Porrima trembled as she left the scene. It felt like the shaking would never stop, like she would end up vibrating so much that she would change into a different form of matter. She stared up into General Leucite's eyes, tears starting to stream down her face. "Whatever you're going to do, please, just make it quick," she pleaded. At this point, all she could do was pray that her sacrifice would allow someone else to find her brother and save him. If her family lost two children in one night, the results would be catastrophic. As far as she was concerned, there was no turning back. Laura Bright would almost definitely be lost tonight.

Leucite stayed silent until they were more than out of earshot, but when she looked up to him, eyes full of tears and watching them stream down her face, he reached into his jacket and produced a small handkerchief. "Here," He said, his voice wasn't cold - but it wasn't overly warm either. Gone was the gloating, cocksure killer. His face was almost paternal his eyes watching her with a level of care. "It won't do, to bring you in crying. If you need to sob it out - then do so. But you shouldn't feel bad. You made the right choice - a brave choice." He said, again, his tone just a few degrees shy of comforting. "You saved his life tonight - I would have killed him, because that is how this world works." "What was he? Boyfriend? Friend? Sibling? Cousin?" Leucite asked. "Powered Acquaintance? Whatever he was to you - know that you saved his life tonight, what small mercy that might be." As to doing the deed, he frowned. He could not convert her, but he did not dare transport her to Negaspace or call a General-Soverign before he had her calmed to the point of not becoming a total mess the minute they stuck a hand in her - that would be bad enough. "Do you have any questions - about what you're about to do? You're at least coming somewhat willingly - that's more than some can say."

Porrima stared at the kerchief for a moment. "Do you keep these for all the ones you take?" It was a rhetorical question. Cautiously, she took it and wiped at her eyes as she listened to the general talk. Somehow, him telling her that she'd made the right choice made it feel that much more certain for her. She had indeed saved her brother. That was how this world worked, huh? In this dimming moment, that made sense. Sacrifices had to be made, one way or another. Now she knew she was doing the right thing. She gave a final sniff, then exhaled heavily. "I have no questions," she said. "There's no point in asking right now. Whatever you're going to do, I want it done quickly." The sadness was passing, being replaced by a stubborn numbness. It would all be over soon.

"It depends really - on their mental state on when I take them," Leucite said with a small shrug. "Some, like you, need to be consoled and comforted that they made the right decision. Some don't come willingly - though I try to avoid that when I can." He said. "Conscription does horrors to morale and retention - and you tend to get more broken soldiers that way." He pulled out his communicator, letting it rest in his hand for a long moment before he watched her quietly. "I am going to do nothing, unless the General-Queen deems she needs my assistance." He said plainly, watching her. "I can't recruit senshi - only civilians." "But if you really have no questions - I will summon them, and they will do the deed. But we don't have to rush. I trust you to not run off - I'd be more than happy to answer any questions you have about what's about to happen... It's better than going in blind."

"Aren't all people who get corrupted like this broken?" Porrima's voice was flat, barely inflecting to reflect a question. From what she had heard and understood of corruption, people emerged with their slates wiped clean. Who knew what she would have to relearn on the other side? There'd be no way to tell for sure. "Well, if you insist," she said, regarding the questions. "Will the paperwork be taken care of? Will I have a place to stay, new identification, things like that? I don't know if I'll be in a state to take care of that myself when your superior is done with me." If there was going to be erasure, she wanted it to be as simple as possible. The transition period would be very rough, she was sure about that.

"Depends on how you define broken, really..." Leucite said with a small shrug. "I've met plenty of conscripts who lead plenty of productive lives - that aren't worse for wear, all things considered." At her question of paperwork and a place to stay, he nodded. "The Negaverse provides. You will be taken care of - that much I can promise you." He'd provide it himself if he had to - at least to start. He pulled his communication crystal from his coat, and brought it close to his face. "General-Queen Hessonite, I have a new conscript for the Negaverse, and could use some assistance in their conversion if you are free?" The Space Cauldron It's Corruption Time (ages late, but it's a thing!)

