and stare.
Licking her lips, the agent had used the others who stopped to watch as her distraction to slip back around the pair. There, in the shadows, the woman had stopped and waiting. Too many witnesses. Too many to get involved. Their turns would come soon enough.
It was under the cover of darkness that Piypite finally made her appearance. Without a word, without a care, the young woman walked with a playful grin on her face straight towards the males.
"My, aren't you two talented. I have to wonder if strings are the only things you can finger?" Licking her lips as she slipped her hands behind her back and leaned forward, she eyed the viola. "I've never seen one of these. I would ask for a lesson but..." Her hand slipped back around, making a point to land on Tom's shoulder. It began to slide down his back in a slow motion. "You just look too tasty to waste."
When Tom fell forward onto the viola, Piypite eyed the man next to him, grinning now as she held up a small glowing stone. "Indeed...very tasty."

The musical duo wasn't really too worried about someone coming in close...a few people did, peering at how they moved to play things, and they stopped if people got too close. Talk politely, then get them to go away again. So, someone else coming up wasn't looked at with too much worry...until it was much too late. They stopped when she started speaking, and touched Tom, who got about half of a word out and most of a typical teenager's lecherous grin before he went silent and slumped over onto Toby's instrument.
Toby had honestly no idea what just happened, and let out a startled gasp. "T-Tom? What...?" his gaze turned to the girl. "What just happened? Who...are you?" He scooted away a little, glancing around for how he could possibly get out of this, or maybe something that would make a good bludgeon--a string instrument makes a terrible weapon...and his had an unconscious (he hoped) head on it, anyway. He definitely had the impression that this girl was seriously bad news. "What d-do you mean...'tasty'? And what's that thing?"
Hopefully, part of his mind decided, asking questions would delay whatever bad things were coming enough to find a solution.

Grinning even more, Piypite raised the starseed to her lips and tapped it gently there. A slow lick and she flicked it back into the palm of her hand. "My, handsome but not the brightest tool in the bunch now are you? Tasty as in delightful to eat."
With a flick of her wrist, Piy showed him the crystal again. "And this, is a starseed." With those words, she began to walk towards him, eyes casting a shadow down on him as if she planned to eat him as well. "Or should I say, your friend's soul. Such a fragile little thing. One wrong move and I could just...crush it into fine powder."
"But you...I wouldn't mind a piece of you before I send you after him. Humans...such a waste of resources."

Toby was definitely getting the idea of what this girl was...of course, his knowledge was pretty incomplete, so the conclusion he drew was...a bit off. "You...you're one of those, uh, Youma things, aren't you?" he asked her, glancing around worriedly...and then right on the starseed.
"There's...no need to crush it," he said, holding up a slightly shaking hand. "You could just, uh...put...put it back?" The possibility of asking nicely actually working seemed laughably pointless, but...what else was he gonna do? She could clearly kill him with a touch! "...Please?"
Oh god, please don't kill me, he was thinking. Don't die, don't die... Not exactly, you know, wonderful thoughts to be having. But this was a very...compromised position to be in, and he was super unprepared.

The smile on Piypite's face faltered. Slowly the edges began to lower and her wide eyes began to narrow. It wasn't sudden but it was a dark, twisted look that began to take form on the agent's face. If she could have truly been a youma in that moment, claws would have been ripping this fool to shreds.
"A youma?" Piy felt her voice shake as she stepped ever closer to him now, making sure to kick the other male's body as she passed. "A youma. So you are calling me a monster? And here I was going to allow you to pass in mid pleasure." Piy's smile began to return but now it wasn't playful. It was the smile of someone who enjoyed pain.
"Well then. I'll show you a monster." And with a flick of her wrist, the crystal in her hand snapped. Small shards dropped from her hands and fell to the ground as she allowed the life of the other man to disappear from this world just before she launched herself towards his neck.

