Thankfully, Prissy had been given the clearance to leave early, thanks to a boss who was either in a jovial enough mood to finish by himself or had been far too fed up with her constant whines about how long the shift was dragging out.

It didn't matter to her - she was getting to leave early!

Hugging the sides of her jacket, she swung open the door, doggy bag of broken sweets in hand, and was prepared to step out into the winter chill when she happened to look down and realize that there was something on the step.

Seeing the black fur made her immediately think it was her sweet Teddy, once again waiting to escort her home. Yet, there was no pink, there was no top hat, only---- oh!

"Lace!"

Instinctively, she bent down to scoop up the tiny cat, along with whatever silver dangling object she seemed to be carrying. "My goodness, sweetheart - I haven't seen you in what feels like forever! Did you come to see me or..."

She shook the bag, offering the kitten a wink, "Did you come to share in the sweets?"

"Wait... w-what?"

The bag of broken sweets was adjusted to allow the kitten to claim the entirety of her arm as she cradled her but it didn't seem that little Lace wanted any part of Prissy's welcoming. But why had she... what in the world?

"Why can't you be seen with me?"

Her gaze rose, glancing around as if expecting to see some looming Negaverse agent with an agenda. There wasn't a soul on the sidewalk, only a few parked cars dotting the spots in front of the various stores that lined the street. Shaking her head, she wrinkled her nose and made her way towards her parked car, the bubblegum pink color definitely standing out from all of the other dreary, drab looking vehicles surrounding it. "Come on now, we can talk in here."

The door opened and kitten, cookies and young woman were deposited, the first two in the passenger seat and the latter in the driver's. The door closed and Prissy turned to look full on at the small black kitten.

"What has gotten into you, Lace? Did Sera tell you that you couldn't see me anymore?"

She'd never met the man but if he dared tried to forbid such a sweet little lady from visiting her friend... well, Prissy wouldn't exactly be a sweet little lady to him.

The young woman grew quiet as she listened to the kitten explain herself, in between sniffles and stutters. Eyeing the silver chain wrapped around the tiny black paw, it didn't take long for Prissy to put two and two together to figure out that the tiny little baubles she kept finding on the doorstep had been coming from Lace and not Teddy, like she'd assumed.

Her expression morphed when the little black cat spoke of her guardian cat. Yes, Theodore was her sweet angel of a cat but that didn't... wait, had he been....?

While her smile wavered for a brief moment, revealing a look that meant she would have to talk to her darling, wonderful son after this, one hand moved out to gently scritch the kitten behind her tiny ears.

"If you cannot be my guardian cat... then I suppose I will just have to settle on you being my friend."

Her words were slow and deliberate, an attempt at calming the crying Mau.

"We can still be friends, can't we Lace?"

Clucking her tongue, the young woman shook her head. Pink curls bounced with the motion as her hand reached for the bag she'd carried into the car with her.

"Theodore is protective of me, yes, but he's also a little boy and there are ways to..." She paused, contemplating her words, "...to convince them when they need convincing."

Out came fragments of cookies, throwaways that Danny allowed her to take home, as opposed to tossing them in the garbage. Two fragments were placed on a napkin, which were then placed in front of the kitten before Prissy took to her own cookie piece, munching thoughtfully.

"Theodore is very self-assured. The best way is to play into him. Remind him of how wonderful he is, let him know that you're not a threat or...." her hand waved dismissively, "Whatever he says you are. Try to be his friend, play into his interests and then he'll be more liable to share his friends with you. Do you understand?"

Prissy's nose immediately wrinkled at the comparison of her sweet, perfect little cat to the filthy wretched furry rat that composed Lace's twin. Silk was nowhere near as wonderful as her magnificent Theodore and if it hadn't been sweet Lace that said it, she might have snapped at the careless comment.

But since it was innocent little Lace who made the inquiry, she simply forced the smile to linger on her face, making a strained effort to keep her voice cheerful, so as to not upset her furry little friend.

"Oh, is that how you get along with your brother? Then surely it will be easy for you - flattering a boy will do wonders on getting in his good graces, I'm sure."

Another cookie piece was retrieved from the bag and Prissy popped it in her mouth, silencing her potentially less-than-kind thoughts about the rotten little fleabag.

Retrieving her keys from her purse, the young woman began the motions of starting up her car. As much as she adored talking with her furry companion, it might be unseemly for anyone walking by to peek in and see her addressing (and feeding cookies to) a cat in the passenger seat.

Upon hearing Lace's question, Prissy's eyes squinted for a moment as she did her best to focus on pulling out of the parking lot. Priscilla herself didn't know exactly how the bonds between cats and senshi worked - connecting with Theodore had been, simply put, like two puzzle pieces coming together.

"I don't see why you can't help any senshi when they're in need, sweetheart." Eyes darted in one direction, then the other as she pulled out into the street. "That's why the Negaverse has sweet kitties like you and Theodore, right?"