Hessonite glanced at her communication crystal and a slow smile spread across her face. “Certainly. I will be there presently.” A conversion. An interesting way to phrase it, so it must be a willing convert if there was no real rush behind it, and that was a good thing. Less would be lost that way. The General Queen grabbed her camera and a notepad before teleporting out of her office and to the location where this ‘conversion’ was to be taking place. “Ah. General Leucite, I thought I recognized your dulcet tones. I do hope you are doing well.” She flashed a smile that reached her eyes, and then her gaze lit on the senshi in question. “And! Hello there. I do hope that this is a choice you are making on your own, it’s so much easier that way. So much less is lost.” She held the camera out to Leucite. “Hold on to this for a moment, General, would you please? Now, what is your name, age and your sphere? I would like it for our records, and so we can make sure your new paperwork is as genuine as possible.” Her pen was poised against the pad and she flashed the girl a reassuring smile. “The Negaverse will be your home. There is nothing to fear.” It would be quick. As soon as the questions were answered and as painless as the woman could make it. Those who came willingly deserved to have their journeys made as easy as possible. They had realized they were in the wrong and were working to correct that.

The Negaverse provides. That made this decision feel kind of cozy, almost. Even at the cost of her very self, Porrima just kept feeling that she was making the right decision. Then again, any amount of spin doctors could appeal to a desperate person. She watched Leucite summon Hessonite with an even gaze, but when the General-Queen herself arrived, Porrima shuddered at the overwhelming aura. It was so huge and dark, as though the sky was being blotted out by it. The General-Queen's mention of the choice being willing made Porrima speak briefly, then change her mind. "It's... never mind." It didn't matter. The choice was made, whether it was totally willing or not. Why the camera, though? How odd. In any case, she answered the questions asked of her. "Laura Bright. 18 years old. Sphere is Laws." She felt condemned even further once she spoke her civilian name aloud. "Just... please. Do it."

Leucite took the camera without question. Though in all honesty - he was still unsure what these were even for. He had - sadly - missed Hessonite's explanation of their purpose when she'd dismissed them from Spec. Ops. All the same, it wasn't a thing he was going to bring up - or question. However, if Porrima felt that it was better to not admit that she was not fully willing, Leucite knew he had to speak up. "She's not entirely willing, General-Queen," He said, watching Porrima as he spoke. "But she was very brave, and offered herself in exchange for the life of a Transcended. I think she will make a good addition to our cause, and I left the Transcended in enough of a state that I doubt they will be able to pursue any sort of rescue attempt." It was the nicest way he could say that he'd left the man to die - bleeding out on the pavement - that wouldn't send the girl running in fear.

“Mhm.” Hessonite wrote down the information and let the pen and pad vanish after a moment. She couldn’t deny that she was a little put out by the fact that…this wasn’t an entirely willing corruption…but hopefully. Hopefully some of this brave mind would be preserved. “Bravery is something that we pride in the Negaverse. And the senshi of Laws, hm? What an interesting sphere.” She drew close and ran a finger through the girl’s silky hair, giving a sigh. “This will be over soon. Stay brave, senshi.” Her hand slid into Porrima’s chest easily and she held the starseed gently in the palm of her hand, before wrapping her fingers around it almost as though it were a flower that she were going to pluck. Hessonite gave one last smile before she began to push in the chaos. It would hurt, but when it was over, all of Porrima’s sins would be on the road to being forgiven. She would be something greater. Something—Someone who would have a greater purpose in things. She would be a servant of the Negaverse. Where she belonged. As for her memories...well. Time would tell if those survived this.

Porrima winced a little when Hessonite stroked her hair, but it wasn't the full-on flinch she had in mind. She almost felt a bit flattered by being considered brave by a General-Queen, but at this point, she was trying to keep herself as numb as possible so that she wouldn't feel grief when everything disappeared. When the hand passed through her chest, she gasped and reflexively reached up; it took the last of her self-control to stay her hand from going any further. She felt something flow into her, followed by an excruciating, crushing pain unlike anything she had ever felt. This was enough to make her scream, a shrill, piercing noise. If she had more presence of mind, she would have apologized for that, but she didn't and couldn't. Soon, everything seemed to wash over her in sheer blackness, and she fainted away, going silent and falling limp. The transformed senshi on the other end was completely corrupted. Something new had been born, and what the mangled seed on the other end would blossom into was anyone's guess. Torvil I think this is (almost?) a wrap! Thanks, guys!