Themisto didn't expect to find anyone tonight, as his patrol was relatively uneventful. He found a youma or two but they were on the small end of the size scale. The Super Senshi must've gotten better at this, since these youma didn't wind him like they used to. He'd started at the park, then swung by the campus as a near-afterthought. Themisto didn't expect to find an agent about to attack an innocent civilian.
Her signature was unmistakable. And maybe he was too late, but Themisto wasn't about to walk away from this.
He only had one chance, and it was risky, considering the aiming required, but dammit, Themisto had to try.
The Super Senshi ran as fast as his legs (and stupid shoes) would carry him, quickly crossing the campus lawn towards the Chaotic signature on his radar. There they were! Choosing the rapidly-shrinking distance between the Lieutenant and her intended target, Themisto slid into view from behind her. He knew his ghosts would fly towards himself, so if he positioned himself behind the Lieutenant, perhaps she would turn and run right towards him instead of the civilian. "Multorum Animos!"
With a ghastly shriek, three ghostly severed heads appeared just before Toby's body and flew with supernatural speed through the air, directly for Piypite's face.
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Multorum Animos! Second verse, same as the first. Themisto calls out the name and three semi-transparent and semi-horrifying lost souls appear about ten feet behind the target and shoots forward in a cone-like shape very quickly. The souls look the same as the first attack, issuing low, guttural moaning/wailing sounds. If it connects, the target feels great bouts of heartache, sadness and fear. They themselves feel lost or forgotten just like the souls Themisto conjures up. The attack is meant to be a distraction more than anything else.
• Multi-target cone (if there is only one target, this attack simply has a greater chance to connect due to its greater area of effect) • This attack can hit Themisto/allies/other people if the soul is dodged. • The attack lasts 20 seconds. • Themisto can use this attack twice per battle. • The attack can travel through solid matter, but since it dissipates after 10 feet, the solid matter has to be pretty thin for this to mean much of anything.

Toby's eyes widened, and he realized two things at once: First, not all the things that go bump in the night are Youma. Second, that was not the right thing to say!
"No, wait!" he cried out as she smashed the crystal in her hand, but didn't manage to say much else as she lunged, and he recoiled back in fear...
...And then suddenly even more weird and scary things were around him. GHOSTS?? What else was there out there? Not that he'd have much time to reflect, as surely, he was certain, this girl was going to do to him what she'd done to Tom mere moments ago!

Piypite stopped in her tracks as she caught sight of something flying from the center of her being. Something had just passed through her and flown off. Something like...
Her eyes grew to the size of displates as she slowly turned her head around to look over her shoulder. Just as she did, a second head flew towards her and she only had a moment to try and smack it away. Her arm did nothing but her body began to shake. Fear. Dread. She felt lost and angry. Never a good thing to corner a terrified animal ready to hold onto her prey.
"You..." She hissed, turning completely around to face him. "You are one of them..." The words snapped like a growl before she stepped forward.
"You die"

Well, that was unexpected.
Themisto's targets didn't usually get angry and retaliate (though Themisto didn't usually stick around long enough to see the full effects of his attack!). Though she was a rank lower than himself, the fierceness with which she fought would have led him to believe otherwise. The senshi stood his ground, hopeful that maybe he could scare her away long enough to save the one civilian still alive.
"You think you can just kill people without consequence? Well, you can't. Not on my watch, lady."
He had to do everything in his power to keep the agent away from the civilian. They do enough harm when left to their own devices. Piypite stepped forward, as did Themisto, though he felt guilt with having to punch a girl. But if it saved a civilian's life? He'd have to get past that. "Get the hell out of here if you know what's good for you!"

The sudden shift in his assailant's demeanor was...well, completely terrifying. At the very least, though, she didn't make it to his neck. Toby was stunned into inaction for a couple seconds, gawping at the two oddly-dressed people (Maybe they're wizards! was about the only non-panicked thought to pop into his head, but he didn't dwell on it.
He scrambled backward, away from them while he had the chance...but he kept his eyes fixated on the girl--she was the danger, and he didn't want to let her out of his sight while he was still this close.
And, of course, Tom was still there...laying motionless. While the girl and ghost guy shouted at another, he did the only thing he could think of (aside from continuing to get away, of course): He pulled out his cell phone and dialed 9-1-1.