Leucite remembered the searing, soul scathing pain of corruption, but it had been a long time for him since he'd felt the power coursing through his soul. But pain was necessary, it tempered you, strengthening you against the rigors of what was to come. Even with that tempering, too many of their number had broken - turning to seek solace in the sweet lies of the White Moon. Every one of the White Moon that they could convert back to the side of righteousness was a blessing. Porrima was a blessing. She may not know that yet - and Leucite would not say as much aloud, but he could respect her reasoning for converting, even if it had not been entirely voluntary. It had been voluntary enough in his mind, to not count her in the number of forced conscripts. Still, senshi were duplicitous by nature, their hearts were alien after all, there was no telling if or when she would attempt to betray them. So to that end he held her corruption with some level of distrust, but kept that filed away in the back of his mind like he did with all other corrupt senshi. Even the most loyal dog will turn on its master given the right circumstance. He held the camera out to the General-Queen, his brow raised in a silent question, as he wasn't sure exactly what it was for, but he didn't want to interrupt any possible questions she had for the new corrupt senshi.

Hessonite grit her teeth at the scream and felt a small wave of sympathy for the senshi. She knew what it was like to feel that pain. To feel that darkness that overtook everything. She knew, but she also knew the wonder and safety that lay on the other side. When the corruption was complete, Hessonite kept her arm loosely around the senshi and made sure she was steady on her feet before giving her a look over and grinning broadly. “Welcome home, Lawsonite.” It seemed a fitting name for the senshi of Laws, a slight play on words, and the fact that…hopefully the girl wouldn’t remember what her former role in this war was, there would be no way to tie her back to her past if she had no access to it. “Tell me, what is it that you remember?” Carefully, Hessonite took the camera from Leucite with a pleased smile. “How astute of you, now, Leucite, please stand with your new senshi, won’t you? You will be the one assigned to take care of her from here on out, I think that’s only fitting. Or, if you don’t feel up to the task than at least make sure she gets settled in all right.” Hessonite fiddled with the settings on the camera for a moment and held it to her eye, ready to take a few pictures. It would be good for Lawsonite to have at least something to remember this day with. It was her birthday. The day she was coming home. It was important. Strong memories, strong emotional ties led to much less of a chance of a person leaving the Negaverse. "Smile, you two. This is a celebration."

Corrupt Sailor Lawsonite blinked, staring at the world fresh eyes. It took her a moment to realize, somewhere in her mind, that she was being spoken to, and by a lovely red-haired woman at that. She seemed vacant for a moment, slowly processing the scene in front of her. Finally, she spoke: "Remember...? What is there to remember?" There was a peculiar sort of nothingness in Lawsonite's head, a thoroughly empty void that wouldn't produce anything no matter how hard it was poked and prodded. Still, when Hessonite mentioned a celebration, Lawsonite smiled despite herself. Something good was happening, wasn't it? "What are we celebrating?" The words came slowly, in a simplistic, almost childlike tone. Celebration was a good, happy thing. Lawsonite wanted to know about the happy thing.

Leucite discovered a new respect for Hessonite in that moment, and he did manage a very small grin to show through to allow her to take the photos she required. It was an almost insidious way to bring in corrupts. Changing the narrative like that. After all - for all they knew, Lawsonite was a blank slate. The childlike tone did not bode well, all things considered, but perhaps with time, it would not take much for the girl to be back to where she'd been where she'd started. Leucite, for his part, would ensure the girl either found a proper handler or take care of her himself. After all - he could always use more senshi in the Training Corps... "Your return to your proper place," Leucite said softly, his tone almost paternal in a way, as he placed a very gentle hand on Lawsonite's back. "Welcome home."
